Is your character on the Student Council? Yes
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president? Aloof and mysterious with a fondness for magic that she finds quite peculiar. She respects Shun as the student council president respectfully as well as an individual person. She would love to individually meet her acquaintance one day, but regards herself as unfit of being in the presence of such a marvelous person out of lack of confidence in herself.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
A sensitive soul, Lumi is the embodiment of a blossoming rose bud. Easily manipulated, fragile, and insecure, but cunningly wise. Music enlightens her soul, and it’s not uncommon for her to compose a song based on those she’s met. However, like the free flowing river that is music, she is one that is easy to manipulate and control with little to no resistance. Like a chained bird with clipped wings ensnared in a cage. She will obey almost every order thrown at her, especially ones given by people she trusts. Non passive actions or displays of resistant are absent from her being. In other words, she is like a stringed marionette bearing a hand-held control bar for anyone to grasp at any waking moment.
On a deeper overall level, she strives to come off as courteous, compassionate, and a pleasant being to anyone who spares a moment to engage in conversation with her. Because to her, everyone is a beautiful angelic swan and she the ugly duckling that simply poisons their grace. She refers to others as “Miss (the person’s name)-san/-sama/-chan/-kun respectfully as she finds it utmost polite. Leaving a satisfactory impression on others is something a clumsy insecure girl like her can surely strive for, right? On a deeper level, she is reveals a shyer side of herself that wishes little to do with the limelight and possible interference with others. She is one someone would expect to see on the sidelines. Watching. Admiring. And silently encouraging without ever approaching them personally. Putting others before herself is her strongest virtue. Selfish wishes are never something she wishes to dwell on and dashes them instantly if they are to arise in the presence of another. She feels everyone is superior to her in overall right respect, and instead finds solace in plants, namely roses, rather than another living being to share in her insecurities as to not worry others with an inferior being such as herself. One day she secretly hopes to discover someone that will see past the mist of roses that veil her and love her for her. Albeit it sounds very selfish, but an insecure girl can dream, can’t she? If only just a little. Of the dreams that she believes will never come true for a dismal inferior girl like her.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
She thinks it’s a sweet way to display a couple’s affections for one another. Granted, it seems kind of silly that they chose to participate in some kind of silly competition to display it, but she still thinks of it as astonishing.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
She’s thought about it, but doesn’t really think it’s for her. She would be too insecure to stand in the presence of a dazzling, radiant, and extravagant partner far too beautiful for someone like her. Still, there is a secretive part of her that desires to try for the title one day. As long as she and her partner had fun with it, she wouldn’t care if they lost. Though she doesn’t think someone would ever want a girl like her.
What does your character think of the current etoiles? The Etoiles are beautiful and dazzling goddesses to her! She finds Hiroko to be extraordinarily beautiful and finds her shyness to be adorable. She feels a better connection with the uke Etoile because of their mutual lack of confidence in themselves. Coyote, on the other hand, seems to be a bit of a prince. One of a fondness for adventure and always ready to rescue her dear damsel in distress Hiroko. She finds them to be a very charming pair all and all, and admires their affection for one another.
What does your character think of the other schools? As her school does not concern Miator and Spica’s rivalry directly, she feels nothing strong about it. Even if it did concern her respectful school, she still wouldn’t feel anything towards it. Tension only leads to mistakes, and mistakes lead to unforgivable actions. She respects both schools, Miator and Spica, equally and encourages to exploit their similarities as well as their differences, but not so much as to upset the other. All the students enrolled in the schools as well as her own are simply gorgeous and should be able to strive for whatever they desire in any school on Astrea no matter their restrictions! After all, every rose if nurtured right as room to blossom even more beautifully among thorned brethren.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Lulim.
