What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform? As a huge fan of East Asian culture in general she enjoys wearing traditional Japanese, Korean and/or Chinese clothing, and rarely wears anything Western despite her origins. That means she often wears things like kimonos, or qipao, or other such sorts of clothing, despite how impractical it may seem with her height and stature. Regardless, the only practical things she does wear are those traditional Chinese martial arts garbs. Occasionally she has her giant snake plushie which she affectionately calls Mr. Slithers, which her older sister made for her as a birthday present.
What kinds of activities is your character involved in?
Japanese Tea Ceremony: Yes/No
Flower Arrangement: Yes/ No
Ballroom Dancing: Yes/No
Needlepoint: Yes/No
Foreign Language: Yes/No
Band: Yes/No
Are you a Maid? Yes/No
Is your character on the Student Council? She is not in the Student Council.
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president? "I'm not a member of the Student Council, but still, Miss Akoyama seems almost intimidating... I don't know her at all but I think it's the black that does it for me? I don't want to make her angry. I better be at my best if I ever see her around..." Sierra, as mentioned, isn't a member of the Student Council but I guess she still wants to share her first impressions...
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Sierra is somewhat of an academic kind of person, she tries to sound cultured and older than she actually is, which either comes off as incredibly cute or incredibly annoying depending on who she's talking to. She's an open-minded person for her young age and that's probably also a double-edged sword, as she sometimes finds herself being open about trying new things that may or may not be exactly the smartest ideas in the book. Regardless, she's basically a genuine and somewhat naive person who, while usually is tactful, can sometimes throw that out the window when she's sharing her opinion or view on another person or some sensitive topic. Regardless, she's a good kid at heart and has a good temper. The main issue with her general temperament is that she's a bit on the sensitive side.
What this basically entails is that she doesn't take being yelled at too well, she doesn't take negative attention very well, and has a streak of overreaction in her blood, and also worries an unnatural amount for a twelve year-old. Though what she worries about is usually typical of her age group, mostly worring about school and less about more "grown-up" things, whatever that means in her mind. As a result, while she's a nice and sweet girl to talk to and to have as a friend, sometimes she does require a bit of babying (and Sierra is fully willing to admit this at times) and you need to be prepared for her to say pretty much anything, even if you may not sit well with it. And while she doesn't get mad very often she can say some very silly things when she's gone over her boiling point.
Despite this though she's a good and loyal person to have on your side and for the more cruel or more manipulative people she's an easy target for those kinds of manipulation or exploitation.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? "The Etoile position! I have only the most... Uh, what's the word, respect? Yes, I have the utmost respect for the position! They're like, the cream of the crop, right? And I can only imagine that there are perks that go with it, too. Yes, I think it's a strong position to be in, and for good reason. Yeah. That's about it, really, though I could come up with a thousand ways to say pretty much the same thing."
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? "For all the praise I give the position, I don't think being an Etoile is for me. I'd probably be better off reading some travelogues or something, haha!"
What does your character think of the current etoiles? "The current Etoiles... Miss Araceli and Miss Mashiro? Araceli seems... Quite dynamic. I can see why she would be popular with some, I've only seen her around from a distance, but she carries herself very confidently. I can respect that. I don't know if she likes to show off or not but I don't think I'd think she's a bad person 'cause of that. Some people just want to show off their talents, right? Is being full of yourself always a negative thing? Well I guess it can be seen to be going against certain values, but hey... Anyway, as for Mashiro, I wonder how someone like her managed to get into that position. She seems pretty low-profile. But maybe that's why she's a good match. Kinda like opposites attract, I guess. But I don't really have much to say about someone like her. I think she's kinda like me, I think, but hey, that's just me. I don't know either of them at all pretty much so these are just my first impressions."
What does your character think of the other schools? "I know some people at the school don't like those Spicans for some reason, but I think it's good to promote different things. But that's just what I read from stories and journals and stuff? I dunno if it's right to be treating each other harshly like that. Maybe some people want to be more lady-like and more obedient? And then there are others who want to be strong, independent, not needing any man? Actually I just read that from an Editorial from an old newspaper. My mother wanted to send me to Miator because of what she saw there, but I wanted to go to Lulim... I mean, they have a Computer Club! Isn't that like, totally awesome? But oh well, I guess I'm here, not that I'm complaining, after all, I get to like, do all those cool traditional things like flower arrangement! Yeah, I totally think everyone can get along. I should probably do some more research on the other schools, come to think of it!"

Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Miator:
History before Astraea Hill:
Sierra Keres is the youngest child in her family, but she only has one sister. Her older sister is currently a teacher at some school which Sierra had forgotten the name of. But that's relatively unimportant for this story. Sierra herself is half Estonian and half Japanese, a very unlikely combination of sorts so to speak, but that is a story for another time. Maybe someone will ask about it in the future. All that really needs to be said is that her father was a renowned chess player who traveled a lot. When Sierra was a child, her father came down with a sickness and he peacefully passed away when she was only five. She didn't understand it, but her sister and mother did and as a result of that both of them worked double time to care for the young Sierra. Being now a widow, the mother imbibed a lot of traditional Japanese values and knowledge unto Sierra which in part sparked her massive interest in East Asian culture and mythology. Her older sister, a teacher, imparted the values of education and reading, helping Sierra to understand how to read and understand literature.
Thus, at a very young age, when Sierra first started her education locally, she was observed to be rather gifted. Not inherently talented, mind, she was just as average as the other students (later it was discovered she had above average IQ, whatever that meant), but she was taught the values of knowledge from an incredibly young age. Or perhaps she inherited the mind of her father. Regardless, as Sierra grew out of her formative years, her mother was looking into proper academies or schools to send Sierra to which befit her educational background. Or rather educational background courtesy of her elder sister. And then she learned about Astraea Hill, and St. Miator. Deciding that St. Miator was the perfect academic establishment for her child, she had Sierra sent to St. Miator Academy as a first year.
Sierra was unsure about this arrangement as she would be away from her mother and sister, so when asking about it, all that was mentioned to her was that 'she needed to carry on the family legacy as traditional intellectuals' and that 'St. Miator was the best next step to achieve that.'

Tonight's my last night at home. I'll be going to St. Miator Academy tomorrow. I... I don't really know what I think about all this. I'm gonna miss mom, I'm gonna miss sis... Sierra thought to herself as she sat by her kotatsu, staring at a newly made chess set. The chess set was her dad's, her late dad's chess set which he used to play a lot apparently. Her sister told her how she was his partner in training and practicing new strategies. She could never win because he was too good. Sierra was curious about it. She knew how to play chess but wasn't as good in it as her sister and her father was gone now so she couldn't even ask about it. Sighing, Sierra continued to stare at the pieces on the chess set. Eventually, there was a knock on the door. "Door is unlocked." Sierra simply said. The person who came in was none other than Sierra's mom. She was dressed in a traditional furisode kimono. It was beautiful. Sierra hoped she could wear something like that some day.
"Hey, Sierra, honey... I know you're nervous. But this is for your own good," she said. "It will certainly help you grow and mature into a smart young lady capable of many things. Trust in us. I'm sure it's what Dad would have wanted, too." Sierra simply nodded as her mother sat by her and gave her a tight hug. "Don't cry for us, dear. Just do your best. We're proud of you."

Sierra was on her way to the academy the next day. She was sitting in a train that was enroute to the vicinity. She looked out the window as if daydreaming, though she held a book in her two hands. The book was actually not a book but rather the Encyclopedia of Chess Openings. She had it with her so that she would be reminded of her dad, who was purportedly related to the Crown Prince of Chess. That was not a joke. Anyway, Sierra sighed before returning to her book. Reading it and studying the various chess openings peacefully, alone in the train cab compartment, she heard the door open. Another girl, around her age, walked inside and sat opposite her.
"What'cha reading, kid?" she said, smiling.
