Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Growing up, Desirae had always been the odd ball, especially within in her family. It's not like her siblings weren't strange too, but she was the one who stood out the most. Her family is all about being normal, normal friends, normal conversations and normal life, but for Desirae, it was always completely different. Early in her childhood, somehow she knew that she was not exactly like all the other children around her. As she began to age, things started becoming a lot more clear, life couldn't be any blacker like an abyss. This happy, cheerful personality wasn't for her, it wasn't her at all. She had become a lot quieter and kept to herself most of the time, not to mention the mysterious attitude she had towards others. Yes, Desirae used to be this sweet, compassionate girl, but she didn't want to be that anymore. At times, she would give others the cold shoulder, hinting that sometimes she could be as cold as a December night. Although, Desirae was very helpful, very generous, but only to the ones she trusted or liked.
Aside from those aspects of Desirae's personality, she was extremely intelligent, but she lets it go to waste. If she would apply herself much more than she did now, Desirae would reach success. Alas, she is far too lazy and too distracted with other things to even set her mind on schoolwork. Not only does her mind get pulled away from the grades, tests and homework, it melts to complete mush around crushes. Being as stubborn as she is, Desirae discards the romantic and lustful feelings after a destructive break-up a few years ago. Its as if Desirae had metamorphosed into a stone, hard-headed statue with no heart, but if you catch her at the right moments, you can see the slight sweetheart side come out of her.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? She thinks of it as a role that's earned and given to the right person who has worked hard to achieve it. One day she'll possibly be able to be Etoile, unfortunately, she doesn't have anyone to do it with and she's quite frightened to take such a large responsibility.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Someday.
What does your character think of Shizuka Myuzu and Chokone Manatsu, the current Etoiles?
What does your character think of the other schools? Desirae finds the feud between the other schools to be completely silly, but Miator seems to have respectable students, uniforms and they're very friendly once you get to know them. Spica, on the other hand, seems have very intelligent students, they're very proper and well behaved.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill: Desirae didn't have the life that she or any other person would long or desire for, but she pushes through it like nothing ever happens. Her father walked out of her mothers life when he found out that she had been pregnant with Desirae. He felt as if he couldn't hold the responsibility of taking care of a child, so he left the night Desirae was born. Years later, her mother had developed the abuse of alcohol and found herself drinking her life away until Desirae had opened her eyes. They didn't have much money considering her mother had been spending most of it on tequila and vodka. Finally once her mother had been cleansed of the sorrowful state of depression consuming her life, she remarried, creating her younger brothers, Kai and Ku, twins. Eventually, Desirae had became a subject of neglect, her mother paid no attention to her, not an ounce. Her new husband had been her one source of happiness, including the boys, since Desirae had held the memories of a walk-out father, her mother couldn't even glance at her. Once Desirae gathered up enough courage, she saved up for boarding school and enrolled in St. Lulim at the age of twelve.
First Year: It was the year she finally got away from her mother and her 'god' of a husband. This year had been a bit lonely since she hadn't been the social butterfly. During her first year Desirae mainly focused on her studies, good grades of course, but sometimes it felt weird being a new student. It was pretty relaxing though, not having to hear her mothers mouth, no one to tell you what to do 24/7 and it was practically a vacation for Desirae.
Second Year: Almost the same as last year, no friends, but she joined a few clubs here and there, getting to know a few people. Sometimes it gets a little lonely for the fact there is many people to talk to, but she gets over because it was like this back in her hometown, so no big deal.
Third Year: She chatted with a few people here and there in her many, different classes, but did make one friend, her name was Kitsuki.. Desirae gets very socially awkward or socially nervous because she's never good at making new friends or just speaking in general, but she didn't have to speak to Kitsuki because she was deaf. She's noticed that everyone had been chatting about some things posted in the bell walkways, gossip! Just a bunch of gossip. Kitsuki was part of the drama and gossip going around. She liked Sado-kun??? Desirae though that Kitsuki and Sado didn't even like each other. Weird... But now Shoka's trying to steal Kitsuki's heart, but she doesn't return her feelings? Wow.
Fourth Year: After following some of the gossip and drama going on Kitsuki, Desirae began feeling very sorry for her. Being close friends with her, it was difficult trying to understand the whole rape thing, getting her heart broken and being crushed on by Shoka. Desirae definitely was compassionate towards Kitsuki, maybe a little too compassionate, but things would never get further than the friendship they have now because a crush on her best friend would put tons of stress on Kitsuki. She's already going through so much as it is. On the other hand, Desirae tried looking at different colleges and universities considering she'd be going away to one after she was finished at Lulim's. And after reading a few things in the hallways, she's noticed that someone really loves stirring up the drama bowl. She doesn't exactly understand why someone would even want to do anything like that anyway, if they get discovered, boy, it won't be good. Although, its got Desirae thinking that what if these things this anonymous person is saying, is true?
Fifth Year: This is her current year, she's very eager to graduate and go on to bigger and better things in life. Still, she doesn't have many friends or any, but she doesn't mind, as long as she's got an education is all that matters. She's chosen to ignore all the rumors posted up in the hallways because she thinks it's silly that someone would go to all this trouble to post rumors like that. Its quite frightening actually, suicides, rapes, and broken hearts, its scary, but if Desirae tries to keep away from it, she won't ever get involved.
Sixth Year:
Sample Post: On a fine Sunday morning, Desirae rose from the single bed and wandered towards the window on the backside of the bedroom. The palms of her hands ran along the silky, coral colored curtains, pushing them apart slightly. Through the crack of the curtains, a stream of warm light rayed in and scanned over Desirae's face. Her roommate had been asleep and out of respect, Desirae only kept them open an inch. There hadn't been many clouds in the sea of blue above the ground, but a few orphans had floated across slowly. She slipped her feet into the monkey slippers in front of her bed, leaving it a mess like she usually does. Quietly, Desirae slipped out of the bedroom and down the corridor, reaching the edge of the staircase. Step by step, step by step, Desirae tiptoed down the staircase and wandered far off and away from her bedroom. After approximately fifteen minutes, she reached the old ballroom that they used for dances or other special occasions, but they hadn't had any lately. The windows scattered largely throughout the room and sprawled across the walls, one by one. Sun and beams of light came into the room, reflecting onto the white, tiled floor and spreading along a white piano that sat in the center of the room. It was the only object inside of the ballroom, drawing Desirae's attention in. She strolled inside cautiously, gazing around to ensure no one had been awake or in the area. Desirae sat down on the bench in front of the piano and used her index finger to run across the keys lightly, not making a sound.
