Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
She's pretty flirty, and very confident, which has led her to have more relationships than her older sisters. She has no idea how to handle one though, and often tries to be in control even though she has no idea what it means to cooperate. The person who puts her in her place will undoubtedly be the one she clings to. She is, despite this, very comfortable with friends, very rarely catching herself in an awkward moment. Her idea of a fun time is a sneaky movie and getaway with someone she likes, or overall proving herself right.
She sees life as a party. One wild party that she can do whatever she wants in. Due to this, she has no regrets, rarely gets upset, and is constantly trying new things. Including people. Her least favorite thing to do is get bossed around.
Well, that's how she used to be anyway. Nowadays, after her reformation, she's a born-again shrine maiden. Very reserved, and she TRIES to be polite. Her old flirty ways haven't left her, but she no longer goes out of her way to defy the rules put on her for the sake of defying them. She's not the brightest and not the friendliest, but she's trying. That counts for something right?
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
Stuffy, boring desk job. That's hat she thinks.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
Not really. Too much presure.
What does your character think of Sado Kagami and Kitsuki Sha, the current etoiles?
Though she's never met them personally, she doesn't particularly like Sado. Something about an inner reflection, I don't know, she wouldn't tell me. She thinks Kitsuki is adorable though, and that if she only knew how to harness her charm for her own needs, she would be way more influential around here.
What does your character think of the other schools?
Naomi sees the rivalry with Miator as a game. A really fun, one sided one at that. But she does hold some respect for it, since her departed sister used to attend.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
Naomi grew up with her younger sister Ryoko, and due to this is very much a polar opposite. She doesn't sing, can't stay polite or calm in the slightest, and her talent is entirely internal; she is very good at getting what she wants by out thinking people. Manipulative isn't the right word; more like intriguingly motivated. She has only dated boys, and has honestly never even considered dating women. Her parents had signed her up for Spica as punishment; she was wild and out of control, so they sent her somewhere she couldn't date boys, somewhere that required much dedication, and somewhere she could be watched by her older sister from a distance.
She really doesn't like the idea of being away from boys, parties, or friends, but she will make the best of it. If she meets anyone who can keep her in line, they'll expect to be given genuine affection, not just the expected fling she has given to so many others. In a way, she could be considered unruly, but she calls it a party. Now she plans on bringing that party to Spica.
First Year: Naomi has become well adjusted to her new life among only women and has gone out of her way to enrage her parents by becoming bisexual to make their efforts useless. She keeps in constant contact with boys over the internet and has ever since she met with Chiyo and Arceia become very interested in girls as well, particularly a sixth year from Miator she met at the Winter Ball. Her interest in women is more based on grudge and revenge toward her parents than genuine attraction, so she will often date a girl for a few days, just long enough to send a picture of her and the girl to her parents, and then break up with her.
She is developing a bad reputation, and doesn't care.
Second Year: Naomi went to rehab after learning of her fate to come. This took up almost her entire second year of school, despite finding herself in her first real relationship just days before leaving. She entrusts her secrets to others now, most often Chiyo, her friend and fellow shrine maiden. If not for her, Yumiko, and Arceia, Naomi would most likely have killed herself after the passing of her beloved sister Ryoko.
Third Year:
Fourth Year:
Fifth Year:
Sixth Year:
Sample Post:
Must've dreamed a thousand dreams...
Been haunted by a million screams...
By I can see the marching feet...
They're moving into the street...
Something about campus just wasn't very comforting. At least, not in a while. Rehab became her home for so long that, even though she had been out a long time, she felt her support chain all but vanish. The only thing that she truly had with her in her heart still was the loving memory of her departed sister, and the thought that she might soon see some familiar faces that she missed. Chiyo, who spiritually guided her onto the right path, would be great to talk to right now. Yumiko, bless the girl, got Naomi into physical activities that have kept her healthy and alert. Ryoko, rest her soul, was the straw that broke the camel's back- The cause for her to need to change. One such change made itself obvious enough. As she finished the chorus to herself, she quietly began the second verse. She was fairly well toned to the melody, though an element was missing- Her heart wasn't in it. She simple carried her voice through the song, with no emotional inflection driving any portion of it.
Superman, where are you now...
When everything's gone wrong somehow...
The man of steel? These men of power...
We're losing control by the hour...
There wasn't a soul to her song. The intention of carrying Ryoko along through her life in song was there, but the lack in soul to the voice was clear. Why? What is it she lacked that her sister had? Training perhaps? Maybe it was the damage from smoking? Whatever the cause, her voice wasn't BAD. Just... Not whole. There was an emptiness to it. And try as she might, she couldn't muster the confidence to sing for anyone else to see what she lacked. Somehow, miss outgoing party girl had developed a shyness complex.
And that shyness was costing her precious information to perfect her tribute to her sister.
This is the world we live in...
And these are the hands we're given...
Use them and let's start trying...
To make it a place worth living in...
Was her world worth living in? Well, yes. But she had already lost so much that it seemed she would be stuck where she is, forever. It wouldn't be so bad, that fate- It would mean she would remain healthy and mostly happy. So here, alone in the corral, stood Naomi Amaterasu. Last remaining daughter of the Amaterasu family, who would be expected to marry into another family, effective ending her bloodline's namesake. This was a heavy weight, but it wasn't news to her. That's part of why she became who she was. And why she became who she is now is from learning to accept help and admit difficulty every now and then.
Looking nothing like she did her first year, or even the year after that, Naomi would probably seem like a new person- A risen phoenix, in a sense.
