Receiving the gift made her feel a little self-conscious. Not that she didn't appreciate the gesture. She just wished she had something to give in return. Something other than the cookie (that she didn't bake).
"Eh-heh...well, that's mostly Yukari's handiwork. Actually most of this is Yukari's! I'm just supplying an extra set of hands." she grinned and rubbed the back of her head. Despite being a year older than the other two girls, the first years seemed to be far more comfortable in this setting than if they were to join her in a hockey rink. At least, that's what she would assume.
She accepted the gift and the card from Brigitte. Curiosity was now overtaking those self-conscious feelings and it was written quite clearly across her face. She read the card first and then proceeded to the gift. The process of unwrapping was a quick one.
A Canadiens jersey, and a very nice one at that. True, it wouldn't be the first team jersey she would own, and nor would it be the last. But, it was deserving of special sentiment, given the fact that the older Spican had gone through the trouble of finding it. Coyote beamed excitedly at her gift-bearing friend. "It's awesome! Thanks!!" she made no effort to hide her excitement as she gave a quick hug to the soccer player. Were it not for the impending baking, Coyote would likely have donned it right then and there. She glanced over at the other two girls in the kitchen and took a bit of a sheepish look.
"Ehhh...sorry about that." she said, "I get a little carried away sometiems. Hey! Brigitte! Let's help 'em with those houses!"
She set the jersey on a counter, out of harms way and walked over towards the cat-eared Lulim, "What do ya need me to do?" she asked.

Waving to the newcomer, the pink haired girl smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Brigitte-san!" So, she was on the soccer team? She wondered if Coyote was on the team too; maybe that was where the two friends had met.
Refocusing on the gingerbread house, Kiyoko started piping icing on the base so she could stick the walls on. Every so often, though, she would glance over at the two girls. It seemed Coyote's gift had been a shirt of some kind.
Eventually, she finished assembling the tasty house. Showing the other first year, she said "How's this, Yukari-chan?" Some of the icing had squeezed out a little too far, but over all, Kiyoko didn't think it looked to shabby. She only hoped her work gained the other girl's approval.

Maiko grinned at the insistence of the redheaded artist that her own artwork had to have some beauty to it. She wasn't really very good at drawing, and usually didn't put much effort or thought towards it. Especially when she now knew of two much more gifted artists whose work she was happy enough simply to admire. Having someone who believed in her despite having not seen her works was oddly nice though. Even if the other girl might just be trying to make her feel better. What she picked up on for conversation was something different.
"Yukiko-chan? You mean Kouri Yukiko-chan?" she asked excitedly, wondering if the girl knew her white haired friend. That would be just further proof that the world was smaller than you'd think. Before Yoru could answer Maiko explained, "Yukiko-san is a friend of mine! She's very clever, considerate and a lovely girl."
"The pleasure is mine, Yoru-san," Maiko bowed in her seat to the artist, "So do you have plans for tonight? There's a lot of activities going on, though I can't leave the table to look at everything right now. I'm in charge of this gift wrapping table and our Secret Santa service. So if you forgot to get a gift for someone, we can help you with that!"

"Yukiko-chan? You mean Kouri Yukiko-chan? Yukiko-san is a friend of mine! She's very clever, considerate and a lovely girl."The redhead's eyes lit up when Maiko revealed that she knew Yukiko. But, as usual, the light was gone as quickly as it had come. "Yes, that's her. She's my cousin." Yoru said, smiling slightly. "She and I...were once very close." She felt a small twinge of pain in her heart, recalling the distance that had come between them. The distance she had encouraged. Her hand came to rest on the gift that sat beside her, clinging to the ribbon like it was a lifeline. She was so submerged in her own thoughts, she almost didn't notice Maiko starting to speak again. "The pleasure is mine, Yoru-san. So do you have plans for tonight? There's a lot of activities going on, though I can't leave the table to look at everything right now. I'm in charge of this gift wrapping table and our Secret Santa service. So if you forgot to get a gift for someone, we can help you with that!"Grateful for the distraction, Yoru slowly shook her head. "I don't really have any plans at the moment... I was going to head over to Spica and give Yukiko-chan her gift, but she's likely spending time with her girlfriend, so..." She smiled sheepishly. "I think that can wait." After a moment of thinking, a certain cat-loving girl's face popped into her head. Yukari Iru, the bubbly Lulim she had sort of adopted as a little sister...after being repeatedly forced to tolerate the girl's irritatingly peppy presence. "Although... Now that you mention it, there is someone else I need a gift for. I got so wrapped up in making Yukiko's, I completely forgot about hers."

