(Pardon if it seems hard to reply to, but I'm still getting used to writing in role play format instead of my novel format.)
Black hair peeked itself out from near a clearing, seeking a spot by the pond to be by itself. The black hair, one should know, was attached to a student from Le Rim. Not the most talkative, or the biggest standout, but by no means the quiet one of the school. Today though, she wasn't in her niche. No, today was a day to relax. This pond held such a great vibe of tranquility to it that she was drawn to it the second she got to the school for the first time. Yes, it was her fourth year here, and she hadn't gotten much chance to just lay around, relax and enjoy the day. Her day was today. Or at least, it would have been today. There was a rain starting, and as quickly as it gathered and fell, she was underneath a large tree. The heavy autumn leaves were making it hard to find any shelter from the rain out here, but determination is what got her to where she was right now. By that, of course, was meant that she rarely left the dorms to do anything but go to school. Her mind set on staying, she grabbed her school bag and began to set things up. One branch hooked to this strap, the trunk wrapped with that part, and a makeshift tarp was born. She was already drenched from the rain, but now at least it wouldn't hit her as much. With an accomplished sigh, she leaned back against the tree one more, and watched the pond's rippled motions as the rain water met the still water. It was actually very relaxing. Now, as she lay there watching what a beautiful day almost was, her mind began to ponder over a number of questions. Where was the Student Council? Why had the past three years been all about school work? Why had she never come to this pond before? Most importantly however, was why she was here now. "Odd twist to a relaxing day. Eh... Seen worse. I won't let a little rain get to me." A little, while it may be an understatement, had fit how her mind perceived it perfectly. Smoke and mirrors absent from her personality, unless questioned about her family. Other than her own mind, nobody really benefited from that information. Though that wasn't what she came out here to do. Today, a day of relaxation, should not be clouded by memories and schoolwork. With her eyes turned to the pond once more, and her smile returning, Arceia spaced into her own little world. Obliviousness to who may be around the corner wasn't a good thing, but it may not be bad either. But what are the chances of somebody coming by, in this rain?

Out amongst the soft pattering sound of rainfall was the sound of a small girl humming. She too was a fourth year, but she looked more like a first. She held a stick in her dainty hand and was poking at something, a something that most girls would scream and cry at the sight of...a dead frog. She poked it and it turned over, it's body stiff and a few maggots wriggled in it's skin.
"Ew.."She said, curling her lip a little, large brown eyes blinking as she leaned in for a closer look. The rain had already drenched her long yellow pigtails and the ribbons that held them in place, but she didn't seem to notice. Then she heard a voice coming from the other side of a nearby tree, stick and from forgotten, she wandered around to see who it was.
Noting the dark-haired girl, she tilted her head to the side, "Whatcha' doin' in there?" she smiled, oblivious to the obvious answer to her question. Her clothes clung to her form showing of the minuscule curves that dry clothes seemed to hide. her form was so thin, it was hard to tell that she did indeed have breasts and hips when she was fully clothed.
"I'm Chiyo," she bowed, taking the initiative to slip into the makeshift tarp with the other girl, "and you are?" She smelled of cinnamon and roses, her tiny body seemed to fragile, and yet the cold didn't seem to bother her one bit as her large eyes blinked innocently, patently observing the other girl.

Wow, somebody was actually out in this weather? Arceia herself hadn't even planned to be, but it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen to have some company. After all, she never really did much socialization outside picking groups in class. "I'm taking a little breather. Haven't been able to just sit around since I came here, and I'm a fourth year now." Her jet eyes locked into this guests', and the first thing she noticed about the other girl was her expression. It was hard to find eyes that honest or curious anymore. Her body moved by itself, almost as if reflex to allow Chiyo some room. This girl's features were very similar to her own. Though a noted difference was her face was much fuller, whereas Arceia was very pale. First impression of this new face in her presence was savory, as not often are first encounters so nonchalant. Neither girl, at least in her perspective, seemed at all nervous about meeting someone new. Though if Chiyo didn't speak first, it probably wouldn't have happened. That was her one insecurity, leaving a bad first impression. From the way the rain was falling, it seemed as though her dark hair were blended into the scenery. The rain would drip down from it, and vanish. It left not a spot on her already soaked clothing, and barely even showed on her hair as the color would not darken from moisture. "I'm Arceia. Nice to meet you, Chiyo. Mind if I ask why you're out in this weather?" The tree behind them was already fairly wet, making it almost fruitless to have the tarp up anyway. But, it kept rain from getting on the rest of them, so it was fine. Those hands that set up the tarp now found a resting place wrapped around her upward turned knees. She probably looked like any stereotypical 'upset-girl-alone-outside-in-the-rain' right now, though it was really just to save space and keep the rest of her body out of the rain.

