Is your character on the Student Council? - Yes
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president?
Akio perceives Donomoto Shoka as someone who seems to be nothing less than obsessed with selfish desires and manipulation of others; though she may find an aspect of respect towards Shoka in gaining such a high position, Akio finds her personality disgraceful and downright pathetic. As she would state, “They are nothing more than a figure hiding behind a fractured wall of twisted lies and coercion.”
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Neurotic
You can’t… I m-mean you won’t… You shouldn’t…
Akio masks her stress and instabilities under a well-built façade that has been carefully constructed over her lifetime, her abnormally high-strung demeanor cloaked by such a wall of fake collected composure; inside, however, is an entirely different story compared to what she lets break through to the view of the public eye. In the depths of her mind so damaged by the ire of family abandonment issues, her thoughts are a collective assortment of fragmented thoughts and stressed recollections that prompt her to see the world through the tinted light of an overanxious orphan. This forces Akio to suffer from certain instabilities in her mental capacity often involving an overload of stress in pressuring situations.
Cynical
Just because you presented me with a favor doesn’t mean it was done out of integrity, or even in the ‘goodness’ of your heart.
Deeply mistrustful and suspicious about everyone, Akio can be extremely skeptical of others upon first contact of meeting someone. She believes there is not so much as an aspect of sincerity in its purest form which makes her often come off as callous and negative to many. Her personality is just an accumulated result from her past events that have formed into an overall dark outlook.
Stubborn
Why can’t you just-just-just let me do this by myself?!
Akio is quite determined, strong willed, and extremely stubborn to the point where it is near impossible to change her mind once she has it set on some task or goal. Headstrong on her opinions, this goads her to be strict when given orders or tasks to complete; one given to her must be seen through to the very end, no matter what consequence or risk that may be lurking at the end.
Recherché
Did you say something, brat? I couldn’t quite understand you. Even if you have fallen in good favors with me our last meeting, don’t think this makes us ‘friends’ anytime soon.
Enigmatic in many ways, this causes Akio to act a bit unpredictable during certain situations, and to respond in different manners towards another student or figure. Acting as such, what she says may differ depending on whom she is speaking to and at what time, her responses ranging from passive and scholarly to aggressive and vague upon the next meeting.
Ill-Tempered
Can you just shut your trap for five simple seconds, you worthless, pathetic brat?
Akio is cantankerous and very easy to agitate if something goes wrong, or a conversation turns completely awry. With a temper as sharp as her tongue, her words can often be snappy and scathing, her remarks something she often regrets later when the initial rage has drained from her blood. Despite being ornery, however, she has attempted to deal with her quick-to-anger actions and thoughts her ill-demeanor usually causes due to the fact it often leads to messy endings and plain prejudice on both sides. Nonetheless, it is difficult to keep her temper in check.
Indifferent
Do I appear as if I give a care about what goes on, or of even what you do within the company of my presence?
Akio is notorious for producing an uncaring front, merely gazing at society through a faded view of phlegmatic design that displays her detached demeanor of being unobservant and impassive to the full; that is far from reality, however. Her negative traits of skepticism and short temperament fill in the gaps where her indifference leaves blatant holes, Akio’s true personality a nauseating mix of impassiveness and frightening aggression. Though her unresponsiveness is designated to other students and certain situations – in which she is quite fond of turning blind eyes to – she never reserves it for teachers, superiors, and given assignments.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
Akio perceives it as nothing more than a perch for those who are power hungry to latch onto, and secure a higher position from; fortunately, Akio can be just as power hungry as others which prompts her to strive to gain such a position. After all, the higher one is in a rank, the more security they may gain, and to her, her mind is set on it.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
Yes. Akio desires to be Etoile given the fact she strives to attain a higher respect an position, the goal stemming from her upbringing and stubborn personality.
What does your character think of the current etoiles?
Akio finds Coyote Hymn-Foster a little too positive for her own tastes, but she doesn’t care much about her as an individual. Her Etoile position earns her a bit more respect than what Akio would normally have provided. The second Etoile has provided a different impression on Akio given that Hiroko Takashina seems a little too easily embarrassed and unconfident about her actions. Respect is provided for her, however, due to the fact that she displays a politeness and a non-imposing personality.
What does your character think of the other schools?
Akio finds Miator an overall fine school, but one glaring flaw throws everything out the window; the idea that they idealize the aspect of a more submissive and lady-like manner is sickening to her, and it doesn’t persuade her to not voice a stiff opinion. Students under the school of Miator should expect a string of insults or plain harsh words given that Akio is not afraid of being honest. In contrast to Miator, Akio can care less about Le Rim since they provide no impression nor aspect to insult. As long as a student who claims allegiance to such a school does not agitate her, Akio will act just as normal as she does around others when conversing.
