There was a moment of quiet in the hallways, before the classes let out. A moment of peace, before a cacophony of exchanges, including gossip and shared laughter and maybe even a few private whispers passed between some, which may have been just a little more than friendly. There was no doubt that classes were back in session and many were falling back into familiar routines. But, there were some who were new who were still settling in.
Astraea Hill was a brand new place and filled with such wonderful opportunities. Of course, some of those opportunities would depend on what you were looking for. And for one of those newcomers, the motivation was quite simple. At least on the surface. A school full of rich girls, meant that there was plenty of room to get a little slice of those riches. Added up over time, there was quite a haul to be made.
The blue haired girl leaned against a wall. Today, she was watching. Looking for marks and trying to get a feel for her new surroundings. Who was the top dog around here? Who would she need to keep an eye on? Some of the topics of conversation were interesting. Lots of people had a lot of things to say about who had won the Student Council President elections.
And what an interesting story that was. The girl, known as Makoto Ishii, wanted to know more. The Spica President and the Miator President seemed to share a rivalry. One that matched the rivalry between the two schools they represented. And one of the Etoiles was even a fellow Spican. Makoto smirked to herself. Where there was a rivalry, there was profit to be made. She just needed to find out how the best way to do it.
Makoto slipped away from the busy hallway. The library seemed like a good place to start. And she was sure that she could find a few entertaining distractions along the way. This rivalry between the two schools warranted some further study. Makoto would need to do her background research. Find out which buttons would be the best to push to get the desired results. Red scarf wrapped loosely around her neck, she ventured out into the fall air and crossed the campus towards the library. It was a very uneventful journey. A few students were bound to be found in the library, looking to enhance their studies or...maybe even looking to pass by the times through some "other" methods.

The school year had barely started yet already a new girl at Spica had begun to make a name for herself. Not some blank slate who hoped simply to do her best at a new and elite school full of classy ladies. Not some super athlete Spica had recruited to bolster its already strong ranks either. A girl whose mind half existed in the amazing world of the squared circle, possibly the greatest sport every invented but not adopted by Spica as a sport. Chifuyu Kanzaki had cut quite a few promos around school grounds, but nothing had really come from them other than odd looks, uncomfortable silence and outright anger. Or just running away from her. Really she couldn't understand what the problem was with these girls! It was all part of her gimmick, not merely a representation of herself for the world to see. It was safe to say that Chifu didn't have any friends yet. Potential rivals to feud with and certainly a few jobbers whose utter confusion would make her look better. No allies or friends who'd accept the aspiring wrestler. Perhaps it was just a case of changing the venue for her performances! So she had decided to come to the library to make another appearance with a brand new gimmick which the other girls at Spica would surely appreciate. Maids were apparently popular these days what with all the cafes and stuff that they seemed to run in major centers of population. Therefore a gimmick where a maid took care of dirty foes would be quite popular by her own estimation! Dressed in her navy blue maid uniform with frilly apron, she surveyed the scene in the library with a grin on her face. The time had come! Tapping her wrestling booted foot on the floor she summoned her inner gimmicky-ness and activated her entrance music. Never was she without her music player and tiny portable speakers. Entrances could be made all the time, anytime and this was just a new opportunity to show up any jobbers in the area. To the tune of classical music she strode out from behind a shelf, hair in braids swinging at her side. She swayed and pointed out imaginary fans in the 'crowd' as she approached the only girl in sight. Some bluenette who'd decided the library was the happening place to be on a day like today. Time for her to meet the newest gimmick in Chifu's arsenal! As she approached the girl she grinned and spun around for show. "And her opponent, from someplace deep in your heart... MACHO MAID RINGO SAAAAWAAAA!" she announced loudly, then got right up in front of the bluenette. "Awwwww yes! Macho Maid Ringo Sawa comin' at you! I am the best cleaner in the world, dig that!" she added, as if that were a totally natural way to greet someone.

