Anissa had a little free time today and decided to check out the school's auditorium. They hadn't had any important events held here since she'd been attending and she wanted to know what it looked like inside and decided to do so today. Normally, she would head home after classes but she had plenty of time to get started on her homework. Besides, she was sort of tired of her mother asking her questions about the school that she couldn't answer so she was taking any chances she could to explore every inch of Astrea. The library was easy to find of course but she had wanted to see Lulium's and Spica's too but that would have to be done at a later time. At the moment, she was satisfying her curiosity as well as being able to answer her mother's questions. And her cousin's too since two of them were interested in wanting to attend here. The other, not so much so if she had to find out answers for them, the least she could do was explore some more to get all the necessary information for them. Education wise, the school had amazing opportunities present but it had a few strange quirks that Anissa just wasn't into. However, she didn't focus on them. Instead, she walked down the long lane of the auditorium towards the stage, shivering a bit at how cold it was inside.
That was to be expected. They had heavy lighting present and anyone who performed on stage of course would become a little hot so having the AC on was a necessity. That and to make sure that nothing else overheated in the building. Given that there were three schools present on the ground of Astrea, the size of the building didn't come as a surprise. It was enough space to hold the entire student body if needed. It was ... truly amazing really. The tri-colored teen couldn't help but to be amazed by that. "The structure of the inside of the building is nice. It compliments the outside of it very well. This had to take a lot of time to make in order to house a large number of students," he said, heading toward the stage where there were different instruments present as well as stage props that were used for any plays the school might have held in the past. She wasn't aware of them working on one currently. If it piqued her interest, she might attend the show but only if. She did like the array of instruments on the stage though. A saxophone, a tuba, a xylophone and many others. Including a very large state of the art piano, for which case she headed immediately toward to admire the beauty of it. "Wow, this is amazing. Fai-san would totally love a piano like this. Heh. He's better at playing it than I am." Anissa knew how to play the piano but never put much stock into it like her cousin had. He wasn't a professional or anything but he was pretty good at it.
He'd teach her sometimes, just to give her some new skills to adapt to. He also thought that by learning to play, it would help her overcome her fear of singing in front of others. Yeah, that was a lost cause since she still wasn't comfortable doing that around others. Besides, she didn't think she was any good at singing, much like playing the piano so she never bothered with it. She always focused so much on her studies that doing anything fun for leisure didn't come to her as easily as it did for others. But given that she was being asked more detailed questions about the school, she was tasked with finding out anything important. She knew Tami would love this auditorium since she was a natural born singer. Better than she was anyway but she wasn't interested in going to an all girls school though. "Well, if Tami-san could ignore the weirdness of this school, I think she might like it. I'll take a few pictures to send to her." She took her tablet out of her bag and took a few pictures of the stage, the props and of course the instruments. Especially the piano since she knew Fai would adore that. Maybe one day he could buy one just like it but it would cost a pretty penny to save up for it. Once done taking a few pictures, she put her tablet back in her bag, then removed the strap off her shoulder only to place it on the floor next to the piano bench.
Raising the piano cover over the keys, then sat down on the bench as she'd began to remember what Fai had taught her and properly positioned her hands and fingers over the keys of the piano. She took a deep breath and began to play a few notes from a song that she often heard Tami listen to sometimes. It was such a sad song but the notes to it matched perfectly with the lyrics. As she sat there and carefully played, she'd began humming a little bit to herself. Eventually, she did started singing, albeit, very softly but incorporating her own lyrics to it. "♪ Yes it's true that I give you the best I can. But I still need love, don't you understand? These nights never seem to go to plan. I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand ♪?" She took another deep breath and continued singing. "♪ Oh, won't you stay with me? Because you're all I need. This isn't love it's clear to see, but darling will you stay with me ♪?" It was at that moment that Anissa didn't think about anything or anyone else. She just sat there and sang her heart out, being only able to do so if no one was around watching her.

