" Yea we are"
A chuckle left her lips to, which in turn helped her relax yet her heart was still beating , trying to tell her something. But what?
Her hand was taken by the soft snowy hand of her partner. Letting her fingers wrap around the small hand she pulled the girl up, though far closer then meant. She breathed out as the snowy figure fell into her from the force of her helpful lift. Blushing she could swear her body was betraying her. " Ah sorry Alice.. I guess my strength has gotten better "
Another chuckle left, yet it was a weak one . Maybe changing the subject would help." I also meant to thank you for placing practice today , there's a host party at the beach I was so nerves In going, but then I got your practice times , and today was one of them so thanks ."
A slight ramble but all true.

Alice soon found herself back on her feet, but Jessie's strength had resulted in her falling against the blushing girl. The widow remained there for a fleeting moment as if to tease her - she had noticed the beating of her partner's heart - before taking a half step back to establish some distance between them.
"It's quite alright, miss McKnight."
Using her free hand, she smoothed the ruffled edges of her frilled dress. A host party at the beach? No doubt probably teaming with the various princes of Astrea. Alice cared little for most of those flirtatious girls. She had her own web to maintain, after all. Besides, she knew almost all their tricks and had a few personal ones of her own, though she wouldn't necessarily share them if ever pressed.
"You're welcome I suppose, although if you do get a desire to go, you may." She offered.
Most of the shock; the external shock, at least; had worn off by now, and she allowed her position to relax, frozen gaze refocusing on the boyish girl.

Allowing her partner to adjust her dress she made sure not of her own fit had been changed by the fall. She noticed how Alice seemed back to normal, she had to do her best to be the same. Over it. Jessie took a breath closed her eyes letting a simple friendly smile meet her lips she opened her eye. Listening to how Alice didn't mind if she went to the beach she shook her head. " No no I .. I'd much rather be here with y-you. "
Her sentence caused a stutter at the end, she remixed how what she said might come off as. What would Alice do? No she couldn't worry it was time to get back to the project at hand. She readied her self for their practice . " I am ready when you are. "
Looking down at her feet she tapped on of her feet to the floor making sure her shoes were still tied tight. There was no give to them so she peered back to see her partner was done fixing the frills of her dress. Her bear arms rose to meet the usual stance. Jessie hadn't thought that this was probably the most skin shed shone for a long time, she also thought of how Alice would be touching bear skin. Blushing at the memory of the sleep over, Alice had been in her door way when shed crossed the room to grab her sweat shirt. That was far more skin seen then now...but still..it was an embarrassment to have happened.

A soft, barely audible sound of amusement issued from Alice's throat as her partner stuttered out a response. An interesting one it was. The widow brushed it off after a moment's thought on it. She herself didn't really mind Jessie's company. Well, she wouldn't admit that openly, but it was true. Even if just a fraction of it.
Acknowledging her partner's readiness with a subtle nod, Alice adopted her proper stance. Frigid fingers laced with warmer ones, and once again an icy hand came to rest on the other's bare shoulder. She wondered if perhaps her cold touch on the exposed skin would bother her. Maybe not; there was a possibility the girl had already gotten used to its chilling presence. Though was that possible? Alice looked to her partner, avoiding looking at her lips entirely. Her face appeared dyed in blush again. What was she thinking of? The widow could only wonder.

Her shoulder was touched she was use the cold but couldn't help but role her shoulder to get use to the touch. She began the dance as normal but couldn't help as thoughts flooded her mind. Jessie couldn't do this anymore. She had to ask something. " What ...was it ..like for you.T-the kiss.. I mean "
She looked away nipping at her lip she watched there movements, made sure she was focused on the dance she already regretted asking the question. She allowed her eyes to close tighter then shed meant. Counting each step now. She can't worry about. She can..just couldn't ...worry. Jessie sighed focusing on the dance wasn't working.
Opening her eyes she stopped nipping at her lips , it was becoming sore shed just have to deal with what ever the response was, even if she in return got bit.

