The prince pulled away from their lips' embrace, gazing at her lover endearingly. The perfect first kiss, the seal of their love, the first bond of their everlasting relationship. Her ruby orbs were met with Emiko's ginger moons, their cheeks colored rose. The noises of the night rushed back to her, the next song began to play, the girls continue to chatter happily amongst each other. A thin smile spread across her handsome expression; Yuudai couldn't be happier with the turnout, everything was going so perfectly for her darling princess. But she noticed Emiko's attention falter, looking over near the entrance of the room. She could hear the cries of her peers calling after a white haired figure who had ran off. The once romantic atmosphere rapidly declined to despair, attention rested on the auditorium's entrance. A worried hush fell over the spectating girls as the night continued on, the once majestic and romantic atmosphere steadily shifting into melancholy.
Yuudai's crimson orbs grew dull, a troubling expression spread over her strong demeanor. She felt Emiko's worried stare but Yuudai kept her gaze locked on the entrance. She knew who it was that ran and she had a feeling that she had known why. Fragments of recollections ran through her mind, the happy memories of the first friend she had made on Astraea Hill. Their first meeting at the Winter Ball, their encounter at the Music Club, volunteering at the host club, the day on the beach, even the band they made together. "I-I'll be right back." the prince muttered as she left her date's side, going after the heartbroken underclassman. She regretted leaving Emiko behind, without a doubt, but knowing that Junko who easily one of her best friends was heartbroken... She was torn.
The blonde made her way through the crowd, opening the door as a brisk breeze stung her skin. Her eyes darted around, seeking the familiar underclassman, but her attention was caught by the soft sobbing of the figure beside her. A silverette sat against the auditorium wall, her small shoulders trembling as she sobbed quietly, her snowy locks hiding her small face. "Junko..." A gentle feeling overcame the blonde prince as she approached the young girl, her expression filled with concern and sympathy. She kneeled beside the whitenette, hesitantly placing a reassuring hand on her back.

Just like a crow chasing the butterfly dandelions lost in the summer sky When you and I were getting high as outer space, I never thought you'd slip away I guess I was just a little too late.Junko could feel her tears flowing more heavily and her reaching became more rigid. She was so absorbed in her emotions she didn't even hear the older girl coming out of the auditorium. She did, however, hear her saying her name and feel the hand placed soothingly on her back. Junko gazed up at Yuudai, fresh tears still leaking from her eyes. "Y-Yuu- Kun..." She hiccuped and wiped her eyes on her arm, which did little to nothing to help. "Why... What..." She couldn't finish because of her sobs, so she took a deep breath and tried again. What are you doing out... Out here?" She tried desperately to hide how saddened she was. She wanted her dear friend to be happy, and she had certainly looked happy. But there was still something bothering her. Yuudai wasn't happy with her.The smile she tried to force onto her lips died, with another round of tears. She looked away, unable to face the truth of her feelings and what they might have meant. "I..." She gasped again, trying to control herself. "I just... I don't .." She stopped trying then she just looked up at her Yuu-Kun, hoping that everything she was feeling was reflected in her eyes. "I don't know what... What this is!" She cried, but she did. She really did and it was killing her to know that Yuudai hadn't felt it too.

The sight saddened Yuudai. Seeing her usually bubble Junko break down into tears like this, seeing her so brokenhearted, so dispirited, so dejected... The blonde set a gentle gaze on Junko, her scarlet stare warm with sympathy. She inched her slender arm around the younger girl's shoulder, pulling her into a caring embrace. She wasn't completely sure of what Junko was trying to say and she didn't want to make any awkward assumptions, but in the pit of her stomach she had felt as if she knew exactly what was going on with her... She couldn't help but feel bad.
