Lore sat down in the corner of the small shack. There was some sense of accomplishment but mostly it was just agony and exhaustion. She'd finally got permission for the machinist club over the summer. One of the teachers had signed off on it but Lore really didn't expect to see her visit very often. Clubs at this school were weird and she didn't understand it but she'd been accepted officially and that was all she needed. Of course, she was the clubs only member but that suited her fine. Regardless of that, she'd even managed to get approved for a club room. Admittedly it was an old garden shed that had been used for storage but that was fine too. On arrival, she'd hung up a sign reading "Club de Maquinista". In her head, she just had to move everything to the back. Of course trying to do that led to her finding out that there were a ton of holes in the shed and the roof leaked very badly. Most of the documents and tools and everything were badly damaged by water. In the end, she'd just taken all of the papers and boxes to the library and left them in a back corner. Library people liked paper stuff, they could have a mystery or whatever they did with old stuff. Slowly, after many trips up and down the hill, the little shed was transformed.
Now she sat in a very empty room, she would need furniture, and to clean the floors, and to find tools. Clubs had a budget, she remembered that but how much she wasn't sure, though she was also sure that they had told her it was based on popularity or members or something. So that didn't bode well. Lore looked up at the roof, but even before any of that could get done, she had to patch holes. Where was she going to find the stuff to patch holes? She groaned. It was like a snake eating itself. Lore pulled her knees up to her chest and hung her head. So much work. But it would all be worth it. These were just the first steps to freedom. She had to keep her eyes on the prize, a shiny motorbike. With that, she could be the best person around. Maybe even start a gang of motorcycle lovers. Or even start a garage. There was a garage on pretty much every street corner back home but here there was nothing. She was going to change all that.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (OOC: It's late so I apologize if this makes no sense if you read it. x.x Totally half asleep but if needed I'll fix it when I'm more awake if you have trouble replying to it.)
"It's so pretty!" Rika exclaimed excitedly. She'd been getting a little better at finding her way around Astrea grounds on her own without having to trouble someone to help her. She didn't wish to be a burden so she did her best to read the campus map correctly without getting herself lost again. She'd certainly founds a lot of spots on the school grounds and she'd felt better knowing that it was alright for her to visit the other school campuses as well. So that made exploring easier for her knowing that she wouldn't get into trouble being somewhere she wasn't supposed to be. It did surprise the hazel eyed girl that she could go to the other two schools and look around. She had been curious about them since she'd first got here. Lulim's campus was really nice. Not that Miator's wasn't nice but the school's concept was just a little bit weird to her so she chose not to pay much attention to it, even if she did have female classmates asking her a lot of personal questions she didn't feel comfortable answering.
Today as part of her exploration, she'd decided to visit the orchid of Cherry Blossom Hill and it hadn't taken long for a gust of wind to blow a large number of pink petals throughout the area. She found it to be quite a pretty sight. It also appeared to be quiet which meant that she could come here at any point of the day whenever she wanted to and relax away from the crowds and all the noise. The cherry trees also looked nice too but she hadn't wanted to mess with them. There might have been a rule about doing so and as a precaution she didn't touch them. Just simply admired them. Her brother Riko would define this as a "cool hiding spot" if he were to see it. Rika just knew he would. She could hear him now going on and on about how cool this spot would be for a secret club or meeting. It's too bad that this was an all girls campus area, otherwise that wouldn't be such a bad idea at all. One could make this a secret hiding spot of some sort and no one would have to know about it.
That did sound a little fun. With her arms placed behind her back, she continued walking until the visual of a small rundown shack came into view. Tilting her head to the side, Rika assumed that this might've been a storage shack of some sort and her curiosity got the best of her and she proceeded further just to get a closer look at it. From what she could tell, it didn't appear to have locks of any kind on it, so it was possible that some students might be using it. But for what she wondered. The closer she got, she was able to see the sign that was hanging from the door of the little shack and she carefully began to read it. "Club de Mas-Maquinista? Uhh ... hmm ... So someone has made themselves a club out here. The sign ... appears to be in a foreign language though? French? Iie ... Spanish maybe?" She blinked a few times, trying to guess the language in which the last part of the club's sign had been written in. It was obviously not Japanese so it was pretty clear that this was a club made by someone who wasn't from Japan. The language appeared familiar but she couldn't be sure without first checking.
