Green orbs scanned the large auditorium, it looked like something out of The Little Mermaid! Poppy's eyes seemed to glitter in wonderment. She felt a little odd watching everyone around her, they were all strangers to her. Never the less she was just happy to dress up in her coral colored prom dress she made, it made her feel like an ocean princess. Her neck was adorn in multiple small pearl necklaces, her bright red hair was pinned back with pearl-like seashell hairpins. The young maiden made her way through the room looking around, her gaze fell onto a table. It was full of snacks! She skipped delicately over to the table picking up a small plate with a piece of cake on it and took a fork, she turned to watch the girls dancing, taking a bite of the cake.
(Sorry if she is kinda out of place, thought maybe a good first place to show Poppy!)

The white haired girl was shy and uncertain about dancing at all. These facts did absolutely nothing to deter Ubu as she immediately proceeded to the dance floor with a girl on her arm. When she heard the girl's name it sounded even more like something you'd hear a westerner be named. Adding her obviously foreign name to the foreign and exotic appearance just made Ubu even more curious about it. It also seemed that Cecilia was looking to someone else a couple of times, which made Ubu curious. Did she have a friend to meet? Standing where her dance partner was looking was an older girl with dark hair and plain clothes. And a face that Ubu instantly recognized as her German pursuer from the other day, which made her even more motivated to get onto the dance floor. That way they'd be able to blend in with the crowd a bit and not get noticed by the girl who would probably try to steal that cool old rosary back. Which oddly was in Ubu's pocket right now since she had yet to find a museum to donate it to. As they arrived at the dance floor Ubu glanced at Rin and Margeaux to see how they were doing things, then took up a position similar to leading. Only as she started awkwardly moving through dance steps and nearly stumbling a few times did Cecilia's concerns reach her. That just made her grin and respond, "Hey don't worry about it, I don't know how to dance at all. I'm just making this up as I go along.." With that she decided to ask, "So Cecilia-chan, where are you from? You look a lot different than the other girls here.. it's pretty neat! In fact it's downright pretty, I'd say."

Arm in arm, Naoko made way to the dance floor. Her long coat trailed along behind her as she held the smirk on her face as they got started. Kakura spoke honestly. She had gotten pretty good at noticing when people were lying and this was not one of those times. It was a very interesting little detail. As the blonde slipped, first on accident and then purposefully falling into her arms, LeRim swung Kakura around. "Oh? I know I'm good, but I didn't realize I'm that good." she said, "And here I was thinking you just wanted to make use of my other skills." She snickered a bit and dipped Kakura down in a very dramatic fashion. The "pirate" was barely paying any attention to the music that was playing. Whether or not her dancing matched up with it was secondary to what matched up with what she wanted to do. "Lucky for us, then, right?" she said, "Not so lucky for the school...but, hey...Isn't that what makes it fun?" As Naoko-chan swung her around, Kakura blushed. It was indeed a different feeling than the one she had with Shun-chan. Back then, it was Shun-chan's enthusiasm and gusto that made her feel a special doki-doki in her heart. With Naoko-chan, she had that same open flair. That kind of flirtiness that made it exciting. Kakura looked into her crush's eyes, blushed deeply and replied. "Nah, gal, when it comes to that stuff. I'll help you. Rule breaking has become a rather fun hobby for me, besides with you by my side I don't think I could lose." They shared dance steps for a bit before Naoko-chan dipped her down again, Kakura blushed some more thinking about how aggressive Naoko-chan can be in the dancing lead. It was an unusual and surprisingly good feeling to be the Uke every once and a while. She then pulled Naoko-chan down with her, holding her slender waist gently and nibbling on her ear, whispering rather seductively in her ear. "You're right, Naoko-chan. It makes it so much fun." She slid her hand through Naoko-chan's hair softly, admiring it almost as she chuckled. "What'd do you say we make sure we sneak away a secret stash, just for the two of us? Miss Moneybags doesn't need everything, and she doesn't need to know anything. I hate Mai-san now. Can you believe how she turned me down?" Kakura went from flirting and seducing her lover to the typical trash talk that would normally accompany two older gf's in that 'sort of crowd'.