"Well," the girl said, picking up another stick next to her boot, "I was looking for bugs, but instead I found a dead frog by the lake, it had maggots in it." She paused to notice a daddy-long-leg crawling up the tarp and let it walk onto her stick. The tiny creature paused and waved one of it's leg around as if it were waving at them, then she let it walk off onto the ground just under the tarp, "Kinda weird how things like this are like us, I mean, she just wants to be dry too."
Chiyo was oblivious to the fact that the other girl may have been disgusted by the spider, in truth, she didn't understand why girls were afraid of frogs and spiders, rats, mice and whatnot, she found them fascinating if not beautiful. The glistening pentagram around her neck had already put off many of the girl who had seen her that morning, this was, after all, a catholic school. She knew that later she'd have to hide it, lest it be taken by the Nuns who ran the school.
Suddenly she was embarrassed and clasp the necklace, a light pink blush covering her features, "So, um.."she thought up something to distract herself, "I'm a fourth year too, why'd you get sent to Le Rim? 'The School for future mothers and housewives'." She rolled her eyes, "My parents were worried about the way I dress and the things I like, and EEEKK!" She suddenly scrambled onto the other girl's lap, smacking at her bare legs. A high-pitched buzzing could be heard from all directions, "Noo!" Chiyo waved her arms around and sucessfully knocked over the tarp and ran a few feet away, dragging Arcia behind her, And stared at the mess (the daddy-long leg inched away from the pile very annoyed) "I hate mosquitoes," she said, voice shaking and she looked at the other girl, eyes shining a bit with frightened tears.
One thing was sure this girl sure was strange, one minute she said she thought bugs were cool, the next, running and crying from mosquitoes. She held the other girl's hand tightly but then let go, "Hey, it stopped raining," she said holding the hand up to feel for droplets. "Um..sorry about your tarp.." She inched toward it, then stopped, "um..."she froze and looked back at the taller girl..."I'd get it but..um...there could be more..and I....uhm.." she blushed hard and looked at her feet, her short black boots squeaking as she rubbed the toes together, her fingers twisting before her in embarrassment.

Bugs? Dead frog? Maggots? This was by no means somebody Arceia thought would be out in the rain. Though it had apparently stopped sometime between Chiyo's monologue and when she'd started spazzing, for lack of a better word, over a mosquito. How could Arceia provide sufficient replies to keep Chiyo interested in the conversation? Though being dragged away from the tree was not exactly planned, somehow there had to be something she could say that wouldn't make Chiyo leave. For once, she didn't want to be by herself. "You sure are interesting, Chiyo. I don't see many people as dynamic as you around here." The rain had indeed stopped, which was pleasing, and that fresh scent of wet grass just gripped her senses and tucked her into a content little ball. Metaphorically speaking, of course. "What was it you asked? How I ended up going here?" That wasn't even really something that she thought about. Though looking back at it, she could certainly see a lot of reasons as to go here, in place of Miator or Spica. "Well, I was adopted by a fairly average family when I was little. They believed a lot in sexist roles for men and women, so I guess that might be why. Between you and me though, I picked Le Rim myself beforehand, because of how laid back I'd heard the atmosphere here is." Of course, that didn't cover the fact that most of the time, the girls from laid back schools often had a more vibrant beauty, but why would she explain something like that? A few things were still digging at her though, and she decided to ask about them. "Not to change the subject so much, but have you noticed the Student Council has kind of... Vanished? Not only that, but have you been given a room mate? I've had an empty room for my whole time here." She probably could have sounded a tad bit less concerned or anxious, but that was out of her control. She was confused about Student Council, and anxious that maybe this would be the year she got a room mate. Since she didn't know if Chiyo was rooming with someone or not, she tried asking in a less obvious way than saying 'Want to room with me?" and probably failed at being subtle. If there was something else that she didn't quite cover in replying, it was either because the smell of cinnamon finally overpowered the smell of the rain, or because she was busy dusting off her sleeves and skirt while standing again after being dragged away from the tree. Arceia wasn't the type to intentionally not answer a question or reply to a statement.