So she took a chance and lightly knocked on the door before entering the little shack, just to be considerate instead of just barging in without at least announcing herself first. Rika didn't want to be rude. When opening the door, the inside looked just as rundown as the outside. It wasn't surprising but she'd almost half expected the outside to be a cover of some sort. But it was the same. With some fixing and a little paint, it had potential from Rika's point of view but that depended upon the one who ran the club that was present here currently. Speaking of club members, all Rika saw was one. A young pale skinned girl with long black hair styled in two long pigtails and she wore the Spica uniform so it was obvious that she wasn't a student at Miator. Rika felt as if she'd been intruding and she leaned forward and bowed respectfully toward her. "G-Gomen nasai. I got curious and saw this little shack here. I didn't think anyone was actually inside of it, let alone there being a club. I apologize if I am interrupting you," she apologized to the girl, just to be on the safe side. She wasn't out to make any enemies with others, just friends if possible.
Lore looked up. She was startled out of her thoughts and fantasies by the sudden noise. Was that somebody knocking on the door of the shack? Why would anyone be knocking on the shack door? Only the teacher sponsor had a reason to visit the shack and she wouldn't knock. Lore was just starting to react when the door opened and another girl walked in. She stared at the intruder who immediately started talking and apologizing. "What is it you are speaking?" Lore asked. Her Japanese was far better now but she still wasn't perfect with tenses. She was good enough get by as far she was concerned. But her method of speaking was very casual, almost street like at times since she had learned most things conversationally. If that wasn't instantly proof she was a foreigner, her accent was.
"I wrote a sign on the door. It says club in the name." Lore pushed herself on to her feet. "But you are not interrupting me. I am finished work today. First club meeting is for first cleaning." She gestured at the open room, uncluttered by its former debris. "Next meeting is for building, like real maquinista. Maybe new walls, fix holes. But the club is done today." She just watched the girl with an intense stare. She didn't want to be intimidating, but her habit of staring at people when she spoke to people, her nearly undivided attention, could be unnerving. "What are you wanting?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika blinked a few times as the girl in the shack spoke to her ... in such broken Japanese. She almost didn't understand her but she listened to her more clearly and understood what she was trying to say ... but the tone of her voice along with the accent (forgive me if that is wrong x.x) made it clear that the raven haired girl wasn't from Japan. However, her uniform said very much that she was a student from one of the other two schools, Spica to be exact. The hazel eyed teen didn't expect to meet a Spica student, especially here in such a weird little area. The hill itself wasn't weird but the rundown shack placed here was. Admittedly, Rika was a little intimidated because of how the girl spoke to her but she tried her best not to show it. She wasn't upset but she also believed she might've upset her for being here. Her gaze shifted to the side as she'd begun to lightly use her hand to rub her other arm lightly. "Gomen, I wasn't aware there was a club up on this hill. It didn't say anything on the campus map about a shack atop the hill, demo ... I am glad that I'm not interrupting you," she said softly, her eyes shifting back in the girl's direction as her lips formed into a small smile. "I don't want anything I was just looking around trying to get more familiar with the campus. I'm new here so I haven't been around long enough to know where everything is," she explained. Which wasn't a lie as it seemed like everyday the girl found different things and places on campus she didn't know about and if they seemed like a nice spot to relax by herself when she needed a break away from the campus noise, she'd go back but made sure to mark it on the map and remembered how to get there so she wouldn't get lost like last time. "If you don't mind me asking, what's this club about?"

Lorelei shrugged her shoulders and leaned up against the shack wall. "It is a new club, we are taken this shack for activities now. Today is first day so maps do not have us yet." Lore stared at the green haired girl. She had said she was new to the school and it was certainly a difficult place to be if you were new, Lore knew that first hand, the girl seemed like a first year, she was certainly small enough. Everyone in this country seemed so small, at least this school had a variety of girls of different sizes so she didn't feel too obvious. She probably couldn't read Spanish either, but if there's a shack with a sign that you can't read, you ought to go ask somebody what it was about in Lorelei's opinion. Barging on in was a bad habit. But maybe it was different in this country, people tended to always be walking in on her privacy. That was one of the reasons that she'd started sticking a chair under her dorm door handle as well as locking it.