Meeting this girl, a potential new friend, was enough to send Junko into excited fits. That fact that she was (apparently) the sister of HER sisters girlfriend was a nice bonus. If anything, the Spican knew how it felt to be separated from your sister. Her mind went back to those summer months, where Kagami was away and she was still home. She remembered endless hours of riding Rai, or sitting in her room. She had been terribly lonely and had missed Kagami a whole lot. While Hiroko, who had never met this sister, would probably not feel exactly like that, it made Junko feel more obliged to help her; no one deserved those feelings. Junko frowned again at Hirokos protests: she didn't really understand why anyone wouldn't want to meet their sister immediate. She, with her over- confidence and sweet outlook, just couldn't seem to put the concepts together. But she also didn't want to make Hiroko uncomfortable; this was a big step, and if she wasn't ready to take it... Well, she would respect that. "Well... If you wanna wait, Hiroko- chan, you can. In the mean time, do you wanna hang out with me?" She smiled brightly, clasping her hands in front of her. "My girlfriends not here yet, and I wasn't doing anything else!"The mention of her injury brought a slightly embarrassed smiled. "Oh, it was nothing... I was thrown from one of the schools horses because my stallion was sick. Broken leg and concussion, but it could've been much worse." She sighed. "I mean, I could run for Student Council President again, but I could've been hurt a lot worse."

Post by Kagami Hiruko on Mar 27, 2014 14:16:14 GMT -5
The gentle kiss on the cheek from her beloved was enough to make the whitenette feel she was glowing; glowing with a kind of love and happiness that, a year ago, she might have denied herself. All the fear and hurt had been replaced by such pure affection, such strong feelings that there was little room for anything else. Kagami watched eagerly as Maiko unwrapped her gift, so excited to see if she would like it. Her response to the music was gratifying and she couldn't help but giggled. "I'm g-glad you like it, Maiko- chan! I remember how beautiful it was... The music I heard you play, I mean. And... I w-wanted to help." She blushed slightly as she spoke, her smile never once faltering. It grew even more at Maikos reaction to her drawing. She blushed even more as well, looking down modestly. "Th-Thank you, Maiko- chan... I know I draw a lot for you, b-but it's only because you mean so much to me."Then it was her turn. She nodded eagerly at Maikos question with an "Of course!" The looked down at the package in her hands. She was so excited it took all her self control not to tear into it. When the paper was carefully removed and the contents examined, Kagami held up the painting, admiring the incredible artwork. "Oh, Maiko- chan... It's... It's gorgeous! Oh, Leis even there!" The book took her by surprise, picking it up, she looked up, smiling brightly. The CD was the one that Kagami was most enchanted by; she could practically hear the notes already, and the knowledge that her beloved had created this just for her made her blush heavily. Gently arranging everything in the box she reached out and hugged Maiko, happiness radiating off of her. "M-Maiko- chan... I love it so much. Thank you!"

Post by Akari Muraoka on Mar 27, 2014 20:12:37 GMT -5
A girl with short dark brown hair wearing a light blue tea length dress adorned with white heart accents, white gladiator sandals, and a red rose choker; made her way cautiously into the auditorium. Going to balls was so unlike her, for being at a ball meant encountering other girls, and Akari didn't trust anybody. Yet despite this, Akari decided to go to the ball as to test her courage. Akari made her way over to the side of the auditorium, out of everybody's way, and observed the party. She leaned her back against the wall and touched the rose on her choker "Can I really do this?" the girl spoke quietly to herself.

