What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform? Tierney doesn't have normal clothes, persay. Her non-uniform clothes are closer to what could only be described as cosplay. Each outfit has a separate, distinct personality linked to it. The one she wares most is liked to Tier-nya, her catgirl personality. A leotard with either shorts or a skirt, thigh length socks, and trainers. On her hands she wears elbow length gloves, with paw like hands, which she made herself. Most of the outfits she's either made herself from scratch or has modified from a premade base.
What Clubs is you character involved in? You may choose "none" or a maximum of three from the list below.
Cosplay/Sewing Club: Yes
Is your character on the Student Council? -N/A
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president? N/A
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Tierney doesn't have a personality persay. She locked her real personality away several years ago to deal with the trauma of the abuse she received from her adoptive brothers, and the neglect and outright hatred she received from her adoptive mother, on top of the trauma of losing her entire family. If she wears normal clothes, she is basically mute, and emotionally blank. She deals with the trauma, and interacts with the outside world by doning various outfits, at which point she takes on the personality of the character she is dressed as. She basically has a different personality depending on what outfit she is wearing. They are normally from fantasy books, games and manga she owns. But she does have a few generic ones that she made herself. Though whether the personalities of these generic ones contains part of her real personality, no one knows, and Tierney isn't going to say.
The costumes she has range from warriors, to rangers, princesses, to bards, to clerics, to mages. Each version of each outfit has a distinctive personality. Though each one has a basic personality type, based on the base class, each one is still different. She even has a catgirl outfit, which she wears occasionally, and she takes on the personality traits of a catgirl. Such as eating from a bowl, walking on all fours, purring when stroked. The catgirl Tierney, called Tier-nya, is the only personality that likes having her hair stroked. She has an aversion to her hair being touch because the brothers would stroke and play with her hair when they were about to abuse her, and during the abuse.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? Tierney herself doesn't any real thoughts on the position. Though her feels for it will change, depending on how she's dressed. The princesses would love it, either thinking it was romantic, or it's a way to gain power and popularity. The warriors and soldiers would think it was stupid and a waste of time. Tier-nya, her catgirl personality, would think it was the best thing in the world!
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Only after many, many, many more hours of therapy, and with the right person. Or if she can dress up. Tier-nya would love to be Etoile!
What does your character think ofthe current etoiles? Tierney doesn't have an opinion on either of the Etoiles, just like her outlook on everything else. Each personality has their own view on the Etoiles, some liking them as individuals, others not caring must about either of them, or one of them. Tier-nya loves how outgoing and boisterous Akemi is, and would love to play with her! Ayumi is just so cute and Tier-nya would love to nuzzle with her and be petted by her!
What does your character think of the other schools? Tierney doesn't notice the rivalry between the other two schools. She barely notices there are two other schools. Again, her opinion depends on who she's dressed as at the time. Some will love the rivalry, and want to join in, or just watch from the sidelines, cheering one or the other. Some will think it's a waste of time, and the schools should try to get on. Tier-nya would love it and would cheer on people she knew, on either side of the rivalry.
~History~
Born in Derbyshire, England, Tierney Rand was the eldest of three children, and the eldest daughter. She lived a comfortable life. Her parents were basically corporate spies, whose job was to spy on the competition, and steal data and ideas, before returning it to their bosses. But the young Tierney didn't know any of that. All she knew was it was something to do with working for a company, but she didn't care. They were there for her and her siblings when they needed them, and they had what they wanted. Though they weren't spoilt. They had to earn what they wanted. It was a happy childhood. But it didn't last.
They were driving somewhere, Tierney doesn't remember where. Her entire family was in the car. Suddenly there were shadows, followed by screeching and rolling and glass breaking. Then pain and darkness.
Tierney woke up sometime later. She was in pain. She felt blood running down her face, pain shot up her leg as she tried to move it. Her vision was blurry. She looked around, going to check on her family. And screamed. Her screams echoed around the countryside.
The next thing she remembers is voices. They're muffled, distant. Everything seems to be going slow. Light filters in, hurting her eyes. She sees shadows moving in front of the painful light. She is picked up by someone, just before the blackness takes her.
