What does your character usually wear to class? What does she wear outside of class?
A home-grown girl from only a few miles south of Astrea Hill, Noriko is a very traditional woman, who oft employs herself within typical Japanese dresses with gold or silver floral patterns, with a mix of other colors. Her favorite is violet, and as such, most of her dresses contain a majority of purple in them. She wears much the same inside and outside of class, though special occasions outside of class may call for something more risque, which she has no problem wearing~
Please describe your character's personality in at least 200 words or more:
Witty, charming and surprisingly upbeat, Noriko is a refined woman, who doesn't mind a bit of passion from time to time, though she oft finds herself within peaceful situations. Although agnostic, she respects the Sisters' faith and helps out wherever she can, even outside of her classes. Among adults, she occasionally even turns on the charm, making both witty and playful remarks. However, she isn't often seen actually with anyone, and only her sisters seem to be aware of how she truly tackles the dating scene.
Her upbeat moods do have their counterparts though, and Noriko does have spikes in anxiety when it comes to romance. Her moments of sadness are often crushing when they do come about, and it's not uncommon for her to whisk away to be out of sight - she has trouble opening up during turbulent emotions. Whilst no longer naiive, Noriko does still hold a few, cherished but ultimately out of grasp dreams, particularly of finding her partner in crime - she's a romantic at heart.
She also has a mischievous side, and she's known for surprising her students with her quirky habits, like with her contacts - she normally wears clear ones but, it is not unknown for her to wear vibrant colored contacts to startle her acquaintances and students. Only a few have ever seen her wear her half-moon spectacles.
Was your character a student at Astraea Hill before becoming a staff member?
Noriko was a student of St. Miator's Academy before she became a sensei there.
Please explain your character's history in 150 words or more:
History Before Astraea Hill:
Life as a student at Astraea: An upstanding woman of society, Noriko was the first-born of her siblings, being raised as the 'poster-child' of the Tsuchikami family. This included proper manners, ceremonial practices and many, many lessons on being the 'perfect wife'. However, in retrospect, Noriko developed a very broad view on life and encompasses many unusual virtues into her life, including an open acceptance of non-heterosexual relationships. Realizing this, and that their daughter wouldn't change her mind on it, Noriko's parents decided to enroll her at St. Miator, where she would continue the ceremonial practices, as well as normal academics amongst others her own age. Excelling in the former, her parents never had any qualms about her life at the school, even when she began to withdraw from everyone. Many just assumed she was feeling ill, perhaps taking time to focus on herself. However, it has been rumored she had fallen in love, only to be crushed and proceeded to withdraw.
But she eventually returned with her usual vibrancy, and continued to excel in her 'womanly studies' as her parents would put it.
Years since she became a member of the school staff:
After graduating, she found herself too attached to the homely environment of Astrea Hill, and decided to remain as a teacher, taking on the subject that she had done best at. In her first few years, she studied and worked as a sensei, bringing up a degree on Sociology that is now incorporated into her classes. Her reputation for being vibrant and mischievous didn't disappear, and she became well-known for surprising her students and fellow staff alike, but all in all, she never really came to be close to anyone other than her sisters.
During her sixth year, that started to change - she was well aware of Rin Minigawa's troubled past, and upon seeing her as a sensei, still filled with sorrow, something twinged inside of Noriko, and she broke her usual, casual flirtiness to inquire into the former Etoile's state of mind, hoping to help - she could never resist helping someone who'd shared the pains of the heart. Of course, the common ground led to a stronger interest, but she doubted that the new sensei would turn around and suddenly accept such affection in desperation. Still, she knew what it was like to have it shown at the very least, she'd had her sisters for that, to help her through, and so she attempted to do the same for the former Etoile.
Beyond that, her year seemed to grow dull, as the encounters with Rin had torn open an old wound inside her. A wound whose pain led her to try looking again, just in case; anything was better than feeling that heartbroken again. Which was why she took that chance when she stumbled across the mysterious and lonely-looking blue-haired counsellor at the ball - Hoshiko Suzumiya. She gave the poor woman a bit of a fright at first, but their dancing seemed to ease something inside the both of them. However, they failed to reconnect properly afterwards, when they bumped into one another again during one of the many Astrea Hill events. Perhaps anxiety played its cruel hand again, and dragged them apart. Whatever the case, things were left on a quiet note for them.
Sample post: PAnother sigh escaped her lips. "I know, I know. But it's not like then, and you know that all too well. Still, it's making me nervous as all hell." The other shook her head and grinned; it was amusing to see the regal woman so flustered for once. Noriko narrowed her eyes and glared at her sister. She wasn't taking this seriously, but then again, she never really did. At least not when it came to something like this. "It's rather embarrassing you know. It's not like I have any experience with this. The least you could do is not treat it like some joke."A giggle erupted from her sister and she found herself glaring even more. "Calm down Nori-chan. It's not so bad. Just take it slow and be friendly. Don't make yourself too obvious, but on the same note, don't be too aloof. It's hard to find the balance, but you will find it eventually. Don't be too hard on yourself." It was still strange to be getting advice on this from her younger sister; she was meant to the be the eldest, the most experienced, and yet, in this regard, it was her sister who had all the knowledge.
Splaying her arms wide, she huffed exasperatedly. "Fine fine. I'll try. I just don't want a repeat you know? It wouldn't be for the same reason of course, but still...it hurts."Another giggle, another smile. "Everyone's afraid of getting hurt. But sometimes, it's worth it."
It was time to put the theory into action.
