" Thank you.."
She spoke out softly yet it was sincere. As Jessie took a look at the small braid decoration in her hand. Rubbing her thumb over it she turned to kneel to face the snowy angel that lay. She would probably have to talk to Alice about her worries.. But maybe not right when Alice recovered it could wait till Alice was fully recovered.
Taking the braid loosely in her hand she tied the decoration into the little braid. Looking at it she smiled. " When did you first teach her ? "
Sitting back down holding the girls hand again she covered up again. She wasn't worried per say but now she was really hoping the girl would wake up from her slumber..only so that Jessie knew she was okay. " Alice told me it was you who first did her braids.. Why braids ? "
She laid her head back against the bare shoulder of Alice not on purpose but more that her head wouldn't stay up that and if Alice did stir away Jessie could feel it even if she was asleep, though she planned to not sleep things do happen. Looking back to Kustumari she gave a soft yet unwantedly tired smile to the girl.

The elegant black haired girl blinked then made a sound equivalent to a childish scoff. "Oh, that little thing?" She clarified with a betraying chuckle. She settled herself back down on the floor and pulled the blanket up and over her now angled legs. Alice might not be fond of having her braids touched by anyone other than Kutsumari herself, but being unconscious, it wasn't like she would know.
"We were little when I taught it to her. I wanted so badly to touch her hair and braid it like the maids at the Kakuya mansion and my mother often did to the front of mine. Plus, she lost a bet." There was a brief silence as she thought for a moment. "I thought they'd look nice in her hair, not to mention tidy and professional as she likes to keep it. Her mother never really did it for her. Ah, I guess I just kind of wanted to get on her nerves too, haha."
Smiling herself, she added more triumphantly: "And till this day she still only really lets me mess with them or touch them." Hate her as she did, Kutsumari wouldn't ever let go of that teasing soft spot in her rival.

" you won't have to worry about me.. I can't do much with hair at all so I won't try to take away your fun. "
It was true , hair wasn't her strong suit sure her mother had combed it every night and morning, she had even put a black big bow in it one or twice but her mother always just kept it out reminding Jessie how beautiful it was every day.. But when her mother was gone and her father had cut her hair she didn't really know what to do with it, and she still feared anyone touching it...other then Alice that is.
Fiddling with the ends of her own pink locks she gazed back up to Kustumari. " I admire you doing that .. Some how braiding and playing with hair seems to connect people "
Shrugging at her own comment she slightly chuckles " What was the bet ?"
She asked slightly lost in thought as she fiddled with her own hair with her free hand . Smiling to her self.. Didn't Alice owe her a braid ah Jessie couldn't really remember.

The pink haired girl's words made Kutsumari smile a little, yet at the same time drew some curiosity. She brushed it away and looked at the pink hair. Such an interesting color.
"It's almost equivalent to something personal. Like, intimate, but not in a romantic way." She agreed. "After all, hair is sensitive and some people take pride and great happiness in it. Dear Alice uses her braids to express her emotions actually, sometimes. If she only puts one in on one side, then she's having a bad day or she's not in a very good mood..." She stroked one of her long drill-like twin tails thoughtfully as she spoke. She could never cut hers.
The bet was mentioned, bringing a smirk to the black widow's lips. "Don't tell her I told you, but the bet was that if she could go up on to the roof through the attic and shout she that she loved me more than any girl in the world - ah, clearly, she didn't and we hated each other - then I wouldn't be allowed to ever touch her hair. She could shout that no problem, even if she didn't mean it. The attic didn't scare her, but when she got out onto the roof, she froze up. Never thought a spider would hold a secret fear of heights!"
The shadow spider giggled, but it gradually lulled into a more serious quietness. Never had she ever seen the prideful widow so startled by something that she froze herself in her own ice. Kutsumari remembered watching her expression; her stance. Everything had just been so rigid and pale. She had apparently gripped the lattice railing so tight she'd split her knuckles, too, although it wouldn't be felt. Alice had long since pushed the memory out of her head, yet it had made her realize how much she hated the rival black widow and that significant heights were not her forte.
Kutsumari remained quiet for a moment longer, her scarlet eyes glazed over in a sort of melancholic, reminiscent film. She blinked and shook her head. "Has Alice ever braided your hair? It's lovely, by the way..."

What was said actually surprised Jessie...was that why Alice was so uneasy on the rollercoaster, guilt began to fill her again but she shook it away slightly as she thought of how Alice had seemed to have had fun, or at least may have a little. Though Jessie will have to remember this.. Now that she knew what happened back at America... Only made this fact more surprising. Jessie never was afraid of heights she enjoyed them to a point, she had weakened memories of her family going to a circus.. One of mothers friends was an acrobat if memory serves. Acrobat...bat.. " bats live in high places that must be why she was so scared.."
The thought wasn't meant to leave her lips but ah well. Then a question about her own hair was asked. Blinking she stopped fiddling with it look up at the black cat. " not yet . "
A nod shake of the head followed up with her words " At first it was to short..actually. She may have.. It was the first day we met again after... After she had bit me but it wasn't tied at the end..and now its far longer she hasn't. "
Her words began to drift into a story on accident " though.. Its hard when she understands my fear ... I dont my hair touched it is actually a fear.. My father...pulled mine back forcefully and wacked it off..it was the start of my ' male ' teachings. "
Blinking she spoke again " But I trust Alice.. And I trust you rival or not...but Kustumari..why shout that she loves you... Do you..did you love her ? "