Some history books just insisted on being dull. There were a few things that she could probably make use of, but she found the exercise to be very tedious. Well, that was what she got for going to school library to get books on the school's history. And so far, she had not even met anyone worth talking to. What a waste of a perfectly good afternoon. As she was thinking about taking a swing by the cafeteria to pick up on some gossip, or other distraction.
She was about to make her way for the exit, when a piece of classical music flooded the library. A girl in a maid costume popped out in front of her and said...some collection of words, that she supposed was intended to mean something to someone. It's meaning, though, was lost on her. She lifted an eyebrow, while a look of bemusement rested on her features.
Just what was the point of all this? "A cleaner?" she said, "My, don't you take pride in your work. Well, I think I saw a couple of dust mites ransacking the classic literature section. Better get to it, then."
Whatever it was, it was far more interesting than what she had been looking at. She was curious what reaction her little prodding would illicit. She rested a hand on her hip, as she took an uninterested look at the nails on her other hand.

The moment of truth had arrived - Chifu had delivered the introductory promo for Macho Maid, now how would the bluenette react to that? Plenty of girls would have just walked away from her with confusion spread across their face. Often they weren't worth chasing after since they just didn't get the value of kayfabe, no matter how hard Chifu tried to explain herself. Nobody was willing to be the friend of any of her gimmicks but that fact was kind of lost on her. The mark of someone who was worth working alongside would be a person who bought into kayfabe and took her at face value. Surprisingly the bluenette was entertained by her entrance and replied sort of in character. Great! Now that she had an audience the Macho Maid wasn't about to let her go!
"Awwwww yes! You can bet your bottom yen that this maid isn't gonna rest 'till all those mites are in their place! Figuratively speaking they are nothin' but garbage!" Chifu replied before reaching over and seizing the wrist of the hand Makoto was looking at, "And together, we're gonna bleach 'em outta existence!"
Without asking permission she tugged on the bluenette's arm and headed for the classical literature section. This was an important moment to prove just how great she was in the face of an opponent identified by another! Even though at some point she lost her grip on the girl's arm she wasn't stopping until the arrived at their destination. Grinning as she turned the corner, she jabbed a finger in the direction of the section Makoto had identified. Her arena! Time to show this girl just what a Macho Maid could do when she had direction! A quick look around revealed a little foot stool for girls to use to reach the upper shelves of the classic literature section. One of those top shelves was empty since the library was doing some inventory at the moment. A plan formulating she removed her apron and set it on the floor just beyond the stool. Chifu then hopped up onto the stool and then pulled herself onto the top wooden shelf, thankfully sturdy enough to hold her weight.
"Those dust mites think they own the place? Well their time is up! Macho Maid comin' atcha, stupid dust insects with no marketable value! Flying elbow drop!" Chifu then precariously leaned forward a little and held up both arms, pointing to the sky to signal a finisher was imminent.

How did that line go again? Curioser and curioser? Well, whoever this "Macho Maid" was, she was certainly not boring. She didn't bat an eye at the remark on dust mites. in fact, this only made the odd girl double down on this character of her's and she charged off to do battle. Taking Makoto with her, of course. Hand firmly in the grip of the other student, the bluenette arched an eyebrow as she was taken on a journey over towards the classical literature section.
The girl continued her rant as they reached their destination, showing no care for the rules of the library (one was supposed to be quiet...or at least that's what Makoto had always been lead to believe). Then, the most curious thing happened. She removed her apron and set it down on the ground. Afterwards, she began to scale the bookshelf. It was an empty one, but still, this was hardly behavior that was to be expected on such esteemed a campus as St. Spica. Not that it really mattered to Makoto. She preferred behavior that was unexpected.
No longer appearing disinterested, she held crossed her arms as she observed the other girl's ascent. "My, now this shall prove interesting." she spoke, mostly to herself as the other girl balanced herself at the top. A flying elbow dropped implied that she was going to jump. But surely even she wasn't that crazy. Was she? It occurred to the Ishii girl, that her new acquaintance just might be. She looked at the shelf, then the ground below and then back up at the girl.
2 to 1 she actually does it...
5 to 1 she gets hurt...

