Here she was in the secret garden, the great library, but for once not spying or leading a girl on. Had to a first time she thought amused. It's not as if she was here innocently either, so it wasn't totally new. Bad habits die hard after all. With an amused smile they passed rows and rows of books in dark shades of worn age lined the walls and created corridors, perfect for romantic rendezvous and secret meetings. Thankfully they didn't come across any other people, so their mysterious find, remained a secret. Light flitted in through stained glass and kept the shadows lingering, it was a rather eerie situation, what with the lighting and the journal. An adventure, Kura corrected herself. Just the kind of distraction she wanted but didn't need. Rin was clutching the book like it was her life line. It seemed to Kura that this was all very strange to Rin. She looked like the kind of person who stayed out of trouble. Secretly though, Kura rather thought the small girl was enjoying this. An interesting start to her education anyway, Kura was glad she was a part of it. However if they were caught, which Kura highly doubted, since she rarely was, she decided she would take all the blame. There was no need to get someone whom she had led astray in to troubles so early on. With that thought, Kura kept a sharp ear out. It was odd but something about the Rin was so, fresh and new that Kura had rather taken to her. They walked quietly side by side until they came to the back of the library and to a small table. Kura motioned for her to put the book down on the table, and turned on the lamp so as to inspect the book better. Her family owned many old books and her old Kanji was quite good for someone of her age so she hoped it would good enough to learn something from it. Then again for all they knew it could simply be a shopping list. Somehow though, Kura doubted that. It had been locked away, and something hidden always meant something that held power over something or someone. "Would you like to open it again?" She asked Rin.

Wandering through this place have her such a grand feeling of sanctuary. The books, the way the light steamed in through the many colors of stained glass decorating the floor in rivers of chromatic beauty. She relaxed visibly and sighed. They were safe.
She followed her senpai back to the table, passing the table where she had met Ubu, her very first friend on Astraea. With that memory here, and now this, the secret garden was going to hold a lot of wonderful memories and be a very special place, closer to her heart. If it wasn't already.
She must have been daydreaming as Kura's voice snapped her back into reality. Open what? The journal!
Slowly, she released it and sank into a chair, placing it gently on the table before her. She opened it. The first page simply said "M." Right in the center. It was pretty calligraphy, and from what Run could tell, the only pay off the journal with a western letter on it. The next page, she noticed the dates. The first entry was from September 1st 1839.
"This journal was started one hundred years before word war 2 began." She noted. "That means this is from before St.Miator was built, maybe older."
The entries themselves were nothing unusual. Rin could read most of it. Though it seemed someone named Sister Clarence was the last in power, though the name didn't mean anything to Rin.
Orphaned girls from the town's were being given to the convent to become nuns. Apparently the journal author was one of these girls.
"That's so sad," said Rin sympathetically, "to lose your entire livlihood and to be shoved into a life you didn't choose..."
Rin could very much relate to the girl The one called simply "M". She wondered if M had a real name, who she was, maybe they could have been friends.
With Kura's translation, they could find out this Sister Clarence was very strict, but M made quite a big deal about how thankful she, and the others were for being taken in.
The entries mentioned chores and new girls every now and then. Nothing really ought of the ordinary.
Rin flipped ahead maybe there would be more clues closer to the missing pages....
(Stopping here to give Kura a chance to react before we find out more. Also im totally making up the dates. Let's pretend miator was built right before ww2 maybe? That gives us about a hundred years of time. Sorta makes sense."

The library was huge, shelves upon shelves of books towering over the short girl. It was almost overwhelming, but the Miator student trekked on. After all, she was on a mission. So far, she hadn't made any friends at her new school. This was...somewhat dissapointing, but nothing she couldn't live with. Especially if it meant being away from her parents.
But, back to the current situation. She wasn't a loner, by any means, and hoped to make some friends soon - which was why Ruri Izumi was in the library by herself, scanning the shelves one after another. She wouldn't give up until she had found what she was looking for, but it was hard - she had already spent an hour in the secret garden, and it was starting to get late. But, she must keep going.
It was all for the manga.
You see, if she were to get manga from the library and someone saw her, no one would want to be her friend after that! She wasn't even sure if an old catholic school like this had manga in their library, but she had to look.
Reaching the end of that row, the violet haired girl turned to move onto the next one - but the shelf that she had expected wasn't there. Instead, an open area with tables scattered around, and there were two girls sitting at one of the aforementioned tables.
Ruri froze and quickly turned back to the shelf. She had been caught in the act! No...no, wait. They didn't know her. They would have no idea what she was doing. Glancing at the two girls again, she tried to see who they were. One was a girl who looked to be about her age, with long pink hair. The other girl looked alot older, with raven hair cascading down her back. Both of them were bent over the same book, which appeared to be quite old. Ruri inched closer, trying to listen in on their conversation.
Something about being one hundred years old...they must be talking about the book! Wow, this was getting interesting. She continued to gradually move closer, and closer, until... She was right in front of their table. Oops.
She stared at the girls for a minute. Say something, stupid! "Um, that's a pretty cool book you have there," the small girl said, blushing furiously. "Do you mind if I take a look, too?"

