What kind of clothes does your character wear when she's not in uniform?
Anything sporty (whether team apparel or actual sports gear) can probably be found in Jamie’s closet. She owns a rather large assortment of basketball and football jerseys, which she wears whenever she can. When she’s not wearing those, she’s likely wearing some sort of brightly colored t-shirt, a baseball cap, and of course her trademark skinny jeans. Let’s not forget her red converse high tops, which she’s almost never seen without.
What Sports/activities is you character involved in?
Choir: Yes
Vollyball: Yes
Archery: Yes
Is your character on the Student Council? -Yes
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president, Himiko Miyamae? Jamie greatly admires Himiko’s enthusiasm and determination. She sees a lot of herself in her, and is happy to be under the leadership of someone with such an outgoing personality.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Jamie is hot-headed, good-hearted, and quite often too quick to speak and act. She has a bad habit of saying the first thing that pops into her head (which sometimes results in her saying some very strange and stupid things). For this reason, people tend to label her as something of an idiot. But make no mistake; She is significantly more intelligent than people give her credit for. She's merely much, much less reserved when it comes to voicing her opinion than most. When she does take the necessary time to think things through (and this is difficult for her mainly because she has too much energy and can't calm down enough most of the time) she's easily as strategic as anyone else. Another often overlooked aspect of Jamie is that she is an awesome judge of character once she's gotten past the first impression. She knows more or less who to trust, and is able to see through people’s facades with relative ease. If someone needs a reality check, it rarely takes her long to ferret out the best thing to say (even though, as noted before, it might take a little while before the right thing comes out due to her tendency to speak without thinking). The same applies to situations in which she is asked to give advice; it might take her a while to come up with something reasonable, but rest assured, what she does come up with will be something worth waiting for. Despite her reputation as a ditzy fool, she really does have a good head on her shoulders. Jamie is not at all afraid to approach people she finds interesting and always makes sure to present a more approachable manner herself. She’s the textbook definition of a social butterfly. Her loyalty to her friends is everlasting and unfaltering, which is why she is said to have a personality similar to that of a dog. A little on the ditzy side, sweet as can be, and ever-loyal. The thing with Jamie, though, is that she is capable of making enemies just as easily as friends. Her loud mouth and opinionated nature have gotten her into more trouble than she’d care to admit. It’s not at all difficult to get her riled up. She maintains little fear in regards to confrontation, physical or otherwise. Back in her hometown, she’d earned a reputation as “a pit bull in a chihuahua’s body” due to the combination of her aggressive personality and her diminutive stature.
What does your character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
She absolutely adores the idea of two girls putting their love on display for the world to see. It sounds both romantic and fun.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
Sure, if she found someone willing to run with her.
What does your character think of ---- and ----, the current etoiles? TBA when the new etoiles are announced!
What does your character think of the other schools? The Miator-Spica rivalry is right up Jamie’s alley. Competitive as she is, she takes every opportunity she gets to showcase her school pride. As for Lulim… Well, the only thing she can say is that their uniforms are adorable.
~History~
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Spica.
Jamie was born into a fairly typical middle-class family. Her mother, Minami, had met her father, Edward, during a visit to America courtesy of a foreign exchange program. Several years later, they were married, and now have a total of six children. Jamie and her twin brother Jake are the oldest, followed by four younger sisters (Marie, Brielle, Ami, and Cadence). Despite the somewhat...crowded living conditions, life at the Michaelis household was pretty normal for the first few years of Jamie’s life. Everyone was happy and everything was great. That is...until her father started working the night shift. That was the point when Jamie’s picturesque family began to crumble. As it turned out, Edward was not really working; he was seeing another woman behind Minami’s back. The evidence leading up to the big reveal had already caused countless fights so by the time the divorce process began, the children had already been expecting it. Jamie was devastated by the whole affair, clinging to her mother’s side like there was no tomorrow. Jake, however, sided with their father, which caused extreme tension between the once inseparable twins. Eventually, the divorce was finalized, and Minami took her leave back to Japan, taking Jamie and her sisters with her. Not surprisingly, Jake had chosen to stay with his father. Once they arrived in their new home, their lives continued to go down the drain. The emotionally distraught Minami began bringing countless men home after spending her nights drinking her sorrows away in various bars. The drastic change in her mother’s personality both frightened and angered Jamie, who quickly stepped up to take her place in raising her siblings. Seeing how miserable she was at home, a kindly relative pulled a few strings and convinced Minami to send her to Astraea Hill in the hopes of giving her a chance to be a teenager rather than a makeshift mother.

Jamie stared blankly at the tattered photo in her hand. The smiling faces of her parents seemed to taunt her, their stares burning holes in her heart. Warm tears spilled from her deep azure orbs, dripping softly onto the picture’s glossy surface. How could something like this have happened? She crushed the photo in her trembling hand, tossing it angrily to the rain-soaked ground. Seething, she swung her duffel bag over her shoulder and trudged on. It was funny how walking through the forest, which had once been her favorite pastime, now seemed like an endless journey through the depths of Hell. Thunder rumbled lightly in the distance as sparse bursts of lightning lit up the sky. The thick blanket of charcoal grey clouds made the world seem dark. And in the eyes of the distraught teen, that’s exactly what the world was. Dark. Empty. Colorless. Cruel.
Still trembling, she began to run, salty tears mixing with the rain that hit her face. She didn’t know where she was going. All she knew was that she needed to run. She needed to get away. She was so immersed in her own swirling thoughts that she took no notice of the path she traveled. Not a few moments later, she felt herself falling. A mix of slimy mud and grass caught her knees as she hit the ground with a soft thud. Her chest heaved with every shaky breath, her heart pounding violently. As she looked around for the culprit behind her accident, something caught her eye. It was a small, white flower that appeared to have been in the beginning stages of growth. Its petals were torn, its stem completely ripped out of the dirt. She must have stepped on it when her feet skidded out from under her. And now it was dead. Dead before it even had the chance to truly live. She felt a small twinge of pain in her heart, but quickly brushed it off. It was just a flower, after all...right?