"Maybe so..." She trailed off.
She listened politely as the other spoke. So Jessie had had shorter hair the first time Alice had attempted a braid in it. And Alice had bitten Jessie once. That wasn't unexpected, but it surprised the black widow a little because...well, because the pink haired girl was still here with the snowy girl. And in a relationship with her, too. But that wasn't what caught the girl's full attention. Jessie's hair had been cut...forcefully by her father. And she'd been forced to act and appear like a male despite being a girl. Kutsumari didn't know the full details, but the story twisted her heart painfully. The girl a fear made sense. "Oh my... I... I'm so sorry that happened to you, poor dear. I hope you're alright now, even if just a little... That's terrible."
Her words were woolen sincerely. This poor girl. She was curious and wanted for her to elaborate on the male teachings, but didn't want to be rude nor possibly bring up any bad memories right now. The tomboy seemed like she had already so much troubling thoughts on her mind anyways, and adding to it would only harm her. A warm blush shuddered over her cheeks at the question that was asked next of her. She gave kind of a nervous laugh and turned her head, a slight tsundere look crossing over her pale features.
"I wonder, did I?" She mused indirectly, trying to brush the embarrassing question off. The burning heat on her face only increased and sapped away her haughty confidence and voice. "I hated her so much, and I still do... But...I suppose I did, once. That's why I tease her and hit her a lot; it's the only way I can get close to her, even if just for a moment, besides out of our rivalry... She shattered me like every other girl who came into her web, but...," she twirled awkwardly at a strand of hair, "...I'm glad she did."
Even if Alice had loved her in return, their relationship would have been venomous. Two rival widows trying to weave a broken romance with nothing but strands of venom and ice. The resulting web wouldn't hold very well if not at all... They were destined rivals, anyways, not lovers.
Shaking the thoughts from her head, she parted her lipstick-painted lips to speak again, averting her gaze from both Jessie and the unconscious Alice, "Hey, why did you come back to her...after she bit you? Most wouldn't have..."

She listened to the girl across from her before she said only once " like my hair I have grown.. I am fine now."
The bite .. Truthfully Jessie didn't think of it at all anymore. It was rather hard to remember much of it.. Other then the taste of blood that had been accidently drawn. Why did she forgive so easily, though shed gotten mad at Alice on the day she still didn't give up on her...why though , why at that time ? " I guess..."
Her words drifted in the huge room as she gathered her thoughts. " I guess its because that the bite... Wasn't much at all..."
Shed gotten abused by her father plenty of times. Letting her free hand wonder down her side touching her scared indent she looked up to Kustumari. " Besides... Its like a cat..they bite when they fear something.. Scratch when angry...lick when sorry .. It just takes a moment of letting that pain happen so they don't fear you any longer...waiting for that lick.. "
Shrugging she guessed that was a good answer but she wasn't sure.

Kutsumari offered a nod. "That's good to hear."
Like a cat... That made sense, she supposed. She, too, had been bitten by Alice once, but it was done with complete malicious intent. She had often wondered if Alice would bite anyone else. Not out of malice, so much, but just in general. And it seemed as if she had.
A few of the white widow's porcelain fingers twitched on one hand, signaling that her conscious was starting to gradually return, although no other signs followed. Kutsumari didn't see because she was still looking away, but surmised the snowy girl might wake soon. It all depended on the stubbornness of her body and conscious.
Reaching up, Kutsumari pulled the ribboned ties from her own high pigtails. The drill-like spirals fluttered heavily to her sides, the dainty tips billowing on to the floor. They dwarfed her and made her look smaller, like a young pristine aristocrat girl.
"Ah, what a day this is turning out to be..." She breathed out quietly, more to herself than anything. "I hope the Himeno manor doesn't involve you in the consequences of the rejected engagement..."

A chuckle slipped not one that was meant to but it did the other girl now looked far smaller, child like even more so though Jessie thought best not to mention that part she did how ever weather conscious of it or not let one word slip " cute.."
Blushing she bit her lip " I mean you look nice with your hair down. "
Ahh she could pull off a complement. Bothersome. Then a finger twitched not hers nor Kustumari's but Alices . The tomboys head arched back to look at the girl, awe her eyes still lay closed.. Jessie wondered if this was the usual amount of time if so ..it was worrisome on its own. She wondered for a moment what was Alice thinking or rather dreaming . Turning her body slightly she laid a gentle kiss on snowy lips.
.... .... ....
Nothing ah worth a shot, Jessie was sure Alice was alright the twitch of the finger was a good sign, she guessed. Maybe all this rest in some part was good as well Alice did have a long day after all. They all did infact. " you want to get some rest you can I don't mind , besides I don't plan on sleeping much so one of should "
Smiling she sat back to how she was one leg sprawled out while her chin still rest on the one that was left bent. Her one hand still grasping the sleeping beauty's gently.