(Sorry it's late, I had an Essay in for mon D:) It was Old alright, and Kura had never heard of a sister Clarence before. However being so old, it definitely did not belong to the chancellor, so taking it really hadn't been stealing. It was just a change of owners. Still, If was just a mundane diary, what was in those pages that had to be torn out? It was exciting and infuriating all at once. If Kura had torn out incriminating pages, she would have burnt them. If M had been as careful as Kura then those pages were lost for ever and the mystery would forever remain a mystery. That would be annoying. She hoped fate had a better turn instore for them... "Um, that's a pretty cool book you have there,Do you mind if I take a look, too?" Said a voice. Kura looked up with some surprise at the Lilac haired girl that had seemingly appeared out of no-where. She was lost for words for a few moments and then said rather lamely "Have a look?" with a confused shallow bow. How had she not noticed the girl? Had she teleported? That was just ridiculous but yet Kura hadn't even heard a creaking floorboard. Now it was too late to hide the book and the girl seemed similar to Rin in the way that she looked like she had never done anything forbidden before. "I-I guess so... I can't really hide it from you but it's a secret book, you must be very quite about it or else I will have to take action as SCP," Kura remarked disjointedly. That ought to keep the girl quite. She hoped anyway. "Although we should be more careful, I don't want the whole school finding out about this," She muttered. She had no wish to get in trouble with Minigawa-Sensei. Or land the other two in trouble. That would look terrible for her run as SCP, she didn't think even she could lie her way out of it. "Do you mind Rin-san?" She asked turning to the Pinkette who seemed to be just as surprised as she was. (Kinda Lame reply sorry )

She froze like a frightened rabbit at the sound of the other young girls voice, it sent a shiver down her spine and she stiffened again, wide eyes looking to Kura immediately. The moment of panic was quickly replaced with cautious trust. Kura's that was hopefully enough. Should she let this girl in on everything? Maybe not everything...
"N-No,." She replied "I don't mind."
She slid the journal across the table, but kept a hand on it. She was right at the last page before the very obvious stubs of the v missing pages stuck out jaggedly from the inner spine.
"This journal was written long before Miator was built," she repeated, "we think a Sister wrote it, but the only name we found is just the initial 'M', and there's pages missing, which is odd."
After letting the girl look for a moment, she politely took it back, there was more to learn after all.
The last few entries before the missing pages spoke about burial chambers, odd that M described them as peaceful and sacred rather than frightening or holy.
The entries after the form pages were less positive, there was no more mention of Sister Clarence, and much more emphasis on God's influence, forgiveness, His will and such.
"That's weird, she seemed so happy and carefree before, now she sounds very religious and stiff. I wonder if nuns suddenly change like that when they have been in the church so long? But the way she writes, she must have been about your age senpai." She said, thinking out loud.
She had entirely forgot introductions, being so wrapped up in the journal. Maybe such things could be covered later. She hoped the third mind would help make sense of all this.
"Whatever happened in those missing pages must have been really amazing to inspire such a religious dedication. M was given to the convent, it wasn't her choice to be a nun and now she sounds like she was born that way."

