Okay, these threads make me nervous because when I ask your opinions you give them without sugar coating and i get my feelings hurt, but I still need to know. Should we keep this rule about how your chat name must be your character's name?

The rule is there because not only do I want to strongly discourage anonymous users and pranks, i want the name to match the character so I know who the heck you are in regards to this website. Lately I have been lax on this rule with allowing numbers or single name usernames, when it should be firstnamelastname.

I have made members, eagle cough cough, change in the past because of my insistence, but what do you think, should usernames be anything as long as they aren't offensive instead of how they have to be your character? Or maybe an option like I prefer you use your character's name but it can be anything as long as it's clean and i know who you are? I like this last idea here...

Hi, sorry, I think it's my fault; I registered my Chatango account (again, because apparently my old email is linked to an existing Chatango account I never recalled making) before I even considered joining, so it's not currently using my character's name. That said, you already know who I am and I really would not like to use a 3rd email to make a 3rd Chatango account unless I really have to. You're the boss, though =3

I, personally, don't see anything wrong with folks signing up with different usernames. But, what might help, is setting up a who's who directory, so you can find out which folks have characters here on the board. A couple of the other boards have this set up. And other folks might already have chatango accounts from other boards. Anywho, that might also mean giving more work for the staff, so it's just a thought I had while on my lunch break (Mmm, burritos)

I use a temp name with my characters first name because my email is tied to a old chatango profile is that alright ? i think as long as you say who it is from strawberry panic rp in the case of having an old chatanago profile but if you're just making a new one then the rule of first name last should be okay.