Hanako needed to get out, even if just for a quick stretch of her legs. She had been cramped in her dorm room far too long, brooding, accusing, and questioning the crumbling state of her mental health. Her roommate hadn't been present for over a year now, and her homework had been requested to be delivered straight to her dorm. She was pale, a little on the skinny side, and wore an insomniatic air about her along with one of nervousness. The button up white dress shirt held tight to her torso, yet not tight enough to display her ribs which had been beginning to shadow through her body under the skin, suggesting malnutrition and a lack of appetite caused by slight depression. Black dress-pants and shiny black shoes finished off the rest of her choice of outfit.
She looked like a boy. If it weren't for her long lashes and the delicate look of her hands and curves, she could pass off as one. Especially from behind, with this boyish style of outfit. Most of the girls that dressed boyish were often dubbed "Princes" and flirted with various girls of Astraea, though Hanako was no such Prince. She might look the part in dress, when she chose to dress boyish, but her disposition was nestled in a far more quieter and shyer region of the mind. "Hagino", the other side of her personality, would probably act differently, however, given certain circumstances.
It had been fear of a personality shift that had kept her locked away like a beast in a tower for this long. "Hagino" had caused the previous Miator Student Council President great stress. Akoyama Kuramiko... She was afraid the black-haired beauty thought so much less of her now, had she even thought the slightest of the brunette. Akoyama-sama had been the only girl she knew at Astraea so far...the only girl that really seemed to care even if it wasn't genuine. She just wanted to apologize to the manipulative past SCP, but she, like many others, had long disappeared over the course of the year she had spent isolated in her dorm.
The theater had seemed like a nice place to relax. From prior experiences, it was rarely used and usually was dormant unless the three schools conjoined and threw a play in the autumn months. No news of such plays had been announced, so Hanako assumed there was nothing going on in the theater. The walk to the location had been relatively lonely so far. She reached for the handle of the theater and quietly pulled the side door open. The sound of a piano and a voice akin to that of an angel's drifted out. Huh? So there was someone here. Hanako was about to leave, not wanting to disturb the girl and trying not to panic at the sight of someone, but found herself instead taking a step inside to peer in. There she was. A girl with peculiar colored hair playing the piano and singing. Singing quite beautifully, she could add. The sound was carried throughout the theater, spiraling up into the air and evaporating across the ceiling, filling the whole inner space with the melody. The theater had been built to provide for quality acoustics. Even just whispering on the stage, wisps of the conversation would and could be heard.
Hanako was so mesmerized for a moment, she forgot she was still holding the door. Her hand slipped and the door swung shut with a rather loud click. It made Hanako jump and her face became tinted red with embarrassment. With the way the lights were positioned in the theater, it would make anyone in the audience hard to see, so Hanako would be nothing more than a faintly distinguishable tall figure softly illuminated by the scope of the lighting.

"♪ Why am I so emotional? No it's not a good look, gain some self control. Deep down I know this never works, but you can stay with me so it doesn't hurt ♪." Anissa's mind remained focused on playing the piano. She pictured herself to be some place else instead of her original surroundings which allowed her to not feel as nervous while singing. After all, she'd never sang in front of others before. Well, aside from her cousins and her mother. Her mother was ecstatic that her daughter had such a wonderful voice and wanted her to put it to good use but Anissa didn't feel the same. She just wanted to get a good education wherever she went. Plus, she didn't think she sounded very good anyway. It wasn't all the time that she felt like singing. When something came to mind she would just sing it but in private. Kind of like now. Her fingers moved across the piano keys as she closed her eyes while bobbing her head up and down, pausing but humming the tune in her head. She was so focused on what she was doing that she hadn't paid enough attention to someone showing up in the theater. "♪ La, la, la, la, stay with me, for you're all I need. This isn't love it's clear to see. But please, stay---" Anissa stopped in the middle of singing due to the sound of the theater door slamming shut and echoing throughout the entire building.
