Is your character on the Student Council: Yes
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president?
Himiko Miyamae.
A bit of an aloof character, which kind of makes you doubt if she’s serious for the position or not. But when the time comes to be serious, she clearly gives it her all. So at the very least, Kakura can appreciate her leadership of the council
What does your character think of the
Etoile Position as a Whole?
Etoile is little more than the “Homecoming Queen” of the Campus in Kakura’s eyes.
Would it be nice to be that popular? Maybe, but the added responsibilities would be too much.
It can also be viewed as being a bit childish and silly. What are we, real life barbie dolls? No, we're human beings.
If you wanna be serious and get good grades do that, if you wanna live, then live. But don't pretend to be something you're not. Thats what Kakura thinks of the Etoile Position. A game of dressup that takes away from the real sense and meaning of a person.
Does your character want to be
Etoile someday?
If another girl truly believed in Kakura enough to ask her to be the Etoile, she would accept being a partner. But as far as running for her own ‘ambitions’, Kakura’s past is too dark and her pain too great.
Because of the death of her father, she really doesn't want to take on responsibility anymore. Sure, she'll make herself look nice but her room's a different story. Sometimes she won't iron out her clothes, etc.
Becoming Etoile would mean embracing and enduring the entire facility's expectations and burdens and Kakura might not be up for that.
Unless she inherits the strength from deep within her to carry on and preserve.
Spica and Le Rim.
On first glance, you might think that Spica would be the first school of choice for Kakura. Kakura thought so as well. There's more programs in Spica, and the standards there are high as well.
But Spica's quickly growing to be the most popular school of all three and Kakura wants something more than anything else: Privacy.
Le Rim is smaller than Spica and bigger than Miator. Unfortunately, Le Rim suffers from Miator's lack of extracurricular activities and in addition, it's always been a childish school. She wouldn't find the kind of mentors and people she needs to find to get her life back on track.
Explain your character in 200 words or more:
Kakura Taiyo’s an outgoing, energetic young lady on the outside. But on the inside, the gutwrenching pain tears her apart and she’s responded through a rebellious phase in her life. A heavy flirt, she used to do so because she was once genuinely interested in having a lover.(Be it BF/ or GF) but now, Kakura just wants to seal away the pain in anyway she can. Love doesn’t matter, she’s promiscuous and she really doesn’t see the big deal in engaging in immoral affairs. Image and class and all of those other things only matters to people who’s alive. To her, she’s already dead.
Her friends are mostly on the shady side, she’s gotten into fights and gossip. Things of that nature. Because of who she is in general, she looks down on everyone including herself. All living beings are just puppets on a string to her, especially those who conform to ‘laws’ and ‘authority’. Even though Kakura wants to seal away the pain, arguably that’s not the best thing for her. The best thing is for Kakura to be released from the shackles of pain, so that the fake smile she shows can become her real smile.
Will someone free her?
Kakura’s Past
Kakura Taiyo was born to a family of two. Her mother, a doctor and her father a police officer. The young Kakura was instilled with mannerism and grace and had a pleasant attitude. Their income wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either and as an only child she got to enjoy certain advantages that others didn’t. Life was seemingly blissful for Kagura.
Until one day, her father went out on a daily patrol. Her mother always feared for her husband’s safety and encouraged him to take a different career route, which he was going to do next year as a carpenter. Unfortunately, there was no next year…..
In the line of duty…..while chasing down armed robbers, her father was shot and killed in cold blood. They feared the worst when her father didn’t come home, and when the authorities hesitated on giving an answer initially. But when the truth was revealed, it struck a deep chord inside Kakura. Her father was always a kind and loving man, who once expressed that he carried a gun not because he liked violence, but because he hated it and that by serving the Force, he could keep his family safe from violence.
Kakura began to become incredibly rebellious, it was the only way she knew how to channel her inner anger and frustration. She started being Tardy from school and even had drinking party at her house while her mother wasn’t home. Her mother, who eventually found out was furious. As the two of them had the fiercest argument a mother and daughter could have, Kakura began packing her bags.
“Where do you think you’re going, Kakura!?” Her mother yelled at her and Kakura yelled back “To a place where I can be appreciated, a place I can be loved! A place where I can be me! That’s no longer here.”