Both arms wrapped around the girl, holding her in a loving hug. She slid her hand reassuringly on the girl's shoulder, keeping the underclassman's body close to hers. What was she to say? Should she just let Junko cry it out? But what about Emiko, whom she had left behind on the dance floor. "It's... okay... Yuudai muttered awkwardly, unsure on how to handle the situation. Things like this weren't exactly her forte, in fact it was probably one of those things that she was the worst at. She pulled Junko closer to her knowing that her words probably only made things worse. Hugs always worked, right? Hugs were the remedy to any situation... right? But if her precious Emiko were to enter, what was she to do? Surely Emiko would understand, right? Yuudai saw Junko as a friend, her best friend, and as far as she knew she could only see her in that light. Emiko was who she had loved in a romantic light, Junko who she had cared for as a dear friend; she was torn between the two.

When Yuudai excused herself to go after the girl, Emiko felt her heart sink into her stomach. Almost immediately, her wild imagination kicked into overdrive, playing out every possible reason for the situation at hand. The distressed little lamb didn't know what to think. Had this girl just been another one of Yuudai's 'fans'? Or had there been something more? She even went so far as to wonder if that girl also held the title of Yuudai's girlfriend. The very thought made her feel sick. Now, many of her thoughts may have been a bit irrational, but with Emiko being as emotionally fragile as she was...well, it sort of came with the territory. A strange mix of anger, sadness, and jealousy blanketed her heart. "I should have known...this was too good to be true..." Tears began to well up, despite desperate attempts to blink them away. She could feel countless pairs of eyes watching her, having witnessed the scene that had just unfolded. Her soft amber orbs searched the room frantically for a place where she could pull herself together without being scrutinized. Finally, she spotted one: A table near the back of the room, where a lone student sat quietly. She recognized the girl immediately, and quickly made her way over, hanging her head as she walked to avoid making eye contact. When she was close enough to be within the girl's hearing range, she softly called out to her, her voice breaking as the tears began to fall. "Y-Yoru-kun..." The redhead at the table glanced over in her direction, looking rather surprised. But her surprise was quickly replaced with concern, and she motioned for the distraught Lulim to come closer. Within seconds, Emiko sat beside her, crying helplessly into her shoulder. "Emiko-chan... What is it? What happened?" Yoru's voice was calm as usual, but the hint of worry was quite clear. She remained silent, gently stroking the older girl's hair as she explained the situation. After hearing the story, Yoru slowly shook her head. "Emiko-chan, listen... I know you're upset, but you really should wait to hear Yuudai's side of things before assuming the worst of her relationship with that girl." She said gently, wiping the smaller girl's tears with her thumb. "I...I know I should...but...I can't help it... I just... I can't deal with this..." Emiko's voice broke again, fresh tears beginning to flow. "It's like... I feel bad for that girl... And part of me just wants to go out there, hug her, and make everything better... But... The other part of me is really mad...and doesn't want anything to do with her at all..." She hiccuped, halfheartedly attempting to rub the tears away. "I feel like such a fool... Maybe I should just leave..." Yoru looked at her with sympathetic eyes, her hand gently rubbing her back. "I know how you feel, Emi-chan... And I know I can't force you to stay... But whatever you choose to do, just make sure you really think it through. If you love Yuudai as much as you say you do... I think things will eventually fall back into place." The crimson haired prince felt a little odd giving advice like this, especially to someone older than her. But Emiko had been a friend of hers for a while now, and was one of the few people in her life Yoru actually cared about. Seeing her like this, with teary eyes, makeup running down her face, and pain in her heart... It really did tug at her heartstrings. Emiko nodded slowly in response, contemplating the idea for a while before finally rising from her seat. "Yoru-kun... I think I need to take a walk...clear my head a little... Would you mind terribly if... Um... Would you come with me?" With a soft nod, Yoru stood up as well. "Arigato, Yoru-kun..." With that, the two proceeded towards the door, with Emiko trying her hardest to ignore the stares of surrounding girls. Before Yoru could stop her, Emiko pushed open the door and stepped out into the cold. She looked to the side, immediately taking notice of the two girls she now stood beside. She knew she was probably intruding on their moment, but at that point, she truly didn't care. Avoiding any sort of contact with Yuudai, visual or otherwise, she turned her gaze to the emotional underclassman. Giving the girl a sympathetic gaze, she simply spoke one word. "...Gomenasai..." With that, she turned on her heel and ran off into the distance, leaving a slightly frustrated Yoru behind in the dust. As she watched her friend disappear into the night, wondering if she should go after her, the redhead sighed softly. 'This is gonna be a long night...' Note: I didn't really wanna leave Emi in there by herself, so... I thought I'd throw in a little character development for her while Yuudai and Junko sort things out.

