Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Yumiko is very quite and hates to be with other people, this mainly stems from the fact that she grew up alone and so holds the belief that friends are unnecessary troubles. She will not work in a team without alot of grumbling first and will then usually proceed not to help out at all. She acts cold and detached, finding conversations a chore and she does her best to avoid encounters. When in a conversation she will try keep her answers short and she never asks questions.
Yumiko enjoys her own company and likes to be outside with nature. She has knowledge of simple Witchcraft from her mother but is not really devoted to the craft. She likes to hunt rabbits in the surrounding forests but always lets them go as she has a strong connection with animals and does not believe in unnecessary killing, even going as far as to nurse animals back to health is she can. Her background in hunting also gave her knowledge of animals and how to help them.
Yumiko follows the religion of Nature and finds the nun's somewhat irritating in their devotion to God. Anything remotely religious in the school leaves her feeling some dry amusement at the fact she is a witch and would probably be dammed by most of the staff if they knew. She does not actively keep it a secret but rarely finds a need to talk about it either. She is also very aware that she will soon inherit a very large sum of money and a business she knows nothing about. It leaves her anxious when she thinks about it causing her to leave the subject alone and even going as far as to try and tell herself she will not grow up out of Astraea hill. She is too afraid to return to a place that was so known to her and to find it unfamiliar and cold.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? She thinks that it's utterly ridiculous that two people feel like they have to 'prove' their love in competition. She feels it is merely there as a competition there for the sake of competition and that it is not a good way to find people to run the school. Secondly, She feels the position would be far better with just one person in the seat of power instead of two, that way decisions would be clean cut.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Unlikely as she would have to like someone enough to do it and she really has no intention of that. Also, she would have to make joint decisions and she doesn't feel like that would help anyone.
What does your character think of Kagami Hiruko and Maiko Suzumi, the current etoiles? She thinks that they're Love is strong but that Maiko should be Etoile on her own. Maiko seems like a strong woman capable of making her own decisions and that Kagami most likely gets in the way.
What does your character think of the other schools? She had little care over petty rivalry. She couldn't be Miator because the Uniform and formality is too ridged for her. She excelled in Sports and so Spica was an obvious choice but she does not hold it in any higher regard than the other two.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
Yumiko was born in England to a Half Japanese Father and an English mother. They lived on a large estate in the middle of no-where. The estate was so Secluded that Yumiko never found any friends except for animals and her parents. Her mother stayed at home and practiced Witchcraft and the worship of nature that was never questioned due to their solitary life. Her Father spent half his time at Home and half at a business somewhere else. When he was home he would take his daughter hunting in their woods and spend hours together out in the open often coming back with a deer or other game that her mother would cook. This upbringing gave Yumiko an excellent standing in Game hunting and a simple knowledge of Witchcraft.
Yumiko's mother became very ill when she was seven and died soon after. This made her even closer to her father and their life continued much as normal.
At the age of 12 in a failed burglary her father was shot dead and the two thieves made a run through the forest. Yumiko grabbed her fathers rifle and hit both men in the legs from an extraordinary range. Apart from this solidifying her talent unprecedented talent at shooting, she also incapacitated the thieves and they were swiftly put in to prison. Yumiko's property was put in the hands of her nearest relative and is to be given back to her when she comes to the age of 16. Until then she is to be placed at Astraea Hill where her Grandmother was schooled.
First Year:
Spent being Home schooled by a Governess.
Second Year:
Third Year:
Fourth Year:
Fifth Year:
Sixth Year:
Sample Post: *Warning: Contains animal death* Yumiko's blood was rushing and she could feel it like a tidal wave crashing over her, adrenaline coursing through her like wildfire. Unlike most though, the feeling caused her arms to still and become solid, her arm bent to steady the rifle and the other other pulled in close with a finger paused on the trigger. The rifle rested by her shoulder that was slack, ready to take the backfire, and she was steady in the tree she lie in, feet firmly on the bark of the trunk and her body face down on a sturdy branch. She narrowed her eye in the lens studying the proud deer some yards away. It seemed so innocent, looking around calmly with black eyes. It was standing so perfectly still, the shot was almost too easy.
Yumiko's breathing was deep and steady as she squeezed the trigger. A deafening shot rattled around forest bouncing off trees and making it's way to the open. Yumiko put the gun back on her back holder and looked at her prize. "That was perfect Yumi!" Her father called up from below her. Yumiko gave a rare smile down to her father and got up to crouching before sliding off the branch and landing catlike in the leaves below. She went over to hug her father and she could feel his pride for her emanating from him. "Your almost better than me!" He joked taking her hand to walk her to the game. "I learn from the best," She said merrily back, taking the lead and all but dragging him to the deer.
It had indeed been a perfect shot and Yumiko was perfectly happy with her performance as they put it on the back of the truck. "I was going to cook Venison steak for you, Like mother used too," She said getting in the passenger seat. Her Fathers eyes grew sad but he kept his smile on. "That sounds wonderful, a good meal before I go away tomorrow. Just don't be stingy with the pepper this time," He replied, his eyes crinkling with amusement. Yumiko sighed at the poor joke and put away her spare rifle cartridges. "I... I'll miss you," She murmured softly, looking out the window. She hated it when her dad left her. She was all alone in that big house excluding servants and governesses that she had little care for. Her Father turned to her and brought her in to a hug. "I will miss you, but you know I will always come back and until then, your mothers spirit will look over you," He said, the words doing little to dull the Pain Yumiko felt. She sniffed and wiped away the tears that threatened to spill. "I know Father," She sighed as the engine started. Rain started to fall as they drove back to Mori Manor.
