She sat up from Alice's apology. Quickly she turned around , Alice was changing... Though why react odd now , it was the same movements of at the lake. The lake that right, Alice had apologized about that day. " N-no I.. You did nothing wrong I pushed you, I don't know what I was thinking it wasn't alright.. I - "
Jessie gripped the bedding as she spoke she didn't really know what to say yet, she did,she guessed. " you make me feel ...wired.. Like I want to be my best for you..but forcing people to be out of there comfort isn't being the best of anything . I should be the one to apologize."
Laying her head down she stared at the wall, feeling as Alice sat back down she turned to face the girl, well once her blush was gone. Suddenly her eyes felt very heavy, though she didn't want to they closed. Only for a moment. She fought to stay awake to speak to Alice. " Alice...you know... Your welcome to lay down.. I don't bite."
Her last words were ironic but true at least she thought so.

Alice listened as Jessie echoed an apology of her own. She had pushed her. Quite a bit, actually. Sure, the spider had found it of great discomfort, but she wasn't necessarily completely uncomfortable around the boyish girl now.
"It's alright, miss McKnight. I don't hold it against you." Her gaze drifted momentarily to her bandages as she spoke. The irritated wounds would be stinging like fire right now for any normal person.
She looked to Jessie again. The girl seemed really tired now. Colorful pink eyes even closed for a moment. An offer to lay down was given. Then a line that provoked a soft chuckle.
"Alright."
The answer came out quieter than she expected. Oh well. It was gradual, but the widow eventually relaxed her sitting position to lay down. Her icy gaze drifted to the ceiling, listening to the lull of the rain outside. The rhythmic drone of the dreary weather always had a sort of calming effect on the spider. She assumed Jessie would probably be asleep much sooner than her. That is, if the widow was even able to sleep. Most nights reigned sleepless for her.

Alice had seemingly forgiven her, which left a a weight of guilt leave Jessie. She felt much better about everything. Leaving a smile on her face she opened her eyes to a hazy outlook, how was it she was so tired?
She watched as Alice laid down near her, she seemed tired but wide awake. " everything alright ? "
She hadn't ment for it to be yawned out, and for that Jessie felt slightly bad , rubbing her eyes she rose her body a little trying to stay up she looked at the white haired girl before her. " Do you need something to help you sleep? "

Frosty orbs shifted to the pink haired girl upon presence of a question. It appeared as if her awakness had been noticed. Likewise, the question had been yawned rather than spoken. She assumed Jessie was really tired. Another inquisition presented itself shortly to which Alice shook her head.
"I doubt anything will quite help. Sleep doesn't come too well to me." She quietly sighed.
Usually, the snowy spider was able to numb herself to weariness. Most spiders were nocturnal, after all. Right now she could admit she did feel tired though she wasn't quite sure why. Maybe the practice sessions were beginning to take a toll on her. Ah, even her icy guard and web couldn't ward off the foreign intruder that was weariness.
(I apologize for its shortness! Hope this is enough to work with)

Watching as Alice spoke she noticed her body looked tired, it seemed to her mind that was the one never allowing the girl to sleep. Jessie thought of something but hesitated to speak the words. " I..do have one idea..if you'll let me, my mother always brushed my hair before bed, though at the time it laid past my hips. "
Fighting to snuff out a yawn she spoke the rest of her idea. " why don't I brush your hair, it really does work, and I have my mothers touch , soft as a feather so you won't feel it . It just relaxing."
Groggily she stood, just long enough to grab the brush incase the offer was taken . Sitting once more , a tad closer to Alice she spoke once more . " It isn't good that spiders do have trouble, though understanding, they need to keep a watchful eye. Yet Alice do remember you are human and it is dangerous for us not to sleep."