"Mmmnn nope." She said, turning on her heel, eyes suddenly beaming, "But you could be her!" Her hands now were held behind her back as she smiled up at Arcia. She giggled but the laughed ebbed when she mentioned the missing council.
"Vanished?" Her mouth twisted slightly and her gaze at the other girl turned sideways, "they just had a meeting this morning, I heard the Etoile was absent again. Ever since the year started she's been avoiding all the meetings, I wonder why..." she looked around as if hoping to spot the Etoile, "Anyway, the council is looking for new members, you should join, ha," she play-punched the taller girls arm, "you could do it."
It seemed the whole fiasco that had taken place only seconds before had been forgotten as she carefully approached the tarp, "we should go look in the dorms, I haven't been there yet." She poked the tarp with yet another found stick and listened for buzzing.

"Me? Really?" She was responding to two of Chiyo's statements. Personally, Arceia didn't think she had what it takes to be on Student Council. As for being room mates, she was just astonished that somebody actually seemed that she wanted to room with her. She wasn't the social butterfly after all. "I'm not the kind of girl who really stands out that much... I have this problem with leading groups and putting my word in on things. I'm not sure why, but making the first move never comes naturally to me." Though, one thing did strike her as both odd and interesting. This whole time talking about Student Council, she actually started liking the idea. Maybe it just took somebody to believe in her. Though there was still the matter of the tarp. "I'll take care of this, and then we can head to the dorms and see. I'd love it if we ended up rooming together. And thank you for the motivational talk. I just might try for Student Council after all." A fold here, a tuck there, and the tarp was stored away once more. There wasn't anything too bad in it. A few dead mosquitoes that were crushed when it flung over because they wouldn't leave the water gathered on top of it. All around, it was just as it should have been. In one piece. "Hmm... I've never even met the Etoile, strangely enough. I've always heard there are two of them though. The way you talk makes it sound like there's only one. Maybe that has something to do with it?" Pleasant conversation about the Etoile was a great way to kill time walking to the dorms. Arceia waited for Chiyo to join her before they would depart for the building though.

"You're welcome," she replied, walking with her, "Yeah," she said in reply to her observation about the Etoile, "There should be, but something happened to the other girl, there was rumor that there was an accident, but she probably just transferred out or something. I wonder who will run this year, I can't picture anyone taking Rin-Onee-sama's place-wait you haven't seen her?" She was a bit dumbfounded for a moment, then mused, "Well she is rather elusive...haha."
The breeze was crisp, nice and relaxing as they strolled through the sparkling grass up toward the dorm. "Trust me, you'll know her when you see her though, she's gorgous and holds herself like royalty. I could never to that." She kicked a rock across the path and it scuttled a few feet before coming to a stop. Her brown eyes blinked in thought as she fell silent.
She had a crush on the missing Etoile Partner for a long time, and she knew what had happened to the poor girl. Though she had accepted the loss when that girl was clearly in love with Rin, it was hard to lose her a second time to death. Rin herself didn't know Chiyo existed much less her one-sided knowledge and interaction with her lost partnter. Since then, she hadn't put much thought into a new romance, but, as she stole a glance at her new friend, she guess there was plenty of time to start anew.
(short I know...low muse)
