It was too cold. Misa hated the winter. She really, really hated it. For one thing, her horse hated the cold, so she could never get him to cooperate with riding. But she rally couldn't blame him....because it was just. so. cold. The winter months had always been especially hard back in the ghetto, too, with all the street vendors closing shop to work in a more indoor location. Of course, Christmas was always fun. Everywhere was so crowded with people, it was more than easy to get away with taking anything she wanted. Every year, the group would go on a big raid and then bring it back to a place out of the way, where they couldn't be seen, and they'd eat all the food. She didn't have to do that any more of course, with her cushy life at Astraea Hill. Part of her even longed for that part of her life back, as terrible as it had been. Her friends had been her family, and here she didn't even have them. She was alone - well, mostly alone, with the exception of Mai. Now there was a girl who was just as interesting as she was. Glancing at the window, Misa noted that it had now started to flurry. Great. That was just what she had wanted. She had been standing by the doors to the building for quite some time - class was over for the day, and the green haired girl would normally return home a this time - but she just couldn't bring herself to go out into the arctic tundra that was outside. She sighed. It would have to happen eventually, but for now...well, standing here for a little longer wouldn't hurt anything.

It was always a mixed bag of trouble with snow. On one hand, she adored the visual appeal of the snow and had some fantastic chillstep to go with it that was currently playing through the headphones around her neck. On the other hand, her gear could get damaged. For this reason, she decided to switch from her large headphones to simpler earbuds, despite the sound quality reduction and general uncomfortable fit they always presented. Still, it beats paying out the rear for new, expensive gear. Her better pair of headphones was tucked neatly away in her bag before she decided to migrate outside. It was just the kind of snow she loved to see, so it would be an entertaining walk to her dorm this way.
Headphones replaced by earmuffs, and a purple scarf wrapping her neck with a little wiggle room to put it over her nose, she was ready. Except, from the look of things, there was someone who wasn't quite ready to leave almost camping the door. No worries, they're probably getting a ride right? Still, can't hurt to make idle conversation for at least a few minutes. Spread the word, get some publicity going, mall that.
"Waiting for a ride?" She asked the greenette with no provocation.

Focusing on her hatred of the current weather, Misa was too busy gazing out the window at her frozen downfall to hear the other person approach. Even when the other girl spoke, Misa made no attempt to bother looking up, because who would want to talk to her? Most people avoided her, the exceptions being girls who were too dumb to see that she didn't want to partake in any form of social interaction, or girls who were actually kinda cool and cared about the world about just as much as she did. So, when the green haired girl didn't hear an answer to the spoken question, she looked up, only to find that there was only one other person in the room. Huh, so she had been talking to her. Well that was something new. Straightening her posture a bit, she turned to face this stranger. Eyeing her over, it seemed like she could be okay. Not overly peppy or anything, at least. There was probably no harm in answering her. "Not exactly," she replied. "I just don't want to deal with that," she gestured to the outside. She left out the part about how there was no one who would give her a ride, because she knew approximately...one person on campus. And Misa didn't know if she would trust Mai behind a steering wheel. "What about yourself?"
