Name: Kitsune Hoshina (Ai Ichigo)
School Attending: Miator
Age/ Year in School: 14/Third Year
~ Appearance ~
Face Claim: Mika Jougasaki (Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls)
Hair Color: Light pink
Hairstyle: Depends on the day. Most of the time, it’s either down or held in a simple ponytail. She’s not too picky when it comes to her hair.
Eye Color: Golden brown
Height: 5’6
What kind of clothes does your character wear when she's not in uniform?
Kitsune’s style matches her personality: loud, colorful, and fun. She’ll wear anything that has bright colors or cute patterns. She’s most often seen in oversized sweaters, colorful t-shirts/tank tops, and shorts/skinny jeans. She’s a girly girl at heart, but she’s never cared much for skirts/dresses, as she enjoys being active and doesn’t like to feel restricted while doing so. She has a necklace with a fox pendant that she never takes off, as well as a keychain with a small fox plushie that hangs from her belt (or her bag, if she’s in uniform) at all times (both were gifts from Kotori).
What kinds of activities is your character involved in? -You may choose "none" or choose a maximum of three from the list below.
Ballroom Dancing: Yes
Band: Yes
What instrument(s) does she play? Flute
Is your character on the Student Council? -No
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president, Shimizu Hikari? Please answer this because if your character is on the student council, then she would know who Shimizu is and would have an opinion of her.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Kitsune is exuberant, brash, inattentive, and heedless to formality or social standings. She has a number of childish traits, like wearing a plush fox keychain on her belt which she affectionately calls "Kyuubi-kun”, being a very picky eater, and being afraid of ghosts and the dark. However, whenever someone dear to her is in trouble or the situation calls for it, Kitsune can be very serious, and will instantly try to come to their aid. According to Shinjo (Kotori’s father/her martial arts sensei), Kitsune learns through her body, as she is relatively naive, simple, and slow to understand a principle or situation, which often requires an oversimplified analogy in order to grasp what is being explained to her. Kitsune responds best to competition and has a great deal of self-confidence, though not so much that she appears vain. Despite her somewhat naive nature, she has proven to have a keen eye to certain things most people don't see, showing that she can be smarter than most people are willing to give her credit for. She is also quite observant in regards to other people's feelings, and is able to perceive the truth from people's intentions. Kitsune's determination and drive strongly impacts the lives of those around her. Her empathetic, genuinely kind nature often puts others at ease. However, her strong desire to protect what’s important to her often leads her to rash decisions (she has more battle scars than she can count because of her brash nature and unwillingness to back down from a fight). She hates to see people suffer, and would much rather shoulder burdens herself than allow anyone she loves to do so.
What does your character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
She finds the idea fun, and envies the responsibility given to those who earn the position.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
If she found the right person to run with, yes.
What does your character think of Chokone Manatsu and Shizuka Myūzu, the current etoiles? Kitsune absolutely adores Chokone. She loves the innocent aura she gives off. She also greatly admires Shizuka, and hopes she too can someday find a princess like Chokone to stand by her side.
What does your character think of the other schools? Kitsune, as previously stated, thrives on competition, so the Miator-Spica rivalry is right up her alley. Even so, she would have preferred the relaxed atmosphere of Lulim. Miator’s rules and regulations don’t sit well with the rebel in her.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Miator: Kitsune had a fairly decent childhood. She was raised by her aunt and uncle (who took over her care at a very early age), as her mother was in jail and her father was a hardcore drug addict. The couple was very kind to her, but she was constantly taunted by their children (an older boy named Ryota and his younger sister Maka, both notorious bullies among the neighborhood children). They excluded her from everything they did, and did everything they could to make her feel unwanted in their household. When words did nothing to deter her, they resorted to physical violence. Unfortunately, her aunt and uncle refused to confront their children, as they didn’t believe Ryota and Maka were capable of such horrid things. Kitsune, tired of being pushed around, enlisted the help of her grandfather (who was good friends with Shinjo Saeki), and together they enrolled her in a self-defense course at his martial arts dojo. It was there that she met Kotori Saeki, her sensei’s shy but powerful daughter. The two began to train together, and eventually became close friends. Kitsune was the only person aside from Miki and Nadeshiko who knew about Shinjo’s abusive ways. It was because of this knowledge that Kitsune resolved to hone her skills and get stronger, as she wanted more than anything to protect her precious Kotori (her ‘imouto-chan’, as she affectionately called her). This knowledge was also the reason Kitsune would walk past Kotori’s house on her way home every day, despite it being out of her way. Unbeknownst to Kotori, Kitsune was the one who called the police the day her father got arrested for beating her. Her aunt and uncle were very proud of her for this, and things continued normally for a while. Kitsune was doing well in school, and had many friends due to her reputation as ‘the white knight’ (since acquiring her martial arts skills, she had been using them to defend the innocent from bullies in school). But things took a turn for the worse when a certain set of bullies pushed the white knight too far. Kotori, who had just been released from the hospital, came to the Hoshina household for one last visit with Kitsune before she moved in with her mother and sister. Kitsune was on her way home from school and had yet to arrive at the house. Aware of this, Ryota and Maka (who knew of Kotori’s circumstances) immediately took the opportunity to torment her. When Kitsune came home to find her fragile friend cowering in the corner, Ryota and Maka closing in on her, every ounce of restraint she had dissolved...and she snapped. In just a few terror-filled minutes, she managed to knock Maka out cold, and badly injure her brother. Had it not been for their parents’ quick intervention, the siblings would have likely been killed. Rather than press charges against her (after learning from Ryota and Maka that they had instigated the fight), they decided the best thing to do would be to send her to Astraea Hill, hoping that the strict atmosphere of Miator would keep her in check.

Sample Post:
It was a day like any other. The sun shone brightly in the clear blue sky. Birds chirped cheerily as they flew amongst the trees. A cool breeze lifted tresses of long pink hair as it passed. Kitsune smiled at the sensation, the soles of her boots clicking softly against the sidewalk as she ran. Normally, the walk home from school was a leisurely one. But today was special. Today, a very dear friend was waiting for her at the house. A friend she hadn’t seen in a very long time. “I can’t wait to see her!” She giggled excitedly to herself.
As she turned the corner onto her street, a sudden uneasiness filled the air. She wasn’t sure what it was, but something just wasn’t right. The feeling grew stronger as she neared the house, the bubbly smile slowly fading into a frown. She could hear the muffled voices of her cousins through the door, which immediately got her on guard. Slowly, she turned the knob, pulling the door open silently. The sight before her made her blood boil.
There, in the corner of the living room, was her dearest friend Kotori, cowering like a frightened puppy. Standing above her were Kitsune’s cousins, Ryota and Maka, the notorious neighborhood bullies. They were taunting the small girl, turning all sorts of painful memories into vicious insults. When Kitsune saw the tears spilling down Kotori’s cheeks, something inside her just...snapped. With a low growl, she approached the two, the sudden appearance of her shadow on the wall immediately alerting them to her presence. They turned around, ready to throw some insults her way. But the look in her eyes stopped them dead in their tracks. The last thing the enraged girl remembered was uttering one last statement. “No one...makes Kotori-chan cry... No one.” And then...everything went black.
