Etoiles: Star had always wanted to be etoile during her time at Spica but sadly never got the chance before moving. She thinks these students are very lucky to have the opportunity, particularly Sado since she see's a lot of her past self in the seme etoile.
Other schools: Well being the only counsellor on Astraea, Star works with all students from all three of the schools. Of course she favours Spica since it was her old school, but she loves them all equally.
Personality:
Hoshiko is a mature, responsible, and open-minded young woman with a very big heart. Nicknamed "Star" by her old fellow students from England, mostly since Hoshiko literally means "Star Child" and the name stuck to her. Star makes a point of being good and right, striving to always make the best decisions in her life. She despises all kinds of conflict, and believes that everyone should be seen as equals, all as one. But please dont be fooled by her gentleness though, she can be a really tough cookie if you upset her and she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, no matter what it takes.
Due to some past events as a child, Star has a deep-rooted fear of men.... yes I know that sounds strange doesnt it? But its not like "EEEEEP ITS A MALE, RUN FOR IT!" type of thing, she's just very cautious and wary around them. They make her uneasy because she doesnt trust them, and she can understand females much more easily, both in terms of psychology and day-to-day social situations. Star thinks that men are corrupted and untrustworthy... safe to say she's a bit of a feminist
History:
Her family ancestors originated from both Britain (mother's side) and Japan (fathers side). Her mother Maria Lockeheart married her father Jounouchi Suzumiya, and the Suzumiya family had lived in Japan for many years ever since. Star used to attend St Spica when she was younger, but had to transfer out in her Fourth Year, when her family moved to her mothers home country of England. Little Star loved her time at Spica; finding peace and comfort in the safe all-female enviroment, And even though she wasnt the type of person to value popularity she had many friends that looked up to her due to her kind nature. She was terribly sad when she had to leave all of it behind half way through the 4th year.... Now all of her old friends would have long since graduated and left.
Once arriving and being settled in England, she went to UWE University to study a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology alongside a Psychological Cognitive Therapy degree. She did this because she knew she wanted to spend her life helping others and sharing her beliefs on equality. Once she graduated, Star moved back to Japan to take up a job at Astraea Hill as the School Counsellor. Here she is able to carry out her dream, whilst being in the safe haven she loved when she was younger.

Star shivered against the cool autumn wind a she made her way to Astraea Hill. It had taken her a long time to finally get to where she was today, however she had finally reached her goal, to bring ome sort of comfort and hope to the students of Astraea. She knew how troublesome life could be for a growing young girl, especially here where the schools seemed so much in competition with each other. That wasnt the only reason she had picked this for her place of work... it was the one safe haven away from men. Something that made this Hill her own personal paradise was its strict "no man may enter here" rules.
Her family had often moaned at her that she needed to see someone about her 'irrational fear' of men, but Star disagreed wholeheartedly. Whoever heard of a counsellor who needed counselling?? As far as she was concerned, it wasnt a problem. It didnt hinder her day-to-day life, and she was old enough to make her own choices. True this made her somewhat naive in many aspects... but she wasnt clueless.
She had been in love, had her heart broken, and learnt about the hardships of relationships in her own time. Just not with men... she would never admit that though, it didnt look good from her family's point of veiw to be a lesbian. Safe to say her life had its fair share of drama, baggage she dragged along with her. And thus perhaps hypocritical to her job position, she was often pessimistic.
Another reason to escape here, for it had been during her time at St Spica hat she had learnt all these things, from the girls around her. A powder-pink blush coloured her cheeks as she remembered her past 'friendships' with them. Pulling out of her thoughts, she wandered into Miators main atrium and office, where she was to check in. "This is going to be a brand new chapter in my life, A much happier one!"