Brush her hair? The snowy spider had never had her wintry hair brushed by another since elementary school from her childhood rival. Though that had been partially not agreed to. There wasn't much to brush anyways; her hair ended just above her shoulders. Letting out a pent up sigh, she looked at Jessie.
So she used to have long hair? The widow tried to imagine it. A memory flashed up from somewhere within her mind and she recalled their first practice. How the girl had winced ever so slightly when the ends of her hair had been touched. Had it been cut voluntarily? Or perhaps...had her devil of a father-- For some reason the thought of that man surfaced a slight bitterness in Alice's chest. Could it be that she did care for her partner? An unofficial being of prey? Did the widow even desire to make prey of her? The unfamiliar thoughts burned in her mind.
As for being human, she forgot that sometimes. Not being able to feel pain and having experienced very little emotion. Caught up in her own venomous web. Yet like earlier, she still bled when she was cut like everyone else. Though it was her inexperience with true pain that often made her forget.
"Fine." For once, Alice had actually wanted to say a little more than just one word but she was tired.
She wasn't even sure why she agreed. In fact, she'd agreed to a couple of things so far with Jessie that she wasn't sure of why. How come? Any rational answer eluded her weary mind for the moment.

Waiting for a response Jessie touched her own hair, she had wondered what it would be light to grow it out again, yet fear still had mad her wait. As for what Alice replied with had Jessie slightly shocked, though she was some how pleased.
Making her way to Alice she sat next to the laying body reaching the brush out she hesitated. Was this really okay? Yet even with the thought she began to brush. Her other hand glided between each lock of hair making sure there was no nots, though it didn't seem possible.
She began to unconsciously humm to a song shed heard her mother often humm. " Lovely hair , for a lovely lady. "
Though it was something her mother always said to her some how it was even more fitting for the snowy angels beside her.

Alice watched Jessie as she reached out her brush, eventually sitting up to make the task easier. It made her feel sleepier, and even though it still involved slight physical contact, her body failed to tense like before. Instead, she remained for the most part relaxed, much too tired now to react normally.
Jessie had much gentler hands then her childhood rival, a troublesome regal girl by the name of Kutsumari. Hers had been kind of rough and teasing; often taking advantage of any knots whenever tugging fingers would discover them. That was probably one of the reasons why she had only allowed the irritating girl to do it once -- if "allowed" was even the right word, that is.
Then Jessie began to hum softly. It elicited a sleepy sort of quiet sigh from the snowy spider, but she still fought to stay awake. Spiders were most vulnerable when they slept. Humans, too. That was a reason why Alice never slept in another's company. The boyish girl made a comment next to which the sleepy white haired girl acknowledged with a soft sound. Finding a moment of more awareness she managed to speak:
"I don't think "lovely " is quite the worrect cor-- ah... correct word. "
Sharp canines pressed down onto her tongue at the presence of a Spoonerism. Curse her sleepiness. She hadn't been watching herself. Trying to keep herself more awake, she let her mind wander to Jessie for a moment.
"Miss McKnight," she started wearily, trying to mask the apparent sleepiness in her voice, "if I may ask, do you ever plan to grow your hair out?"
It wasn't exactly her place to ask, but she was a bit curious. And endeavoring to ward off sleep.

Alice had relaxed it seemed, even to the point of her speech being messed up a little. Though the girl was now sitting up to make the activity easier, jessie found it amusing at the thought if she relaxed any more shed be on the bed again. Jessie continued to humm until a question was asked causing her to look up slightly in shock.
"W-what?"
The question wasn't expected, it was the first note of curiosity the snowy spider had actually asked about. Though her own words questioned the previous sentence she had heard Alice's soft question. Quite clearly in fact. A slight sigh left her keeping her tone soft, tiring to stay away from the fear that made her heart pitter patter now she gave her reply. " I have thought of it a lot, I loved my hair long...but... When my father gripped my head hurting every nerve he could and sliced it off... I feared if I did grow my hair out...some how he'd find out...besides id be afraid for someone to hurt it... "
That was more intail then she had meant to slip but Alice didn't seem like the type to care.Besides though a frosted ice figure, Alice was some how easy to talk to.

The snowy spider listened to the answer that was given, white lashes falling midway over her icy orbs. So Jessie's hair had been cut by her father. Not even kindly either, but rather painfully to the point where it provoked a strong sense of fear. A truly traumatic experience.
"I wouldn't hurt it." The widow's words were soft but of rare genuine nature.
She did feel a bit of sympathy for Jessie. It was masked, but it was certainly there. No one deserved that kind of trauma. Nor the fear that evolved with it. That much she would openly admit to.
Closing her eyes fully, she retreated back into her web of thoughts, having realized her previous statement had been a bit out if character. She shifted a little, then decided to add, "He cannot touch you here anyways."