The ball was going along quite well, for Naoko. Not only had she made a few extra bucks, but she was also enjoying quite the dance with her partner-in-crime. Kakura was proving to be a little bit of a handful. Which was not exactly a bad thing. Up to and including the notion of sneaking away a little extra reserves for themselves. She wasn't sure if Amy would care. The Russian was one cool customer. Hard to read and even resistant to her charms.
Still, once they were in the winery, it was open season on whatever they could carry. "Don't see why we can't get creative." she grinned as the girl took a nibble on her ear. She pulled Kakura up again and took a few more steps.
"My, my aren't we in a mood." she said, through a smirk, "No need to drag Mai into it. She's been my pal, ever since I got here."
Ever the loyal type, Naoko wasn't familiar with whatever slight the green haired girl had made against her current companion, but this was not something she was about to listen to without a comment or two. Pulling Kakura in close, she quirked a pierced eyebrow up towards the ceiling. She leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "Now...you wouldn't be trying to trash my friends, would you? 'Cuz that would really ruin mood."

Pulling Kakura in close, she quirked a pierced eyebrow up towards the ceiling. She leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "Now...you wouldn't be trying to trash my friends, would you? 'Cuz that would really ruin mood." The dance was progressing along smoothly, much more smoothly than she ever thought possible. She had let her feelings take over and Naoko-chan responded accordingly, the two really were a great fit for each other. She thought to herself as Naoko-chan pulled her up to her, her eyes became blank with admiration as she blushed at her lover, tracing her steps. "I can't help but be in a mood" Kakura replied shyly. "After all, you're so cool and sexy. That's why I felt as though I had to step up my game." When she felt Naoko-chan's lips on her ears, it made her heart thump even louder. And she fell more into her lover's arms. To support herself, she once again slid her arms around Naoko-chan's waist. And perhaps, even if they hadn't meant it they probably did take it to another, steamier level. Probably getting the attention of most of the girls. When she heard Naoko-chan defend Mai-chan, and explained her feelings Kakura felt bad all of a sudden. She knew what it was like to have close friends, and how to have their back no matter what. It was a punk or street sort of code. Well, it could be a code in general but for gals like them, it's a pledge of honor and breaking it can be really serious. Which is why Kakura looked her lover in the eyes more seriously and apologized profusely. "I'm sorry, Naoko-chan!". "It's just......I always admired Mai-san from afar since we were both Miator. And I wanted Mai-san to recognize me. When she turned me down, I was angry and jealous. I guess I wanted someone else to kind of share those feelings with." "I don't want to ruin this mood, I want to spend this night. Even if it's only this night, with my precious Naoko-chan."

There definitely appeared to be more than a set of eyes on the oddly dressed pair on the dance floor. Naoko was enjoying herself, even if she had this one little bone to pick with the blonde. Kakura did make her case, though. It was something similar to what she had noticed back at the restaurant. She seemed to like building up her heroes in her mind, holding these girls up on a pedestal.
And now, Kakura wished to spend an evening with her "precious Naoko-chan". That was an old title to be given. Very few had ever come close to describing her like that. Outside of one girl, that she had not seen in quite some time. The other...well, that was another story, entirely.
"Well, then I guess we can deal with that later." she shrugged a shoulder. She had said her piece. And it wasn't like there was much to be done about it right now. Perhaps they could rebuild a bridge or two after the night was over. Just not during...that would be a bit tiresome.
"After all, I came her for two reasons. To make money and to dance with a pretty girl." she half grinned, "And so far, I think I've been taking of all that."

