"See, I told you I could pull off purple."
Name: Shizuka Myūzu
School Attending: Lulim/ Le Rim
Age/ Year in School: (choose one below)
17/ Sixth Year
~ Appearance ~
Hair Color: A shade of dark blue mixed with the lightest touches of violet make up the tones of Shizuka's hair, darkening further towards the tips.
Hairstyle: With the main section flowing all the way down to her hips, and splaying out wide around her, almost breezing her front when left still. Short locks frame her face in a smeared 'M' shape, with the central threads barely tickling the top of her nose and the outer strands falling down just below her ears.
Eye Color: Much like her hair, Shizuka's eyes are a shade of deep blue, laced with a very dark purple. However, her contacts tend to contract the colors into small rings close to her pupils, giving them a faint circular pattern. While she does actually need glasses, Shizuka often wears contacts instead, finding them much more comfortable and free than always wearing her thin, dark blue-rimmed glasses. However, on the rare occasion, one might see her reading, or simply relaxing in solitude with them on.
Height: 5'11" with her recent growth spurt.
What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform?
Aside from her St. Lulim uniform, consisting of a pink plaid skirt, a peach colored sweater and a red bow around her neck, Shizuka can be seen wearing mostly purple of multiple shades and tones, and even some dark blues, including her pajamas (which are made up of a soft violet silk gown) and her swimwear - very dark blue and purple.
What Clubs is you character involved in?
Book Club: Yes
Is your character on the Student Council?
No, though she has considered it, just as she considered the position of Etoile; it's a lot of responsibility, and it would mean a fair amount of time taken away from her normal studies, and from Chokone, though it would be a pleasant way to do something for her school nonetheless.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Some would call Shizuku bi-polar, for multiple reasons; she has two very distinct personalities, depending on present company. In public, she puts on a bright smile, a light expression and an optimistic outlook and functions in a very carefree and affectionate manner. Friendly, polite and outgoing, she has an energetic air about her. But in private, or with very close friends, she retracts into herself, becoming much more quiet and reclusive, even a tad shy; her true nature one might say. It's when Shizuka is like this that she might forego the contacts and wear her glasses, or turn to her musical outlet to pass the time. Only a few people have seen this side of her since she was little; a couple of childhood friends and her closest friend from her previous school. Even her family have not witnessed Shizuka's more fragile personality for awhile.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
Shizuka views the position of Etoile as something very great, at least in its origins; two girls, entwined in both the position and love, to represent all three schools and bear the responsibilities of the office together. Of course, this particular view wasn't fully developed until she met Chokone Manatsu, whose very similar ideas about the Etoile rubbed off on her. Prior to that, she merely saw it as a position of honour and responsibility, and not much else, aside from the fact that it seems more like a popularity contest than anything else now.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
Very much so, now that Chokone has asked her to and it is her last opportunity to be the Etoile, as well. Holding the position with her lover would be a dream come true, and whilst it means more exposure and responsibility, she sees it as a means to help all three schools, in return for the pleasant times she has had here.
What does your character think of Sado Kagami and Kitsuki Sha, the current etoiles?
Shizuka very much adores Kitsuki Sha - as most people do due to utter cuteness factor. Beyond that though, she realizes she does not really know her, nor the princelike Sado Kagami, aside from all the drama going around the campus, which reflects somewhat poorly on the office.
What does your character think of the other schools?
Spica seems to be very very sporty, a trait she wishes she had, but her graceful-looking body is not quite so when she moves; she is rather awkward at sports, and as such, admires the school that embodies them. On the other hand, she respects Miator's profound history as well.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Lulim.
History before Astraea Hill:
Born in the bustle of Tokyo itself, Shizuka's family had already made a name for themselves with 3 consecutive generations of musical stars, acquiring a considerable fortune. The majority of their money actually sits within a trust fund for the following generation, to help nurture any musical talents that the child or children possessed and to provide for them. Shizuka wasn't the one to break the chain, either; she found an early passion for the flute at the age of 6, and her parents did not withhold their delight. Immediately, she began lessons on a daily basis, with private tutoring on the side so that she could remain at home and spend her time as 'wisely' as possible. Shizuka herself was a fun-loving spirit who didn't mind the excessive work that was being forced upon her, carrying on with a smile on her lips.
