~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika nodded to Lorelei. "Well, I am glad for that. The last thing I wish to do is upset someone unintentionally." Which was the truth and it was why she didn't press further in asking about the other girl's former home given that she'd spoken of how it was while she lived there. She didn't want to assume that she hated it or loved it, leaving that up to her to speak of how she felt about her former place of home. Although it would seem that she was worried for nothing. Admittedly the girl stated she liked it and it was home to her without any sense of appearing upset or bitter about how she grew up like most would be in her situation. Lorelei didn’t seem to be so that was good. “I don’t think that’s true. There are probably some people that do care, it’s just really difficult to get them interested. While it is true that language can be a barrier keeping others from getting to know each other, I don’t feel that way. If anything, it’s quite interesting to learn a new language different from your own,” Rika said to her. However, she became curious as to who Brutus was seeing as how the raven haired girl had mentioned someone of such name. “Who is Brutus?” she asked out of curiousity.
Lore nodded. "You are different. Language is like a wall I think. You get past it to do anything. It is not fun, it is hard and wastes time where I could get things done. But I can't go around the wall." Lore did not seem to hold this girl's fascination of language or learning. She hadn't found learning japanese to be interesting, just another reminder of having to adapt to a new place she hadn't wanted to be. But she had done it, though perhaps the resentment still showed through sometimes.
"Brutus?" Lore's eyes lit up at the idea of talking about her favorite thing. She had too be careful though, she couldn't give to much away. "Brutus is the best. He is why I do these things. I will make motorcycle and he will ride with me. Together we will be the coolest on earth and everyone will look at us and say wow." She grinned. "Brutus is the best and I'm gonna do everything to make him better." She had not betrayed that she lived with Brutus in her dorm nor had she revealed that Brutus was an otter. This secret was easy. Of course none of this hid the devotion from her eyes and voice. The love was there and it was strong.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, she suppose she could agree with Lorelei at the fact that she was different. The two of them grew up completely different than the other but they were both making the best of the situation of being here on the grounds of Astrea and attending the schools that were present upon it. She wasn't sure if Lorelei wanted to attend a school in a place that was different from her home but Rika wanted to just attend school. To be around others her own age. It would vary as to whether or not if she'd make friends but that was alright with her. So long as she at least had the chance to experience what it is like to go to school and be out of the house instead of cooped up in it all day. There were so many different people that came to visit Japan that Rika would've liked to meet some of them. Whether they were foreign or natives to the country. She was not offended by what the other girl had said but instead nodded her head in agreement with her while smiling. "I suppose I am different but that's okay with me," she said, laughing a bit as she lightly scratched the side of her cheek. She became surprised, however, when Lorelei expressed great affection and admiration for something or someone by the name of Brutus when she'd asked. With this being an auto club, she wasn't entirely sure if the girl was talking about a vehicle she'd named. It didn't seemed strange that people gave their vehicles names. But as she listened to her speak more, she came to realize that whomever Brutus was, it wasn't a vehicle of any kind. Despite her own curiosity in wanting to know more, Rika settled for what she'd been given and thought it seemed nice for her to be excited about something. "Brutus sounds so nice. I can tell that you care so much about them from how you speak so highly in their regard," Rika said.

Lore blushed a little and smiled awkwardly. "He's very nice usually. He can get a little rough sometimes but that's just part of the fun. And it's totally worth it just for a little kiss on the cheek." She looked to one sideand and laughed a little. It was a bit embarrassing to talk so freely but Brutus was the absolute best. She half caught herself though. "But he can't be on campus of course. So I only get to visit him on holidays." Lore kept her smile though. It was the most genuine happiness she'd shown all day. "I hope to be able to ride a motorcycle with him by next summer so we can share a bike and go down to the beach together. It'd be lovely. Swimming's his favorite thing to do other than bikes." Of course he would love bikes. Lore loved bikes and they were so in sync.
"That's why this club means so much to me. It's something I love and he loves and we can get closer through the motorcycles." She knew that she'd never manage to build a bike in that time, not from scratch. Buying a kit might mean she could but those were expensive and no club fund could allow for a personal use thing such as that. She could always ask her sister but that didn't sound like an idea that would turn out well and would probably end in another lecture. She hated those lectures, it wasn't as if Kari knew all that much more than her about anything. Kari didn't even know her, it wasn't fair. Lore shook the thoughts out of her head. She had to keep the dream alive, if she focused on that dream, then it was sure to come true. All the hard work would eventually pay off and her grand utopia on the open road would be every day life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (OOC: Long overdue post, sorry about that.)
"That's better than nothing. You get to spend time with Brutus whenever you're able and as long as he knows that you still care about him no matter how far apart you are from each other, that's what matters the most" Rika said, nodding her head. She could relate in many ways since she felt that way about her brother Riko. Oh sure they could've attended the same school together and it couldn't been a co-ed one but still provided substantial education for the both of them but their parents and Rika included felt it was time for the two of them to expand themselves in other surroundings. Besides, Rika longed to have friends of her own someday and she wanted that chance. She wasn't sure what Lorelei thought of her per say but the hazel eyed teen supposed that she could consider the girl a new friend. She liked different things compared to other girls and that's what intrigued Rika about her the most. She knew nothing about the ins and outs of a vehicle but it sounded like something awesome to learn. "This club sounds like it would be a lot of fun for me and I can experience something entirely new too! I'm pumped full of excitement! That is ... if I'm still allowed to be a member. The only thing I'm part of is the student council but I'll have to admit that doing paperwork can be a tad boring from time to time but it's a job so I'm not going to complain," she said with a sheepish laugh. Miator didn't have an auto club so she didn't see the harm of joining a club created by one of the other schools. Rika never read anything in the handbook that said students couldn't do that so what harm could it cause?
