An alright had been said. It seemed as if the confliction of that day had been settled if only just a little. That put the widow in a bit of a lighter mood. What came next only surprised her. A date? An actual date? Maybe it was just the thought of it, but for whatever reason, Alice wanted to laugh. But she kept herself composed, icy mask never breaking its expressionless shield.
An actual date, hm? Like the ones couples went on? Alice pondered over the offer. She'd never been on an a actual date before. She was a heartbreaker -- a spirit -- not someone of presence and long-lasting romance. But with Jessie... All that got so conflicted. Ah, it was all so frustrating! Breathing out a frosty breath, the snowy spider looked at the girl. Sometimes the things this girl said managed to amuse her.
"Sure, I suppose." Wait...did she just accept? For a second, Alice hadn't been too conscious of her own words. It had just slipped out. Perhaps out of habit. Though it had been said, nonetheless. There was no taking that back. Regardless, it had still been agreed to in her own way. That much had been conscious. What would a date even be like with this girl? Alice could only wonder.

A slight smile with a blush to mach crossed the girls face as the date idea was accepted. " that's great, but first you need that ankle to heal."
Seems that their friendship had taken a turn, and not negatively but not necessarily in the way the both wanted, after all everything was up in the air. So now they were going to be going on a date soon, jeez , as Alice would say. Jessie knew the girl across her must be some how laughing though sadly with all the conflicting feelings the ice spirit didn't seem to show her usual slight smirk. Ah well this was all happening quite fast and she was alright with some things taking a bit to get back to normal.
Sitting back in the chair she looked at Alice , she was in her school uniform, though it was summer this didn't surprise the pink haired girl, after all Alice seemed rather fond of the style, even just a little. The summer uniform did look rather cute on her, pink cheeks deepened at this. She needed to change subject. " so... When you are doing better..you wish to start practice once again? "

Ah, yes, her ankle. Truthfully, Alice had forgotten about that for a moment. Such was that of someone who couldn't feel pain. She gave a nod to the words anyways. She was used to sprains, even if she didn't quite always recognize them right away until they got really bad. It was the presence of excruciating pain that stopped the average person from walking on that kind of injury, after all.
Alice wanted to smirk at the blush that had stolen across Jessie's face next. Though like her refrain from laughing a moment ago, she held herself in stiff composure. What was the girl thinking? She wondered for a moment, breaking from her thoughts when the girl began to speak.
That's right. They hadn't practiced since that day. How would their flow be? Still the same? Fragmented? Really, anything was possible. They'd just have to work with whatever might arise.
"Yes, that is, if you are alright with that." A lethargic wave of a lily-white hand was offered along with the monotonous words. They couldn't hold practice off forever, after all, no matter if confliction still lingered or not.

That classic flick of the hand , usually Jessie didn't mind it. After all she knew the icy figure enough to know it was just a habit of personality. Jessie did like the girl, personality look and all. Though at times she could see how it would be hard to really get to know this girl before her. In the long run , it could become an issue. Though what's wrong with at least trying .
Trying , shed been trying for a while now...to get even a step closer past the storm that she was in. Was it worth it? She knew that that had been the test of the widow, and Jessie had passed hadn't she ? This was what confused her. Yet each time she worked on her project she remembered why she liked this girl, ah that's right her project. " Alice.. I forgot... I need your permission for my project..are you alright if I use photos of us , of you for my portfolio? "
It was a sudden question, and really she had totally forgot about it. Therefore maybe the stormed thoughts were a good thing to a point.

Alice took a moment to think again in the brief silence that followed. She'd accepted to go on an actual date with this girl. And whatever contact that would be present during the whole thing. But why? It wasn't any sort of a test nor possessing any interior motive at all. Yet she had accepted; of course, in her own way.
What was it with Jessie? The widow had been pushed out of her comfort zone because of her so many times, yet the spider still remained in one form or another. Granted, it was partially because of the situation with practice, but Alice didn't quite mind her company much anymore. And it was a strange feeling. Surely she had to be keeping Jessie from falling from her web for a reason other than practice.... She just hadn't found it yet.
A question arose next. Iced over in her thoughts, Alice barely heard it. Her permission? To use pictures of the two of them in a project? The widow pondered over it for a moment before letting a soft answer slip from her pale lips: "Alright."
Another partially unconscious answer. Ah well. Now that she thought about it, it wasn't like her to allow herself to be photographed. Kissing and letting someone hold her hand for a long period of time either. Neither looking someone directly in the eyes. And that day, when she had melted her frozen guard... Alice shook her head from her thoughts.

