A heavy peach colored mist suffocated the environment of cherry blossom hill. At the height of spring, the bountiful cherry blossoms were in full bloom. With the coming of spring prowled a lukewarm wind that whisked an occasional shower of petals from the multitude of coral pink blossoms. If one looked hard enough into the spiraling mist, they would see an opaque figure among it resting against a tree. Crowned with hair of a silvery white and blue eyes that almost seemed to burn through the colored fog. A cascade of frills spiraled around the figure's being every so often, rippling and undulating in strange white shapes.
Alice loved the wind. It had no direct purpose nor direction. Just a spiraling mass that carried its invisible firth wherever it pleased. Free from strings or threads to tie it down. Free from the snare of a venomous web. Even more pleasing to the girl was a mist. It provided satisfactory cover for the albino widow. There was always her shadow to betray her; perhaps a second where a flash of white and blue would predominate through a break in the fog. Then it would be over and expose the spider in her entirety.
She was leaning against a nearby tree dressed in a frilled alabaster Lolita outfit, venomous soul chilled by the flowery wind. Ivory fingers drummed an orchestral melody on her clothed thigh. Once or twice a pale arm would lift in mimic of a ballet routine running through her head. She appeared to be feigning a standing sleep. Perhaps a little too poorly to be convincing, but she wasn't putting her whole heart into it anyways. A sleeping doll, of sorts.
The mist was not an ideal location for someone wandering by. Because of its ample cover, she would have no problem sneaking up and snagging any unaware girl without forewarning. It was all in her own different idea of fun, yet she would have to move quickly if that would be granted to occur. The mist had its occasional breaks, and a spider without a strong web was nothing in the wake of the full gaze of another.