Just like a crow chasing the butterfly dandelions lost in the summer sky When you and I were getting high as outer space, I never thought you'd slip away I guess I was just a little too late.Junko instinctively leaned into Yuudais embrace. If she tried hard enough, she could almost imagine she was holding her the way she had held that other girl. But she knew it wast true, it was a daydream. She grasped Yuudais shoulders, crying into her shoulder, albeit softer then before. She pulled back, and scared directly into Yuudais eyes, er crystal blue orbs meeting the crimson ones, filled with conflict and sympathy. "I love you, Yuu- Kun." She said, her chest tightening as she spoke and another wave of sobs threatening to overtake her but she fought back, covering her face with her hands. She turned away from Yuudai, ashamed of her emotions. "It's not ok." She said, her voice soft and quiet. For a moment, she was startled to find that, with her voice so reserved and hushed, she sounded just like her sister. Is this how Kagami felt all the time? She wouldn't wish this feeling on anyone. She heard the doors open and the lilac- clad girl step through. For a second she and her eyes met, and she could see reflected in them the same pain she felt. Her quiet "Gomenasai" really tugged at Junkos heart strings and as she watched her run away, she felt her heart sink even further; she hadn't wanted to cause other people pain. With a final wipe of her eyes, she said "you'd better go after her, Yuu- Kun. I... I'm so sorry..." Then she turned away, waiting for her to leave. Junko felt completely alone, completely heartbroken. Until she happened to turn around a see a slightly familiar face. "Yoru- Kun...?"

"I love you..."
Yuudai's heart broke at the words, her dreaded intuition was true... She hated this, she hated that Junko had these feelings for her. The fact that she couldn't return those emotions, the fact that she had to turn down this poor, sweet girl... It killed her. She was worried that this ordeal would cause her to lose one of her closest friends ever, just the thought of it would leave her heart painted with guilt even if there was nothing she could really do about it. Why did love do these things to people? Why was love so complicated?
The upperclassman gently wiped Junko's tears with a motherly hand, her melancholic expression evident in her demeanor. "I-I'm sorry, Junko..." she stammered, her heartache clearly heard in her pitch. "I really am..." What other words were she to say in this situation? I'm not the one? It's not meant to be? Such insensitive thoughts never even crossed her mind, but it surely was how she had felt. If only there were a more sensitive way to put her feelings... A dream painted itself in Yuudai's imagination. One where a blonde knight could live with his princesses happily by his side. One whom he had set out to become his bride, the other who he had wanted to be happy with a truly deserving prince. Will fairytales like that ever exist..? Yuudai's ears flicked to a soft click. She shifted her gaze only to see her beloved Emiko heartbroken, standing beside a redheaded peer. Who was this newcomer exactly? The blonde prince was struck with shock, knowing that the devastated state her darling princess was in was her doing. She could only stare wide-eyed at the beauty and her new prince, the princess avoiding any contact with the blonde. Yuudai could only feel like an unworthy peasant at the feet of her princess; her knightly duty to protect her love had spiraled into failure and before she knew it, the princess had been snatched by a scarlet prince. The princess had muttered something, the tawny too grief-stricken to even make out what was said. She jumped to conclusions, feeling as if she had already lost her dear sweetheart, her love at first sight. Her heart twinged, was her entire world already crashing down on her? That brief period of happiness, was it all just God's joke? Maybe she really was an abomination to this planet just like her parents had always told her. Was this God's way of punishing her? Yuudai glanced at both girls who lay dearest to her heart, both of their faces were wet with tears, both of them were undoubtedly unhappy with her. Emiko who had turned to leave with the scarlet prince, Junko whose love was not returned. Perhaps it would have been best if she had never come to Astraea Hill... At least then, she would have saved these two angels from grief. Junko's voice soon jumped into Yuudai's thoughts, telling her to go after her dear Emiko. Her crimson gaze shifted over to the underclassman, dismal expression hardened on to her features. She couldn't just leave the poor girl here. As much as she wanted to go after her partner and ask for her forgiveness, she knew that she couldn't leave the heartbroken whitenette here. Her thoughts were soon accompanied by a mutter, signaling that Junko apparently knew who the crimson prince was. "C-Come with me..." the blonde said as she stood up, holding out a hand for Junko's reach. "Please..."There was only one way Yuudai knew that could possibly mend the situation. And if that didn't work, she could at least say goodbye to those she loved dearest. [/font] ●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊗✇ ♡ ✇⊗▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● Notes: ohmy getting interesting. * A * Word Count: 007

