Jessie could not for the life of her read the girl as of now, was she truly upset at the laughter she seemed not to be as far as spoken words. Yet she did seem rather..confused Alice confused was an odd sight. It wasn't shown per say but something was off.
Standing she noticed that the idea of friend ship was unnerving to the other. Had she not been seen as a friend before ? Or did Alice not see them as that?
Now calm Jessie decided to leave those questions for another time. She held her hand out for the icy spirit. " Come now, I do not bite, neither do my words."
Would this sentence ease the girls mind or passably make things worse. She decided to add to her commit for better of for worse. " After all having a friend causes no harm even a few spiders work with others."
She disliked thinking of Alice of a spider yet it seemed the preferred name for the girl sitting. She lead her eyes to the area she had found perfect for a dance it was a stoned floor area benches outlined the area. Roses crossed the squared place leaving a circle in the middle, like a web,how ironic

Frozen blue orbs slid up to glance at the hand that was suddenly offered to her. Through the haze of her mind's processing of the whole previous ordeal, she listened to the girl. When the portion about the spiders was projected into the rose-scented atmosphere, the snowy white widow managed to shrug off her focus on her thoughts, surprised by the other's statement. Even if she desired to protest against it, Jessie was factually correct. Some spiders did work together. Even the malicious, poisonous black widow and its albino counterpart sought companionable aid at times. Now that she really thought of it, she was sure she had witnessed two spiders in the same web in years prior too.
Shaking off any source of surprise that might have invaded her icy blue eyes, Alice slipped her frigid palm into the other's soft open hand. Thick layers of frills rustled noiselessly at her legs as she rose gracefully to her feet. Her gaze wandered to the area they were to dance in. Guarded by benches and floored with sturdy stone. All adorned by a layer of roses emulating a web. An ironic spider's web. A perfect area.
"A perfect area." She finally commented, relieved at having found her voice in her mild blight of previous confusion. It was incredibly rare to surprise, let alone stun the albino spider like that consecutively. Though yet again, Jessie was quite full of surprises. The snowy spider next shifted her piercing gaze back to her partner, only for a second, however, as to signal that she was ready to begin practice if she was. It was a bit of a brief hidden test, too, to see if the girl could truly read her.

The dazed angel had seemly come back to life. Alice also found the webbed maze of roses perfect for their dancing spot,or maybe she liked the fact of its ironic look. Both perhaps. She waited for a moment for the other to take her hand, once more warm and cold mixed.
From the corner of her eye,she noticed a gaze, giving her once again an amused smile. She new that Alice gave only slight movements and emotions, but this was amusing.
Maybe she was trying to get her back by testing her, or teasing she better thought. In return she gripped the young girls hand, hoping she would not fail. She led them to the area and became ready. A playful strike trickled up her spine and she was going to test back, and so the game began again.
She pulled Alice gently to the point they were closer then before,to a point of which the hot and cold feel became even more twisted. What would happen to the little spider now?

Alice twitched a little when her hand was grasped, again due to the newness of mutual physical contact. She followed the boyish girl to the squared area with elegant strides, already adjusting herself so that she was light on her feet. As Jessie readied herself, the snowy white spider prepared to do the same. Though before she had much a chance to do much more, she was pulled playfully forward.
White lashes fell slightly over amused blue orbs. The game was on it seemed. The warmth and ice conflicting in a twisted haze only augmented it so. Propelled on by its presence, the snowy widow assumed her appropriate waltz stance, gliding a cold hand up to rest on her partner's should while the other open palm pressed gently against the other's with a newfound playfulness. She'd gladly participate in this little game. And in her natural element; albeit a rosen web; what had she to loose?
Flicking her gaze up to the boyish girl, she waited her first move, frozen gaze thawed slightly by the warmth of genuine mirth. Snowy strands of hair haloed around her head like roused serpents. Perhaps she'd utilize one of her preferred tricks later on? That is, if the girl could keep up.

There's the angel,so I must be the demon today, was Jessie thought as she started to dance her hand that held to the girls waist lightly slid to the middle more so to better lead. She had to keep the appearance of the demon in this game, she wanted to see the snowy spirits true dance. She knew there had to be more, and to be a beneficial partner she needed to see all of what Alice could do.
Each step was memorized, almost robotic as far as dance went. No stage to fall off of, though in heals the dance still came natural.Yet something seemed to be missing, was it connection? Maybe spirit? Her own hidden from past pain, just now creeping out, and her shorter partner in how she hidden her self under a layer of ice. Something was missing.
Jessie gazed at the other she was playing the game and Jessie new she was far better at it. Her eyes flickered to a few of the roses near by there vines swirled together, an idea presented its self. Her leading left the girls waist and her other hand trickled to the icy finger tips of her partners. " spin, and show me a dance of your own, then spin back,I'll catch you "
She had to fight back a blush of her own, that was quite a brave line to be let out.

