Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
No one has ever made the claim that Makoto Ishii was a trustworthy and honorable sort of person. A distant relation to the Suzumi family, she has always been something of a black sheep. And while some might hold a grudge over these sorts of things, Makoto seems to revel in this infamous status of her's.
In fact, most of her behavior can rub someone the wrong way, but Makoto has a bold and oddly charismatic personality that can attract a certain type of person. Namely fellow troublemakers and outcasts, but these are people she often finds useful to her little schemes.
From a young age, she had always had ways of making some extra cash. While some kids were getting into schoolyard fights and scuffles, Makoto was getting watchers to put lunch money on the fights. And after pocketing a few proceeds for herself, she managed to do quite well for herself.
As much as she seems to have a problem with authority and a disregard for such people in those positions, Makoto has managed to skirt around the edges. She is a crafty and clever girl who is always looking to find an advantage that will benefit herself and anyone she might count as a member of her merry little band of misfits.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
“They vote on this? There's so much money left right out there on the table...”
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
“Pfft, I'm ambitious, not stupid.”
What does your character think of the current etoiles?
The current Etoiles are a curious pair. To think that another one of her cousins would wind up in such a position, just as she was arriving. And one that she didn't even know she had, either! Hiroko seems like she could be very useful, in a gullible sort of way. Of course, it is always hard to get through to the “Proper” Suzumis...but, if Hiroko is an outsider, like herself? Well, perhaps that would be something to work with.
Coyote is a different story, entirely. A real goody-two-shoes who might be more trouble than she's worth. Still, if she could get Hiroko's ear without getting the attention of that purple-haired rink rat, maybe things wouldn't be too bad. She would just need to be careful.
What does your character think of the other schools?
“Lulim, Spica and Miator? Who's better? Who cares! Still, a good rivalry can make for a good sucker.”

History before Astraea Hill:
Although she is related to the Suzumi family, Makoto was something of a black sheep from even before she was born. The Ishiis have been off the family reunion list for quite some time and they don't seem to be all that concerned with the opinions of the well respected family. Makoto is hardly an exception.
Although they have made their money through legitimate means, for the Suzumi family, they are still nothing more than scoundrels who do not meet the standards of the more traditional of the two families. Makoto grew up around a family that always had a little scheme running. Some way to skirt just far enough around the rules that they could still claim they were doing things legally. All with the benefit of not having to worry about ethics. Of course these were things that didn't make themselves immediately apparent to young Makoto. She had her own concerns, once she started school.
There, she saw a number of opportunities. It started with fights between classmates, but soon she found that there were a number of other things that other kids were eager to lose their allowance on. With a couple of friends, she had quite the little operation going on.
As she worked on this, Makoto's family was enjoying their own success. The Ishii family decided that they had earned a place in closer standing to their cousins (or, more to the point, “...to stick it in their snooty faces”...which may or may not have been an actual quote from Makoto's mother). And the first step there was to send their daughter the same prestigious campus that so many Suzumi daughters attended. Makoto was only too happy to attend. After all, there was bound to be a lot of rich girls, there.

Sample Post: Whoever said that money can't buy happiness has never met an Ishii. Makoto sure never seemed to be lacking in any happiness factors. Life at school was going rather well. Her grades were...well, not a factor, if she was being honest. What was going well, was her “side business”. The bluenette thumbed through the day's collections.
She almost would miss attending the school. Almost. The Ishii girl smirked to herself as she pocketed her profits and strolled out into the summer air. One chapter of life was at an end, and another was just beginning. Which meant that there would be plenty of opportunity.
Astraea Hill was the campus where many relations had attended. And there was at least one who would still be enrolled. That should be interesting. Not as interesting as all the money that was just floating around and waiting for one entrepreneurial girl to go around and scoop it all up.