It'd scared her so much that she ended up pressing the wrong keys, making a flat sound and jumped in fright as she looked toward the door to see who'd entered. Immediately she removed herself from the piano bench and stood up, believing that she was in trouble for being in the theater when she wasn't supposed to be. As for whom had entered, it was a girl that possibly looked older than her but she wasn't sure. She didn't know if she was an older student going around checking buildings for students hanging around where they shouldn't. Not that she knew if there was such a thing but all she was doing was exploring ... and playing the piano which she probably shouldn't have been doing so. On top of that, for however long the girl had been there, but she'd heard her sing, which to her felt like the worst thing ever. She shook her head and began nervously rubbing her left arm with her right hand, turning her head away. "I-I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to be here. I'll leave if it's a problem," she said.

For a moment, the brunette could only stare like a deer caught in the headlights. If the theater had had better lighting in the audience, it would be seen that her eyes were wide and her knees were trembling a little. Should she run? Stay? Continue to cower? Her mouth felt dry and her throat felt as if it were closing up. The other girl appeared just as frightened if not more.
"I- I-I-..."
She wasn't sure if she could do this. Maybe coming out was a bad idea. No. No, she had frightened this girl and had to reassure her that she had done nothing wrong. But she was having trouble finding her voice after so long... All that came out was dust, like an antique record player. Her head was starting to feel a little dizzy. "Hagino" saw a moment of vulnerability and went to spring out in full bloom, but Hanako fought to conceal her, inconspicuously digging her nails into the back of her opposite hand. She had to keep a grip on herself. She couldn't slip again. Not after seeing how much distress it had caused the first time with Akoyama-sama... Ugh, she sort of wished the menacing girl was around, even if she did make the brunette quiver and her flesh crawl in slight fear and caution under that piercing violet gaze and the ghostly way she spoke.
Get a grip. Get a grip. A shaky breath tumbled out past her lips and she tried to rise to her full height. Chocolate brown eyes found themselves averted much like the other girl's, an apologetic expression capturing her shadowed facial features beneath the faint layer of warm blush. Socializing again wasn't going to be easy...
"N-No, no... It's alright... Ah..." Each word fell out uncertainly and in a jumble of quivering syllables that fully betrayed her lack of social skills and her nervousness at the moment. "I was the one that intruded... Please forgive me...!"
She bowed quickly at the waist like a doll with a loose hinge at the waist. Her upper half became washed out in the soft glare of the lights, revealing her appearance more or less. Fringes of boyish brown hair bobbed and fluttered as she moved. She didn't want this girl to leave because of her, especially under the assumption that she had done something wrong, which she hadn't at all. Even if she had, Hanako didn't get out much so she wouldn't have known to reprimand the girl in the first place. Raising from her bow to her full, rather impressive height, she lowered her gaze and fidgeted with her hands. "Um... If you would like me to leave, please d-don't hesitate to s-say so..."
Her head still pounded. She could feel "Hagino" trying to overthrow her and take control. She didn't betray the internal battle with her facial features and let it rage on inside, trying to keep her breathing under control and her pupils from dilating and quivering like they did before a shift. It would be so terrible to scare someone on her first day back in public eye...

Apparently Anissa had been wrong in judging this girl, assuming that she might've been part of some sort of campus as it would appear that she was just as frightened as the tri-colored haired teen. That was not what she was expecting at all and it'd made her feel bad that her own fear had gotten the better of her and made someone else afraid. She really wasn't good at socializing with others and seemed to make things worse without meaning to. That or boring people with talks of anything educational. Other than that one girl, Anissa still hadn't really made much progress socially with others. She just wasn't good at that. It's enough when the girls stared at her in class whenever she was the first to raise her hand to answer questions or ask questions during lessons. This whole "friendship" thing was hard and honestly, she just preferred to stay to herself because it was easier. However, it would appear that she wasn't the only one that didn't come out as much. Well, she didn't know this girl for she'd never seen her before but as she took a few steps closer toward the edge of the stage, the girl's face became clearer as well. She watched her bowing apologetically to her but what she took more notice to was how pale her skin looked or maybe it was just the lighting in the theater. She wasn't sure but she really looked pale and skinny too. Maybe her eyes were playing tricks on her. Sometimes wearing glasses didn't always help when it came to seeing important things. Still though, she didn't want to be rude to the girl and shook her head again but still kept rubbing her hand up and down her arm nervously. "I-Iie, it's okay. I'm not mad. Gomen. I assumed that you were a student checking to make sure no one was in here when they're not supposed to be. I'm the one who should be apologizing," she said to her.

