So I've seen a few live action lesbian movies, Boys Don't Cry: which was very sad and based on a true stry...not lovey dovey really..i didn't like it. But I'm Just A Cheerleader: which was cute and funny. and finally Imagine You and Me: which was probably my favorite of the three.
What lesbian movies have you seen? I was looking at Netflix, most of the gay and lesbian movies are cliche "coming out" stories, or very near sleezy, steamy, less than romantic attempts at a lovestory.
So what have you seen? would you reccomend any good ones?

I couldn't resist replying because this gives me a chance to plug one of my favorite movies: Saving Face.
An Asian American woman in the tight-knit Chinese community of Flushing, New York falls in love with another woman. Meanwhile, her strict, widowed mother is pregnant and outcasted by the traditional Chinese community, forced to live with her daughter. There is a lot of making fun of Asian dramas in the way that the film unfolds, and just a lot of random awesomeness. XD There are a lot of cliches, because of the whole Asian drama thing that they're making fun of, but I think it just made the movie more entertaining for me.

Cho: Lost and Delirious, yes? C:
I'm a huge girlslove fan so have been nerding a lot, but have to say "Imagine me & you" the first grilslove film I saw which I can remember is still my favourite, and it's already been mentioned. I'll see if I can remember some laters~ =^w^=

I feel like I need to watch Imagine Me and You again because I remember almost nothing of that movie! I know my ex really loves it too. =O
And Cho, I didn't know that they made a movie out of Tipping the Velvet. I read the book a while back. I love Sarah Waters. =) Have you read it? Now that I know there's a movie, I'm gonna have to watch it. Lol. I liked The Kids are Alright. It didn't hold my attention as much as Saving Face, but that's just because I have the attention span of a fruit fly. But that was a really good movie as well.
Now, I'm gonna have to watch Lost and Delirious too! Yay for good movie suggestions~

Nayu: YES YES THATS IT!!! Thankyou i completely forgot the title XD I love that film even though it was so sad. Well like i said, it was more of a BBC special than anything, it wasnt a feature movie, it was in episodes^^ and yes ive read it!! Ive read all of Sarah Waters' books There's also a film/show adaption of Affinity and Fingersmith! Now I thought id mention some films that arent solely lesbian based BUT have lesbians in them! Jane Austen Book Club- Young daredevil girl in that... near the start falls out with her current girlfriend but during the course of the film she meets a nurse in the hospital and... yeah ^^ RENT- (cant believe this hasnt been mentioned!) the obvious couple of Maureen and Joanne!! I absolutely adore this musical/film! Black Swan- now we all know this is a ballet based film but there IS some lesbian action in there... Chloe- A doctor hires an escort to seduce her husband, whom she suspects of cheating.... and yeah well that doesnt go to plan XD

Boys Don't Cry isn't really a lesbian live-action film. It's about a transgendered man's life and his struggle to become what he wishes for.

True, but I think it can still fall into the genre of LGBT movies. This thread might be about yuri movies in particular, but I thought it sorta fit into the list.

Theres also D.E.B.S <<;
Basically a movie about a secret spy academy for girls (shocker). The schools 'ace' also known as 'Perfect Score'- Amy, breaks up with her bf because she doesnt feel like she 'loves' him. Then when in a mission in persuit of their greatest enemy 'Lucy Diamond', Amy crosses paths with her during the middle of a shoot out and it was love at first sight for Lucy.
Its an awesome movie that reminds me of Charlies Angels xD Its not for everyone but so far everyone Ive introduced it to has loved it so... maybe its worth watching =3
I had a long crush on Lucy Diamond v///v DONT JUDGE ME! <//O//<

Oh my god the lost and delirious is the most saddest film ever, i was crying so hard but then again Loving Annabelle is just an all time favorite. If you wanna watch a good yuri rom-com, I'd suggest the four faced liar, its like the american version of Imagine me and you!