But she soon began to crave society, friendship. Her training had her secluded for the most part, aside from her teachers, family and prospective business partners who were looking to promote yet another star. After much discussion, Shizuka convinced her parents to allow her to enroll at a local school, provided she keep up with her musical sessions. It was only 4 months later that her mother suffered a heart attack, pulling out the wind beneath her sails. Shizuka's father began to fall into disarray as he tried to look after his wife and daughter. Eventually, the pressure was impeding his health as well - he suffered from blood pressure spikes and continual migraines. Fearing he might slip up with his daughter's health, he immediately sought after a boarding school to take her in, and quickly came across Astrea Hill.
Shizuka immediately took to St. Lulim's appeal - music was her passion, but she loved to explore and be carefree. Or at least, she had used to. After her mother's health scare, and her father's downward spiral, Shizuka had withdrawn into herself, becoming a meeker, quieter girl who did exactly as she was told, and did everything to help her father cope. Even when she herself wasn't.
And with that, the transfer application went through. It was still a full year before she was taken in, just in time for her 4th year.
Fourth Year: Her first year of schooling at Astrea Hill led to her meeting with her shy but sweet little roommate Noir Lei, and the adorable Chokone Manatsu, both of whom had followed the sound of her flute while she was playing underneath Confession Bridge. Shizuka had quickly taken to both of them - and they seemed to return the interest. Their friendships blossomed quickly, and they had planned to attend the Winter Ball together but sadly, were not able to all go.
As it is now, she's still rather melancholy on the inside, something the other two had been witness to, unlike most people she met. It was beginning to lessen a little, when she had good friends to rely on for companionship, but when she's alone, it still haunts her.
Fifth Year: Her fifth year was turbulent however, as the troubles hidden behind her roommate's quiet facade became more evident. Shizuka spent much of her spare time trying to make sure nothing came of Noir's depressive spirals. So much so that between that, and Chokone's wavering health, she barely saw the little second year for quite a while. Not until a fateful reunion at the place of their meeting - the confession bridge. Playing her flute, like the time before, they bumped into each other and once the emotions tumbled out before them, the two awkwardly cleared the uncomfortable situation between them and tried anew to rekindle their friendship, and the deeper emotions that they both seemed to hold.
Emotions that were only furthered by a twist of events; Cho slipped and fell, resulting in minor but still worrying injuries. Injuries that Shizuka offered to keep an eye on by staying over at the Manatsu mansion, a place where her shy side was brought out, and the pair talked avidly about the Etoile position, what it once was and what it had come to be. Even so far as Chokone's dream to be Etoile....a dream they now pursue together, after an awkward but nonetheless heart-warming confession.

Sample Post:
Ice-cold drops dripped down on her, slipping from the fresh-green leaves of the tree she had stopped under. The light rain had stopped moments ago, though she remained in the shaded shelter beneath it for longer, reminiscing in a blurry haze. Images, colors and sounds melded together, whipping past her vision as she touched one frail hand to the trunk of the tree. The bark was surprisingly soft, leaving her hand unscathed as she brushed up along the staining on it, thinking back to the small garden alcove she used to practice in, where everything else but her music faded away. But that was a distant memory now, a piece of her past she had to put away now that she was to attend a new school. A boarding school, at that; a new home, a new life. Hoping to find a similar spot of respite, the violet-haired girl slowly resumed her gradual trudging to the top of the hill, the towering buildings of the school and its dorms already looming overhead. In some ways, it seemed almost as if she were approaching a prison of sorts.
But she was doing this for her father, her mother. One was on their deathbed, the other falling ill themselves because of the stress and grief. She would do what she could to ease those burdens and keep her chin up. Besides, she always had her music to fall back to if the walls closed in on her. Blinking away the tears that threatened to well up over her eyes, Shizuka pushed forward, a soft smile on her face, and approached the place she was meant to call home for the next few years.
