It had been over a year since her beloved Eriko had disappeared from her. Just as she thought of making another run at Etoile with the fiery competitive pitcher who never wanted to lose. For this past year, she had been moping sad. But then she remembered everything that she and Eriko went through together and how much Eriko would never want Yuwa to be sad like this. She'd probably cheer her up with the Henshin Tigers theme song. Ironically, right now she was wearing the jersey she had brought for her and Eriko. As well as the headset. Not that she was ever the type to really get set on one person before, but it took a real long time for Yuwa to fall in love and even longer for Eriko to accept her feelings.
But she knew, Eriko wanted her to find love again. And she knew she wanted to find love again. Everything after Hamane and Himiko, she wanted something stable. Something consistent. She didn't know why but she walked out to the dance hall. Something she thought she needed every now and then. Quiet and serenity. Very few would actually come here. But then she saw a girl in a sweater. A sweater to dance in? Her black hair only made her beautiful eyes stand out even more. Yuwa's heart, which was dormant felt a doki-doki for the first time in a year. She wanted to approach the girl, but didn't want to frighten her either. After all, it took Eriko a real long time to accept this part of her. Maybe, no one else would. So Yuwa had to learn how to repress it.
Yuwa walked up to the girl and beamed a wide smile and waved. "Hey, I'm Yuwa, a 3rd year at Miator. If you need any help or anything, I'm here. I didn't mean to disturb your dancing though. You're awesome at it." She said, as she looked at the girl. More doki-doki. Of course, infatuation is the basic point of attraction. But she felt that maybe this is different. Maybe, like Eriko this would be a fated meeting.

There was a very good reason why Sasumi Sanzo had not asked to transfer to Spica. Not that her dad would've let her have much choice in the matter, nor would her sponsor have appreciated the request. That didn't change the fact that the rebel girl had pretty much no athletic skills to speak of. Her grace and coordination did not extend to any kind of sport, which had made competing against Lion d'Icendie rather problematic and limited. Only on the dance floor did she possess anything resembling those traits which she lacked in athletics. It was more suitable for upper class ladies but there were no barriers to a member of the proletariat joining in. So she'd developed skills in ballroom dance and joined the clubs at both Vincennes and Miator.
It'd been a bit rought at Vincennes since she had such a reputation as a diamond-in-the-rough prince type girl. Anyone who ever wanted to dance with her expected that such a masculine girl would lead when they were dancing. Sasumi, however, didn't know how to lead at all and thus had disappointed a good number of girls. Eventually she ended up just practicing with herself as people had learned she couldn't live up to their fantasies. That was fine, she was better off dancing on her own anyway. At Miator she didn't have that reputation so she'd managed to find a few people who could take the lead instead of her. Sometimes she liked to dance by herself anyway, like today. With some time off after class and the club meeting cancelled for the day Sasu didn't have anywhere else to be and figured it wouldn't hurt to get some extra practice in. So she was dancing by herself, going through the motions while listening to music being piped in through earbuds. It was all Russian music which was a few decades old but still (working) classy. Of course, being Sasu, her dancing attire consisted of an orange and pink plaid skirt, a neon green tank top and a faded fuchsia sweater with pink flowers on it.
It took a moment for her to realize someone was talking to her. When she did, she pulled an earbud out and roughly waved back as the tail end of the statement. Shrugging, she responded, "Sanzo, Sanzo Sasumi. Miator 2nd year, newly arrived from Vin.. another girls' school. I have to admit I didn't expect anyone to be watching.. you're welcome to join in, though. I don't know how to lead but it'd be fine if you want to learn some pointers or something."

I have to admit I didn't expect anyone to be watching.. you're welcome to join in, though. I don't know how to lead but it'd be fine if you want to learn some pointers or something." This girl was indeed trancing and beautiful to Yuwa. More doki-doki. The orange and pink skirt was adorable. The green tank top didn't exactly match, but it was that kind of awkwardness that appealed to Yuwa. That she wasn't the only one who valued originality. Though she wondered if in fact Sasu-chan dressed this way on purpose, or if it was a happy accident. But the pink sweater with the pink flowers made it al work in Yuwa's mind. She had mentioned a "Vin", and mentioned it was another girl's school. She quickly and profusedly bowed and began to apologize. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb your practice." Yuwa had said softly. "Also, I'd love to dance. However, it's been a long time so I haven't really lead." Dancing itself brought back awful memories. The last time she danced, was the very last time she had saw her Eriko. But....maybe, maybe this dance can help her overcome that. "Maybe, we can dance as equal partners?" She asked as she held her hand out timidly. Her heart bruised and her mind clouded, but something seems to tell her to give this a chance. Like it was the spirit of Eriko telling her to trust this girl she just met. She nodded and started to move according to Sanzo's movements. "Yuwaku Lily, but you can just call me Yuwa or Lily really. Whichever you prefer." She said, as she was starting to open up a little.

Any of Sasumi's outfits tended to completely lack coordination in color and style. The only happy miracles which were likely to occur involved the incredibly rare stroke of luck which allowed elements to sort of match. It was just that she had awful fashion sense, that was all. This newcomer probably thought she looked weird or something, she thought, but who cared what other people thought of her wardrobe? So long as she liked how it looked there was no reason to think it wasn't totally normal. Since the other girl seemed to be a little timid about dancing, Sasu wondered if she should help guide the practice. Getting the suggestion that they be equal partners made her giggle a little. Just the sort of thing that Papillon Rebelle would embrace as rationale for dance instruction! They began to move to a beat only Sasumi could hear, a slow dance that let them adjust their steps and correct errors as necessary.
Eventually Sasumi replied, "Yuwa-san will do for now won't it? I'd prefer to use a respectful title if I can."
She took a few more steps before she continued, "Dancing as equals would probably mean each partner takes turns leading and following, but that may not be possible in this case. I mean, I have no idea how to lead and I'd probably trip over you if I tried. So I'll allow myself to follow along with you for now."
After a while longer she asked, "Have you joined the club yet? We'd be happy to have new members. Apparently there's been a bit of a void since some Miator Eotile girl graduated a couple years ago."
