In order to pull off a trick like this, Naoko figured she would only have to get most of the basics right. A hockey jersey was easy enough to come by. She already owned the wig, so that was taken care of. Spending the Winter Ball as the good Seme Etoile had been such a delight. Best of all...nobody had caught on to her ruse! Sure, she did make herself scarce as soon as the real deal showed up. Probably best not to make the reveal, just yet. No, Naoko wanted to do something special. This was her last year, after all, and she did want to go out with a bang.
So...why not keep the trick going? It had very little to do with her feelings towards the Etoile. Truth be told, she didn't feel one way or the other about the two. Aside from the fact that she didn't really care for the position as a whole. They were just too..."Good". Which was part of what made it all so funny to Naoko. Imagine her, Le Rim's own bad apple, being confused with Coyote-Hymn Foster.
It was a cloudy night and the park was just about empty. She had dressed the part and now she was looking to have a little bit of fun. The wig was right and so were the contacts. She almost looked exactly the Etoile. A few differences, here and there, but the baggy clothes were sure to make a good cover for that. The scar had been the big problem. As much as she loved the idea of being a perfect imitation of the Spica girl, Naoko wasn't about to go slicing herself up to do it. This was supposed to be fun, not crazy.
That's what the make-up was for. Even in the light of her room, it almost looked convincing. You'd have to be quite close to tell. Still, Naoko didn't want to take that chance. That's why she was only doing this at night. She would look close enough to the real thing, especially if all the little details couldn't be seen. All that was left was just to lean against a tree and wait for a passerby. That was when the fun would start.
