Please explain your character's history in 150 words or more:
History Before Astraea Hill:
Kagami comes from a family who was very well- off financially. Not rich, but certainly not poor. Kagami’s parents always pressured her to be… well, anything but herself. They always tried to reshape her into what they wanted, and when they failed they basically erased her from their lives. Kagami was relentlessly ignored, and when she did get attention from her parents they oh so subtly sold her what a disappointment she was.
The only love Kagami got in her house was from her sister, Junko, who looked up to her and admired her, and from her horse, Lei. Eventually, her parents sent to Astraea basically to get her out of their house.
Life as a student at Astraea: (You may import your history from your previous history section of your student profile, make up a history if you are joining as a teacher and have not role played any real time as a student, or skip this section if your character was not a student on Astraea Hill at any time.
Fourth Year:
Kagamis first year, she joined in the summer. It was rough for her, although she met a couple of friends; the first person she met was another shy, art and horse- loving Spican by the name of Chibiru. Kagami almost immediately admired Chibi, and felt drawn to her.
Then she met Ryoko Abunai, an adorable LeRim who caught Kagamis attention for one simple fact; she was different. Kagami liked that Ryoko wasn’t like everyone else; she went her own way, and Kagami secretly admired her having the courage to do that.
It soon became obvious to Kagami that she was developing feelings for the two of those girls, but she felt torn because she didn’t know what to do. As if that isn’t enough for one person, she also had a run-in with the Spican demon, Shoka Donomoto. She went to meet her (against the advice of Song Daiyu) and Shoka kissed Kagami, causing her to be even more confused and distraught.
When the school year began, Kagami received two surprises; one was the arrival of her sister, Junko, to the schools. The other was that Junko brought her horse, Lei. Kagami was happier then she had been all summer.
And it was all fine, till Christmas, when Chibi, who Kagami still had feeling for, told Kagami she was leaving, leaving Kagami heartbroken and depressed. But that quickly passed, as she reunited with Ryoko, and now Kagami is contemplating her feelings for the adorable Lulim…
Fifth Year:
Kagami returns to her normal school schedual, and quickly learns that Ryoko has disappeared from the school for unknown reasons. Having now had two girls she cared for leave her, Kagami becomes incredibly sad and withdrawn, reverting back to her shy, quiet self. She refrained from making any friends or getting close to anyone out of fear of more heartbreak.
Halfway through the year, Kagami decides to visit the sacred Memory Tree, hoping the place would help her mend her heart. By chance, she meets another girl who was visiting the place, searching for clues from her mothers past. Maiko Suzumi immediately began gently talking with Kagami and quickly the she found herself feeling fond of Maiko. Though terrified of getting hurt again Kagami begins openin herself up to her.
At the winter ball, she and Maiko confess their love and become an official couple. They decide to run for Etoile on Christmas Eve.
Sixth Year:
Maiko and Kagami win the Etoile title, and the year is a magical time filled with romance and joy for the Spican girl. Her confidence and self- esteem begin to go up from her experiences being the Uke Etoile, and of course with the help of her sister and girlfriend. However, during the summer, right before the next Etoile election, Kagami is hit by a car while visiting Maikos Grandmother. She is in a coma for a week or two and when she wakes up, she decides she is tired of living her life afraid and shy about everything. She resigns herself to become the best she can possibly be, and to help others who are in situations similar to what she has gone through.
Sample post:
Kagami sighed as she placed the last of her belongings inside of a leather suitcase; her clothes, a small picture frame with a picture of her and her sister. As she zipped the case closed, she couldn’t help a feeling of sadness washing over her. She was leaving, really leaving; she was being sent away.
She looked around her at the room that had been her safe haven for years; the walls that had once been covered with posters and pictures were now barren, stripped of all their life. It made Kagami extremely sad, but what could she do? She didn’t belong here anymore. Then again, maybe she never did. After all, hadn’t her whole life been spent trying to cater to her parents? Hadnt they always made it perfectly clear that she was sub-par?
She heard her mother calling and sighed once again, grabbing her suitcases and preparing to leave for her new life, where hopefully she would be accepted. She said a short, silent prayer before she left that she would be happy in her new life. She took one last, long, dreamy look at her room, and she was gone.