Lumi was born in Mumbai, India where she lived until she was ten years old. Her family shared an apartment with three other families, one of which had a tomboyish girl named Ria that she was quite fond of. Lumi always observed her from afar, afraid that she was much too inferior to the other girl to ever have a chance of speaking with her. One day at her small co-ed elementary school, a group of boys harassed and bullied her. Not being one of violence and being physically weak, she found herself unable to fight back. As if by a miracle, Ria happened to spot the scene and rushed to protect her. The boys scurried off and the strong friendship of the two girls ignited at the moment she turned back to offer a hand to help her up. The two thrived together inside and outside of school. Ria had her back and Lumi had hers. Nothing could separate them. On the eve of her ninth birthday, her mother revealed that she was pregnant with a baby girl. Ria was saddened by the news, as she was afraid that Lumi wouldn’t want to spend as much time with her anymore once the baby was born, but Lumi reassured her that there was nothing that could severe their deep friendship. The baby was soon born to the endearing name Alani. She was weak and fragile; much more than her older sister. Her health quickly detreated in the short period of time that followed her birth. Doctors feared for her and she was hospitalized promptly where she died just two months before Lumi’s tenth birthday.
Lumi was heartbroken. She became distant and antisocial over the following month. It was during this time she took up solace in the small urban rose garden just outside the apartment, spending ungodly amounts of time tending to the roses. Her relationship with her family unraveled slightly over the time, and with it, her promised friendship with Ria. Things cleared up over the preceding month, and just as she was beginning to recover from the whole incident, a fire started in the small apartment. Her family quickly evacuated her out on the desolate streets before combating the flames to rescue the three remaining families who screamed for help inside. They never emerged. Alone and scared, a kind-hearted neighbor who was well acquainted with her family found her weeping on the sidelines of the burning building and took her in. With no immediate family living nearby, she was soon sent off to the custody of her wealthy aunt and cousin in Japan who she would reside with for two years. Her aunt was a successful botanist, and owned many a large rose garden on her large estate. Lumi once again found solace in the rose garden and it was a few months later that her aunt saw her blossom from her dismal state. Thinking it was time to encourage her to spread her seeds and move on from the incident, her aunt sent her to Astrea, hoping there she could blossom further and others could see the beauty trapped beneath and heal her damaged petals.

“Lumi-chan, are you in here? Lumi-chan!”
Her cousin’s softly shrieking voice was barely audible above the suffocating heated fumes of the rose-scented greenhouse. This place had served as a safe haven to the bedraggled caramel-skinned girl since the moment she had arrived at her aunt’s prestigious mansion. Here among the multitudes of faces of adoring flowery heads, she felt like she was safe. Not alone. Finally secure.
Long purple hair flowed daintily over one shoulder like the night sky. Jewels of water speckled the purple tapestry in emulation of stars, trickling down to stain the billowing nightgown where a pair of caramel feet swayed from its bell-shaped bottom. In a suspended state of bliss and security, Lumi had failed to hear her name drifting above her flowery confidents. A second third time it was called, and at first she regarded it as nothing but a false whispers. A trick of the flowers. But at the presence of a fourth louder time, she bolted from illusionary eden. A pair of excited azure eyes adorning a beautiful youthful face stared deep into emerald ones.
“Lumi-chan! Guess what? You’re going to school!” A grin stole across the face’s familiar lips, contradicting the caramel ones that twitched in confusion.
“What do you mean, Tsumi-sama?” A slight pause, and then a jolt of realization. “Y-You mean I got accepted!”
Her cousin Tsumi’s wolfish grin broadened in delight at the younger girl’s astonished disbelief. “Yes! Yes! Now come on, let’s get packing!”
An eager pale hand tugged at a smaller caramel one. A swirl of purple beautified by a caramel pigment and white cloth resisted. Tsumi stumbled forward, nearly plowing into a collection of budding yellow teacup roses, but turned sharply on her heel just in the nick of time to avoid murdering her younger cousin’s flowering friends. “Lumi-chan?”
“Tusmi-sama…I-It’s two in the morning!” A small voice quivered from the mass of radiant purple hair. Purple tendrils shivered at its invisible presence.
“Yes? So? The early the better!”
Tsumi’s childish silliness didn’t fail to bring a small smile of amusement to caramel lips. She had a point. After all, that was the attention she administered to her roses every day. “Alright. Let’s go.”
A small hand slipped into the comfort of the larger paler one. Two blossoming smiles intertwined through the hazy mist of chuckling grins of the rosy heads as the two headed out of the greenhouse. This was the last the dear little roses would ever glimpse of their smiling nurturing angel.