It took almost all of her willpower not to run off and cling to Kanako-oneesama, her benefactor and guardian on Astraea, as Ubu led her out onto the dance floor. She knew how do dance, yes… but it wasn't something she really wanted to do in front of all these people. Add to that the fact that in one of her more recent Ballroom Dancing classes she'd had a seizure, and it all added up to a rather uncomfortable Cecilia. Still, Kanako-oneesama had wanted her to go over and at least talk with this girl, and she really, REALLY didn't want to let Kanako-oneesama down. Not after all she'd done for her.
So, it wasn't that surprising, given how nervous Cecilia was that she messed up the steps a few times, but not as badly as Ubu did. However, she tried her best to keep going, and couldn't come up with anything to say when she found out that Ubu was just winging it. She felt awkward, not knowing what to say or do at this point, and let her eyes flicker toward where Kanako-oneesama, only to lose sight of her in the crowd.
Her eyes flew back to Ubu and widened dramatically behind her glasses as the girl called her pretty. Cecilia knew what pretty was, and it definitely wasn't her. Sure, Rin had thought the color of her eyes were pretty, but it was the color. Ubu had straight up called her pretty, and that caused her face to turn bright red as she blushed. "Y-you really think I-I'm pretty?" she asked, sounding shocked. It took her a moment before she was able to continue. "I-I, uh, I was born in Sweden… b-but I've only been back there a couple times. My-my family traveled around a lot. I've lived in a lot of places." She was still blushing as she talked, the red showing up very dramatically against her almost unnaturally pale skin. Her blush intensified as she started speaking again. "A-And you're a pretty good dancer."

Being in a close relationship with someone was so new and honestly scary that Eriko was simply happy to have a change of pace. That's why she'd decided to change the tone suddenly by feigning a fatal brain freeze. Lying had been such a way of life that the redhead could do it at the drop of a hat. In a way Eriko might be able to challenge Yuwa in an acting contest since she was so adept at pretending. Yuwa screaming out in shock to go along with her faux emergency was hard to deal with. Mainly in terms of keeping her deadpan expression since Eriko really wanted to smile at that. Her big sister.. no, her girlfriend was following her lead with something rather ridiculous. Too perfect!
"Eriko can see that baseball diamond in the sky.. it's.. it's too late, Lily-oneesama," Eriko responded as she remained limp in Yuwa's arms, pretending for all the world that she really was fading away. Actually she hoped that Yuwa of all people would be able to tell that she was acting, since the dark haired girl knew her so well. Nobody ever died of a brain freeze, but they could make people think that it was possible.
She reached up and gently touched Yuwa's cheek with her expression remaining emotionless. Then came a very unexpected kiss from the older girl which changed how Eriko was going to approach this scene. From what little she did know about fairy tales a kiss was supposed to be the silver bullet that made everything better. True love's kiss, she thought it was called. Of course she was still new to the whole kissing business so she did feel instinctive surprise at the passionate feeling such contact gave her. Despite herself she blushed a little in reaction while remaining more or less limp in Yuwa's arms. Then she closed her eyes, breathed shallowly and finally gazed back up at Yuwa with a concerned look in her eyes.
"Lily-oneesama, you shouldn't have kissed Eriko. That brain freeze... that milkshake didn't kill Eriko, she's.. she's turning undead. And now you will turn undead too," Eriko said gravely, just a hint of emotion in her words as she snuggled close to the older girl despite her words. It was sure hard to keep a straight face when she was feeling so happy!

Neither first year girl was all that blessed when it came to tripping the light fantastic, but that was okay. Ubu as usual was making it up as she went along, the results of which weren't absolutely horrendous. Sure they looked worse at it than all the other girls on the dance floor but there was charm in their slowly improving dance. A pair of girls just enjoying the night and not caring what anybody else thought about how they looked. That was at least how Ubu was treating the situation as she happily stumbled her way through the steps. With some actual practice she might've been more dashing than she was now but all the same she was happy to just be doing something. Plus this very unique looking girl was actually a lot more interesting than just looks alone could have indicated.
As it turned out she was just as exotic as some other people Ubu had been given the good fortune to have met. Born in Sweden but a world traveler already at her age! Ubu was very interested in learning more about the girl's experiences in all the places she'd lived. Now she knew a secret Egyptian princess and a Swedish girl with snowy hair and ruby eyes. Pretty neat! This Cecilia girl didn't seem very confident about herself but it didn't matter if she didn't realize she was pretty. That was a simple fact that nobody could change. Her blushing just emphasized how awesomely unique and pretty she was, since it matched her eyes pretty well. Ubu knew she wasn't a very good dancer, but she appreciated the support her impromptu partner gave her. In fact Ubu laughed at the praise and looked quite jovial as she continued to mess up.
"You're very kind, Cecilia-chan! I'm not a very gifted dancer but the fact that you say I'm good makes me feel a lot better about this," she explained as she narrowly avoided stepping on the other girl's toes, "And it's really great that you've been able to visit all kinds of places, I'm jealous! Well actually I've been to North Africa once.. I think I lived there.. definitely did a really long time ago. But that was a past life. Anyway, Sweden huh? Sounds neat. And yes, you are definitely pretty Cecilia-chan! I like your hair and eyes especially."