Yukari was so immersed in her own thoughts, she almost didn't notice the girls speaking to her. "O-Oh, um... Gomen, I got a little lost in thought..." She giggled, giving the girls a sheepish smile. "Anyway... Coyote-san, can you help me move these finished ones to that table over there?" She asked, motioning to the table next to the one that held the cookies. "And then if you could help me decorate a few more, that would be amazing. And Kiyoko-san, that looks wonderful, nya! You can bring it over here and then we'll get started on some more!" She smiled brightly, giving the girl a thumbs up. "I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help, girls... You're the best, nya!" She set the gingerbread house down, wiping her hands with a small towel before returning to the work table. She could only hope she wasn't being too pushy with her directions. She wasn't quite used to being the leader of...well...anything, really.

Maiko wasn't sure how to proceed with Yoru's admission of knowing Yukiko. They had some kind of strain on their relationship, clearly. Without knowing the details of the relationship she couldn't really offer any targeted advice. It was strange to her that the two cousins weren't still close. Yukiko was actually a very friendly person, so how could she and her cousin be at odds? Then she recalled the white haired cousin of Yoru had a difficult relationship with Mariah as well. Things were very tricky when emotions became involved, the slightest misunderstanding capable of tearing friendship asunder.
"Well, there's always time to repair troubled relationships, Yoru-san. I know Yukiko-san fairly well and I don't think she'd want nothing to do with you. I'm sure that whatever once happened isn't greater than the friendship you once had," she offered after some thought, "And it's Christmas, a time when you should be close to family and friends after all. You should talk to her."
"Yes, Yukiko-san has been kind of busy with Atsuko-san lately. It's really nice to see those two find love. I'm really happy that they found each other.. which reminds me, I may have to ask her for that double date soon," Maiko remarked in response to Yoru's discussion of her lack of plans, "But you should still deliver that present to her. I'm sure she'd be happy to hear from you no matter what happened in the past."
Then she added with a grin, "Excellent! A gift for a friend of yours is something I can easily provide, Yoru-san. Now, the question is what kind of gift you want to give her. We have a lot of different things available, but it depends on what kind of thing you think she'd like. That way I can give you a present that'll suit her."

I'm sure that whatever once happened isn't greater than the friendship you once had. And it's Christmas, a time when you should be close to family and friends after all. You should talk to her."The scarlet prince nodded thoughtfully, a sad smile tugging at her lips. "I suppose you've got a point there, Maiko-san... I really should make an effort to talk to her. It's hard to be so distant from someone I was once so close to. Maybe we can work things out... Christmas is a time of miracles, after all." She said, glancing down at the handmade gift that sat beside her. She would eventually head over to Spica to deliver it. But for now, the first thing on her priority list was finding a gift for her neko-loving little sister. "Excellent! A gift for a friend of yours is something I can easily provide, Yoru-san. Now, the question is what kind of gift you want to give her. We have a lot of different things available, but it depends on what kind of thing you think she'd like. That way I can give you a present that'll suit her."Yoru thought about it for a moment before speaking. "Well... I'm not really sure what to give her. She's...kind of a quirky person. Completely obsessed with cats. So I guess something cat-related might be a solid bet." She shrugged. She really wasn't good at the whole 'friendship' thing just yet. Doing things for Yukiko was easy, because Yukiko was family. They had known each other for years. But friends...well, it was safe to say they were a bit more complicated.

"I believe in you, Yoru-san! You sound like you really want to be friends with her again, so I'm sure you can do it," Maiko remarked confidently, giving the redhead a wink. She was in a particularly good mood of late since she'd not only made a couple of really good friends, but found a girlfriend as well. At the moment she hoped that Kagami wouldn't mind that she was working at the Secret Santa table; she'd get off shift when someone else showed up, and then it would be time to deliver her presents.
"Hmm.. quirky girl.. likes cats... give me a moment, Yoru-san. I think we might just have something that will suit your friend's tastes," she responded, looking as deadly serious as a tall girl could when wearing a Santa hat and frilly pink skirt.
She knelt behind her table and sifted through the various gifts that Miator had collected over the past couple of weeks. Maiko had been in charge of the clandestine drive to acquire gifts which other girls could give to their friends. They'd been amassed from sources all across campus, including all three schools. Then Maiko had insisted on sorting out the gifts according to type and size. There had to be some cats in there somewhere. Pushing the jewelry aside she found something that might work, pulling it out of the sack and setting it gingerly on the wrapping table. Afterwards Maiko returned to her seat and smiled at the boyish redhead. What she'd produced was a small plush black cat with a strangely melancholy expression on its face. Like the toy was capable of ennui.
"This little guy was donated by someone in Spica, and he looks like he'd be just quirky enough for your friend. If he's okay, I'll get him wrapped up for you," she offered helpfully, then blushed as she added, "You caught me at the right time, Yoru-san. I'm going to leave the table for a little while when someone else shows up.. I.. I have presents to deliver.. including to my girlfriend.."