While Emiko ran ahead, Yoru stayed behind, her auburn eyes carefully taking in the scene before her. The handsome blonde, who she assumed was Emiko's lover, did not make a move to follow her, instead turning to the smaller girl and begging her to come along. Shaking her head slightly, she turned around, ready to head off after her friend. But when she heard the Junko say her name, she stopped, looking over her shoulder at her with sympathetic eyes. "Gomen, Junko-san.. We'll talk in a bit, I promise. But first, I have to find Emi-chan before she does something she'll regret." Smiling apologetically, she reached over and gave the girl a gentle (somewhat awkward) hug, before she took off running, hoping Emiko hadn't gotten too far. And, of course, she hadn't. But that was to be expected, considering she was trying to run while wearing high heels and a ball gown. The heartbroken girl propped herself up against a tree, struggling to catch her breath. Fresh tears were spilling down her reddened cheeks, her entire body trembling as she silently sobbed. How could something like this have happened? Yuudai was her world. Yuudai meant everything to her. Yuudai was the one she wanted to marry someday. So why did everything have to come crashing down around them? "I love you, Yuudai-kun..." She whimpered, paving the way for another fit of sobs. The longer she cried, it seemed, the more darkness seeped its way into her heart. As the whirlpool of emotions thrashed around in her head, feelings she'd hoped to never feel again began to resurface. "Who am I kidding...? I was never good enough to be with Yuudai-kun... She deserves so much better..." She muttered dejectedly, shivering as the brisk breeze sent a chill down her spine. "I should just...let them be happy... They'd be better off without me anyway..." "Emiko!" The sudden voice startled her, nearly making her fall backwards into the snow. Her heart sank a bit when the familiar face of the redhead appeared, for she had been hoping to see her prince. Yoru quickly made her way over, panting heavily as she struggled to catch her breath. "What...in the world...were you...thinking...?" She huffed, leaning against the tree beside her. The older girl averted her gaze, tears still falling unrelentingly. "I was doing what I should have done in the first place. Letting Yuudai-kun be happy..." "Happy...? Emi-chan, I can promise you she is far from happy right now." Yoru sighed, running a hand through her crimson mane. "When you ran off like that, you refused to look at her. But I saw her, Emiko. And she looked like she'd just taken a bullet to the chest. I don't even know her, and it hurt me to see her like that!" And that was certainly saying something, seeing as Yoru had never been the type to have compassion for anyone she didn't know well. It hurt the little lamb to hear that. It really did. The last thing she had wanted to do was hurt her precious Yuudai. She bit her lip, the pain in her eyes now joined by a deep regret. "I...I didn't mean to... I...just wanted everyone to be happy..." She murmured, looking up at Yoru helplessly. The ruby haired prince nodded understandingly, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I know you didn't mean it, Emi-chan... But you not being here isn't likely to make anyone very happy. Not even Junko-san. And especially not Yuudai. Despite what you may think right now, it only took one look into her eyes for me to see that she loves you. She really, truly loves you. There's no other explanation for the pain I saw in her eyes when you left." Emiko's emotions were clearly in shambles now, her body trembling heavily as she slowly collapsed into Yoru's arms, her soft sobs nearly bringing tears to Yoru's eyes as well. "Shhh... It's okay, Emi-chan... Just wait... Yuudai's going to make things right, I promise..." She said softly, gently stroking the broken girl's hair. "She'll dry your tears... And do everything she can to make you smile..." Her voice softened even more. "And hopefully...I can do the same for Junko..." Note: Ooooh snap... The drama is heating up... Interesting indeed. X3

As the pair swayed gently on the dance floor, Maiko felt oddly at home leading and acting as a sort of guardian for Kagami. There was no danger to her in the conventional sense of course. But in a sea of other girls dancing the night away, it might be possible for the white haired girl to become overwhelmed. It was a sea of uncertainty. Maiko could tell that she was a rock in that sea by how close Kagami stayed to her.