Thankfully Junko was willing to slow down on the idea of going to meet Maiko despite the enthusiasm she clearly had for the suggestion. Just finding out whom she was related to had been a harrowing experience for Hiroko, especially when she found out the girl was an Etoile. Her friends had helped her decide that tonight was the best time to visit her since it was certain she'd be in attendance. Going over to introduce herself was a very scary idea, which she'd have to work up the courage to do. Maybe this girl, her sister's girlfriend's sister could help her ease into the meeting after all. Hearing that Junko was waiting for her own girlfriend alarmed Hiroko, though, and she thought maybe going to meet Maiko would be better sooner rather than later. No reason to get in the way of two people who were happy together right?
"Y-you're waiting f-for.. your girlfriend? I.. I bet she's v-very nice.." Hiroko remarked, hoping that was an appropriate statement. Certainly it didn't seem likely to upset Junko at all, though she was ready with an apology if it did. Then she had a thought and giggled, "Y-you know, we're.. um.. we're the Etoile Sisters... our sisters are Etoile together after all.."
Then she cringed at the injuries Junko said she'd endured after falling off a horse. Those were exactly the kind of terrible things that made her really not want to do anything sports related! Junko seemed no worse the wear for it, which was good all the same.
"I-I'm g-glad you're okay now.. that... um.. that sounds p-painful," she remarked before asking, "So.. um.. wh-what kind of p-p-person is Maiko-sama? I'd l-l-like to know.."

The sweet warmth that transferred from one another made her heart race with excitement. The very presence of her GF alone makes her happy. As Eriko-chan touched her cheeks, Yuwa blushed deeply. She wondered what, if anything there was to do. Acting was Eriko's specialty but not Yuwa's. So Eriko-chan would have to take the lead. As Eriko looked up at her, Yuwa held her hand softly but firmly, returning to the role of acting. "Eriko.......Eriko!" She looked concerned or at least tried to. It was a valiant effort, but even more valiantly it took everything to keep from laughing. "Undead....What do you mean by that, Eriko....?" As Eriko fell limp again and snuggled, Yuwa also acted as she also fell to the ground. But she whispered softly in Eriko's ears as they nuzzled. "Aishiteru yo, Eriko-chan."

They had the small crowd's attention without question. Such was the oddness and range of acting skills that they had an audience for what would normally just be a quirky Eriko moment. The redhead really didn't know how she wanted to follow up that which had attracted that audience though. Actually Yuwa was having a hard time too; Eriko could hear just the tiniest hint of a near laugh in the older girl's voice. Now was the time to bring things to a proper conclusion. Eriko was feeling so warm and fuzzy, doki doki really, snuggling up to Yuwa that she needed some alone time. Yuwa also pretty much hinted that having some would be nice.
"Big finale, Lily-oneesama," she whispered first, doing her best not to move or hint at what came next. Then she jerked her hand, then her arm. Slowly she acted as if she were reanimating from the brainfreeze death, reaching out with her arms towards the now confused girls in their little audience.
"Braaaaaiiins..." she groaned, starting to stand up and heading for the nearest girl. Some playfully screamed, others stared oddly, but most of them backed away. Even the consummate liar Eriko couldn't keep a straight face, ending up back on the couch next to Yuwa.
There was a tiny little smile as she whispered, "Eriko's ready to go, Lily-oneesama.."