When she comes too, she's in a bed, in an unfamiliar room. Wires and pipes connect her to machines, which bleep next to her. She has vague memories of people in white coats fussing over her, talking to her. But the words made no sense. Then the blackness came again. She thought she was in hospital. But where's her family? She looked around. She seemed to be alone in the room. Soon she slipped into unconsciousness again.
It was several days before Tierney was able to speak again. The first thing she asked for was her family. The people in white coats, looked at each other, then told her to rest. They'll tell her when she was stronger. It was then she knew that her family was hurt bad. Once the doctors had gone, she cried. She cried until she couldn't cry any more. She cried herself to sleep.
It was several days more before Tierney was able to be awake the entire day. She never asked about her family. The doctors didn't tell her. But now she had nothing to do, but lay awake in bed, remembering the crash, waking up and seeing... She scrunched her eyes closed and tried to block out the memory of her younger brother... like that. One day she told a nurse that she was bored, and if there was something she could do. The nurse smiled and said she'd see what she could do. A couple of hours later, the nurse returned with a couple of books. They were fantasy books, aimed at children. Tierney thanked the nurse. She read both of them within a few hours.
The books helped Tierney in more ways than one. Not only was reading alleviating her boredom, but the nightmares had lessened. They were helping her to cope with the trauma of the accident. Soon, though, she'd read all the books in the childrens section. She moved on to the young adults section.
When she was well enough to walk, she was discharged, into the care of a friend of her fathers. Someone he worked with. He smiled at her, just like her father had. Even the way he held her hand was the way her father used to. So she smiled at him and went with him to his home.
His home, her new home, was huge! He introduced her to her new family. Her new older sister, Mia, and her new brothers, James, Andrew and John. John was younger than her. Her new mother spoke to her, but she never smiled. And her words hurt the young girl. Mia smiled at her and welcomed her, but her new brothers said hurtful things to her.
Her brothers would play with her, but they weren't nice. They used her as a horse, pulling her hair like reins, and used sticks as riding crops, hitting her legs and bottom. They would play piggy-in-the-middle, and she was always the one in the middle. Mia tried to make the boys stop, but they wouldn't. Her new mother, she would never be mum!, always glared at her, and said things to her in a harsh voice. She never praised the young girl. Only poured scorn upon her.
There were only three bright lights in the darkness that had become Tierney's life. Her new father, who was never dad, but was papa, who always smiled when he saw her. Mia, who was always ready with a kind word and a hug. And the library. The library was huge! It was the biggest library she'd seen! It was bigger than the school library! Mia helped her find books for her to read, and she would sometimes read her to sleep. She wasn't happy, not really. But Mia reading to her was the one highlight of every day. It was almost enough to keep going.
Time moved on, and Tierney grew. It was then that the games the boys played with her changed. More and more they played games like doctors and nurses, where she was required to remove her clothes, so they could examine her. Horsey now was played with a proper riding crop. They would get her to do their chores, usually wearing what they wanted her to wear. Which was normally either just her underwear, or a swimming suit.
One night, after Mia had settled down, John came into her room and sat on her bed. He stroked her hair, saying that she was his, and that she would do anything he said. Otherwise she wouldn't be allowed to live in the house. He then began to touch her in places. The other brothers soon joined in. She cried. She cried even after they had left.
Each time they came, she would struggle at first, but soon she stopped struggling. Soon, the moment they touched her hair, she would retreat into her mind. She would live out the stories she had read. While her body was being touched and abused, her mind was in fantastical places, having adventures. It carried on for several months, and never progressed beyond touching. Until one night.
Tierney had retreated to her fantasy world. She was a night in shinning armour, saving a princess, who looked remarkably like Mia, from a wicked mother and her evil brothers! A small corner of her mind kept track of what her body was feeling, though it was always quiet, never interfering with her mental sanctuary. But this night it did. There was a new pain. Tierney snapped out of her adventure and saw James, naked, between her wide spread legs. She screamed. That was the last thing she remembers. Until she sees papa, Mia and the mother entering the room. All three boys were crying on the floor, naked their faces bloodied, scratches all over their arms.
