Instead of following the girl all the way to the Student Council room to discuss whatever was necessary, the Etoile did the usual. She slipped away from the other girl to her favorite place. The Green House. She picked up an apron and tied it over her uniform and then grabbed a nearby watering can.
Ever since she had died, Rin had stopped doing her Etoile Duties. She simply no longer cared, all her inspiration for doing her best for the school had gone with her. She watched the drops of water sit on the petals and carefully moved alone to the next one. Sure, it was irresponsible of her, but she didn't care about that either. Who cared about how the school was run? It could run itself without her. Just as she had to keep "running" without her partner.
She stopped watering as she realized a plant that was ready to be re-potted/ She put the watering can down, found her gloves, and went to work. These flowers were so much more simple than the ones that spoke, endlessly arguing in the council room. And speaking of flowers, her thoughts drifted to her room-mate. Who knew she'd be paired with such a cute girl, but then perhaps it was wise for the school to put the American Exchange Student with the Etoile. Perhaps they figured she would show her the ropes, give her a tour, explain how things worked.
Perhaps she would, but not after a few hours of avoiding the meeting had passed.
A name of hebrew decent. It may not have seemed exotic to Rachel, but to the Japanese students here, it was. Meaning, like a lamb...and so she was.
"Hum..." sighed Rin as she secured the flower into it's new pot and took up the watering can once more, "my little lamb indeed, and I shall be your lion..."
