"It's okay.. A.. And we could always get to know eachother.. O.. Only if you want to though.." She said, rubbing the back of her neck, smiling shyly and lowering her other arm.
((Sorry it's a bit short, I didn't really get any sleep so I'm a bit brain dead xD))

Anissa raised a brow, confused by this girl wanting to be friends with her. Earlier it didn't appear as if she was interested in wanting to do anything more than get away from her because of whatever it was that Anissa had said to offend her. Now she was extending the offer of friendship to her. The very concept of this moment was highly illogical in Anissa's mind. It's not the most common way that she knew people became friends, let alone interacted with one another so this entire situation just felt very ... off to her. She wasn't sure what to think other than it just being entirely confusing. She assumed that this girl, Saiki as she called herself was upset with her and wanted nothing to do with her. The sudden change of heart in that was unexpected to say the very least. This goes without saying that she wasn't curious as to what made Saiki run off the way she did but she was trying to mentally force herself not to ask, merely out of wanting to know for her own peace of mind. "I ... don't know. I've never had a friend before so I'm not sure what we're supposed to do. I ... really didn't come to this place looking for any friends. I just wanted to focus on my schoolwork and nothing more." She frowned, looking away from the girl while lightly rubbing her left arm in a fidgeting manner.
"Besides, I didn't think anyone would want to be friends with someone like me. I'm not like most girls so I'm pretty sure the things you like, I won't be interested in them and I don't want to say the wrong thing and end up offending you." She wasn't good at this. Talking to people. She didn't understand why her cousins and especially her mother thought it was so important for her to interact more with other people. Given that people as a whole can be untrustworthy at times, Anissa was protecting herself from being hurt by people that meant her no good. She knew not everyone in the world was like that but it was hard to tell sometimes. Even the nicest of people could have ulterior motives. But if this girl really wanted to be friends with her then, maybe she could give it a shot? She probably wouldn't be the best of friends considering that many teenagers did a lot more fun things than Anissa herself did. She found science, education and learning to be fun for her. Not many her age felt the same so she'd always been classified as a "nerd" and pretty much ended up having no friends. To be asked to be friends with someone was different for her and she wasn't sure how to feel about it other than just plain confusion and uncertainty.

"I.. I would like to be friends with you.." she said, blushing a little, looking at the ground.

"Hm?" Anissa tilted her head to the side as she tried to figure out how pray tell is this supposed to be a sign or some sort of offer of friendship. Granted, she didn't trust people automatically, being just as skittish as a cat but if one didn't seem like they were going to be a great headache to her, then she would occasionally make an exception. Unfortunately, she hadn't found anyone like that to call a friend. Weird enough she saw two girls making out and then this girl came out of no where wanting to know what was wrong. Wouldn't have been too much of a problem if she didn't bolt out of the library like the road runner from those old loony tune cartoons that her cousins seem to take joy in watching every so often. That part of their interaction still confused her and so she was tired of trying to figure it out so she thought of just asking. The answer she would receive might not make any sense to her still but she couldn't say anymore that she didn't try to ask the girl about it. That as well as wondering why she was blushing right now. Okay ... weird much? "Everything about this seems entirely illogical to me. So it's hard for me to say yes. You shot out of the library so fast after I said what I had. Did I offend you by saying that I only wanted to focus on what I was doing and didn't need to be distracted? If I had, that wasn't the intention. I was just being honest. I don't like being distracted from my studies for things that don't interest me. So you wanting to be friends with me when you had me thinking you were upset by what I said is very strange." Hearing how she spoke, she frowned and looked away from the girl, sighing a bit. "Gomen. I'm not very good interacting with others. I can admit that so I don't know anything about friendship but I do know that this isn't normally how people go about it."

Saiki sighed softly. "I'm sorry.. It's just.. When someone says something about a distraction, I just end up bolting when I don't want to. I.. It's to do with my past, you see.. When I was younger, me and my parents was involved in a car accident.. All I remember is my father saying not to be a distraction.." She trailed off, looking at the ground. "Sorry if it sounds like a sob story or something.. I've never really spoken to anyone about it.."

The girl was right, it was a sob story. One Anissa didn't really ask for her to divulge but she did it anyway. Her reason for dashing out of the library the way she did still felt very illogical, even if it was something that happened when she was younger. Usually when people said something to others that bothered them, it didn't involve being a distraction or saying they don't want to be distracted, even if the reason behind it doesn't pertain to them. Honestly, it was hard for the tri colored haired teen to understand, let alone feel bad. Heck, there were things about her life that were slightly sad but she didn't go around telling people that. The only family she'd ever known was her mother and her cousins. She didn't know her father but again, she never told anyone about that. Partly because it wasn't any of their business to know. Unless asked, it would be up to Anissa to talk about it but if not, then she didn't. There were just certain things she didn't make a big deal about. It wasn't going to help her move forward in life and therefore she tried hard not to dwell on it. All she could do as she stood there across from the other girl was shrug her shoulders in an indifferent manner.
"Gomen, I wish I could say I could relate but I don't. It's hard to relate to something that's never happened to me before. If it did, I probably wouldn't think much about it anyway. I'm just ... very different from other girls," Anissa admitted, rubbing her other arm lightly as she looked away from the girl. She felt kind of bad about it but at the same time, she'd rather be honest than to lie. If she truly wasn't bothered by anything she was saying and was able to overlook it then maybe ... she could try and be friends with her although she wasn't sure why this girl wanted to. She didn't even feel comfortable telling the girl her name because this whole situation felt completely out of sorts to her. In her mind, she believed that this girl would be better off hanging out with other girls here at Miator. Girls she might've had a little more in common with than herself. She liked learning, she liked science, she drowned herself in all sorts of books. You name it, she read it. She didn't see this girl being interested in anything like that. The girls that Anissa came across liked things she had no interests in. Although today would be the first time she'd seen two girls in such a manner before. Not even at her former school she'd seen same sex couples together, male or female. The concept she wasn't against but unlike others, it was the farthest thing from her mind. However, it wasn't up to her how this "friendship" thing was going to go today. That was all Saiki's choice.