The snowy white spider flowed in sync with her partner, the heavy frills of her dress bouncing with elegance at her knees below. With rather safer "stage" this time around, she was sure there would be few mistakes, though she remained on guard for them should any arise. Predict and prepare. The method of a seasoned dancer. Or at least that were the rules she had been taught. Though, if one knew Alice, she wasn't always the type to follow the rules.
When her partner's hand left her waist, her frozen blue gaze drifted to her partner's face as if in silent inquisition. What the boyish girl said next brought the start of the previously dismissed smirk back to Alice's lips. Did she think she was better at the game? The snowy spider figured she'd show her what she could do. Still, what Jessie had said was quite daring, and for that, Alice couldn't help but mentally applaud the once stuttering girl.
Spinning away from her partner in a swirl of white and gray, the spider perched straight up on her toes momentarily like a ballerina, arching her back before letting a heel come softly down on the ground. When it made contact, she swung her other leg behind it and leaned back on it, balancing as if she were on a tightrope - or rather, a thread from a spider's glistening web - whilst raising an arm into the air and turning her head to one side. Then, sunder to the previous elegant slowness, brought it down at an arc to her side with a slight, sudden increase of momentum, twisting sharply on her heel with a leg at a ballerina's 45 degree angle in a snow flurry of lace to spin back to her waiting partner. The elegant action sent a blizzard of colorful petals up with it. It wasn't the most grand thing she could do, but she hadn't gone full out. Not yet at least. That frozen guard of hers still prevented her from doing so.
Icy blue orbs peered up at the boyish girl through white lashes in genuine enjoyment. This was certainly interesting.

Blue , purple and pink twisted eyes watched as a white swirl of elegance rose from her suggestion. She could help but lick her lips, after all keeping up her brave status was already taking a toll. She was seeing magic. Jessie had never seen such a grand sight, it reminded her of her mothers dancing, yet something was different. A cool breeze danced up her spine.
She blinked noticing it was time to be a partner once again, she carefully with a feathered step closed in catching hold of the girl as promised yet now held the girl from behind hands stretched the others out , In a show she held her head between the neck and shoulder of her icy dancer.
This was an intimate move but she had watched it over and over again as her mother danced on stage with her partners. Even though the memory was seen by young eyes the intimate stance was strong one and an audience would be on the edges of there seats.
She whispered a question in before she was to twist there bodies back to the standard ball room form. " who shall you have as a partner when the time comes?"
She hoped it would not ruin the moment, though on the high she felt right at the moment she knew, she hoped if it left she could get it back.
Once back to how they were when this began she kept the flow going . Keeping her gaze on her partners.

Jessie had kept her word and caught her as she spun back. However, Alice found her partner close behind, holding her arms far out to the sides, her head lowered to rest in the space between her neck and shoulder. The snowy white spider was certain she had seen this pose before. It was an intimate one, but nonetheless a crowd pleaser. Though her aversion of physical contact shouted at her to pull away, she managed to keep herself stationary in the daring pose. White eyelashes fell like a heavy curtain over conflicted blue orbs for a more or less blissful moment. Now that she really focused on it, the boyish girl was actually pretty warm in comparison to her own naturally chilled temperature.
Then a question was whispered and the pose dissolved into natural ballroom stances. Alice had no hesitation in melting back into the flow of the synchronized dance. Though this seemed to be the opposite in her response to the question.
"I have not the slightest clue." She admitted quietly. "I was not provided any information, yet I believe it will be someone my family has hand-picked -- a stranger most likely."
She disliked thinking about that. Not being in control of that moment. In truth, it frightened her a little deep down, but of course, being the frozen arachnid she was, she wouldn't let her fear of that inevitable unknown slip out for another's ears to hear. It was her struggle and hers alone. A solitary spider's own conflict.