The blush that had almost faded ignited once more across her face. A childish pout sparked to life with it. "J-Jeez..." She fiddled with her hands and stuck out her tongue a little before thinking better of it and stopping the unladylike action. "But, thank you..."
Rest. Yes, that might be good. Kutsumari was feeling pretty tired. Fluffing out her curled hair from its manipulated drill-like look, she sifted through her purse and made sure to take out a cloth and some make-up removal and wipe off her make-up before allowing herself to lay down fully. It wasn't very good to go to sleep with make-up on after all. Laying on her side, she looked to Jessie and Alice, made a blushing, tsundere sort of pout, then rolled on to her back.
"Goodnight, Jessie..." She murmured. "Goodnight, dear Alice."
"Bonne nuit."
Kutsumari blinked at the unexpected monotonous voice, but a smirk held over her lips. She was relieved Alice was alright, but at the same time...
"Jeez, darling Alice, how I hate you..." She pouted, albeit with a girlish chuckle.
No answer was given in return, but Kutsumari knew the widow wasn't mad at her for saying that. She never was. As the the black widow always said, true or not, hate was the purest form of love. When Kutsumari said no more, Alice's eyes slowly opened, revealing slightly hazed icy eyes. They looked at Jessie then away at the ceiling, the prideful widow feeling too embarrassed to look at her. She had no idea where she was nor how she got he- oh wait. That's right... She'd fainted after running from everyone... From Victoir... How embarrassing. But she'd just been so upset about the whole thing... Kutsumari seemed okay, which was good... Jessie too. Alice noticed the towel and how her top had been opened to aid in cooling her down, but did nothing about it. She felt lightheaded and weak, and she hated it. She still felt a little hot, too, but her temperature would cool now that she was awaken. Curse her condition. Although embarrassed, she silently tightened her grip on the warm hand more securely. What had the two been talking about, and for how long? Where even was she? Ugh... It wasn't good to think so much after just waking up.

Jessies hears perked much like a puppies would, just as kustumari words drifted from the room someone else's entered. Only a slight few words were exchanged as Kustumari lay to sleep, noting she said one last thing, probably out of her knowing Alice was alright. Jessie guessed she wouldn't have said the phrase of hate if Alice wasn't alright. Jessie could feel the other hand in hers slowly grip a little.
Yet still Jessie didn't turn to look at her, as she sensed eyes on her back, then heard the shift of Alices head. She must be embarrassed, prideful girl. The tomboy would use silly, but pride fit better. Only speaking up softly se let a phrase to the twin widow leave first. " Sweet dreams."
The next phrase she spoke was gentle and a bit more intimate " Welcome back ,my love."
It almost came out as a whisper just loud enough fir Alice to hear. Truthfully she didn't plan on the phrase that she spoke. Tightening her grip to the others hand. She guessed she was welcoming the girl back to reality.

"Welcome back, my love."
It certainly did feel like she'd woken up from some strange dream into an unknown reality. While it did concern her a little that she knew not of where they were, Jessie and Kutsumari - whom she assumed was more or less asleep now - seemed alright and calm, so there didn't seem like there was a need for worry. That made the vulnerable white widow feel calmer. But she still felt embarrassed as well as at fault for whatever predicament they were in now.
"I'm sorry..." She let out quietly.
Ivory fingers stroked a braid as she spoke. An apology seemed appropriate. She didn't mean to cause any worry or problems, if any were caused. "Where...ah, where are we?"

" I'm sorry "
The cool voice spoke out this caused Jessie to quietly stand up and turn. With out a word she listed Alices head up gently supporting her bear should with her hand she sat down letting Alices head lay on her lap she bend over so their faces were inches away. " Please don't be sorry."
Kissing the girls forehead she held her lips there for only a few moments longer before pulling away. " good no fever. "
Then a question of where came up , thats right of course Alice wouldn't know. " At the time we couldn't get to the school, but we found the mansion near by.. It is given to the school as a historic building I believe...but at the same time the school doesn't use it much nor do people check on it often. So we are okay for tonight. "
Smiling down at the snowy kitten she finally to a breath of relief. " I am so happy you are okay ..."

Alice let out a pent-up breath. Maybe an apology wasn't needed, but she still felt bad besides embarrassed. Especially because she had run away. How childish and improper.
The kiss that was laid to her forehead made the widow feel like a child. She remembered her mother and sometimes the maids doing that a few times after she would wake up. They never did it anymore, of course, because the girl was much older now.
So they were in a mansion donated to the school. Didn't a girl named Shizuma Hanazono use it in the past? Alice didn't know much about it, but she'd heard of it before. Although for a while she didn't think it existed. At least they all wouldn't be bothered through the night. "Good..."
The next thing Jessie said made the snowy spider chuckle a little. "Jeez... Silly girl. There is no need to worry about me."
She wasn't used to being worried herself about any of her own issues nor of other people being too worried about it either, mostly from the product of never being able to feel pain and never fretting about injuries. As long as there was no fever when she overheated she'd always wake up fine. It just depended on how quickly her temperature was cooled to a bearable level.