The snowy widow tried her best to flow with the dance. There wasn't much of a connection anymore; focus had been lost between the two. So much so that a question was prompted. One that Alice would rather have not wanted to hear. Icy eyes narrowed slightly and frosted over a little at its presence, but they weren't entirely glazed with ice.
What had the kiss been like for her? Well, it had been warm and soft...and pleasant to say the least. Shocking, too, in its accidental form, but not at all unpleasant. Though of course Alice wouldn't admit to any of that. She could always just answer that is was just an accident once more and move on, but seeing how it was clearly distracting her partner, there was little way around it. So she sifted through the cluttered labels in her flurrying mind and selected the most appropriate befitting her vague nature.
"Warm." Was what came out softly in her usual monotone voice.
She really hadn't been meaning to stare, but she noticed the girl was biting her lips. It was probably due to nerves. Or maybe in regret of asking the question. Either way it bothered the wintry spider a little. So she briefly removed her hand from the boyish girl's shoulder; managing to still keep mostly in step all the while; reached up to Jessie's lips and ever so gently brushed a lone, icy finger across the now probably sore spot that the girl had bit down on.
"And for you, miss McKnight?" She echoed.
The action hadn't really meant to be a tease, but rather a hidden little test to see what reaction it would provoke. And also just to furtively check she hadn't hurt herself. Though it could be judged as a teasing one. The spider was fine with either conclusion.

Alice's gaze turned icy, as they wondered to her lips . Jessie flinched a tad but new she had to trust Alice. Warm was her answer. It was warm, it felt good. She new that. Yet she didn't want to say it. Yet then the same question came with an action that caused her sunset swirled eyes to freeze. All control was lost. " I.."
She gulped she wasn't the kind to lie, and she knew she couldn't think of a better word. Alice was good at at hiding how she felt, she could sense this even now as the icy finger was laid into her lips. " I won't lie to you, no... I can't lie to you in fear of falling or braking your web. "
Taking a breath she sighed stopping there dance for a moment her words left as a whisper. " I..enjoyed it..."

Speechlessness and a freezing of movement. An interesting combination of reactions, yet ones the snowy spider expected. Satisfied, she slowly withdrew the single digit and guided her hand back to the Jessie's shoulder. There was no point in it really; their dance had come to a stop; but with her other hand still in position, she decided to just hold the pose.
The answer that drifted from the other girl's lips was truthful. It couldn't have been a lie - she'd even stated she couldn't; wouldn't; lie. For a web was a fragile thing. Alice thought about the answer that was provided. Her partner had enjoyed it. An, albeit accidental, kiss from a venomous spider. Had the spider herself enjoyed it? Yes, but she wouldn't let herself admit it. Not openly at least.
"Is that so?" She mused quietly. "This accident... I appreciate your honesty, miss McKnight."
Was that even the right thing to say? Ah, the widow was conflicted.

As the finger left her lips Alice spoke . Jessie nodded in response of what she said . It was true she liked what happened but what concerned her was if this would change things, it already had. Maybe she should do something to make it up to Alice. After all it seemed the girl was conflicted on what to do her self.
" um Alice.. Would you be okay if we maybe end todays practice... I don't think our flow is going to work..we seem to conflicted.."
She sighed she wondered if this caused Alice disappointment. She wondered what would happen from here on out.

End today's practice? That did seen like the a suitable decision. Their flow was off now because of that accident. As much as the spider wanted to brush it off, she couldn't. It was too apparent now. The widow let a soft sigh glide past her lips, yet allowed her frosty eyes soften.
"That's probably for the best today."
Alice let her frosted hands slip from the other girl's shoulder and unlaced from her hand. Jessie was right; there was no use denying the detoriation in their synchronicity. Oh well. Folding her arms across her chest, she proceeded to speak once more:
"My sincere apologies for the accident, miss McKnight."
It was truthful. She really hadn't planned to cause any mishaps. Yet...would this change everything? Severe the flow they'd had up until now? She could only wonder. It was a possibility.
Turning in an elegant swirl of lace and frills on one heel, she cast a final parting phrase over a slender shoulder, "Farewell for today."