"Oh, no, y-you have nothing to apologize for... And th-that would be a nun's job..."
Not that any of the elderly nuns would have kicked this girl out of the theater presently. Classes were over and it was a few hours away from curfew still, so there was nothing to worry about. Almost all institutions on the Astraea campus were open to student use any time of the day, within reason and before curfew, of course. Hanako had had that all explained and memorized as to not her in trouble herself. If "Hagino" were to rear her head while Hanako was receiving a harsh lecture from a nun, she and her belongings would probably be thrown directly out of Astraea's gates. Well, maybe that was a bit of an extreme thought, but whatever might happen would certainly not be within the sympathetic realm of punishments.
Hanako lessened the pressure her nails were exerting into the back of her hand, letting out an ever so quiet sigh that the other would not hear not see now that she had leaned back under the shadows of the theater's audience. It was taboo for Miator girls to sigh. Hanako always chalked it up to superstition of some sorts, yet she had never gotten around to asking any older, wiser Miator girl exactly why. Perhaps because it wasn't lady-like. She was my sure. With the fear of a personality shift dwindling gradually by the minute, she hesitantly let her fidgeting hands rest at her sides. She would try allsjd could up not potentially scare the other before her with a shift. Not on her first day out after one again. It was especially troubling when it happened in class...
The theater was beginning to fall silent with the lack of conversation. For once, she didn't wish for silence, nor found it quite comfortable right now, so she gathered what little courage she had and spoke again, "Um... You play and sing...very beautifully, y-you know... Where did you learn....?"
Was that good? It had been so long since she had spoken to someone... And Akoyama-san had not been one for casual lengthy conversations, just small talk at the least, and many many questions from each party... But she had to compliment this girl: her talent was extraordinary!

It probably wasn't the best of ideas to remain standing on the stage. It may have been just the two of them there which would allow for sound to travel very far so they could hear one another but it seemed rude to distance herself. This was nothing more than a clear misunderstanding and given that she was already way past time leaving the campus to head home, it would be getting dark soon and the campus curfew for students that lived in the dorms was nearing. She didn't want to be caught and singled out as a rule breaker. That was something Anissa wasn't so she took a step back from the edge of the stage and turned to gather her things. She fixed the piano back to how it was before making her way down the stairs that led to the ground floor. Despite how awkward it was for her to talk to people that she didn't really know but this girl seemed really scared from what she could see from afar. The lighting was dim but she could see that part of her was terrified. She wondered for what. Had she done or said something that she'd not realize? Thinking more on it, the tri-colored haired teen felt it best to apologize for being on the defensive. She just wasn't used to the idea of people outside of, well her family, knowing that she could sing. Playing the piano wasn't that big of a deal but there was still much she had to learn about it. There was a time and place for it.
Right now, Anissa knew that she had to apologize to this girl. She may not have said anything she noticed right then but to be on the safe side, she was being polite and to show the girl that she didn't mean any harm at all. As she got closer to her, her eyes captured the frame of her body. She was wearing the Miator uniform that she was wearing, but the only problem she saw was how thin she looked. That was a cause for concern. Anissa wanted to address it but didn't want to appear insensitive in mentioning it. 'She looks ... so sickly. Like ... she hasn't been eating at all. I hope that she's okay,' Anissa thought as she held her hand out toward the other in a polite manner. Although she was caught off guard when complimented on how she played the piano and sang beautifully. It didn't bother her but it was uncomfortable to hear, particularly when she didn't agree. She pulled her hand back and wrapped both of her arms around her tablet, hiding her eyes behind her bangs. "It's not ... I mean ... I'm not great but I ... wanted to apologize for appearing rude in any way. I wasn't trying to. I just wasn't expecting anyone to come in," she told her honestly.
