What kind of clothes does your character wear when she's not in uniform?
Due to her obsession with the horror genre, Mion has a wide variety of horror themed attire. Almost everything she owns is either black, white, red, or some combination of the three (though she does have a few selections available in various neon colors). Her wardrobe is rather varied in terms of clothing style. Slim-fit jeans, sweatpants, basketball shorts, character/band t-shirts and snapbacks are Mion’s go-to items, though she will happily wear tank tops, flowy skirts, or dresses on when the situation calls for them. On the (somewhat) rare occasion she does wear a dress, it’s usually some sort of lolita-style dress with a horror-themed print/design. Her absolute favorite thing to wear (though she usually wears it to bed) is a black and white Paramore t-shirt, given to her by her closest (and only) friend, Yoru.
What kinds of activities is your character involved in?
Ballroom Dancing: Yes
Foreign Language: Yes
Band: Yes
What instrument(s) does she play? Flute; piano
Is your character on the Student Council? No.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Mion has a very insightful personality. She is sharp witted, collected, and a very eloquent speaker. As a child, she often played the role of a therapist for her friends and family, as they all knew she would never turn away from someone in need. Those who knew her long ago would have even gone so far as to say she had a heart of gold. However, following a series of rather traumatic events, Mion’s personality has undergone some major changes. In striking contrast to her once kind and thoughtful nature, Mion has become egotistical, cruel, condescending, manipulative, and dishonest. She frequently insults and belittles others, and thinks little of it. According to her closest (and probably only) friend, Yoru Kaguya, Mion makes life miserable for anyone who stands in her way. As a result, most of the people who encounter her quickly learn to fear her. Mion has a tendency to go out of her way to cause problems for those around her, though her efforts are usually subtle enough that they often go undetected. She likes to think of herself as a master puppeteer, silently manipulating her little dolls into putting on a show for her amusement. To most, she would likely appear to be something of a sadist or a sociopath. However, anyone with a sharp enough intuition would probably be able to see past the coldness in her eyes. Those people will find a fragile girl whose tough front is merely her way of coping with a horrible situation. The only time a glimpse of her true personality can be seen is when she’s out in the city, smoking and drinking (usually with Yoru nearby to make sure she doesn’t go overboard). Only then is she able to relax and let her feelings flow freely. There is some speculation that this is the main reason she’s so drawn to smoking (mostly weed, but she’ll occasionally settle for cigarettes if she can’t get it). Mion is a master at manipulating girls’ hearts. Due to the “betrayal” of her former “lover” (simply put, Yoru hurt her feelings by falling in love with Junko instead of her...and in her eyes, it felt like she’d been cheated on), she no longer believes in love. Still, that doesn’t stop her from exploring the dating world, subconsciously clinging to the hope that someone will be able to prove her wrong. Deep down, all she really wants is for someone to ease the pain in her heart. She simply doesn’t think she can function if she lets her anger (or her obsession with Yoru) go.
What does your character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
“It is quite sad that these girls can be so foolish. Their love will not last. To showcase it in front of a crowd simply creates room for more pain after the inevitable split. After all, isn’t it much more painful to hear whispers of her name swirling around you as onlookers express their pity?”
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
“For me to strive for such a title without being in love would disgrace tradition. And since love is merely an illusion, it would be impossible to achieve.” (In other words...no.)
What does your character think of the current etoiles?
TBA when the new etoiles are announced!!
What does your character think of the other schools?