Lore nodded to herself, Being with Brutus was what mattered. And whatever she could do to drive the bond deeper was a good thing. "Well I don't know what the student council is like. Do you like meet every day or something?" She had never paid much attention to the people at the top of the student pyramid since they didn't really matter. Teachers were in charge, you could tell since you had to go to them for permission forms and stuff. "Right now we don't have days to meet all the weeks since it's just me." Though she had been planning to do it every day. After all, other than her time spent with Brutus, Lore didn't really do anything around campus.
"I guess we can be more informal with people coming in when they have a chance." Though they'd have to have even more members for that to not look like a cop out if somebody checked in on the club. And if they had to do events then that would be really tricky. Still, there was no choice if she wanted to have her own club. She'd just have to recruit some people. "So you can join. Having a member on the council might be helpful too since you help plan school club events."
"I don't know about paperwork though. There probably is something to fill out but I did all the club approval papers so I think adding members doesn't matter. I guess I have to write names down so if people ask me things but I don't think you have to submit stuff." Lore shrugged. She hadn't planned on having any more than herself and two made up people so she wasn't sure what actual people had to do. Frankly, the only reason she was in charge of the club was because she assumed she was the only one who wanted to have it exist. She'd much rather somebody else managed it. Probably that was why other clubs had jobs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika shook her head to the other girl's question. "Iie, not that I am aware of. I haven't been told to attend any meetings thus far but I do need to pay the student council a visit. Just so they know and remember that I am a part of it. That and I don't want to be kept out of the loop on anything important," she told her. Other than that, Rika's time was pretty much free to do what she wanted once her homework was finished but she didn't think the student council would have a problem with an auto club being fashioned. She saw no reason as to why it would be but to be sure, she'll ask in order to help out. But from what Lorelei said, she had the paperwork in but not even Rika knew exactly how long it took to process club paperwork. Guess she'll find out soon enough. "Well, that works out just fine for me since there are no set days to meet. The student council will probably ask about that though but if you're uncertain about anything, I can always ask and relay what they say to you. I want to be useful to the club after all."
She just wanted to be useful somewhere. And it made her happy that she could join another club. Her parents might not approve of her being part of such a club but it was different and Rika liked trying different things. This was the time to do so. "Arigatou for letting me join. I can handle the club paperwork for you until more members join and then we'll have more people to help out. Maybe I can make some flyers and put the word out about the auto club just to see who all may be interested. Unless you may have a different idea for advertisement." Rika wasn't sure if flyers was what Lorelei wanted to go for in trying to attract other students to the auto club but if not that was fine. She'll go with whatever ideas she put together and help out as much as she was able.

"That is fine probably." Lore said. "Just tell me when you know about the council so that we can have meetings as official." Lore thought for a moment. Maybe she was misunderstanding what the girl was saying. It had been known to happen, after all, she was not entirely fluent in the language even now. She ran through the conversation quickly, sure that she had missed something. "Wait, no. This club is official. I am on the list of the school now already." She said. Rika must have thought that the club hadn't been formed and submitted. "I have teacher approval and stuff. I mean forms for..." She paused and tried to think of the words. "making forms for new members, or for putting paper on wall for advertising permissions." Lore waved her hand in a cycling motion. "Papers for that permission from the student council."
If Rika went and started asking them questions and for paperwork, somebody might notice how sloppy the original stuff was. Then they might find out that she faked all the members to be labeled an official club. Lore'd already gotten lucky once, she didn't think she could do it a second time. "Just make sure you are not written down for two events at once. Ask for when they need you and things like that. I can get paperwork, I just am not good at Japanese and having somebody else write it out might be better so it looks more business like and not done by an idiot."
As much as it pained her to say it, there was a better chance of getting the important things done if people could read her handwriting. Her mind flashed to the dozens of papers back in her dorm with comments from the Japanese teacher and pretty much all the other ones. Still, it wasn't like it was her fault. She didn't grow up here, it was hard. "Your idea is good. Just get permission and we can work it out together next week or something."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika nodded. "I can do that. Sounds really easy and it can be done in no time," she told her. It sounded simple enough that didn't require too much strenuous activity on her body so she could work with this. Rika was just happy to be part of something where she could learn something different. That's what she always aspired to do was learn as much as she could in case things turned for the worst. However, she was going to remain optimistic that things would be fine and she would have an awesome year here on the grounds of Astrea. Sure her school and uniform was different from the girl's in front of her but so what. Didn't mean they couldn't be friends or hang out based on that. That's just silly. Plus, anything that she didn't know, she could help Lorelei with and it seemed that she struggled more with Japanese so that was a start and it'd given her an idea. "Well, if you need some help with Japanese, I can always teach you whenever you have some free time. I don't mind. I know it's not the easiest language to learn. Simply because a lot of words don't have a Japanese equivalent and slang is usually the more obvious but with some practice, I'm sure you'll do just fine," Rika offered to the girl. It was up to her to take it for she didn't have to. At least whenever she had to fill out any forms or sign papers involving the club, she wouldn't be entirely confused or wondering if she did something wrong on it.