"Hmm.. quirky girl.. likes cats... give me a moment, Yoru-san. I think we might just have something that will suit your friend's tastes."Yoru nodded, quietly observing from the sidelines as Maiko began her search. She was quite surprised at how organized everything seemed, though part of her felt that the blue-haired girl very likely had something to do with that. After a few minutes, the girl returned, holding a plush black cat in her hand. The cat had a somewhat melancholy expression on its face, which the redhead found surprisingly endearing. "This little guy was donated by someone in Spica, and he looks like he'd be just quirky enough for your friend. If he's okay, I'll get him wrapped up for you. You caught me at the right time, Yoru-san. I'm going to leave the table for a little while when someone else shows up.. I.. I have presents to deliver.. including to my girlfriend.."Giving the girl a grateful smile, Yoru responded. "He's perfect. Arigato, Maiko-san. I really appreciate your assistance." She said, looking down at the cat with a fond gaze. She knew her little imouto-chan would be very happy to receive him. "And if that's the case, I hope someone shows up soon. I'm sure your girlfriend will be really happy to see you." She felt bad that she didn't have much more to offer the girl, but she had other plans as well. First, she needed to see Yukiko and Yukari. And then...Well, she couldn't deny that she hoped to run in to a certain ivory haired princess as well. The gift she had for her was something quite special, after all. Something her music-loving friend would surely appreciate. Her hand lightly clutched her sketchbook as she thought about the lyrics it held within its pages, a light blush tinting her cheeks.

Keep me safe inside Your arms like towers, Tower over me... The festive holiday was enough to pull Kagami out of her dorm into the Walkways. She sighed happily as she stepped into the room with a beautifully glittering Christmas tree and light string up everywhere. The young woman wore a white dress, white in honor of the season, with pink puffed sleeves. She had a short knit jacket that reached her waist, with pink ballet flats with tiny bows on the toe. Her hair was pushed out of her face with a lace headband and In her hand was a tiny box, which she clutched nervously to her chest. It was wrapped in baby blue paper with a tiny card, that simply read Love always, KagamiShe hadnt had a lot of money to buy presents this year, so instead she had simply bought something small for her dear sister and saved the rest for her dearest; she worried that her gift would add up, that it would somehow fall short. She wanted nothing but the best for her girlfriend, who she so loved. Maiko...The name alone made Kagami blossom with happiness. She walked up to the tree, admiring the beauty the joyful sight emoted. A tiny smile formed on her face as she glanced around the room, looking for the shock of blue hair she so desperately craved to see.

