Name: Hitomi Akahana ~candy apple~
School Attending: Miator
Age/ Year in School:
15/Fourth Year
~ Appearance ~
Face Claim: Haruna from Kantai Collection.
Hair Color: Black.
Hairstyle: To her lower back, left down and held back with clips or a headband. Her family is strongly against the idea of tying her hair back, unless in a traditional bun, so even while practicing archery, it is left down. Unless she feels rebellious.
Eye Color: Gold.
Height: 5'6"
What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform? Red and white, traditional Kyudogi. But if going out on the town, or heaven forbid, a date, she enjoys anything that screams feminine. Frilly dresses, lace, skirts. It's rare to see her in jeans or anything that could be used by both genders.
What kinds of activities is your character involved in?
None~!
Other? Archery, if that's alright.
Is your character on the Student Council? Yes, Secretary.
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president?
Rin is a smart girl indeed, but she doesn't have the forceful bearing of a president in Hitomi's eyes. She would never bash her president though, she just thinks the girl could grow a little tougher backbone. Her opinion of the girl is really just from observation though. Being the secretary allows you to hide behind a pen and paper while still hearing the news of the schools, so that's where she stays. Speaking only when spoken to and such.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Hitomi has always been the model student. Writing down each assignment and when it's due, completing them at least a day in advanced if given time and easily read notes. She's extremely organized, almost to the point of OCD (which she won't openly admit to having) and has issues with anyone who is not, often losing her temper with them. Though she is more lax with this compulsion in the early morning, due to her anemia, which leaves her blood pressure low. Even so, she always looks immaculate the moment she steps out of her dorm room, making many of her dormmates believe her to wake up perfect. Of course, this isn't the case. Simply put, she takes at least an hour every morning to prepare herself for the day. Generally, after eating her breakfast in solitude, she can function like a normal part of society. By this time though, classes are generally beginning to assemble, so Hitomi hasn't made many close friends since coming to the hill, only acquaintances. Not that she's bothered by it, much, since she enjoys quiet and solitude over the drama that many of her classmates mix themselves up in.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? She believes it to be a great concept and a position to be held in the utmost respect. Though it is in a sense a popularity contest, it gives the girls of the hill someone to look up to and admire within the school system rather than turning to the newest fad outside of their precious campus. That is, as long as the power they wield is used for the betterment of all schools and students rather than bits and pieces.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Doesn't every devout Miator student?
What does your character think of the current etoiles?
Michelle is the spot on reference Hitomi would ever use for an Etoile. She's exactly what the girl would expect of one of the stars of campus, at least so far. Not much had been done in the school year, but she was on time for all of her welcoming orientations with Momo in tow.
What does your character think of the other schools? Those wanna-be-boy Spicans. Hrm. All focused on the wrong things. Okay, so maybe that wasn't really the reason she disliked the sister school. Apparently, she had wandered into the gym at some point and found the storage room in an absolute mess. Ever since she spent three hours organizing it she gets a bit grumpy if a sporty girl from Spica tries to engage her in conversation.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Miator:
History before Astraea Hill: From a young age, Hitomi was tutored in anything meant to be known by a bride. Cooking to music to flower arrangements. She also spent many after hours learning multiple languages, traditional shodō and other (what she deems useless) skills. Before coming to the Hill in her first year of high school, she was home schooled. So, many days would be full of tutors instead of playful hours of childhood. Therein, she grew up fast and remained that way, turning away from many of the childish games her acquaintances enjoy. When she did get time away from her home, Hitomi would sneak to the nearby Shinto shrine to watch the Maikai teach the fundamentals of traditional archery. After a time the head priest noticed her watching from the bushes and invited her to join the group. Her love for the sport grew over the years of her involvement at the shrine, but she was never given the freedom to practice as much as she liked. That was until she was allowed to join the girls of Miator.
First Year:
Received a room to herself thanks to the extra tuition her parents paid the school. Keeping to herself other than doing her maid duties.
Second Year:
Joined the archery team and quickly worked her way up the ranks after showing off her skill
Third Year:
Set her station as co-captain of her beloved club. Still kept her distance from people, using the club as an excuse as she readied herself for competition. Also got volunteered for the fourth year class representative. Turned it down to be the Secretary instead so she wouldn't have to speak at meetings.
Fourth Year:
Fifth Year:
Sixth Year:
Sample Post:
The soft whistle of feathers zipping through the air was followed by a solid thud as the arrow lodged itself deep into the center of the target. A soft squeak of wood then another slid into the spot barely a millimeter away from the first. After five arrows were tightly clustered in the red bullseye, the girl behind the weapon slowly lowered it and let out a steady breath. She frowned at the circle. One of the shafts stuck out at a slight angle. This would not do. She looked down the lanes, making sure she was indeed the only one practicing before she started for her target. Each arrow was pulled out, one at a time, using her finger glove to get good purchase on the lacquered surface. Then she quietly paced back to her stand, taking larger steps in her Kyudogi than she ever would in her school uniform.
Now that she was back in place, she pulled the bow up, with seemingly ease she drew it back until her hand was tucked right beneath her ear and her left arm was stretched out almost to the point of locking. A deep breath in.. SMACK! The arrow drove home into the center, another was quick to be drawn and released. This time the arrow sliced straight through the first and embedded itself even further than the first.
The black haired girl almost let out a yell of excitement, but schooled herself before she could even finish the thoughts. Only smiling instead as she turned from the target. She hated to leave things out of place.. But she had to show the others that she had finally done it. Hopefully she could do it again, just to prove she hadn't forged it. Hitomi let her smile transform into a smirk as she went to change out of her practice attire and into something that was more suitable for cleaning.