Her heart fluttered when she noticed that Kagami had in fact rested her head on Maiko's shoulder. How long had she dreamed of something like this happening with some special girl. No, not some, a girl who was dear to her. Though the time they'd known each other was short, Maiko felt very close to Kagami. It was so wonderful to see her so much happier now than when they'd first met. Each smile, each blush was enough to make her day. And it was because of her. All those fears of always being someone's older sister, rather than anything more appeared to be lifting.
Saying she thought someone was special to her wasn't something Maiko did as often as offering friendship and counsel. She was very frightened that she would scare her partner away by such an admission. Not that Kagami would reject her, but would react out of fright and uncertainty. Maiko was anxious as she gazed down into Kagami's eyes, finding them surprised. Her anxiety softened and she smiled a little. This could be it, her princess! Whatever that made her, she didn't care.
With Kagami's head resting on her shoulder Maiko smiled more and slowed the pace of her dancing a little more. She blushed as well, though not as powerfully as the other girl had. So to Kagami she meant a lot too. The blue haired underclassman hugged her senior just a little closer. Having the other girl's head resting once again upon her shoulder made her heart flutter again. All of it felt natural, none of it forced upon either girl. Then she heard very quietly but still distinct, Kagami asking her not to go away.
"Kagami-chan," she whispered as they moved to the music, "I won't. I won't ever go away.."

Just like a crow chasing the butterfly dandelions lost in the summer sky When you and I were getting high as outer space, I never thought you'd slip away I guess I was just a little too late.Junko felt a shiver go up her body as Yuudai wiped her tears away and expressed her apologies. This isn't what was supposed to happen; what had become off all those stories her mother had told her when she was younger? A young princess is rescued by her prince and they lived happily ever after. That's it. Why did it have to involve two princesses, both of them pining over the prince in question? Why did it have to include such heartbreak? Junko didn't realize it, but her childish innocence was slowly leaking out with every tear. She was finally realizing that, no, love didn't just med hearts. It broke them. Smashed them into a million tiny pieces and set the owners down a whirlwind of self- destruction. Love hurt. The realization left such a wound on her heart, that would surely go away with sufficient time but the scar would be there for the rest of her life. Junko had felt real pain, and now it could never be undone. She didn't respond to Yuudais apology because, really, there was nothing to say. Her precious Yuu- Kun didn't feel that way about her and that was that. She watched as Yoru ran after the other girl, and she felt such a sadness, such a guilt. It was her fault that the poor girl was upset, it was her fault that Yuudai was in this situation. Her eyes widdened when Yuudais had extended to her. "Why... Why would you want me to go with you...?" She didn't want to be anywhere near that girl, for fear she would cause more misery. But if her Yuu- San wanted it, who was she to say no? She grasped the hand and pulled herself off, not even waiting to brush her pretty dress off before she took off running. Hand-in-hand she ran with Yuudai until they could see the other two, Emiko wrapped in Yorus arms. Letting go of Yuudais hand she ran ahead, stopping in front of them. She was lost for words, not sure of what to say. But the words came out anyway. "Hime- Chan...?" She said, the words coming out naturally and easily. The tears still leaked out but Junko looked at her anyway. "I'm... I'm so sorry..." She said, looking away. She couldn't look at the girl and what her feelings had done to her. Notes- oooo boy, the gossip lets gonna be great this month!