"I'm happy to have been of assistance, Yoru-san. What good would the Secret Santa be if she wasn't capable of helping out other girls in need of gifts?" Maiko grinned as she responded to the redhead's thanks. She blushed a little as she added, "I'm sure that she'll be very happy to see me again. I've been a little busy getting this whole Christmas project organized. Hopefully my gift will make up for that a little."
Maiko smiled as she noticed a bit of rosiness in Yoru's cheeks. She was thinking about someone special too. It was wonderful to see other people feel as warm about something as she had lately. The blue haired girl nearly made a remark about it when a cute brunette girl from Miator came running up to the table, doing her best to keep her Santa hat from falling off. Amusing as it was to see her clutching the hat to her head Maiko's heart soared when she saw the girl. Her relief had finally arrived!
"Su-Suzumi-senpai.. I'm sorry.. I took.. so long," girl apologized, out of breath and using the table to brace herself.
"It's okay, you don't need to hurry. Take the time to really enjoy all the wonderful things the other girls have put together!" Maiko assured her while another girl from Miator came over with water and a towel for the brunette. The new girl nodded to Maiko to show she had a handle on the situation. This made the Secret Santa chief smile joyously as she picked up a bag containing the gifts she intended to give out personally.
"Well Yoru-san, I'm off! I'm sorry we didn't get to talk more, but.. there's a princess waiting for me," Maiko told the redhead, "But remember what I said. Christmas is a time for miracles, and a time to talk to people you care about. I know you can do it!"
With that Maiko was off, a blur of pink and blue. Where would she find the upperclassman who'd so recently claimed her heart? Most likely near the Spica area, she thought, so it was off down the hall first. Despite her rush everything was soon going in slow motion. Slowly she noticed a girl in white and pink, admiring the Christmas tree that had been so carefully decorated. Somewhere in the background Maiko registered a black haired Spica student with a golden sash overseeing some kind of dice game. Her attention was focused solely on the young lady who stood before the tree.
Her rush became a graceful stride as she made her way over to the lovely Spican by the tree. Everything about Kagami made her heart soar. She looked wonderful as always, and Maiko was actually a little jealous of her cute headband. It suited Kagami better, though. Maiko could feel the love radiating from her girlfriend. The very thought of holding Kagami close again warmed her. Maiko's smile appeared once more, pleasant and reassuring as she arrived before her dearest, clutching a rather plain white bag by its handles before her.
"Kagami-chan! You're looking so lovely today! But then you're always lovely," she greeted the girl before reaching into her bag and pulling out a small box wrapped in white paper with a blue snowflake pattern.
It contained the gift Maiko had gotten for her girlfriend. After a lot of thinking she realized that the answer was actually fairly simple. Her friend at Lulim knew some girls who did pottery and commissioned one to make a charm bracelet for Kagami. It wasn't much, but each charm represented something from their short time together. One was a horse meant to look like Lei. Another was a tree of vaguely the same type as the Memory Tree. And a pair of figures dancing made up the final charm. On top was a card which Maiko had made out of folded card stock and drawn a rather poor chibi version of herself smiling with rosy cheeks. Inside it simply read, ~For my beloved Princess~.
"Here! It's Christmas.. so I got you a present," she announced, holding the box out and hoping her guess had been right.

Says she talks to angels, Says they all know her name... Oh yeah, she talks to angels, They call her out by her name.Junko sat somewhat heavily in a chair, looking around at the festivities around her. Even though her heart was a bit heavy Junko couldn't help but admit that she loved what she saw; all the games that her school had set up, the secret Santa organization. She was so proud of the school for pulling off yet another amazing Christmas celebration. A shock of crimson hair made her eyes widden and her a smile bloomed on her face. Whirling around, she grabbed a tiny square on the table and ran to her friend. "Yoru- Kun!" She came up behind her and wrapped her arms around the red heads neck in greeting. "Merry Christmas!" She came up in front of her and smiled, admittedly smaller then normally would have but cheerily none the less. "Here, I made this for you!" She held out the tiny gift, inside was a CD; Junko had gone and recorded herself playing and singing some of her favorite American rock songs: "Stairway to Heaven", "Dream on", "Me and Bobby Mgee". "I hope you like them!" She said. She pointed the side of the disc case where she had written the songs. "I didn't know exactly what you liked, so I just kinda included everything."

Keep me safe inside Your arms like towers, Tower over me... Kagami saw Maiko out of the corner of her eye and turned, eager to greet her dearest. Her eyes lit up like the lights on the tree as she came closer, and Kagami was overcome by beautiful Maiko looked, enlightened by all the lights and the general glow of Christmas. "M-Maiko- Chan!" She stepped forward, joyfully wrapping her arms around her girlfriend, standing on her toes to reach. She held her tightly for several moments, as ever enchanted by the feeling she got from being so close to someone. "Oh... Th-thank you, Maiko- Chan." She said when she pulled back, a blush creeping its way across her cheeks. She smiled shyly up through where her bangs would have been, had it not been for the band keeping them back. "You... You look so pretty, too!" Her eyes widdened as Maiko handed her the tiny box. "F-for me?" She slipped her own gift under her arm and placed the entirety of her attention on her present. Ever so carefully she peeled the paper back and opened the box Kagami gasped as she pulled the tiny bracelet out. It was beautiful, and she took a few minutes to just admire the charms and the meaning they held behind them. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked back up, a smile fully formed on her face. "Oh, it's... It's beautiful, Maiko- Chan! Thank you so much!" Holding her hand out, she blushed again before saying, "could... Could you help me put it on?" After it was securely in her wrist Kagami again admired the adorable bracelet. "I love it so much!" Kagami smiled again as she held her own box out to her beloved. "H-here, Maiko- Chan. Th-this is for you!" Inside the box was a half- sheet of sketch paper, on which Kagami had drawn Maiko and herself, in their winter ball dresses, what Kagami had imagined the two looked like together. She had spent quite a bit of time on it, tossing several attempts before ending with one she was satisfied with. She had laminated it to prevent any smearing and tears. On top of the sketch was a tiny blue hair clip, the gift Kagami had actually purchased with her sisters help. It resembled a bow, with clear blue ribbon and tiny faux crystals. She looked hard at Maiko with a timid smile, hoping she would love the gift as much as she had loved hers. Notes- here's the clip, btw. thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mGUpLtPkvBdJrbmHBMwFGjg.jpg

