Was she calling her a liar? No.. Alice was just guarded . Jessie had stepped over a line. She hadn't meant to, she just wanted Alice to try to understand her own feeling . Standing Jessie sighed " Alice .. I just...i meant that maybe ..with out your guard, even for a moment you could truly understand your own feelings .. I hadn't meant to upset you."

Looking down at the white haired spider she held a hand out hopeful for something , maybe she would just simply take it to get up. That or maybe she was hoping Alice would take it and embrace her. Foolish thought Jessie knew but still, hope pitter pattered in her heart. " Just for a moment that's all I ask...just so you don't have to look at this situation covered in ice ."


Holding her hand out she almost waited to get bitten,though what would she do if she was? Run? Take it ? Cry? Could she even handle the idea? She loved this girl infront of her at least it seemed so having any doubt made her nervous.

Her own feelings. Alice wasn't even sure what her own feelings were. What did she feel for this girl...? She never thought she'd ever have to ask herself such a question. Somewhere in her heart, the ice had melted a little over the time she had spent with Jessie. Their practices, the amusement park, the beach --- all of those had coaxed a small portion to melt ever so slightly. Even yesterday had contributed too. The kiss, the dance, their little game.

Frosted eyes examined the hand that was held out for her. Some part of her wished to bite it. Her fangs were already bared in preparation, but the other nagging half surpressed the defining action for the moment. Let her guard down... For...just a moment... Could she? Her icy gaze flickered up to the boyish girl. Just for a moment...

An icy hand hesitantly reached out to connect with the warmer one. The contact once again burned, but the widow tried not to focus on that right now. Pushing herself to her feet, she let her ghostly gaze remain trained on the girl's face. Her body was tense; even her fingers had stiffened in accompaniment. A gust of wind combed through the white hair, making the alabaster serpentine strands flare with a life of their own. Letting an icy breath fall from her lips, she once more emulated a ticked off cat, yet kept the venomous fangs from coming down.

"Just...for a moment." She murmured.

Though that would be all it would take for the fine strands of web to snap. Just for a moment, that ice would melt. Just for a moment she'd keep the other balanced in the fragile, trembling center of her glistening silk web. Just for a moment...the widow's fangs would cease to be bared. All tension melted for a fraction of a second along with the ice of her fortified guard, and the stopwatch for that granted moment was started.

Just for a moment.

A moment is all the blossom headed girl had stepping closer she kisses the girl , soft sweet like before. Though this time placing all feelings in the kiss. Fear, worry, passion,love,like ,want, nervousness, protectiveness' Even a little playfulness founds its way. It was all the feeling shed felt with the icy angel .

Pulling away slow she let the words out as a breath " I love you Alice."

With the moment ending she hoped shed gotten her message out and under the now freezing ice. Would her statement be heard now, would it be felt now was the better question. Love hung by a thread and so did she .

White lashes fell gradually over narrowed frosted eyes as the snowy spider was kissed. It held the same softness as the one before but... This one possessed a plethora of feelings. All conflicting, but each one distinguishable. Love and fear. Passion and nervousness. Want and worry. Everything was felt by the widow.

The kiss was broken, the phrase repeated. The pleasant warmth of the contact remained on the chilled pale lips this time. Jessie...wasn't lying about her confession. Alice washed her icy gaze over the mixed pink one. Relaxed, she forgot her own ivory hand was still gripping lightly onto the warm one.

Then the stopwatch clicked to its final stop. Tension returned ever so slightly along with the icy guard, but it remained thawed for the moment as she tried to process everything. Jessie's feelings were sincere. Some even seemed to find a mirror match with the own burrowed within the spider. She couldn't possibly have feelings for this girl... Could she? A temptress, a white widow, a serial heartbreaker...harbor feelings for a mere being of prey. No, Jessie still wasn't prey. What on earth was she then? Alice had no clue. And it frustrated her to her icy core. She wanted to know. But...what lay behind that answer? In front of it? It unsettled her...

"I..." The words froze in her throat. That transfer of internal emotions had stunned the spider for a moment. What...could she say to all that...? What did she even feel?

Confused and frustrated with herself, the widow just shook her head and looked to the girl again as if to inquire the answer from her. The icy grip tightened a little aganist the warm hand to secure Jessie a little from where she still dangled on the thread of web. She still was poised to bite. But the internal confusion and frustration kept the poison fangs dormant for the moment.

Jessie could feel the grip tighten on her hand . She could feel the confliction, she could even feel as the ice started to freeze once more , by the hand that held hers. Hope lingered across her features as she just looked at the snowy girl. Taking the hand, holding it tightly back . " Alice-"

What more could she say, it was now up to Alice. Though if it was still the same...would she still fight? She guessed so but was it her turn to be fighting ? Internally sighing she just waited for a response. Thinking of the kiss she smiled softly.