♂ I z a n a m i " Y u u d a i " S a t o ♂ 【 Winter Ball 】 ●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊗✇ ♡ ✇⊗▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● The grief. The misery. It was all her fault. Tears never should have fallen today, not on this night. The Winter Ball was supposed to be majestic and fun but no, two girls were left in despair and another prince was about to take her place; Yuudai could only feel that this was all her fault. With every step she took with Junko, she could only feel her heart grow heavier. How would she be able to face Emiko? Surely the lamb never wanted to face Yuudai again after she had left so suddenly. Maybe the newcomer had already wiped away her tears and consoled her, something Yuudai had failed to do. Hand clasped in one another, Yuudai and Junko approached the couple by the tree only to be greeted with the sight of Emiko being held in the stranger's arms sobbing quietly. Failure. That was the only thing that overcame Yuudai. Seeing her girlfriend being comforted by someone else, how else was she to feel? She was the one who was supposed to be comforting Emiko. She was the one who was to be wiping away her tears. Emiko should be in her arms. What was she to do? Her princess was already taken away by another prince... Yuudai felt Junko's dainty hand slide out of her grasp, the small whitenette approaching Emiko and her new prince. Yuudai could only watch, anger and sadness bubbling inside of her. She lowered her head, her fists tightening, as she listened to Junko's apology. "No, Junko..." the blonde muttered. It was her fault for putting these two in such a situation, it was her fault for making such stupid mistakes, everything was her fault. Her saddened gaze shifted to her heartbroken Emiko who lay in the strangers arms. Everytime she looked she could feel her heart break. "I-I'm sorry..." the golden prince said, her melancholy expressed in her hurting eyes. "Emiko-chan... Junko-chan... To the both of you, I'm sorry. Everything I've done to cause you guys pain, neither of you deserve it..." Her words were genuine, her emotions aching with every word. The once dubbed Demon Prince, an aloof and cool figure whose mysterious aura wooed the girls of Astraea had become the LeRim Prince, a gentle knight whose emotions were not quite sorted out yet. But there was one thing that she knew, she loved them both... just in different ways... The prince turned towards the silverette, her orbs motherly and sympathetic. "Junko," she started, her voice gentle. "I can't return your feelings a-and I'm sorry for that..." She sighed, rubbing her neck with a hand, trying to find the right words to say. "But I'll help you find you prince who... just isn't me..." She looked at the underclassman apologetically, a thin bjmut reassuring smile made way on to her fair demeanor. "And Emiko-chan," her sharp scarlet eyes flicked over to her love as she clutched her chest. "You mean the world to me, you know that? A-And if you're angry with me and you want to be with someone else..." she choked, averting her gaze to the snow blanketed ground. "...Then... I'll be okay with that. But please remember that," she rested her hands on her knees, bowing before the couple, "I'll do anything to have you back in my arms!!!" Her voice was coated with sadness and jealousy as she begged for the princess' forgiveness. She could only hope that things would be mended. ●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬⊗✇ ♡ ✇⊗▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● Notes: omg ikr. * ^ * ) so excited for that issue!! Word Count: 007