Mion finds the other Miator girls to be a bit...well...stuffy and prude (minus Yoru of course). She prefers to limit her interaction with them as much as possible. She envies the girls of Spica simply because she was not allowed to attend the school herself (her mother insisted that she was too fragile, despite knowing that Mion was heavily involved in mixed martial arts). There’s something she finds endearing about the girls of Lulim, but she doesn’t care enough to bother finding out what it is.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Miator:
Growing up, Mion’s life was fairly normal...on her terms, anyway. She had two very “loving” foster parents (her real parents were killed in a house fire when Mion was only a few days old) and a kind older brother. Sure, her foster parents’ marriage was on the brink of destruction because her foster father got a little handsy with Mion and Hikari, and her foster brother liked to drink and rarely came home unless he needed money… But in Mion’s eyes, she had the perfect family. After all, it was the only family she’d ever known, and this was the only reality she’d come to understand. The only real problem she had was living in her twin sister’s shadow. Despite the fact that Mion was the more mature sibling, Hikari was always much more playful and wild and (as a result) well-liked. It didn't really help that Mion's intense obsession with horror and gore led to her being labeled a freak. To say Mion was jealous of Hikari would be an understatement. Still, she loved her sister dearly and went to any lengths she had to in order to protect her. She became intensely interested in mixed martial arts, and began training as soon as she found out she could. It became a rather large part of her life, as well as a large part of the reason most people feared her. When the sisters met Yoru Kaguya, Mion was wary at first. Yoru had gained a rather unpleasant reputation among her peers, which made Mion very uneasy. But after a while, the two became close friends. The three girls were practically inseparable, despite their contrasting personalities. However, everything changed the day Hikari passed away. Hikari was killed in a tragic car accident, which Mion miraculously survived, when the twins were only thirteen years old. It was then that Mion finally began to understand the true reality of her life. She was a thirteen year old girl with an emotionally wrecked foster mother, an abusive foster father, an alcoholic foster brother and now...a dead twin. Yoru (who was, at the time, dealing with a plethora of her own troubles) returned to her cold state, pushing everyone away who tried to help her heal. Feeling terribly alone and frustrated, Mion followed her older brother’s path, driving away her pain with drugs and alcohol. One day the pain became too much, and she made a chilling decision; she was going to take her own life to be by her sister’s side again. She locked herself in her room with a bottle of pills and got to work. She would have been successful had it not been for Yoru’s intervention. Yoru had come looking for her so they could talk things out (this was shortly before Yoru moved in with Yukiko’s family and was sent to Astraea Hill), and when Mion didn’t come to the door, she knew exactly where to look. Mion awoke in a hospital bed to a very worried Yoru sitting beside her. They exchanged words, and Yoru gave Mion the Paramore t-shirt she treasures so much, in the hopes of sealing their friendship forever. In the heat of the moment, Mion ambushed her with a forceful kiss, completely oblivious to the obvious discomfort in the other girl’s eyes. When she finally released her, Yoru left without another word, leaving a confused Mion behind. While Mion was recovering in the hospital, she learned that Yoru had been sent off to boarding school. Upon hearing this, she begged her parents to do the same for her, not so much for her own sake, but for Yoru, so that she could be near the one person she felt could keep her grounded. Her foster mother agreed (though she faced strong resistance from her husband for rather...obvious reasons), and quickly sent Mion off to St. Miator.

The soft echo of footsteps filled the otherwise stale silence of the air. Mion’s piercing eyes scanned the empty halls, her mind completely consumed by racing thoughts. What was it that occupied the azure haired girl’s every waking thought? The same thing that had done so since the day they had met: Yoru Kaguya. The red haired musician whose very presence made Mion’s heart pound and sent her thoughts into a dizzying frenzy. Over the long period of time they had known one another, the two had gotten undeniably close. After her sister died, Yoru was the only person she truly cared for. Her body involuntarily shuddered as the burning memory of their first fiery kiss flashed through her head. Of course, that was three years ago, and Yoru hadn’t really had any say in the matter but… That was of no concern to the bluenette. The normally cold girl couldn’t help but let a small smile form. ‘I wonder if Yoru-kun will remember me…’
The silence reigned free once more as her footsteps came to a halt. She faced the door to her old friend’s dorm, her hand not yet ready to reach out and open it. She knew what awaited her behind that door. The crimson prince… The frigid musician… The girl she had been infatuated with for three long years… A slight blush rose to her pale cheeks. Even when stated in the safety of her own mind, Mion did not feel at ease admitting that she felt such frivolous emotions. It was an entirely foreign feeling.
Taking a deep breath, she shook off any residual nerves and knocked on the door. When it opened, she stepped into the room with no hesitation, ignoring the redhead’s confused stare and gently pulling the door shut behind her. Her gaze softened when she saw her darling friend staring at her in disbelief, her mouth opening just enough to utter one thing. “M-Mion-chan…?” Smirking slightly, she walked over to the boyish teen, letting her arms slowly snake their way around her shoulders. She ignored the girl’s attempt to speak, stubbornly resisting as she felt her start to wriggle out of her grasp. “Yoru-kun… I’ve missed you.”
How did you find our website?
It’s Emiko...again. I dropped two characters...and this happened. I… I just… Ugh… *silently wanders off to Character-holics Anonymous meeting*
...On a side note, Mion is also kind of a revamped version of my old charrie, Shiori (hence the last name). And she’s totally crushing on Yoru (who obviously doesn’t return her feelings, given how she’s practically ready to marry Junko at this point XD), which may or may not make things awkward between them. We shall see. She’s probably gonna keep obsessing over her until someone comes along and shows her the difference between infatuation and love.