"The shack was for keeping garden tools maybe a hundreds of years ago or something. They don't use it any more so they don't need to talk about it on maps either. But now it is my club. It is Club de Maquinista." She thought for a moment. This was one of those times that her less than thorough grasp of the language annoyed her. She had no idea what the japanese word was. "It is like...a club...for..." She pursed her lips and stared up at the ceiling. "When a car is broken and you take it to place. And you need a new part for the car. But also if you need a machine fixed or like spinning things in clocks. A club for making things from metal and building things out of metal." She nodded to herself. "Maquinista, metal thing maker and fixing club." Lore said, reducing the words and trying to make it a bit more forward and blatant, like the name of any other club. It still didn't quite work but it was descriptive at the very least.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (OOC: I apologize for the inactivity on my part. Been tired and busy between work, my cat being sick and ... well mostly work. x.x I hate work. It needs to die. But I'm replying while my brain can think of something. ^^;)
"O-Oh, I see. So that's why it wasn't on the map." That made sense. If it was a club that'd just recently been created then of course it wasn't going to be well known immediately. But Rika just assumed it to be an ordinary shack used for something by the school. Which it was but apparently now it was being taken over by a club now. This raven haired girl's club as she'd stated it to be. Having explained what type of club it was, the hazel eyed teen got a general idea of what it was about now despite the language being different from Japanese. "Ah, so it's an auto club. Alright, now I see it. I wasn't sure because I didn't want to assume based on the club name. I was guessing the language between French and Spanish but I might be a little bit far off the mark on that," she laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head lightly. Gazing around the shack, while it had needed a lot of repairs, once the club had some members, Rika was sure it would start to look like a more welcoming place. As it was now, it was a tad scary looking but the lack of care wasn't this girl's fault but that did mean she was going to have to create a heavy budget for it just to renovate and fix everything. "I'm only part of one club at Miator. The student council but an auto club could be another learning experience for me. If you don't mind a mMiator student being a part of it that is," she said with a smile. She didn't mind helping and learning different things. She didn't know anything about machinery or cars admittedly but she was willing to learn. Getting down and dirty wasn't a problem since having a twin brother meant she was used to it and when it came to mechanical parts, there was a lot of mess involved.
(OOC: I never even saw you replied, if I ever take more than a couple days to reply, message me in chat or PM the Gilda account.)
Lore nodded sagely. "Soon we will be on the maps and then people will know that this place is for a work club." The girl was catching on quickly enough, they were finally speaking the same language, sort of...maybe. "Yes, it is for auto. Also for motorcycles and bigger machines. I make metal lots of things." Lore shrugged, "I don't say japanese well, so easier to speak spanish. I don't know french." Lore thought for a few moments. Maybe the sign should be changed. She'd worked hard to write it perfectly, with precision. But maybe people should be able to read it. If they could, they wouldn't barge in just to ask what the words meant. Barging in was very rude and would interrupt her privacy, also it would cause trouble if she was working. Proper safety measures had to be taken. Lore would have to make safety signs. locking herself inside was probably another safety hazard. Barring the door shut doubly so. They would have to say things like earplugs required and safety goggles required. That was, of course, if she managed to get any tools which had not become any more likely in the last two minutes.
"You are Miator student?" Lore asked. "Miator does house cleaning and making flower pots." She didn't dislike Miator, but she didn't really understand their place at all. Lore simply couldn't understand why anybody would find the more traditional role engaging, or even fun. Useful maybe, but who needed to know how to put flowers together? Being able to repair an engine was far more important. Well, maybe she could teach the Miator girl some useful skills and she needed more members to get a budget anyway. "I guess at you can join. If you want to. I don't have papers for new members now but I will get one for you later."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (OOC: It's cool. I've been MIA lately anyway so it's been off and on I frequent the site to check for replies myself. Believe me, I'm not impatient even if one forgets lol.)