' I wouldn't hurt it'
These words caused the brush to stop for a moment, allowing eyes to waver In shock...no..that wasn't quite it but close enough. For a moment Jessie just stared. Looking at the white as snow hair in front of her. Finally her hand started to move again, letting the brush finish its stroke.
She breathed out, she needed to say thank you but before she had a chance to say anything Alice with a cool tone of voice reminded her, her father couldn't get to her.. She'd heard Alice say this before, at least she thought. The snowy angel was probably correct. " i-...i won't give it a trim next week then. "
Was all that managed to be spoken.

The brush paused mid-stroke. Alice assumed she might have surprised the girl. Maybe even shocked her. Needless to say she had surprised herself a bit too. Spiders were not the kindest creatures out there nor the least deadly. Alice could hold - did hold - the same amount of venom as a potentially lethal black widow.
The snowy spider nodded in acknowledgment at what was said next. It would take a long while for the girl to grow her hair as long as she previously had it. That is, if she had even wanted to grow it out that long. Alice had no real say in it in the end.
Deciding to remain quiet for a few moments, she let herself lapse into her thoughts. She'd come to know a lot about Jessie. Or at least she felt comfortable considering it a lot. It was a rare occurrence for the widow. Most times when she encountered a girl, she'd ensnare them in her web and do away with them without a care as even to learn their names sometimes. Then she'd let the heartbroken prey fall like just another insect among her web.
Yet Jessie wasn't quite like most of the unaware innocent insects she often came across. She was more confident and didn't just follow along like a puppy to get even more tangled in the widow's malicious web. Again the question crested in the spider's mind. Was she prey? The widow abruptly recalled something.
"October." She murmured suddenly; almost not quite loud enough to hear. "My birth month is October."
Now why had she even said that? It wasn't like her at all to reveal answers like that. But at the same time Jessie was no normal prey to the icy spider. Ah, it was all so confusing.

Jessie looked at the girl before her, she had given up the month of her birth. Yet some how she already new it was October.
Smiling she placed the brush down for a moment. " then I will have to get you something very nice. "
This time the bell was not the attended gift. She had a feeling that Alice was unsure about the idea of the bell. Though at the time Jessie had full intentions of getting one at the time. She would usually tell another her birth month yet held back , she didn't want Alice to get her anything . After all the girl was already giving her so much, even if it was covered in ice.
She about picked up the brush again but looked at the hair before her, she had just about brushed the wave out of it, it was truly lovely, soft and shimmered with what little light was around. " If you wish I can start to brush your hair again, though it will be purely for relaxation now. I don't think there was a not to begin with."
A slight chuckle left her lips. As far as a first sleep over went , it seemed this one was quite nice indeed.

Alice shook her head and gave a signerature flick of a lily-white hand.
"You don't have to get me anything." She responded softly The spider wasn't used to receiving gifts anyways.
An offer to brush her hair again was brought up next. It was received with another graceful shake of the widow's head. Newly brushed snowy hair swayed at the subtle action.
"I am alright, thank you, miss McKnight." She paused, then added a bit playfully, "I wouldn't want to keep you up for much longer."
She'd noticed that Jessie was still pretty tired. Maybe a little more awake then before, but still tired nonetheless. Not only that, but Alice was for the most part rather relaxed now.

" Alice, I want to . "
She allowed her tone to be nice, but firm. Alice had no clue how special she was to Jessie and Jessie her self didn't know if that caring for the other girl was going to stop. Yet for some reason, at least right now..if it did grow she didn't mind that thought at all.
As far as more brushing went Alice said a simple no, though she laced it with a few teasing wards. Jessie had forgotten how tired she was. That was until Alice said something about it , that and the fact when she moved back to her half of the bed her body was very stiff.
"Well I guess your right, my body is defiantly telling me to hit the hay. "
She laughed as she attached her body hearing a crack and pop, she let out a sigh of relief. " yes , it definitely telling me. Although, if you need me for anything I am right next to you. "
A amused smile came to her as she laid down , knowing what she was about to say would be waved off she spoke up " Oh and Alice I am quite the amazing cuddled, my stuff toys know to well of my cuddling skills "
It was a playful game of teasing as she stretched once more . Closing her eyes she smiled. Yes this was a good first sleep over.