“Oh, and where do you think this place is?” Her mother asked sarcastically and Kakura smiled. “You remember, don’t you? Father’s wish. He wanted me to attend Miator. Well, I was approved and I’ll be moving there next month.”
Her mother scoffed. “And you think you’ll be loved there? Those girls aren’t like you. They’re highly refined girls with a sense of purpose, you were once like that but now you’ve become a thug. You bring shame to your father, to the family!”
Kakura took a family portrait that was hanging on the wall and slammed it down on the ground, breaking it. “Who gives a crap? There’s no family anymore! Father’s dead! And I’m not shaming him, the ones who shammed him were those bastards at the police department who couldn’t give daddy backup! Even though he always came when called upon….”
She cried out, took her luggage and ran from home. To her mother, Kakura was a 16 year old girl on a grieving journey. A journey to find what she once lost, when she lost the one person closest to her. It was probably for the best to

Even though the admissions wasn’t for a whole month, she had heard that various students still lived in the dorms even during break. She smiled a bit, Astraea Hill seemed more like a retreat than a school. The garden was beautiful and the leaves reflected the calm winds. But more than that, it was as if this place beckons girls themselves. As if Eve’s Garden had transported from Heaven to our mundane world. She found herself walking in awe. Her mother was partially correct about the social differences. While she wore a strapped T-Shirt with shorts and boots, the other girls were much more refined. She once read that Miator was the most strict of the 3 schools as well as the most traditional. That might take some getting used to, but clearly it was the most magical of the schools.
She then started walking through the Sacred Garden. She had read stories about how love and couples came through here. Of course, she wasn’t looking for love. She couldn’t. Her heart is so pitch-black and cold that she’s doing this just to separate herself from the world. And even then, it’s only going to last her 2 years. She cursed this fact, why couldn’t she have been younger when the accident happened? Actually, it’s better to say why couldn’t time stand still? Forever slumbering in this eternal garden of bliss, that’s certainly better than living like a lifeless doll.
Then, out of the corner view of her eye, a Miator student appeared or no, was she a teacher? She looked too old to be student, yet too young to be a student. Her long, beautiful pink hair was only matched by her blue eyes. She was caught staring and blushing at the unnamed student/teacher.
“What are you doing here?” She asked in a soft, and yet stern voice that demanded respect and attention. For some odd reason, whereas she was able to flip the bird on her mother, this Miator person was different. She felt some kind of respect and admiration for her. But she still tried to put up a front.
“Does it matter what I’m doing here?” Kakura spit on the ground, trying to act like a tough person. But it didn’t phase her at all, in fact the older woman started to look down on her and started scolding her. “If you’re a lady on these premises, act with more dignity!” Kakura frowned. “Dignity? I don’t care about that, I’m just here for myself and no one else.” The older woman sighed. “Without dignity, a woman can never be a woman. You might have a feminine body, but you don’t have a feminine soul.” “Your name?”
“It’s Kakura. Now, look I’m trying to find the reception desk and get my things. I just happened to stop here and it wasn’t to be lectured by you!”. The older Miator student put up her hand to silence Kakura, this angered her but she bit her tongue.
“I’m not trying to lecture you, I’m trying to guide you. There’s a difference.” She said it softly, and her choice of words had an effect on Kakura. Up until now, everyone had been trying to change her, to make her live life the way they want her to live it. But this girl may have been different. She wanted to guide her?
“Guide me?” Kakura’s tone changed, and she was now receptive to the older Miator student’s words. “That tone’s more suitable for a lady. My name’s Rin Minigawa, the assistant Chancellor of Miator. If it’s the reception desk, I can show it to you.” She offered with a curtsy and a bow. Kaguya bowed back and Rin smiled. “See, you can be a lady if you try to be.”
“Rin-Senpai…” Kaguya blushed for the first time since the accident, having admiration and respect for this older person. “Sorry, for the nasty things I said earlier.” Kaguya apologized. Rin dismissed it. “It’s okay, you just transferred here. All of the transfers and new students have difficulty adjusting from their former situations to Miator. But Kaguya-chan, I can feel it. I feel like you’ll be a terrific addition to the Miator Family.”
Rin-Senpai held out her hand and Kaguya slowly accepted it. It was the first hand that she held since her father’s death, and it was a hand that would take her inside the closed gates that would protect her fragile heart.
