People like us we've gotta stick together Keep your head up, nothing lasts foreverKagami smiled shyly as Shun stood and bowed. She looked up at Maiko, glowing with pride and love. "Yes, Shun- San." She blushed lightly as she gazed lovingly at her taller darling. "Yes there is." She slowly eased her way back into her chair, never letting go of Maikos hand. The difference between the Kagami that had left the table and the Kagami that had returned was astonishing; she was radiating happiness and anyone who cared to look at her would know. The normally shy, petite girl sat up taller, more confidently. Maikos love for her was bringing her up to her prime, truly making her the best she could be. She turned her modest smile to Shun again. "Wh-what were you playing, Shun- San?" Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom Notes-I truly apologize for the suckiness of my writing today

A soft smile tugged at the little lamb's lips as her prince suggested that they stay where they were. "You're right, Yuudai-kun. It's probably best we stay out here anyway." She nodded in agreement, relieved that they wouldn't be causing any more trouble for the kind, white haired underclassman. She giggled softly as Yuudai bowed majestically before her. Playing along, Emiko gave the prince a curtsy, blushing a bit at the gentle kiss she bestowed upon her hand. The two were ready for a royal dance...but a problem arose. There was no music. As if on cue, a gentle voice filled the air with the lyrics to one of her favorite songs. Her blush grew deeper still. Yuudai...was singing to her. The pure joy in her smile was unmistakable. This was the first time she'd ever heard the tawny sing, and her beautiful melodic tones made Emiko's heart flutter with happiness. The moment reminded her of the day they had met, when Yuudai had caught Emiko singing on the bridge. Smiling fondly at the memory, she followed the prince's lead, twirling and dancing to her heart's content. Suddenly, nothing in the world mattered. It didn't matter that they were no longer at the ball. It didn't matter that tears had been shed. The previous events of the night seemed like a distant memory. The only thing that mattered now was this moment, and their love. Countless thoughts swirled around within the depths of her mind. 'Everything is finally falling into place... I'm in love... I'm engaged... And I know that for the rest of my life, I'm going to have my darling prince by my side... Daddy was right... If he were here now...' Her teary brown orbs glanced up into the stars, a sad smile momentarily replacing the bright one. '...He would be so happy...' Note: Sorry for the bad writing on this one... I'm ridiculously tired right now, but I really wanted to get a post up... ^^;

"Isn't it amazing what a difference a dance can make?" Shun mused as she observed the new Kagami. Her demeanor had changed, almost immediately. She was actually quite impressed. As Maiko made an apology for their tardiness, Shun waved off such concerns with a simple wave of her hand. It wasn't a terrible inconvenience to her, anyways.
"I can hardly blame either of you for wanting to take your time." She said, "Completely understandable, my dear Maiko-senpai."
A pink orb (the one not obscured by her dark hair) could be seen glancing back over towards Kagami, "Oh, a quick little game of solitaire." she said, "Always a fun a way to pass the time."
It was nice to see the white haired girl a little more open with other people, than she had been just a few moments earlier. It certainly would make conversing a bit easier. Shun smiled back at the two, pleased her suspicions had been confirmed.
"I am delighted to hear the news!" she said, "We will certainly have to find some appropriate means of celebration!"

Maiko felt like she was floating as she drifted into her seat next to Kagami, still holding hands. All that had transpired had Maiko feeling light and giddy. Like she were an angel flying above the ground, darting with great agility wherever she went. No, it was more like Kagami being the angel and Maiko being transported by her. An angel who'd lost her way. Who'd just needed someone who could show her the way back and understand her. It was touching that Maiko was that someone.
"I doubt it was the dance alone that brought about this change," Maiko remarked to Shun, having a hard time taking her eyes off Kagami, "But it certainly helped us realize something about each other."
Then she smiled at Shun and added, "Perhaps we could help you with a magic trick as dual assistants? Kagami-chan seemed really interested in magic, and I'd be happy to lend a hand again."

"And don't worry, Yuki. I promise you that we'll win the etoile competition this year. But I have to warn you, I get kinda competitive. Normally, I try to be nice to everyone I meet, but anyone who's running for the Etoile competition is my rival. But maybe that makes me a bad person... It doesn't matter though - I won't change the way I think. Especially now that I have someone so precious to me to win it for." The whitenette chuckled softly, a slightly mischievous smirk tugging at her lips. The fact that her darling Acchan was so determined to win made the thought even more thrilling. "Heh... I never expected my sweet little Acchan to be so competitive...I like it." She said, a playful twinkle in her eyes. "And you're definitely not a bad person for feeling that way. A little rivalry is healthy now and then. Besides...it'll just make things all the more fun." She winked, planting a soft kiss on the smaller girl's cheek. A soft blush rose to her porcelain cheeks as the blonde continued her speech. "You mean the world to me, and I want to prove our love to everyone. Not to mention I want to show everyone what a gorgeous girlfriend I have. You're my first girlfriend, my beautiful ice princess. And I hope that I'll only have you for....a long time."With a gentle smile, Yukiko stared lovingly into her princess's lilac eyes. "Acchan... I swear to you, I'll stand by your side for as long as you want me to... You're the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful girl I've ever had the pleasure of meeting...and I will do anything, anything at all, to make you happy."

Tonight was...well, magical, to say the least. Dancing with her precious little butterfly, it really was just the two of them in their own little world, for a little while at least. A prince and princess, the Etoile pair, enjoying their first and most likely last Winter Ball together. In the back of her mind, she was very much glad for the lack of drama tonight as well; no confrontations or scandals or otherwise disrupting events that directly involved them. She got to enjoy a lovely, Winter Wonderland with Chokone, twirling and swaying, staying close and revelling in the atmosphere they'd heavily contributed towards creating.
Still, the night would end eventually, and there was a surprise she had prepared for her beautiful, adoring partner, that needed to be unveiled. As much as Shizuka wished to continue this moment forever, the elder Lulim leaned in to whisper quietly to her little butterfly. "Cho-chan, would you mind terribly if we could step out for a moment? I want to show you something, in private." Her voice was soft, and perhaps even a tad excited; she really was looking forward to surprising Chokone.

A soft smile appeared on Acchan's face. "I'm glad, Yuki." Thinking for a minute, she said "Nee, Yuki? Are we one of those 'love at first sight' couples?" She tilted her head in curiosity. "We should probably hang out again soon," she chirped. "And think of strategies to win us votes. Akemi Araceli is also running for Etoile, and she makes sure everyone knows it." The blonde giggled. "I read her blog, and she has a video posted of her and her partner in the cafeteria screaming about being Etoile."
Her smile turned into a face of determination. "That's why we gotta come up with something awesome, too! We need a campaign slogan or something...The ice princess and the idol! Yup, that's us!"
After talking so much, Acchan became exhausted and rested her head on Yuki's shoulder. "Or, y'know, just love eachother and hope people think we're cute," she mumbled into the ivory haired girl's shoulder. Yawning, she continued "I think you're cute, Yuki-oneesama."
