When she finally returned to consciousness, Sara could remember little of what had recently transpired. Her last truly clear memory was Coyote blocking the door to their room and demanding that she go to the infirmary… which she suddenly realized she was in. That brought her to a halt as she tried to remember the chain of events that had happened since that last clear memory until now. Things slowly came back to her, and as they did, she became steadily more confused and a little worried.
She slowly sat up in the bed she'd been placed in (that part she didn't remember… though she supposed she might have fallen asleep again) and looked over, starting slightly when she saw her roommate sitting there. Sara didn't quite know what to say, and thoughts bounced around in her head for another moment before she spoke. "C-Coyote? What… what happened?" Her voice was much quieter than normal and lacked the aggression it had held toward the Canadian for the past several months. She looked away from the other girl as another question made its way out of her mouth. "Is… is there something wrong with me?"

In an all too familiar scene, Coyote sat next to a friend who was still unconscious in the infirmary. Such circumstances were rarely enjoyable. If they ever were, Coyote couldn't think of a moment where it was. The trip to the infirmary went without incident. That was one silver lining. Having to navigate around nosy people wouldn't have made things any better.
Her teammate waited outside. Ever loyal, she didn't want to abandon the Canadian. The best course of action would be to wait for Coyote to return and make sure everything was OK. Meanwhile, the purple-haired hockey player had taken a seat. After the rush of adrenaline had subsided, came the crash. She didn't nod off, like she did the last time she had to help someone.
"Sara!" And just like that, she was at the girl's bedside. She tried to temper her emotions, but it was easy to get caught up in things.
"You fainted." she explained, "Malnutrition. Lack of sleep. The nurses said you'll be fine, but you need some rest."
Well, there was more that Sara would need. But, Coyote leave the rest of that up to the nurses to dictate.

Sara listened to Coyote's explanation mostly impassively and was pleased to hear there was nothing she couldn't just write off… somehow. That being said, she was also glad to hear she could get out of this infirmary sooner rather than later, if what Coyote was saying was all of it. "Oh. Nothing too major then." She was still looking away from her roommate, an expression approaching boredom on her face, and she let out a sigh.
"So, then how long do I need to stay here?" she asked, seeming quite nonchalant about the whole thing, having slipped back into her state of… well, not caring about anything would probably be the best way to describe it. She would like to head out sooner, she was supposed to meet up with Hiroko soon… though suddenly that thought seemed distasteful to her, but she shook it off as she continued to sit there.

Nothing major? She knew shouldn't have been surprised, but Coyote thought that this might have been something of a wake-up call for Sara. Clearly, though, the message wasn't getting through. Coyote closed her eyes as she sighed.
"I don't know." she answered. Quite truthfully, too. While Sara could certainly make a physical recover, the Canadian was sure that it would only be a matter of time before she wound up back here, again. What wasn't it going to take? She knew that she had to leave some of this to the nurses. They were the professionals, after all. And Sara's problem wasn't going to be solved overnight.
"You may not think this is a big deal, but the nurses have other ideas." she continued, "Physically, you'll be able to recover. But this is a serious problem. You passed right out, in our room. I had to carry you down to here to the infirmary. This isn't exactly an everyday problem, you know."

It seemed the state of near complete apathy was, in fact, only nearly complete. Sara had no desire whatsoever to remain in the infirmary. Mostly because the nurses would inevitably want to talk to her about things, and, well, she just didn't want to deal with that. At all.
Of course, what Coyote was saying just made it seem like there was no chance of escaping any time soon. And that was annoying. But for the present, it didn't really seem like it was there was that much she could do. She still felt weak and shaky, though her apathetic mask was easily hiding that. Or maybe it was just exhaustion finally catching up to her.
Sara only shrugged at Coyote's concerns, and would have left it at that, but felt it'd be better to actively dismiss them. "I collapsed, yes, but I'm fine now. It's a one time thing, I don't see what you're so worried about." And as far as Sara was concerned, it would be a one time thing. She'd make sure of it, and it'd get Coyote off of her case in the process, most likely, which would end up being a nice bonus.

A sense of dread filled the air with each panicked step Hiroko took on campus. Her schedule had been thrown for a complete loop without warning, and that had dire implications for the person she'd gone to see. Lately mother had become ever more insistent on discussing fine details of her pending wedding. Hiroko herself was on the razor's edge, almost ready to completely lose it over how stressful her life had become. Saving Maiko was impossible without sacrificing herself. That was something she couldn't make herself do now that her heart pined for others, others she couldn't have in anything but her daydreams. Occasionally she was able to forget her stress and feel valued when she visited Sara's room but now that too had gone awry. Upon arriving at the dorm in question no one was there to answer the door. Worse still when she did find someone who knew what was going on the news was terrifying for a gentle soul. Sara had apparently had some kind of episode and was at that moment being carried to the infirmary by Coyote!
Hiroko wasn't an athletic girl, but this news spurred her into action. Even though she got a lot of stares for running in the hallways she didn't care what others thought of her. Nuns could reprimand her later. Her friend was in trouble and it was right before one of their meetings! Maybe the very thought of doing that kind of thing again had made Sara feel bad? Maybe Hiroko was just being a burden to her when things were so troubling for her? She had to try and help regardless of why the girl had collapsed. Every step made her fear the worst for Sara. Some disease? Whatever it was she was increasingly afraid that it was her own fault. Why not? Nothing else she did seemed to have the desired effect. So far she couldn't rescue anyone, and instead got into far worse trouble herself. Once she was finally at the infirmary she was crying a little at her own shortcomings; the sight of Sara in such a condition as this, looking kind of distant, only added to her distress.
"S-s-s-sara-chan.. C-coyote-chan... " she murmured, trying not to let herself cry even more, "I'm sorry.."

Outside, Sara's room had been easy enough to find. One just had to look for the lone Spican hockey player standing guard. A hockey player who was more than willing to grant Hiroko entrance to the room in the infirmary. Like so many other of Coyote's teammates, she wished the two would finally get together and kiss, already!
That was something Coyote knew would have to wait. Not that she was eager to test her luck out with that sort of thing, again. Especially not now. The situation with her blue haired friend (and new found crush) was a very delicate one. One that would require a good deal of detective work that was still to come.
"I'm worried because of everything." Coyote said, "You barely go to class...if at all. You don't go to any clubs. You barely eat. Sara, this won't be a one time thing if you keep this up. It's --"
A familiar murmur caught her ear. Coyote whipped her head around to see the bluenette had entered the room. Tears were already present and Coyote wanted to rush over and wrap her arms around the girl. But, perhaps that wouldn't be the best thing to do.
"Hiroko..." it barely came out, above a whisper. She was stunned, quite frankly. The Canadian wasn't sure what to say, at all. Or where to begin.