"Well, at least I was a little close in guessing the language. Both are rather unique languages and it's nice to be universal in being able to understand each other," Rika said, smiling while nodding her head. Learning a new language wasn't easy for anyone but with time and practice, one could catch on quickly. At least she guessed that this was an auto club so she wasn't entirely clueless as to what type of club the girl was making. However, what threw her off was the girl's question and her response after that. It'd made her blink a few times as she wasn't expecting her to say what she had which confused her a little bit. She wasn't sure what to assume other than maybe the girl didn't like Miator. Granted their traditions were a bit odd and something Rika wasn't accustomed to but she was here to experience social interaction and education outside of home and nothing more or less. So she placed her arms behind her back and nodded her head. "Hai, I'm a student at Miator but I don't do house cleaning or make flower pots of the sort. I ... really don't do much since I've not been here long. I'm not sure what you meant by what you said so I won't question it," she said with a smile. If that was the girl's opinion of the school that Rika went to then she wasn't going to pressure her into changing it. Besides, Rika thought all three schools looked nice and she really didn't have a particular preference in where she went so long as she could go to school. At least the other girl was willing to let her be part of her club which made Rika smile more and clasp her hands together. "Ah! Arigatou gozaimasu! Oh, ah you might not have understood that. I don't know much Spanish except a few words here and there so I guess what I'm trying to say is, gracias! I think I said that right."

Lore nodded. "Yes, speaking is important." She'd had plenty of trouble when she first came to the school but at least now she had some semblance of how conversations ought to go. She would never pass for a local, or even a native, but Lore never wanted to do that anyway. She was her own woman, she was destined to stand out. Nobody was going to mess with her without regrets. Not when she had her bike. Then she would be free to be the badass she always knew she'd be. Even if it had to be adapted for this country. She'd seen a news article talking about other girls who wouldn't accept the system. They knew what it meant to be free on a bike. That's where she and Brutus belonged.
Lore's mouth turned into a grim line. "Well what do you do? Miator has the younger students being maids. How did you get away or skip the job?" Lore folded her arms. "This is why Miator is bride school, they teach that stuff and cooking and flowers and tea. They don't teach mechanics and cars and metal. Did nobody tell you about schools? Miator is brides, Spica is for people who want to be the best at working, Le Rim is for everyone else." She nodded to herself. As far as she was concerned, that was an accurate assessment of the other schools. After all, she wanted to be the best motorcycle builder and boss that the world ever knew. Spica meant ambition.
"You said it ok." Lore responded with a little shrug. "I speak Japanese. Just not as good as people who live here longer. I have been here a few years after all." She was a bit annoyed at being treated like she didn't even understand the basics of the language. She'd worked hard to learn it even if it was nowhere near perfect and still laced with her spanish accent.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika nodded in agreement to that. Speaking was important no matter where one went. It was obvious the girl understood Japanese and was learning it despite her own background. At least she was learning, that was good. Rika couldn't say she herself was the best at learning new languages but it was always fun to give it a try every now and then when an opportunity presented itself. Her mind then became focused on the other girl's next question to which case the hazel eyed girl simply shrugged her shoulders in response before replying. "I couldn't care less about stuff like that. I'm merely attending the school with the sole purpose of wanting to experience education outside of being home schooled as I have been. There's a lot of things I can't really do for certain reasons but as you put it, I didn't skip on any job. It's just never been presented to me. If it was, I am not sure if I'd take it. I have nothing against the purposes of all three school's Astrea has to offer but I'm probably one of few girls who's minds aren't on marriage, flowers, cooking and tea. Anyone can cook and make tea. You don't need a school to teach you how to do that," said Rika with a small laugh. And she meant it to. Unlike the most obvious reasons girls came to Miator, she wasn't looking to be presented or molded into some sort of bride.
Admittedly she found the idea to be rather strange indeed but it wasn't something she focused her mind on everyday and she didn't put the school down for it. If it is what they did, then it's what they did. She didn't have to take part of it if she didn't want to. If anything, she was just happy at the idea of being able to make friends as she wasn't focused so much on the "love aspect" of things. Besides, she was too young for that and she wasn't really thinking about it either. She smiled at Lorelei, and said, "I'm glad that I said it okay. Also, your Japanese is really good. I can tell that you studied very hard to learn it. So don't put yourself down so much because I can tell that you have a passion to prove that you're great." She giggled, then realized that she hadn't introduced herself to the girl. All this time they'd been speaking and not once had she told her, her name. For that, she sheepishly rubbed the back of her head lightly in embarrassment. "Gomen ne, I forgot to introduce myself to you. Atashi wa Nakahara Rika desu."