" You do not wish to do the dance with a stranger do you ?"
She danced across the make shift stage they did simple movements as before. Jessie kept a close eye on the mood of her partner, the one thing she had forgotten about dance is that the feeling and reading of your partner was made easier.
" what if you find someone that you can not dance with out, before your deadline?"
She couldn't help but be come curious. She hadn't meant to be yet she had already warned the snowy haired girl before her. Jessie had become ready to walk though the growing feet of snow. ' if you are to find a partner, you must intrust with them your soul.'
Her mothers words rang in her head like an echo in a cave. Her young mind still did not fully understand but she suddenly realized what was missing, true trust.
A slight sigh came to her lips ,though she looked at the snowy spider happily dancing across her web. Spiders where not known to be the talkative type, they were protective and quicker there pace to get away ,got frustrated when there webs were destroyed.
If Jessie was to get trust from Alice shed need to tread through the snow carefully , after all there maybe a string of web underneath.

Frozen blue orbs narrowed at the edges at the content of the question. She didn't want to dance with whoever that stranger would be. Sure, she had danced with numerous partners before at her family's balls and formal parties, but it was not like any of them mattered. This one, whoever this person turned out to be, she didn't feel too accepting about. Knowing her family, something would defiantly be behind it. A larger motive. Surely, they'd let no random stranger dance with their daughter at that defining moment after her graduation.
Still in step with her partner, though almost unconsciously now, she failed to respond to the question entirely. It could easily be picked up through her slightly outward body language with a discerning eye.
"What if you find someone that you cannot dance without before your deadline?"
Now that was a question. One that caught the snowy spider off guard. It caused her to even stumble a bit, but she quickly switched out of autopilot and recovered with haste. She'd never considered the thought fully before. It was almost ludicrous to her for for someone to do that, they'd need to melt the layer of ice around her frozen heart first. Then invade her web altogether. Move a skillfully pawn up the board and claim checkmate. Granted, she had her next four years at Astrea, but it was nearly impossible for anyone to get that close. A spider wouldn't dare hesitate to bare its fangs if it felt threatened or cornered either.
"The deadline rests at the end of my time here at Astrea - exactly in four years." She finally responded. "If that were to happen--" She paused and shook her head, almost seeming a little angry. "Then I suppose that I cannot dance with that stranger."
The snowy widow thought for a moment then added, "It all depends on how much venom one person can take."
Another spider analogy, though this one addressing the difficulty it was to get close to her. Spiders would bite -- could bite. There was no way around it. Even the most compassionate hand was in danger of venomous fangs.
She had regained her composure for now, or at least, what was left of it, and once again established her previously cracked frozen guard and web. Just like their willingness to bite, if a spider felt a vibration in their web, no matter how slight, all hope of getting close was destroyed.

A stumble , she had caused one for her partner, this wasn't going as planned. Jessie could no longer be the demon. " I am sorry to have upset you."
She noted how the dance became more firey, stiff at moments.Jessie held to the dance but it didn't seem the same, and she didn't like it. The feeling she felt now was tarnishing what she loved about it she stopped of course she hadn't thought of the act until her feet slipped out of her heals. Causing her to stumble into Alice. " Sorry, I can't continue at this moment, mind if I take a drink brake."
It was true her throat was dry and her words where stuck with in her chest it hurt. She hadn't meant to hurt,or anger it seemed. She stood up from her unbalanced stance from falling out of her heals. This also was a way to give Alice a moment, that is if it was needed.
She just hopped her sudden stop didn't anger the other more. She new she wanted to speak more rather then ramble more apology's." it isn't the venom that will be difficult to deal with ... Its falling from the web."

The dance seemed to be falling apart. Not all at once, but gradually over time. If one partner fell out of sync, whether physically or emotionally, there was barely any hope in endeavoring to correct it. Especially when it was too far to be salvaged. An apology was projected - or at least Alice guessed, she wasn't really listening - and she acknowledged it with a soft sound.
Was she upset? She felt angry yet nothing at all, yet the source of her anger - the prominent target - was unclear even to her. Her partner suddenly stopped and stumbled into her after her feet slipped from her heels. The snowy spider reached out to steady her slightly, frosted blue eyes blazing beneath the veil of white lashes. Jessie stated that she couldn't continue and inquired permission to take a break.
"You may." She answered quietly, fixing a lock of colorless hair.
Jessie's body language had taken a significant turn. Alice's too for that matter. The boyish girl seemed genuinely apologetic. Hurt, even. Did she perhaps think she had upset Alice? Most likely, but Alice had no true source of her flare of anger at the moment. It was just like a random ignited candle amongst a sea of poised, unlit matches just inches from the flame. Whether or not these matches became lot were entirely up to chance, but Alice was keeping an eye on her slight bout of unspecified anger. To flare up at such a place and situation. To bite at a hand that did nothing at all. What good could possibly come out of that?
Next the girl corrected the object of difficulty. Falling from the web. Yes, once you fell - plummeted from the silvery threads of spider's silk - there was almost no chance of getting back up. Alice's web was of no difference nor at all any easier.