The redhead slowly made her way down the halls of Spica, smiling at the various students who walked by and wished her happy holidays. That was another thing she loved about this season. It always seemed as though people were much friendlier during the holidays. Even Yoru, the quiet loner, found herself giving seasons greetings to passing girls. After Maiko had gone off to see her sweetheart, Yoru had gone back to her dorm to pick up her guitar (which she would need should she happen to run into a certain ivory princess). Then she had headed off to Spica to drop off her beloved cousin's gift (as well as have a rather emotional talk with her). When the talk was over, the scarlet prince felt as though the weight of the world had been lifted from her shoulders. Maiko had been right. Things were certainly heading in the right direction. Suddenly, a familiar voice reached her ears. "Yoru- Kun! Merry Christmas!"A warm smile tugged at her lips as she felt a pair of slender arms snake around her neck. "Merry Christmas to you too, Junko-san." She laughed softly, setting her guitar case on the ground as the whitenette released her from the embrace and came around to stand before her. She could sense the residual sadness looming in the smaller girl's heart, but that was to be expected in light of recent events. But she didn't have much time to ponder the subject, her slight sadness being replaced by surprise as Junko held out a small gift. "Here, I made this for you! I hope you like them! I didn't know exactly what you liked, so I just kinda included everything."After the initial shock wore off, a bright smile lit up her features. "Junko-san... That's so sweet of you... It's perfect. Thank you so much!" She said, her voice laced with an unusual amount of joy. The fact that Junko had gotten her anything at all was wonderful in and of itself. But the fact that the whitenette had gone through the trouble of making a gift for her made it all the more special. In an uncharacteristic gesture of gratitude, Yoru leaned forward and gave her friend a gentle hug. It was then she remembered her guitar, which was still placed at her feet, and the reason she'd gone to get it in the first place. "I-I...uh...I have something for you too, Junko-san. Well...two things, actually. The first one is this..." She held out a piece of sketchbook paper, which depicted a hand-drawn sketch of the two of them with the words 'Merry Christmas' scribbled messily across the top. Smiling nervously, she directed her gaze to the guitar. "And the second...isn't something I could really wrap..." <-- (OOC: This is what the card would look like... It was just too cute. I couldn't resist. xD)

Says she talks to angels, Says they all know her name... Oh yeah, she talks to angels, They call her out by her name.Junko was genuinely thrilled to see Yoru so happy; the fact that her tiny gift had brought such a smile onto the older girls face was enough to force her sad feelings away, at least for the time being. The whitenette wasn't used to feeling sad, so any excuse to smile and act like her old innocent self was eagerly taken. "I'm so glad you like it!" She said with one of her signature bright smiles. "You've been so nice to me, Yoru- Kun, and I wanted to say thanks." She winked. "And I thought, what better a time then Christmas?" Yorus hug surprised her, but was in no way unwelcome. Junko giggled and hugged her friend back, and it was almost as though she was back to her usual bubbly personality. She had been about to make a comment on how Yorus holiday had been going before the price spoke, mentioning that she had gifts for Junko as well. The underclassman smiled widely again, practically jumping up in excitement. "Really? Oh, but I only made you one gift, Yoru- Kun!" Junko hadn't expected to receive anything in return from her princely friend; her happiness would have completely sufficient for her. But as Yoru handed her the sketch, her eyes widdened and she gave a tiny cry in joy. "Oh, Yoru- Kun, it's amazing! Did you draw this yourself? It's so beautiful! You draw just like me Nee-Nee! Arigato- Gozaimasu!" She followed Yorus eyes to the guitar case on the floor and she squeeled again. "Are you gonna play?!?" She was so energetic and excited, as she held the precious drawing to her chest and looked up with huge bright blue eyes.