Lore shifted herself over to the more central area of the club house. She would have to get chairs and a table in the future. If you added that to the cost off tools and equipment and raw materials then this club was going to be a pricy little start up. Of course they said you had to put money into something before you got money out of it. Lore didn't know who they was ere but but they probably knew more than she did about success. She also wasn't sure if clubs made any money. That was another thing she would have to look into. She had plans for some proper high quality projects and if the club could fund itself then that would be amazing. "Well that's what they tell me about the schools. Marriage, clubs, sports. Three schools with three interests. Kind of boring but I don't know." Lore didn't say anything about the making tea comment. She'd tried making tea several times but if it didn't come in a power it always seemed awful.
"Thank you for the compliment. It is still not perfect but I am working hard to improve." Lore left the passion for proof comment go too. She wasn't all that interested in being good at anything like speaking Japanese. You didn't need it to build a motorcycle and be the coolest person ever. Freedom meant you didn't have to worry and Lore knew she was born to be wild and free on the open road. "I am Lorelei Velsaquez. I am from South America." Names were important, you had to have names for a club list and the more names on the lit the more support the school gave you. She was well out of practice of meeting people if she'd forgotten introductions as well. Still, sLore hadn't asked for a social role. Her and Brutus had been doing fine alone together
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I'm sure there are many girls who agree with you. I'm just one that's indifferent to what the three schools represent. I mean, it's not as if I am attending the school I'm at for that reason so it's not a big deal to me but if it is to others who seem to like the idea then I cannot judge them or put them down for it." Everyone had various interests in things and if the idea of being showered with affection by the same sex suits the girls of Astrea Hill then that's nothing Rika could do about that. Like she said earlier, she was indifferent and would also be indifferent to that as well. Besides, given how old she was right now, it'd be creepy if anyone became interested in her. Student, male or female. It'd just come across as too weird for her.
The girl before her didn't seem all that interested in such things either so at least any future conversation wouldn't always involved any romantic personal interests. She stood up straight, Rika nodded her head to the raven haired girl as she accepted her compliment of how well she spoke Japanese. "You're very welcome and it's a pleasure to meet you, Lorelei-san," she said. "South America sounds nice. Is it very pretty where you're from?" she queried. Wanting to know about other countries seemed like such fun so the hazel eyed teen couldn't help but to be a little curious about Lorelei's original home.

Lore shrugged. The schools didn't really make sense. Three schools sharing a single place was weird so she might as well just let it all go. In the end, Lore didn't need to know why somebody would join the club, what mattered was that she could get their name on a sheet and receive school funding. That ws more important than any weird school opinions or rivalries. And perhaps casual members were even better than people with their own projects. Many projects going at once often meant that everyone was fighting for resources. This way, even if they were working individually, it was not going to be a race or fight to get what was needed when it was needed.
"It wasn't that nice." Lore thought about where she grew up. It was just another place, but now that she'd seen more of the world, it was actually kind of pathetic. "It was like..." she tried to think of a word. "Trash place, with trash people and old dead buildings. All things were falling down." She shrugged again, it was becoming her standard expression of thought. "It was not very good but I lived there for a long time. It is normal."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE IN THIS WORLD? FOR A GIRL? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rika frowned, feeling bad for having asked about Lorelei's home. She was sure the girl didn't want sadness or pity being given just because of where she originally came from but all the same, the hazel eyed teen couldn't help but feel the way she did. Everyone's lives were different growing up and they came here to find themselves a place in this world or something more. Whichever. The last thing she wanted to do was patronize the girl so she didn't ask any further questions about it. Instead, she simply nodded to her response but her frown was ever apparent. Rika couldn't compare her life to Lorelei's as it would be insulting to anyone in the other girl's position to try. The only thing she'd ever had to deal with was being constantly sick not sick and living in a poverty driven environment. It was more than likely something that couldn't have been helped but the other girl lived through it despite that. "Gomen. I'm not sure what else to say or rather ... I don't want to say anything that would make you upset," Rika admitted to her.
"I'm not upset." Lore replied a little too quickly. "I liked it there. I could do things there but not here. I had friends and people knew me a lot." She looked around the shed. "This is a lot like home. Working hard makes things good but right now it is empty and needs work. Home it was easy for me. Here I have to get people but here they don't care. They have friends and language. They do not give any interest." She had been a big deal at home. Admittedly it was because her father was a big deal but here she was just a face in the crowd, possibly even less than that because she had no connections or ties to the world of Astrea. Even if you looked at Kari, an older sister she hadn't known about until a year before Kari sent her to learn here.