It had been soft,sweet like much of there kisses. It was when cold and hot worked together. It was nice and the feeling of hot and cold twisting so nicely was one reason she enjoyed this girl.

Kissing wasn't the only thing , the dancing wasn't anything she felt before they're movements were magical..she didn't know why she danced so well with this girl but she enjoyed it and she hopped Alice did as well.

Iced over eyes focused on the other. It seemed like this was up to her... Alice didn't know how to love. She'd never tried --- never had the desire to. Factually, widows didn't even love because the female spiders ended it themselves.

This... All of this... Why was she getting so caught up on some confession? One she'd heard pass so many times through many a pair of pathetic lips. It should just be so easy just to bite, yet... This confession hadn't felt like some puppy-dog wish for love. No, the snowy spider had felt all those pent up emotions. The sincerity and confliction. This was all so...

Letting out a frosted breath, her eyes narrowed once more, though this time out of habit. Her guard had resumed, her composure more or less collected. If this was true -- Jessie's confession and feelings... If she truly didn't care about the risks to follow...

"If you truly aren't afraid of possibly being bitten --- of risking freezing over and falling from this fragile web..." Pausing for a moment, she took a hesitant step closer to the boyish girl, icy eyes frosting over once more to disguise any form of emotion that might have slipped into their glacier-like light. "...Then show me."

With her refound guard, the albino spider gradually leaned forward. Ice cold lips once again met warm ones. And so did ivory canines. Alice had bitten down lightly like she had done at the beach, but soon increased the pressure after a moment to a mild, pierecing pain. The widow had bitten. Literally. Not out of its usual meaning of anger or irritation, no. Not even soft possession this time. But rather one last silent inquisition of those three defeating words. If Jessie truly meant everything she had said... If she truly loved the spider... Could she hold on through the defining bite?

Then show her? How ? Then it happened a kiss, it started like usual but teeth soon met her lower lip,yet the nip was slight it soon became much more. This feeling it hurt. Being abused how she was she didn't like that Alice had done this, as a test,maybe but this wasn't ok.

Yet Jessie stood there feeling as the nip had managed to cause a small slice accrue. Feeling a bit of blood cross her cross her lip and then chin . She was sure that the slice wasn't meant , but at this point she wasn't sure. Her grip on the ice hand shook as she took the pain. Why did she do this? Alice knew this would hurt Jessie, yet she still did it... Of course..show her.. Show her she was willing to take the pain as well as the love. Jessie now understood letting the bite go on she could help but let a tear slide down her cheek. As she kissed back .

Though...why did Alice have to test her? Was it really worth it ? Yes..Jessie guessed. As soon it was over she wiped the blood away. It wasn't as bad as she though as she stepped back . Her own eyes narrowed as she spoke . " See. I am willing to take it. I do love you . And I want you to love me back, but...that wasn't alright. You can bite me all you want.. But the fact your still testing me in some way...isn't alright. "

As she turned her body she took a steady breath. " I have been abused all my life .. I don't need you to add to it.. I love you, but I need you to love me with out needing to test me. "

Blood. Alice hadn't meant for there to be blood, but never knowing pain, she didn't know how much force she'd applied. How much pain she'd just caused. Yet Jessie still held to her surprise though that warm hand trembled in her own.

When it was broken, the widow just stared at the girl wiping the blood away. She didn't wipe the small amount that had stained her own lips from delivering the bite. Though the piercing ivory canines held the metallic taste. The words that were projected next were harsh. She had hurt Jessie. There was no way around that. And the boyish girl was right. It wasn't right to test her like that. Especially with that statement about abuse. That's right. Jessie had suffered abuse up until she came to Astrea. This didn't help that fact at all.

Though...loving someone. Could a widow do that? Alice only knew how to break hearts. To manipulate and shatter them to dust along with the foolish illusions of childish love that had been created within them, Not connect them.

"I don't know how to love." The blunt statement came out quietly and cold but truthful. She had no clue how to love. She wasn't even sure if she could. But the boyish girl had taken a chance despite all that.

She couldn't look at the girl, nor could she really stay upset. Yet that test hurt her. She knew Alice didn't mean to hurt Jessie that much, yet Jessie couldn't let her self be tested anymore. Then something that ached at her heart was said, she didn't know how to love. Sighing Jessie looked at her feet. " I don't either Alice... And I am willing to learn with you..but..not until your ready to do so.."

Looking back at the girl she walked over kissing her forehead she stood straight. " I should go... I think we both need some time to think.. I'll keep practicing with you..but..lets take a bit of a brake. I want you sure you want this.."

Walking past the frosted girl she took her thumb and whipped the blood from Alices lip. " I'll see you at school.."