The water trickled down her throat as she thought. Dancing was to be magical, weather it be one of sorrow or happiness. She sighed reaching up her hands glided through her hair. She took a breath, she needed to speak to Alice.
Setting her water bottle she finally spoke. " Even if a web shifts, you still need a safe haven to fix it,when a pray has landed it will need to be fixed again, if rain its , fixed again. It will be like a never ending game, a time loop. You will always hide away. Yet if you find your self a safe haven, a person or activity, it will help you stay strong.."
She new she was rambling at this point but she needed to say what was on her mind " So-"
Standing up she took Alices hand as if ready to practice the dance once more. " So as your partner trust in me not to brake your web,I don't care if you Posen me later."
She took a moment to look down, shoeless. "After all I saw you brake your ice slightly , anger is an emotion after all. And right now I trust you won't step on my feet."
Her soft smile was back for now, after realizing what she just concluded.

The snowy spider stood in her place, contemplating her anger. Even her hair seemed to flare with a newfound lividness in the breeze. It was foolish to get angry at random times. That she knew. Yet, of course, that was how certain spiders protected themselves. Flaring up at a time uncalled for to bare their fangs in preparation to bite. She hadn't bore her fangs yet towards the boyish girl. If she had, it would have made her out as a fool even more. And if there was one thing the spider disliked it was being labeled as a fool especially by her own self.
When Jessie began speaking, she tilted her head slightly in her direction to listen better. That's right. A safe haven was key for spiders. Their webs broke all the time, yet there were very few incidents were they didn't climb back up after a fall and rebuild it over the skeleton of their previous broken one. Sure, it was a frustrating task, but to a spider it was instinct. Instinct to survive, and without that web, what chance have they for survival? Alice's web was weak. What used to be a strong, fortified web adorned with pearls of venom and strength crumbled into just the line threads of its foundations when she relocated to Astrea. She was still in the process of rebuilding a strong new one. Jessie hadn't broken her web yet, but she had struck a thread somewhere among its length. It had been only a minor vibration; one that hadn't quite yet chased the spider away. As much as she didn't want to admit, she did need to provide her with some trust that she wouldn't break it. All that need be was to trod lightly and quietly.
Her hand was taken once more. Frosted blue orbs remained trained on the rose petals littering the ground. Could she trust her not to break the web? Alice hadn't really instilled her trust in anyone before really. There had been no need too. Just drifting around causing mischief and leading unaware girls on as prey in her web before she tangled them up in the sticky threads and let them fall like heartbroken dolls. There had been no need to trust anyone of them. Yet in this situation, it was entirely different. And the boyish girl had noticed her momentarily allow her ice to thaw, too. How would she work herself out of this?
Allowing her fingers to tighten around Jessie's hand, she let a puff of air in the form of a pent-up sigh - the last of her anger - slip from her lips. There was no use remaining angry. No drive. "Then tread lightly, miss McKnight, and you may not fall." She said finally.
It could have been taking as a bit of a warning, but it was meant to aid the girl in her waltz across the fragile web.

Watching each movement she looked as though she was stinging new thread across her web now, her face only slightly showed it. Jessie could only tell it seemed she was deciding on a few things, possibly about what Jessie had said, and yet possibly that this partner ship wouldn't work out.Jessie still held to the girl, which at this time did not connect eyes with her.
Then it happened,Jessies soft hold to the girls hand was tightened to,as cool fingers wrapped there self's around her pam. Then she heard the others words. Tread lightly, what what stuck, for most people it would be a threat, some a warning. Yet Jessie was having a hard time reading into Alice at the moment, but for now it seemed, that more or less she had the others trust. Well at least a string of web had wrapped around her hand and kept her from falling.
She had yet to take Alice's waist and rose that free hand to Alice'chin ever so softly , with even a little hesitation she glided a finger onto the frosted skin and led the mysterious face to look at hers. She held back a blush but she let go before her hand began to tremble, from her nerves. Besides she had gotten what she needed her partners face. " N-never look away from your partner, they guide you,a-at least that is what my mother said...."