Blinking, Ruri wondered what was wrong. Neither of the girls had seemed very friendly towards her, and the younger one even looked scared. Did she have something on her face? Maybe they just weren't expecting company. What if they were lovers on a date? She would feel bad if that was the situation, it was never good to interrupt something like that. But, even if that was the case, there was no helping it now. She had already asked to see the book, it was interesting, after all.
The black haired girl seemed really scary, though. So, this was the student council president? "You must be Kuramiko Akoyama, then. It's nice to meet you, Akoyama-san. And don't worry about it, I won't tell anyone." Not that she had anyone to tell.
She silently accepted the book from the pink haired girl, not touching it, but leaning down so she could see it better. What she said was true, it was really old. The pages were yellowed and faded, but it still gave off a feeling if importance.
When the girl pulled the book away, Ruri stood up straight and tried to think about all the information she had recieved. So the author of this book was a young nun known only as M, who seemed to change personalities very quickly and talked about catacombs.
"Hmm," she mused. It reminded her of the plot of a tv show her sister liked. "Maybe they brainwashed her. Or she has a psychological problem," she continued. "I wonder what the rest of the book said that was apparently so bad or secretive that it had to ripped out. Maybe there was a scandal."
Interested now, she pulled up a chair and sat beside the pink haired girl. "I hope you don't kind me intruding. My name's Ruri Izumi," she said. "I wonder where these burial chambers are." Turning to Kuramiko, she asked "Have you ever heard of anything like it?"

Kuramiko-san? Kura felt utterly scandalised by the use of her first name and the low honorific. Evidently the young girl was from a less informed family. It shouldn't be of importance but if she did not correct it she might be san for the rest of her life! The lilac haired girl then introduced herself as Ruri Izami. Ruri then proceeded to ask about the journal. True as it was that Kura collected all matter of secretive knowledge, her knowledge did not extend to that far in the past. "That's Akoyama-sama to you," she said curtly "I have never heard of burial chambers in Miator. However we have a church and a graveyard, the ruins and a few underground passes, any one of those might be connected," Kura took a sharp look at the book and glanced at the pages. It was indeed quite a change in view. "Religious experience perhaps? Or she has strayed and is trying to cover it up. That might explain the torn pages," she mused out loud.
"Whilst I'm at it may I introduce you to Rin Minigawa," she added, lazily gesturing with a hand. It would be a crime to leave her unintroduced. Perhaps she was being slightly rude. The suprise appearance had hurt Kura's pride somewhat and left her grouchy. To make up for it she offerd them a smile and noticed how attached Rin was to the book. That may not be a good thing, however perhaps if Rin were to keep it it would be less incriminating. After all it was the Minigawa family. "Perhaps you should become the guardian of the book Rin-san?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "could you keep it safe whilst we solve this mystery?" that might leave the new girl a little out of it. "You Izami-san. Could you do some investigative work with Rin? I'll see if it's anywhere in council meeting minuets," she said finally. Still they could study it a little more here now.

By Kura's tone, it seemed the girl was somewhat offended. Her mood seemed to turn sour as she gestured at Rin with her introduction; she offered a kind smile to the girl who seemed about her age. It was a genuine expression, in spite of her guilty fear a moment ago.
So, the burial chambers. Rin's mind worked quickly. There was a church on campus, a very old church. In fact, if Rin recalled, the church never had proper lighting installed so as to protect the original masonry. It was still lit by candles and daylight alone. "I wonder," she mused, "Perhaps...perhaps there's more clues at the church. More than likely, M may have lived there in the very church here on campus, there's bound to be a clue. As for the few underground passes...well catacombs are usually underground, right?" her lips twitched, "but who knows if they still exist or are even near by."
She stopped then, suddenly as Kura suggested she watch over the book. Eh? Really? She was stunned, but the feeling came out as a sensible nod followed by a "Yes, I think that's a good idea." She really did love books, especially interesting ones like this. But this one was all the more important to her, this was history on the very place she was walking upon. And there was still more journal to go. It would take a long time to read all of it, but Rin was determined. Kura was sounding like she had somewhere to be, and Rin gave another cheerful grin to Ruri. She was actually relieved to have someone her age involved.
"I want to read the rest of it, maybe we can meet somewhere tomorrow and I can tell you what we found out?" She asked Kura. She knew she'd have the rest of the journal read overnight, even if she couldn't understand all of it. But in the mean time..."Izami-san, she began and then her lips twisted to one side thoughtfully, "Ano...can I call you Ruri-chan?" she would smile at the answer and continue, "Would you like to come with me to the church?"
(This opens up a way to connect to Coyote's thread up there.)