As Yoru held Emiko in her arms, the surrounding silence became almost unbearable. It was as if the entire world had held its breath in anticipation of what was to come. The sound of footsteps approaching caught the attention of both girls, but Emiko seemed too distraught to even try to lift her head. That is, until a timid, unfamiliar voice reached her ears. "Hime- Chan...? I'm... I'm so sorry..." She felt Yoru nudge her softly, indicating that the girl was indeed speaking to her. Slowly, the tearful girl looked up, and to her surprise was greeted by an unexpected sight. There stood the white haired girl, with Yuudai watching painfully from the sidelines. The girl's name was Junko, if she remembered correctly. And she was...apologizing? Emiko tilted her head in confusion, tears still dripping down her cheeks. With some effort, and a little help from Yoru, she managed to compose herself enough to straighten up and turn to face her. Her chocolate eyes followed the girl as she averted her gaze, a small, pained smile tugging at her lips. "Junko-san..." She started, taking a small step towards the younger girl. "Please...Don't be sorry... You have nothing to be sorry for." Her voice wavered slightly as she hesitantly reached out, placing a gentle hand on the girl's shoulder. "If anyone should apologize...it's me. I'm so sorry, Junko-san... Please forgive my behavior. I...wasn't thinking straight." That said, she gently removed her hand, turning now to face Yuudai. She bit her lip, still unable to look the blonde prince in the eyes. She listened intently as the tawny began to speak. First to Junko, and then... "And Emiko-chan... You mean the world to me, you know that? A-And if you're angry with me and you want to be with someone else...Then... I'll be okay with that. But please remember that I'll do anything to have you back in my arms!!!" This immediately caught the girl's attention. Someone else? Where would she get an idea like that? It was then she realized what she meant. 'Yoru-kun... She thinks... I like Yoru-kun...' Shaking her head slightly, she slowly turned her gaze to the blonde, her amber orbs meeting Yuudai's crimson ones for a brief moment before Yuudai bowed before her. Her heart thumped wildly in her chest as she struggled to find words. "Y...Yuudai-kun... I..." Her voice began to break as her emotions overflowed once more. "I-I'm not... I'm not mad at you... And I d-don't want to be with anyone else... You... You're my world, Yuudai-kun... I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost you... I l-love you..." At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to go to her, and be in her arms again. But her body just wouldn't move. Taking note of this, the scarlet prince stepped forward. Placing a hand on the smaller girl's back, she gave her a gentle push, along with a reassuring smile. The little lamb stumbled a bit before regaining her footing, slowly making her way to where the blonde stood. Hesitantly, she reached out a trembling hand, standing before Yuudai with tears still flowing. "Yuudai-kun... Please forgive me..."

Just like a crow chasing the butterfly dandelions lost in the summer sky When you and I were getting high as outer space, I never thought you'd slip away I guess I was just a little too late.Junko looked back up at the sound of her name. Her sky- blue eyes again met the chocolate brown ones of the other princess. She was surprised then, by HER apologizing. "No!" She said, hands clenching. "Don't be sorry!" She was surprised further by Emiko placing her hand on her shoulder. She blinked, wide- eyed; the girl was showing such kindness to her, when she could have been completely justified to be furious with her, at least in Junkos mind. When Yuudai started talking, Junko turned to her, soaking in every word. She couldn't deny that the words hurt her; Yuudai wasn't her prince. This little princess was still waiting to be rescued. Junko had to swallow a lump in her throat before she could speak. "Yuu- Kun..." She walked towards her dearest fried and threw her arms around her neck in an affectionate hug. She stayed there for a moment before pulling away and giving a tiny, sad smile. "I understand." She said. "Yuudai... You're my friend, my best friend, and... Ill always love you one way or another." She cleared her throat nervously. "I just want you to be happy." She turned away when Yuudai was speaking to Emiko, and her love for the princess shone through every word she spoke. And Emikos words back to her sealed it. Junko turned back, her eyes shining, trying to hide her quivering lower lip. Lowering her head, she clutched her hands behind her back, feeling oddly out of place here amongst the couple. With one last sad glance, she turned with intention of Leaving them.