~History~
Suzuki Akio was the middle child of three daughters born to a moderately wealthy family in the confines of the island nation Japan, her father a well-off businessman and her mother a tailor famed for her beautiful silken kimonos and yukatas. Her siblings were a friendly pair, the youngest immature and eager, and the eldest polite yet benevolent. As the second eldest within their parents’ offspring, Akio was not expected to inherit a great deal of possessions from her father – many of the objects to be passed down to her older sister – but she was to be provided a meager portion of her family’s fortune as well as the few kimonos her mother was to save. Her family’s appropriate standings, however, did not last long given that nothing good ever survives.
When Akio was nearing her sixth birthday, her younger sister was struck down by a terminal disease at only three and a half years, an event that scarred Akio and sent the entire Suzuki family into a terrifying downwards spiral. Money quickly became in short supply as her father, once a proper worker, turned to alcohol to drown his sorrows, and her mother lost any hope at all. All Akio had to hold onto was her older sister who was still an influential presence in her life; the last greatest thing to love, and it was soon torn from her.
When Akio was seven, her father officially lost his job and turned to moving the family out of the city and to an isolated town in order to preserve whatever finances they had left. The only optimism they had left, Akio’s parents fled with their daughters, but not without a price; four individuals to feed was far more difficult than three in their standings, so her father had no qualms about dropping her off at a local bus stop permanently, the only lie to leave his mouth a few words of reassurance.

Don’t worry, Akio. We’ll be back, okay? Mama, papa, and your older sister need to go check something out at our new home to make sure it’s in top condition for your safety, alright? You be a good girl, and I promise everything is going to be okay…
[/i]Akio wasn’t a naïve child as she could surely tell something had been wrong, but there was nothing else to think or say. She didn’t understand why her mother had been crying, or why her sister had refused to look at her as they left until it was far too later; they were long gone when the notion finally deemed on her, and the aftermath had been absolutely devastating. There was no hope in others; no love in family; no trust in people. Even at a young age, she steeled her resolve, and vowed that such an event would never happen again, to just build up a boundary to advances in order to prevent such a thing.
Abandonment
The word had left such a bitter taste in her mouth that it had completely drained any hope in second chances. Despite her disbelief, fortune came the next morning in the form of an older woman who had no children to her own name, but had stumbled upon Akio all alone. With no parents in sight, the woman adopted this proclaimed orphan and offered her a home that had been so mercilessly torn from her by her own family; the older woman had nothing left to lose, and an adopted child would provide a piece of comfort she had so desired. From her childhood on, Akio remained despondent and obedient, yet short-tempered through the course of elementary and middle school, her flickering personality brought on by the traumatic issues of abandonment.
Soon enough, she started to peek into pre-high school years where she had officially steadied her more or less shifting behavior, a perfect sculpture of negative traits accumulated into one individual. Conversing with fellow students had always been a tedious task with romantic endeavors far worse given her difficult attitude and fluctuating gender preferences, crushes coming and going like the ebbing of an ever turbulent tide.
Due to this, her adoptive mother found a much needed alternative to ease her ‘daughter’ into a more comfortable situation around people – and to open her up into a less cynical position – by contemplating the only appropriate situation: an all girl’s boarding school by the name of Astrea Hill. A veteran student, Akio’s adoptive mother shipped her off to the school at the age of thirteen with only the hopes of her to adapt to trusting society in mind. After all, a physical experience is far better than a mental one.

Every breath was a strained simple labor of love as her chest heaved up and down in a desperate attempt to grasp something untouchable; intangible. The blame rested heavily on an unconscious figure sprawled across the ground not some fifty feet away, an incapacitated attacker who had the gall to believe they had any hopes in subduing a martial artist for some sick personal gain – fortunate for them, Akio only had the strength to deal a painful blow to the face before their boot had collided roughly into her ribs.
Blooming underneath her sweater was the said blemish, one that rested lovingly on the left side of her rib cage in an ornate display of force. The memory of the prior skirmish was a torrent of agony that stalked her like a desperate lover, enforcing only a more feverish wave of anger; anger at everything, and everyone. With an inaudible growl, she forced herself to take a step forward with the hospital the only thought in mind, but as if on cue, a sharp stab of pain lanced through her side that nearly forced her onto her knees. Akio’s lips proceeded to turn down into a deep scowl as she sidled herself against one of the narrow walls bordering the darkened alleyway, her legs folding up underneath as she finally settles the rest of her weight onto the filth-stained ground.
”Disgusting…” She muttered indignantly as she swiftly retrieved her phone from a pocket in her jeans, grateful for the fact that the assailant had not damaged it in any manner, and that it still contained enough percentage to allow her one good lengthy call. As much as she would rather have left her adoptive mother out of the violent event, there was no way to walk to the hospital in her state of pain without a designated driver: at the driver was to be none other than whom she was calling.
With a hesitant grip, she pressed down on the buttons in a pattern so familiar before holding it up to her ear, giving just a quick moment to clear her throat just as the voice of her ‘mother’ announced their presence.
”Hey, mom…? I don’t really know how to tell you this… but, I, uh… I need a ride to the hospital.”
