Hair Color: Himiko's hair is a most unremarkable color on its own, being a deep black with a slight bluish tint. She has been known to add a bit of dye to the hair to enhance this hint of blue, though it never lasts more than a week or two. Typically she'll add the extra coloration for special events like balls, major sporting competitions or a hot date.
Hairstyle: Cut at about shoulder blade length and allowed to hang straight most of the time. While Himiko regularly maintains her locks and brushes them, that's about it. She doesn't like to waste time with complicated hairdos. During sports events she'll put her hair up into a messy high ponytail, but otherwise doesn't mess with it.
Eye Color: Steely grey, but look slightly more blue depending on the lighting.
Height: 5'4"
What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform? Like her preferences for hairstyles, Himiko prefers a very low maintenance approach to her wardrobe. She prefers jeans and trousers over skirts, as they let her have freedom of movement with less concern of her clothes getting caught on something. Similarly just a t-shirt or solid colored knit top will do the trick rather than anything fancy. Contrary to the tomboyish image she sometimes projects Himiko also regularly paints her nails, often experimenting with the latest color she's found at the mall. It's not unheard of for Himiko to dress more girly, but she doesn't usually bother so much with it.
What Sports/activities is you character involved in? You may choose "none" or a maximum of three from the list below.
Equestrian Sports: Yes!
Horse name: Kronos, a pure black male Friesian.
Martial Arts: Yes
Choir: Yes
Is your character on the Student Council? - An aspiring leader herself, the best way Himiko can think of to reach the goal is to be involved now. Yes.
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president, Junko Hiruko? President Hiruko's confidence is something Himiko really admires. Her outspoken nature ensures that her opinions are heard, and lends itself well to being a leader of the student body. Himiko is in total awe of Junko's ability to start a conversation with anyone, and tries to follow the exampl that's been set. All in all Himiko believes that Junko is a good president, and is proud to serve on the Student Council under her.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Himiko is by all accounts a fair bit reckless in her approach to almost everything. Careful preparation and planning are not alien to her, but she's prone to overdoing whatever action the plan calls for. She finds a sense of adventure in most things she does, and therefore believes firmly that those things should be zealously enjoyed. Remaining sedentary for too long will cause her mind to wander lest it be given something to focus on. She's a girl of action rather than simply words. For these reasons she loves sports and thrills in being involved in competition.
She usually acts brash and forward with others, unafraid to speak her opinions openly and to greet people she's a stranger to. Himiko highly values honesty and is easily upset by deceit. Emotions are the most honest form of expression, so Himiko strives to show them openly. Whether this is a hearty laugh at someone's joke, a spontaneous hug to someone who seems down or crying at something sad, she refuses to hide them. This can be very unnerving for others.
In competition Himiko is a very determined individual who will continue going on even when it simply seems impossible to succeed. She likes to win, but isn't too broken up when she's lost. It's much more about the pursuit of a goal and showing her skill than an absolute desire to win. That said she will likely do everything possible to win without resorting to underhanded measures. Victory is meaningless when it's achieved in a dity fashion.
If someone can deal with her very open approach to emotions, Himiko will become their friend quickly. Or at least try to. She much prefers to be around people and is secretly afraid of being left alone for extended periods of time. Himiko hasn't always been as brash, emotoinal and confident as she is now. Living in a home with two more successful sisters who overshadowed her drove Himiko to constantly search for something to give meaning to herself. Upon discovering an American science fiction universe, Himiko took inspiration from one of its alien races and made herself become more outgoing. Just as they were a warrior race, she started competing in sports to become a warrior of the athletic field.
All of this aside, Himiko has a soft spot for cute things and they easily distract her. For a girl who's so enthusiastic about sports, her room is remarkably girly and filled with things like stuffed animals. In private Himiko reverts to being more bookish and soft spoken, if still as honestly emotional as ever. Her vision is challenged enough to require the use of glasses, but she'll only wear them in her dorm or otherwise out of the public eye. In public she prefers to wear contacts.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? It all seems a bit blown out of proportion to Himiko. Sure it it's good to encourage friendly competition and close relationships between pairs of girls, but what's so special about the Etoile? To her it's nothing more than something that other girls do.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Though she does dream of being Student Coucil president some day, being an Etoile doesn't really interest her. If a girl close to her wanted to, she might be convinced to change her mind. In that case it'd be more about the other girl than herself.