Lots of raised voices followed, along with crying. Tierney didn't join in with any of it. She just lay on top of her bed, staring at the ceiling. Saving the princess from the evil mother and her wicked brothers.
She was sent to a psychiatrist, as she'd stopped talking. The psychiatrist said she was suffering from PTSD, and had retreated into herself. She may recover if she's given something she loves doing. Mia said that Tierney loved reading, so they got her lots of books. Tierney read the books, but she never spoke. She never saw the sons again, and she barely saw the mother. When she did see her, the woman looked almost broken, and her voice was softer now. But Tierney didn't care for her. She loved Mia, and she loved her books. But she still never spoke. The psychiatrist then suggested roleplay, that Tierney try dressing up as a character from one of her books and play out a scene. Mia and papa were willing to try anything to help Tierney. So they brought her princesses outfit. Mia helped her put the outfit on. And, after a moment, the transformation was massive. Gone was the mute girl with the blank stare. She was replaced by a talkative, animated young princess. She even sounded like a fantasy princess. Mia and papa were over the moon. But it wasn't to last. The moment Tierney changed back into her normal clothes, she returned to her mute, emotionally blank self. So Mia and papa brought her different outfits for her to wear, a different one for each day, and a different type. A warrior, a bard, a cleric, another princess, but different this time. An elf archer, an elf princess. A knight. Each outfit also came with its own personality.
Soon Tierney was making outfits based on characters from her favourite shows and games. She showed a natural aptitude for not only sowing, but she was able to take a look at a still, and then, in her head, transfer it to the fabric without measuring it out. And it fit her almost perfect each time. She even made Mia an outfit for her birthday. Mia cried and hugged her and said she loved it. Tierney smiled. She loved Mia, but couldn't tell her, except when she wore her outfits.
Her psychiatrist suggested that Tierney be sent somewhere, where there were no memories. They suggested Astraea hill. It was a boarding school, in Japan. The psychiatrist suggested that Tierney go, that it might be good for her. Papa and Mia were not sure at first, but they agreed. It would get her away from the house, with the memories. It would also be a chance for her to have a fresh start, to meet new people. The psycharatrist also said the school had a counsellor, who would be able to help Tierney. They asked Tierney what she thought. She just stared at them.
So soon, Tierney was packed, with as many of her outfits and books as possible. Papa and Mia gave her hugs and kisses as they saw her off. She arrived at Astraea Hill, a new beginning in front of her. Not that it meant anything to the emotionally blank girl.

Sample Post: The sun was high and bright in an almost cloudless sky over Astraea Hill. A car pulled up to the main entrance, and the two front doors opened. Out stepped a man in a suit, with greying hair. The young woman, his daughter, wore a floral dress. She walked over to the rear door and opened it, before she held her hand out. A hand reached out and took the womans hand. A pale, blonde haired girl, unlike the young woman, stepped out. 'Here we are, Tierney,' the young woman, Mia, said, pointing to the school buildings ahead of them. Tierney's blue eyes stared blankly ahead, almost as though she didn't see the scene before her. 'What do you think?' Tierney still stared ahead, only blinking when she needed to. Mia sighed, glanced at her father, and a look that spoke of the pain, and the hope, they both shared passed between them.
'All your things should be in your dorm already, sweetie,' the man, Papa, said. Mia smiled at Tierney.
'All your outfits and accessories are there, waiting for you.' Tierney turned to look at them both. In the eyes, before she turned to face the school. It was only for a second, but it made both Papa and Mia smile. Their hearts will with joy as, though it was a small, short gesture, it was a lot for the mute, emotionally blank girl. 'Come on, Tierney, let's go and see your new room.' Mia held her hand out for Tierney to take. The girl looked at the hand, then took hold of the back of Mia's hand. She never held hands. Papa walked over to them, held his arm out to her. She reached out and placed her free hand on his elbow, before the three of them walked towards the school.
Mia and Papa hoped that a new start would help Tierney, even if it's just a little.