So yet another thing had been accepted. Some would wonder why, others could care less. Though for Jessie it was something in-between, yes she was wondering why Alice agreed to everything so easily. Yet again she was happy to be able to finish her project. This reminded her that maybe Alice might light to see the photos she speaks of.
Standing she carefully made her way to the dark room carefully entering it she checked her work and brought out a few that were ready. Leaving the dark room she went back to where she once sat. Facing the iced figure she held out the photos the one from the amusement park, and the one of her from the rose garden. They were beautifully taken and showed how she saw the white widow.
The angelic photos and happiness that was shown in them was in full few. " what do you think?"

Icy eyes watched Jessie as the girl departed briefly into another room. Alice took the time next to examine her ankle. Hopefully it would heal soon now. That is, if she could even remember its presence after a while. Ah well. This was all too familiar an injury to her. They always eventually healed at some point or another. Until lack of concentration apprehended the limb once more.
When the pink haired girl returned, the snowy spider shifted to fix her altered sitting position. Two pictures were displayed in hand. Ah, she remembered these. Both of them. They were both lovely. Beautiful, too. Alice didn't quite recognize herself at first. Was this how the girl viewed her? Frosted orbs flickered up to look at her.
"They are quite lovely." The widow offered genuinely. It was a truthful compliment. Sincere. As her frozen gaze glanced back down briefly at the photos, she noticed something. Only slightly, but the picture of the icy spider at the rose garden; there was more ice encasing her being than in the one at the amusement park. Had her ice...perhaps melted a bit over time? It was possible, even though she didn't really like to admit it.
Really, the time she had spent with Jessie had succeeded in melting it slightly. The widow couldn't quite understand why still... Could it be...that she did have feelings for this girl? For Jessie? Ah, it was frustrating! But the confusing question lingered in the spider's flurrying mind.

They were quite lovely. Though Jessie took pride in her work, getting complemented like this was still embarrassing. Blushing slightly she placed the photos back into their folder. " i-if you wish I can get you copies once I am able to make them.
Setting the folder down she found her self staring at the girl before her.Alice like in her photos was beautiful. She couldn't help that thought to be the loudest of them all.No matter the pinked haired girls confliction she still was amazed by the icy spirit. How she looked acted presented her self. It all seemed so elegant. So mysterious, how can a young girl be so mature. Yes she had seen first hand of how Alice lived and though she understood now, the idea of it still was a wonderment .
They now seemed to stand in silence, Jessie was sadly at a loss of what to say, guess their awkwardness had still a grip over them . Left over from there last meeting . Jessie blinked realizing how she still stared at the spirit she looked away, blushing.

Alice thought for a moment before giving a graceful nod in silent response to the offer. Small icicle braids swayed with the action. Jessie was quite the photographer; be it a fond hobby or an aspiring passion. The girl had an eye for it too. Like how she'd snapped a picture of the vivid sunset that night at the beach. Ah, yes, photographs could convey a lot about the photographer themselves.
Mixed pink eyes shifted to the widow and she stared back for a moment with glittering icy eyes. Sometimes she found it strange -- how two people of polar differences could work so well together. Fire didn't mix with ice, nor warmth with chill. Their personalities, too, varied on some degree, yet occasional playfulness and flirtatiousness bordered the same for the two. Yet they still flowed so well together in dance. Not only that, but the storm of conflicting fire and ice could be neutralized at times into a gentle blend. What was that saying; opposites attract, was it?
A smirk finally flickered across pale lips; faint but slightly noticeable. The presence of the blush painting the other girl's cheeks had awakened the playfulness a little within the widow -- it had been dormant since that day. But she wouldn't act on it. Not yet at least. So she let it fade after a moment and instead spoke quietly in her natural monotonous tone: "Quite a talent for photography, you have."

" thank you, I am happy you seem to like them. "
At least Alice appreciated it all. That made everything feel better. Hot and cold seemed conflicting but it also seemed to steam out a bit at least. Know the question what had Alice been up to, there really was only one way to find out. " what have you been up to .. Since we took a brake ?"
Was brake even the right word? They had ended it rather oddly last time they hung out. It was still confusing but either way. Setting that aside Jessie was curious on how Alice was. She was a bit worried about how she left things , guess her question would hopeful answer this.