As Emiko and Yuudai spoke to one another, Yoru's eyes remained focused on only one thing: Junko-san. Throughout the entire situation, despite having been dragged into it for Emiko's sake, she had found herself worrying about the whitenette more than anything else. It was strange. They had only met once before... So why did it hurt so much to see her in such a sad state? That was a question Yoru was reluctant to answer. She watched carefully as Junko turned her back on the couple, clearly preparing to take her leave. She silently panicked a bit, wondering what she should do. Should she try and stop her? Should she let her go? Yoru was torn. Part of her wanted to stay and make sure Emiko was alright, but she also didn't want to let Junko out of her sight either. Taking another look at the two sixth years, she decided it would probably be best to leave them be. She was confident that Yuudai was capable of taking over things from here. Turning her back to them with a gentle smile, she quietly approached the ivory haired princess. "Junko-san..." She said softly, feeling a bit awkward and unusually shy. "Maybe it would be best..." She took one last glance at the couple over her shoulder. "...if we leave them alone for now. I think they need some time to sort things out." The scarlet prince wasn't really sure what else to say. She doubted anything she said could really be of comfort to the girl, especially since she wasn't exactly experienced with this sort of thing. But still, she wanted to be there for her, even if it meant walking in silence. She couldn't help but feel a bit jealous of Yuudai. The tawny had two beautiful girls who clearly loved her dearly. And she was able to express her emotions freely, despite the circumstances she found herself in. The blonde prince was, in a sense, the polar opposite of Yoru. And, despite her stubborn denial, there was a very small part of her that wished she could be more like that. Note: Finally decided to bring Yoru in on her own... It was getting confusing trying to write with her and Emiko in the same post. XD

People like us we've gotta stick together Keep your head up, nothing lasts foreverThe fragile Spican student tightened her hold on Maiko as she softly reassured her that she wasn't going anywhere. Kagami felt her heart speed up at the words, and suddenly nothing else mattered. Her parents and their ever- present didapproval and unrealistic expectations slipped away. Her sister, with all her acheivments and her natural confidence didn't even compare to how she was feeling. Her past loves didn't hurt. At that moment, she felt completely safe in Maikos arms, she felt sheltered and protected. Nothing could hurt her here; she was free, free from the walls she had erected and locked around her heart. Unbeknownst to either girl, Kagami had given Maiko the only key. Kagami looked up at her again, her eyes again blinking shyly through her bangs. "I... I'm so glad..." She gave a small smile. "I don't know what I would do, if I lost you, Maiko- Chan." Her smile grew a little as she spoke on. Maiko has reassured her, soothes her fears. She wanted Maiko to feel safe with her as well. "And... And I'm always g-gonna be here, too." She blushed. "If... If you need me..." Kagami couldn't imagine what the tall, strong, beautiful Maiko would ever need her for; she had done everything for the shy equestrian. Brought her out of her shell, taken the time to break down her walls. She had healed her broken heart, soothed her fears, shushed those worries in the back of her mind. Kagami wanted to do whatever it was she could in return, even if it only meant being by her side for as long as Maiko wanted her there. She couldn't tear her eyes away from Maiko, instead just hugging her closer, hoping that this moment, this feeling, would never die... Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom

A serene expression lit up Maiko's face as she gazed down upon Kagami. There was the smile she'd admired so often again, not only present but growing a little. Knowing what the Spican had gone through, having people she loved drift away or disappear all together, Maiko had felt so sorry for her. A cute and lovely young lady like herself deserved someone who would stay with her. Surely the girls in the past had had their reasons for leaving Kagami's life, but Maiko had no intention of following those examples. She would stay there to help Kagami, make her feel safe and enjoy the mutual affection they shared with each other. There was no place she'd rather be than with this girl, dancing in a Winter Wonderland.
"You never have to worry about losing me, Kagami-chan. I'll always be there for you.. didn't I promise?" she added with a wink, blushing a little with the addition of, "Thank you for being there for me too.. I'm really touched. Relationships work best when both people are there for each other. And I never had any doubt that you'd be there for me, Kagami-chan."
Again her heart fluttered as Kagami reciprocated her tightening of their hug. She was so proud of Kagami for coming out of her shell this far. This was the girl's natural state, Maiko felt: happy, if a bit shy. Maiko's azure eyes made contact with Kagami's purple ones and never lost that contact. Slowly she lifted an arm from Kagami's waist and gently slid her fingers through the girl's hair. The taller girl blushed, then leaned down a little so her face was close to Kagami's.
"Kagami-chan.. would you be my princess? I mean.. would you do me the honor of going out with me?" she asked, heart racing at the boldness of her request. Her expression, however, was tender and loving. Deep down she knew that she'd been falling for the delicate older Spican. And it felt wonderful.