What does your character think of Shizuka Myuzu and Chokone Manatsu, the current etoiles? Chokone is incredibly cute, which makes Himiko greatly appreciate her even though she's already with someone. As for Shizuka, she respects the girl's achievement of a high station even though she doesn't care for that station herself. Admittedly the girl is pretty, which Himiko greatly admires - she doesn't think she's all that pretty herself.
What does your character think of the other schools? (Miator and Spica are Rivals, but it's up to you if your character feels anything like that toward the other schools.)
Since she can get very competitive herself, the old Miator/Spica rivalry is something Himiko embraces enthusiastically for official functions. She considers herself a warrior for Spica under such circumstances. Individual girls from any school are just as likely to be her friends, however. Lulim seems a little disorganized, but they do have an adventurous spirit to them that Himiko can appreciate.
~History~
Like a number of girls on Astraea Hill Himiko comes from a well off family, and that family life is unremarkably comfortable. Her parents are loving but terribly busy and so she spent more time with her sisters as a child. Prior to attending Spica she was quite a bit of a geek who didn't really care too much about her appearance. She loved reading and developed a hobby in creative writing at an early age. Other girls would make fun of her for these interests, and her sisters weren't much of a help giving her any more self-confidence. One became a teacher and was always so busy she couldn't spend time with Himiko. The other was aloof and self-centered; being seen with her geeky little sister wasn't something she would allow to happen.
Himiko also loved singing and tried to follow in that second older sister's footsteps in becoming an idol singer. When she broached the subject to her sister, Himiko was told in no uncertain terms that she 'wasn't pretty enough' and 'couldn't sing'. Heartbroken, she retreated into her room for several days and refused to talk to anyone. Around then she spent a lot of time watching sci-fi shows and discovered an American TV show called Star Trek. One of the alien races in the show caught her imagination and somehow inspired her to stop hiding herself. Afterwards she started changing how she acted around others, had a more optimistic outlook on life and got involved in sports. Her appearance went from sloppy to well maintained, all in the name of 'being a proper warrior in life'.
Having Himiko interested in school activities was a relief for parents who'd been concerned about their yougnest daughter but unsure how to help her. Anything she wanted to do was encouraged, even equestrian sports. Even if it meant buying her a horse to work with so that she could be part of a team. Her idol singer sister came to her and insisted she'd had a change of heart, that Himiko was cute enough and good enough at singing to take up the art herself. This was actually a gambit to lift up sagging record sales by forming a group with her sister. There was even a test recording session set up. Himiko by this point was more interested in other things, and could tell her sister was lying. When the session happened Himiko spoiled her sister's plan by singing in a fictional alien language rather than what was on the lyrics sheet. Since then Himiko has been happily playing sports and singing with other girls over her own choice. And occasionally speaking the fictional language she taught herself.

Sample Post: "H-how could Ritsu-nee-chan say that? She's terrible!" Himiko sobbed, tears rolling down her cheeks and splashing onto the keyboard of her computer.
Her sister Ristuko had just informed her that she'd never be able to achieve her dream. Himiko had worked tireless hours and days working on her singing, trying get every little last detail right. If she were going to be an idol herself then she'd have to be perfect just like Ritsu was at it. Nothing was out of the question if it meant she might be able to go up on stage and sing her heart out for adoring throngs of people. According to Ritsu none of her efforts would ever result in the achievement of this dream. She wasn't pretty enough - what idol wore glasses anyway? She wasn't a good singer, so she'd probably just end up making people's ears bleed instead of entertaining them. Since then Himiko had been hiding in her room and alternatively contemplating her future and crying. So much crying that her eyes were red.
There wasn't anything she could do right, she thought. All the girls at school said she was weird and either ignored her or openly made fun of her for the things that she loved. Himiko was painfully aware of being unusual and an outsider; everyone said it so it must be true about her. Not even her own sister thought she was worth spending time with. Everyone had left her behind to fade away while they went out and had fun and forgot that Himiko Miyamae even existed. To think about it any more would just make her feel worse, so she decided to try watching something instead. Once more she hit 'play' on her media player program and lost herself in the world of the final frontier. No one would criticize her there. By the end of the episode she was transfixed by the strange bumpy headed aliens featured in the program.
"They're weird.. but they do what they want.. and they seem strong," she thought aloud, then smiled a little, "I.. I'm going to be strong like them!"