"You're quite welcome."
Alice did like the photos. Though she had found it interesting. The feel of the first one compared to the one at the amusement park. Sure, she had been just playing, but she could conclude that it was much more lighthearted. And while the widow seldom smiled, she had gotten close to one -- albeit, a playful smirk -- in the later one. Something about that plucked a chord in her web. It wasn't quite like that right now. There was an air of confliction. Not between just her, but to the both of them. Would they be able to surpass it like they had with the topic of that day at the lake? Perhaps.
The snowy spider yanked herself from her thoughts just as a question was asked of her. It was more of a seperation than a break to her. A seperation to sort everything out. Yet the unsorted confliction still remained. It frustrated her and wore her out.
"I have been practicing ballet and going about summer studies." She offered. "And you?"

So Alice had kept up with practice, that was good to hear. Although Jessie kept up with her work outs she sadly didn't know much other dancing to do for keeping up . Slightly worried she thought of there flow she thought for a moment. What would there practice be now? It couldn't be terrible but there was so much confliction.
Yet in some ways never changed which only made Jessie internally sigh, although there was hope after all she can't forget the date they were to go on . " that's good to hear, Alice , as for me.. This project kept me busy, yet I have been working up my strength"
Sitting back she thought of how to bring up how Alice felt about the confession. Though they finally were talking again was it worth ruining it ? Ah another internal sigh as she readied to listen to Alices response.

The widow listened to Jessie's words. It appeared as if her project had encompassed her time. That and working out. At least she was keeping herself occupied. Alice couldn't help but wonder if thoughts of that day had plagued Jessie's mind as much as it had stormed hers. She hadn't been able to concentrate very well with those clouds in her mind. Neither was she too fond of dwelling upon it during the nights her insomnia had worsened and prevented her from sleeping. Ah, it was tiring.
"Is that so? Productivity is good."
The snowy spider shifted a little in her chair next, reaching up to adjust a braid. Ivory fingers gently pinched and tightened the tiny black bow. It had come undone slightly with the previous motion of her injury's accompanying limp. Hopefully it would heal soon. About half way through the second day she'd had it, she'd been a little too careless with it and had ended up collapsing on her way back to the dorms. It made her feel weak. Pathetic, in some cases. A wounded spider was a vulnerable spider. And a vulnerable spider was an easy catch. Though Alice was not one to be taken advantage of so easily. Even wounded, she could still bite and scratch.
Flashing her frosted orbs back up at Jessie, she decided to speak again, for once not desiring silence out of not wanting to slip back into her thoughts, "I hope your project goes well."

" i do as well."
She watched as Alice fiddled with her braid , making sure it was just so. The silvery white glistened in the light that was in the room. Ah yes she was going to have Alice show her how. Almost forgetting she slightly scooted her chair forward. " mind showing me ?"
It was a soft spoken question as a hand was held out a hand to point at the braid a soft smile grazed her lips as she looked at the weaves of hair that was placed softly on either side of the porcine face. This face was lovely and for a widow that covered her self with ice her features were soft, neat almost if that was the right phrase. Everything about Alice seemed just so. It was amazing to Jessie .

Icy eyes watched as the girl suddenly moved closer to her with a soft-spoken request. That's right, she'd offered to teach her. For some reason, seeing Jessie smile made the white widow feel a bit more at ease in the confliction. Truthfully, she had missed it a little over their period of seperation. "Alright."
Ivory fingers trailed to the braid she had just fixed. With a soft tug, the bow slipped out, leaving the alabaster serpents to unravel the intertwined hair like fragile silk. The freed lock of white hair was next combed through with two fingers to spread it from its confined, clumped shape. "First, seperat the portion you would like to form the braid into three individual strands."
Pausing, she applied her quiet instructions to her own hair. Two small strands were pulled like threads off to the sides, leaving one to dangle like a glistening pillar by itself. "Seperat two strands like so, leaving one to serve as the base of the braid. Make sure they are all remotely even. Then lace one over the other around it."
Ah, speaking this much was beginning to exhaust her a little. Reaching out; albeit hesitant; Alice ever so gently took a strand of the other's cherry pink hair between pale fingers. She remembered Jessie didn't quite like having her hair touched - scared, seemed more like it - so she kept her snowy touch light. So much so that there wasn't a possibility of feeling it. The spider worked quickly, regardless, starting the beginning for her just so she could get a feel of what it would be like. Withdrawing her hand, she hesitated, waiting to see if Jessie was getting this at all.
