So as you may have noticed, SPRP look a little different. This is because Proboards forced the v5 update on us when we we're least expecting it. But never fear! We're working on things as much as we can, and we've already restored most of the forums back to something similar to what is used to be. There may be a few glitches with plugins here and there so please let us know if you spot anything gone awry!
What does this mean for the site?
Absolutely nothing, really. We can still continue to use the site and make posts as normal! We have had to change some coding though, so please be aware that all the previous stuff from the sidebars is now in the slider tabs that you see on either side of the page. (Thanks to Chie for making the Slider Buttons) But other than that, please continue to enjoy SPRP as normal!
Can we switch back to v4? I liked it better.
Yeah... we liked v4 too. Sadly we can't change back, but we'll get through this together! And I'm sure we'll all learn to love v5 and some of the new features it has. I know it's a shock, and a big change, but it's really not all that bad
Where has the Chatango chat gone?
The Strawberry Chat! Chatango box isn't gone, I swear! It's now at the bottom of the main forum page where it's expanded to meet the width of the forum. Hopefully you'll get used to it's new position, and let us now if it doesn't work for some of you! The Mobile chat is in the "Chat" slider on the left!
What's with the log in system?
Ah, now this is a big question. I was a little surprised myself when I tried to log in and it took me to the main Proboards page. Don't worry, it looks complicated but it's really simple. Here's a guide: Click login and enter the username/password of you MAIN account. It may ask you to confirm your email so make sure it's your primary email account that you can easily access. When you log in for the first time with the new system, it will send you an activation key to the email you gave above which you can copy/paste into the box. That's it! Your main forum account is now upgraded! Continue on to the site!
What if I have more than one account?
If you have more than one account on SPRP, you do not have to repeat the previous steps! In the bottom right corner of your page you should see a tiny toolbar. If you hover over, click on the icon that says "Switch Account". It should take you to a Proboards page titled "Select Account:" and underneath that it will give you the option of your main account that you've already updated, and a guest option. At the bottom of the page should be a list of links. Click the link that says "Link another forum account" enter your username/password for that account and hey presto! All done! Now that it's connected, you can use the "Switch Account" button to easily log in to another SPRP account at any time!
Are there any changes to SPRP rules?
Well due to the forced layout change, and plugins not working as they should sometimes large images get cut off or stretch the board. So although we won't force it (since the image resize plugin SHOULD do that for us) we ask that all images should be no wider than 550px including signature image and/or post templates that you use. Sorry folks!
Well that should be it for now! If you have any more questions that yo feel have not been answered, let us know! Or if youre having problems with any of the new features, PM an admin and we'll try and help you through it