Ruri felt a twitch of irritation at Kuramiko's words. So arrogant! Sure, she was the student council president, but that didn't give her the right to go bossing people around. She then said that she didn't know anything about burial chambers, but mentioned some other old landmarks on campus. When Rin brought up the church as well, Ruri was sure there must be a connection.
When "Akoyama-sama" introduced the girl sitting next to her, the violet haired girl tilted her head. Before she had come to the school, she had read all about in pamphlets and online. If she remembered correctly, Rin Minigawa was the name of the assistant chancellor here at Miator. "It's nice to meet you, Rin-chan!" Ruri smiled. Maybe this girl would be her first friend at this new place. "Um, are you by chance related to Minigawa-sensei?"
Kuramiko smiled at them before entrusting Rin with the journal. Hmph, she could smile all she wanted, but that still wouldn't make up for her being a narcissist. Huh? Now she was talking to her? "Yeah," Ruri answered. "I'd love to help out, Akoyama-baka." She may have muttered that last part a bit, though...
Rin smiled at her again, and she wasted no time in smiling back. This girl seemed really nice, suddenly, Ruri found herself glad that she had come to the library tonight. "I'd love to come with you, Rin-chan! And don't worry," she continued. "I'm not picky about honorifics, like some people." She threw a look towards the older girl at the table before standing up.
"Ready to go?"

Rin seemed happy to have the book, which was good to Kura. After all what with Asami and all those duties she had, she could hardly carry around a book without question. The church huh? If that was their next place of searching Kura would definitely miss her meeting... Then again she rarely used to go, it could hardly be helped, this was far more interesting. It was somewhat of a mystery to herself why she was so intent on keeping Rin happy. She had put it down to maternal instinct. Perhaps inaccurately. Was that baka? Kura threw a sharp glare at the girl. Then she made a sly comment about honorific's. Kura drew to her full height and turned violet eyes to the lilac hair. How immature could you be? Not to mention plain rude. She made a mental note to look at Ruri's file. It was simply a manner of hierarchy. Ruri had taken too much offence at a simple correction. Obviously Miator had a long way to go before the liliac haired girl could become a lady. "Well now that we are all acquainted, I leave it to you to decide where we go next." she said sourly. "Rin-san, you have the book so you can be in charge of the mystery," she said. Of course she fully intended to make sure things still went a sensible direction, but letting Rin be in charge would make her happy she hoped. "I don't know why I'm bothering to say this to you." Kura started to Ruri, "But as I said, if it looks like you are in trouble, direct the blame towards me and I'll sort it out," she meant for that only to apply to Rin but since Rin had taken to Ruri, she felt it had to be said. So she had left the decision in Rin's hands. Hopefully their next call would be the church which Kura agreed would be the most likely place to find something. She looked towards Rin for direction, right over a lilac head. (I like the contrast between the character relationships! Good one Ruri! )

Kura senpai was coming after all? It seemed somehow the feeling Rin had that the girl was going to leave had worn away, though she nervously blamed at the tension between her classmate and the older girl. Still, they couldn't just walk there now. Could they?
Kura suddenly made a point about what to do if they got in trouble. This made Rin think. Getting in trouble....
She put a manicured finger to her chin thoughtfully.
"Ne," she said, "if we start looking around the church now, won't we look suspicious? What if a Sister asks what we're doing? Or worse, doesn't like us searching around and being nuisances? We..." Rin couldn't believe she was about to suggest something so against the rules, "might try taking a peek during the day...but...Should do our real searching after dark."
She paused rather dramatically, quietly looking between the two, half afraid of what they would say. She just suggested breaking curfew, and in front of the SCP as well as a fellow classmate she didn't know. Then again, her senpai had helped steal a book and this other girl somehow didn't seem to be the type to taddle unless there was really something in it for her, and maybe not then if the trust was just right.
She breathed,
"Hai." She said certainly, "One of us should go look around the church, another should get supplies; flashlights, a backpack for if we find anything and I will study the journal. We meet outside the church at ten, after lights out. Okay?"
She suddenly felt strange, exciting to be taking the lead, but at the same time terrifying, like getting on a horse and not knowing if it's going to calmly walk forward or start running and bucking. Suddenly unsure of herself, she shrank back "ano, if that sounds reasonable. I understand it's breaking the rules.."
She looked at the others, somehow expecting a mischievous grin to emerge from them...surprised, she realized, she was the one grinning.
(While still looking adorable and innocent! Okay so i figured kura could get supplies, since no one would suspect scp having bags and flashlights. Ruri could go to the church, an inconspicuous first year could be "just fascinated" with the architecture, whileRin reads the book-no need to rp all that. We simply tie up this thread and first person to post in coyotes thread in the church titled "i can see my dorm!" Just sort of sums up that's what everyone was doing the past few hours dnd the other two shall follow and continue the thread. Can't wait!)
