Name: Ayano Ijichi (ttalgi)
Age:15
Year in school: Fourth Year
School Attending: St. Spica School
Appearance: Ayano is fairly light skinned, as if she has not spend very much time outside in her lifetime. When she first enrols at the school, she looks beaten down, and has clear bags around her eyes, testament to sleepless nights. As she gets more comfortable, her usual expression of wariness will probably change to one of acceptance.
If she's ever wearing sleves that don't go to her wrists, anyone looking would see scars on her arms, forming a diamond pattern, testament to a time before she came to Spica. The ones near the top of her left wrist are starting to fade, although those on her right arm are still vivid scars.
Hair color: Black with purple streaks and fringe.
Hair style: Simple shoulder length, cut slightly unevenly.
Eye color: Grey
Height: 5' 6"
Dress: Ayano tends to wear long sleeves, even in summer. She doesn't like showing her skin, and is afraid of the reactions she'll get to her scars. Her pants tend to be comfortable, usually either jeans or tracksuit pants.
However, as she gets more comfortable with what's going on, she will probably change the way she dresses.
Personality: Ayano is a quiet and somewhat shy person. She seems constantly wary, and doesn't easily trust people.
However even if she doesn't know someone, and regardless of the consequences for her, Ayano will always help someone who is in trouble. In fact, one could say that she's a sucker for people in distress. This is both a flaw, and a virtue.
However, because she does not easily trust people, she isn't as easily tricked as she could be. However, Ayano does trust animals more than people, and if someone has animals, she's more likely to at least talk to them, if not trust them.
Due to her past, some things will easily startle her, and might leave her wary. However, she makes every effort to not show weakness, so it would be unusual for someone to see her showing worry or surprise.
She can act 'normal', although it is a challenge, considering how messed up everything has been for her.
She's creative, and once would express herself through writing. She hasn't done this in a long time however. But maybe, as she gets more comfortable, she'll start to open the old dusty pages and express her thoughts in the written word once more.
View of the Etoiles: New to the schools, Ayano doesn't really know very much about the Etoiles. However, once she learns about them, she will probably be indifferent, unless they show to have personalities that she can attach too.
Maybe, once she's learned to handle her problems, she might allow herself to grow more interested in the affairs of the Etoiles.
View of other schools: As of yet, Ayano isn't comfortable enough to have formulated any opinions of the schools. She'll start deciding once she's been at Astraea hill for longer.
History: Ayano grew up fairly normally. Her family was upper middle class, and the only thing they wanted was another child. When they had Ayano's little sister Sei, all seemed perfect.
Except for the fact that Sei was prone to getting sick. Very prone. She was at the doctor's at least once a week, and the family paid a lot of medical bills. But they diodn't mind. They loved Sei, and weren't going to give up on her.
So that's why they'd gone on the trip to the doctors. Ayano hadn't gone, as she'd been working on something for a teacher who was due to leave at the end of the term.
She heard about it later, the accident that had killed her parents and baby sister. Then, as there was no family that would take her, she ended up in a home.
From there, she was fostered by a lot of people, never seeming to stay in one place for longer than half a year. Then it all really went to hell. She got fostered by a family, in which the father was abusive (and a rapist).
Sadly enough, she spent the longest at that place, cracking two years.
Then, as luck would have it, she got a way out. A letter from Spica, saying that she had been accepted, as long as she could make it to the school. She packed her things privately, and left, in the middle of the night, with only a knapsack, the clothes on her back, a handfull of crumpled notes and worn coins, and an old picture of her mother, wearing the uniform of Spica, and looking truely happy. No matter what it took, she was determined to make it to spica.
Sample post: Looking up at the massive gates, Ayano could have cried. She was free of that place, and of the abuse that happened there. She was tired, but hopefully they would give her a day to settle in. She walked through the big, imposing gates, looking in wonder at what she saw. There were many girls, all in one of the uniforms. There were the pristine white of Spica. sure the skirts were short, but that was okay, it was better than nothing. There were also girls in yellow and pink uniforms, which looked oddly cute, and then there were... Ayano flinched, seeing the black dresses with the white collars and underskirts. They reminded her of a maid outfit, stirring up memories she would rather not have.
She quickly focused once more on the white uniforms of Spica, the uniform she soon hoped to be wearing. It soothed her, reminding her of days long passed. Apparently, it had always been her mother's intention to send her, and maybe Sei to St Spica, but when she died, everyone conveniently forgot this plan. Except, it seemed, the school itself.
She remembered getting the letter, as it was one of her few bright memories from that place.
She was coming back from school, with a black eye forming from being picked on, when she noticed the snow white envolope in the mail box. It was adressed to her. Nothing was ever adressed to her, or at least nothing she ever recieved. Turning it over, she saw a beautiful seal on blue wax. She placed it carefully into her pocket, as she hoped that it wouldn't be seen and taken from her. She crept up to her room, fortunately the man was drunk, and the woman was in the kitchen. She didn't look again at the barren room, instead, pulled the letter out, and opened it, warily, careful not to tear anything, or break the wax seal.
As she read, tears came to her eyes. The staff at the school remembered her mother, and would like to offer her a position as a student. Apparently, all expenses had been paid, and they were sorry for taking so long to get the acceptance letter to her. It listed when term started, and said that they hoped that she could make it.
Once she'd read it once, she carfully refolded it, and put it into one of her hiding places, not wanting the father to find it. It was her only way out, and she wasn't going to let him touch it.
She still had the letter with her. It wasn't as pristine, and had been read many times over. But that didn't matter. It was still in surprisingly good condition, and very ledgible.
She remembered packing her hings (few as they were) in the middle of the night, and working out how she would get to Astraea Hill until the smallest hours. And then, when all her things were packed, and her plans made, she slipped out, hoping to make a new life for herself. if she stayed on, which she hoped to, she would be eighteen when she left, and the foster family would no longer be her legal guardians.
She walked meekly through the gates, wary of asking for direction to Spica's campus. But then, it didn't really matter, since it was clear that she was new.
But... She'd find it herself. Readjusting the bag on her shoulder, she began to walk towardsthe white building she could see in the near distance. Hopefully from there, she could find the reception office, and the admissions staff.