Anyone who for a moment doubted the conviction of Chifuyu Kanzaki when she was in full kayfabe was in for a rude awakening. Not the finishing move of the same name either, but an actual surprise. Now she was absolutely sure that there were in fact dust mites crawling about on the floor where her apron had been dropped. Crawling around, milling about and cackling in little high pitched voices about how they were going to destroy the classic literature section. No more Chaucer or Dostoevsky for anyone! They foolishly didn't realize that the Macho Maid was present and about to change things up in the name of justice and right. After announcing her finisher it was impractical to back down from the pronouncement. No way. Fierce determination flared in her eyes as she leaped off of the bookshelf, swinging her body in position to drop the elbow on her minuscule opponents. With a thud she landed on the thinly carpeted floor, bouncing a little bit as she did so. To an observer she'd have appeared to hit roughly, but Chifu wasn't phased at all.
"ONE...... TWO..... THREE!" she announced as she slapped the floor with her hand to signify the pinfall.
Without missing a beat she stood up and announced enthusiastically, "The winner, and still.. reigning, defending, undisputed champion of the libraaaaary... Macho Maid Ringo Sawa!"
She even gave little noises that sounded like a feeble attempt at cheering before turning to face Makoto, "Awwww yes, ain't any dust mites gonna stop Macho Maid-mania! Whatcha think of that, boss?" For some reason she just felt like that nickname fit the bluenette.. also she didn't seem to at all notice the trickle of blood coming from a small gash on her forehead.

Amidst Chifu's attempts at recreated fanfare, Makoto gave a quiet little golf clap at the girl's "performance". For lack of a better word. She was certainly an impressive find. Peculiar, yes, but her commitment was something that Makoto could find very useful. And tough, too. She had taken that fall fairly well. Most of the girls on Astraea Hill would not think of taking that kind of dive. Fewer still would bounce right back up.
Being called "Boss" really didn't hurt, either. "Well done, well done." she said, noting the blood that was trickling down the other girl's head.
Right on the money. Can I call them, or what?
"Reckless, but impressive." Makoto smirked and walked around to give Chifu a pat on the back, "I could use a girl, like you. A place like Astraea Hill is just waiting for someone with talents, like ours, to really shake things up."

The pat on the back caused Chifu's head to snap around in order to look fully at Makoto. Someone like her? That meant that this girl was forming a stable and needed someone to headline it as they took Astraea Hill by storm! Akemi had managed to do it through her own charisma and natural talents, but the field was thick right now. Having someone who might know the ins and outs better was a valuable tool for her. Chifu's eyes sparkled as she was told that she was impressive and could help shake things up. Her first ally on Astraea Hill! The tiny maid grinned, nodding enthusiastically at the proposal as presented. Something about Makoto simply shouted 'boss' at her. Now she'd been proven right by the outstanding charisma demonstrated by this bluenette, who had a plan to change things for the far more interesting.
"Boss! Booooooss!" she squeed as she glomped the blunette on the spot, trying her best not to lock it into a bearhug, "I'll do anything for you, boss!"
Then she let go and grinned, "Whatever you need I will be there to step up for your sake. No matter what happens I will be there to defend you from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune! Nobody will be able to mess with the plans put into place by the brilliant mind of The Boss when I am around to keep an eye out for her enemies! I pledge myself unto thee, boss! I, Chifuyu Kanzaki, swear my unswaying loyalty to you here and forever!"

It was always nice to see some enthusiasm. The other girl certainly had plenty of that. So much so, that she practically tackled the bluenette in her exuberance. After she was let go, Makoto went about recomposing herself and making sure she was relatively straightened back out. She ran a hand through her haphazard mop of blue hair and smirked at the maid girl's pledge. This was turning into quite the formal affair. Not that she minded, of course. She was "The Boss" after all.
"Great." she said, "Kanzaki-san, we are going to be able to accomplish a LOT."
This was a very nice way to start things off. Chifu was a tough looking girl and could certainly take a licking. Even if she did dress in a weird way, the fall she took didn't seem to have any affect on her. Beyond the surface damage that was visible. Having someone like her, Makoto had no doubts that she could get a lot more done.
