Name: Natsume, Chigusa {Last, First} <Strawberries>
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Year in school:
Fourth Year
School Attending: St. Miator Girls' Academy
Partner: None
Roommate: None (yet)
Appearance: Of a dainty stature, Chigusa stands at 145cm (approx. 4’ 9”) consequently she appears quite childish as a result. Her appearance is something of a soft spot on her conscious as she is rather self conscious of the fact that whilst she may be quite short. When sitting, she often becomes level with others as her torso is elongated as opposed to most people who have long legs. She can be viewed as fairly strange in that her attire is somewhat different than typical when she is given the choice to be creative with it; (she has the hardest time with the school uniform because she likes to wear cute accessories).
Hair color: Cranberry Red
Hair style: Of fair length Chigusa’s hair falls just between her shoulder blades. She is prone to putting it up in various ways such as a pony tail or pigtails, braids or simply leaving it down to hang over one shoulder. Her bangs are cut in such a way that they fan out over her forehead and taper to a point at the center just about to the middle of her nose. Along the sides, her hair is layered and curls inwards to frame her face.
Eye color: Blue Gray
Height: 145cm
Dress: When upon school grounds Chigusa dons the Miator school uniform; and rarely anything else unless she can get away with it. In those cases, she is quite fond of cute clothes and is prone to accessorize with various sentimental trinkets and handmade jewelry.
glasses: No
Personality: Throughout her life, Chigusa is known to be fairly clumsy, and is prone to trip upon practically anything, regardless of how it may appear. Whilst prone to accident, her mishaps have miraculously done little if any true damage to herself, though they often place her into trouble situations, she usually comes out relatively unharmed. Her brother has often made the claim that her clumsiness is truly blessed despite her protests. She can also appear somewhat clueless, as she misses some things that are obvious to everyone else; she has been called dense in the past despite her eagerness to learn and somewhat proficient skills with some school curriculum.
Sincere, innocent and kind; Chigusa is always praying for the safety of her loved ones and for good days to come. She is quick to take responsibility, and puts everybody above herself without question. She is brave and quick to do what she believes is right, but she is not very self-confident, whilst courageous she is also prone to scare easily, shivering at even the slightest mention of something scary. Chigusa is also very self-conscious and wishes she were more of a spectacular person, as she has been known as the ‘noodle girl’ since she was four years old, she knows that there is likely no chance for her to become anything other than the daughter of a noodle shop owner. A clear difference between her and most people is that Chigusa is very accepting of differences and change, whether or not she likes them, whilst others may try to hide or avoid them.
Once you have come to know more, Chigusa begins to show more of the negative aspects of her selflessness. Because she does not want people to worry or keep their minds from their goal, she hides all her suffering and burden, bearing them all alone never once showing anything but a smile. This, however, also works against her, as she is quite emotional and apt to cry at even something as trivial as a sad movie. Whilst her passive tendency to keep her problems bottled up often concerns others, feeling they cannot help her, from Chigusa's perspective, she feels that worrying anyone or showing something odd is just not appropriate as she wants nothing more than for everyone to be happy. In this fashion, Chigusa is a strong pacifist and quite compassionate for even the smallest of things. It would be entirely impossible for her to harm a single creature without feeling terrible about it for weeks afterward.
Chigusa is a very mature young woman, despite how childish she may appear. She was brought up with the knowledge that life can sometimes be difficult and has gained from that a truly selfless nature towards anyone who needs a helping hand. Truly one could never find a girl with a more sunny personality; Chigusa is always warm towards others and is quite happy to simply be in the company of others as one of her greatest fears is to be completely alone for too long. This does not mean she is without the desire for alone time. Being somewhat of a day dreamer Chigusa is often prone to wandering off towards what interests her as she is a total sucker for beauty and anything that is remotely cute or adorable. These bouts of aimless wandering tend to be quite hard to catch as she seems to simply disappear from conversation or presence before anyone can catch where she has wandered off to; rather like a cat in that she can leave without being noticed right off. She dreams of the happiness that she hopes to find one day and is quite content to simply be – rarely thinking about the future in more than a frivolous way. Being an artist, there are times when Chigusa secures time by herself when she can surround herself in nature and simply draw. Whilst not terribly talented in any one field, she is quite passionate about art and of music though she has no skill with any instrument.
History: Born into the home of Takeshi and Yoko Natsume, Chigusa was their second child to her elder brother Seiji. From a young age, Chigusa had always accepted that her family was not particularly rich, nor particularly poor, and with this in mind she had made the decision to find a ‘daily blessing’ or good thing that had happened in a day which made her life so wonderful. Her parents owned and operated a ramen shop which held most of Chigusa’s childhood memories. She grew up within a simple home with parents who were kind, however it was upon her thirteenth birthday that things began to take a turn for the worse. Business within their shop was beginning to drop in number and their lifestyle was suffering because of it. With worries of losing the store; Chigusa watched as her parents tried to pretend that everything was alright.
One day; after Chigusa had arrived home from school, she had come to find that her aunt had arrived as well. Having never been too close to relatives, the visit was strange. Chigusa didn’t think anything of it. They ate dinner and promptly; both children were sent to their rooms while the adults spoke in the living room. Once every month for the next two years it was to be expected that their aunt, Ms. Suzuhara Himiko; who was, as far as they knew, a quite successful woman with a rather extravagant mansion. In these years, Chigusa wondered what her parents spoke of those days when her aunt would arrive, and how magically their financial trouble all but disappeared from her parent’s minds. Her brother, Seiji; who was quite knowledgeable and by no means a fool suspected that a deal had been made between them though he remained silent upon the matter. The day of Chigusa’s fifteenth birthday, her aunt arrived again, with news most shocking.
Her parents had indeed been in a terrible fix, with need for money as their shop suffered and as Seiji needed funding for college endeavors they had called upon Takeshi’s sister - who had always been lucky with money. They pleaded that she help them, and was obliged with one condition; Chigusa was to be taken under her Aunt’s wing and taught in the best school for young ladies with the hope that Chigusa would be able to secure a match with a wealthy husband and save her parents from their poverty. This was constantly debated in their various meetings as they were unsure of how it would effect their daughter to be sent away when she was viewed as being so young. Finally, they had agreed to the deal. With a new year of school around the corner, she was to be enrolled at St. Miator Girl's Academy and begin as soon as she arrived. As this was indeed that day, Chigusa could hardly believe what her parents had planned. Unsure how to take this news, Chigusa simply packed her bags and bid farewell to her parents and brother as he prepared for college. Now she is to enter into St. Miator Girl’s Academy for the first time as a transfer student.
