Name: Yamada Mana (strawberries)
Gender: Female.
Age: 15
Year in school: Fourth year
School Attending: St. Spica
Partner: none
Room mate: Naomi Ameterasu
Appearance: Mana is slightly short, with a slow, stoic walk that makes her appear older than she actually is. Other than how pale white her skin is, there is nothing particularly outstanding from the rest of the students.
Hair color: A dark, royal blue, almost black.
Hair style: She lets it hang down straight, slightly below her shoulders. Her hair ribbons do not serve a purpose in tying back lose hair, but are rather just clipped in as an accessory.
Eye color: A very deep green. If you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes, you'll find that these two 'windows of the soul' don't have much to reveal, nor do they seem to wander in the gaze of others...Perhaps, there's something behind them they are trying to protect?
Height: 160 cm (5 ft 3 in.)
Dress: St. Spica uniform; tends to dress plainly outside of school, sometimes minimally accessorizing to add a 'feminine' touch. She dresses to blend in, favoring dark clothing, though because of this, Mana isn't very keen of wearing Spica's uniform being the brightest colored uniform and in her opinion, making her 'stand out above students from the other schools'.
glasses: Does not wear eye correction.
Personality: A soft-spoken girl. She is calm, and caring with a deep love for those closest to her. She gets along well with others, getting to know them from a distance before interacting with them. She is friendly and can make decent conversation with just about anyone however the tends to be shy and awkward about approaching others.
She's not very good at sports and in general has a personality that would probably be better suited for the laid-back school of Le Rim, but doesn't have any say in the matter whatsoever at this point.
History: As a kid, Mana grew up in the private Catholic schooling system. She never really spoke to any boys with her classes being gender-assigned, and would try to talk to the girls, but always end up getting nervous, turn red and walk away. She would return right home after school, because the boys always made fun of her, and the girls...well, they were really confusing. So she ended up spending most of her time talking and playing games with her brother. He and she grew very attached, and Mana began to rely on him for everything; from teaching her how to make friends, to protecting and taking care of her. Within their time together, he became her guardian, her best friend, and her guiding light. This was, of course, until the Second grade of middle school (8th grade) when her brother transferred into another high school, and started coming home more and more run down every day. She became friends quickly with a girl in her class named Tomomi. Her brother after becoming so tired that he collapsed in school, became very ill and was taken to the hospital. The few weeks he was there, she struggled to maintain her relationships with her brother and Tomomi, until eventually, Tomomi stopped coming to visit. She began to ignore Mana, never bothering to answer her phone calls, acting like she didn't exist. Mana's mother realized that her daughter was missing school to look after her older brother, and told her to go back, only to be made unwelcome by a very cold Tomomi. After being shunned by Tomomi in front of all her new friends, Mana runs into her distant companion after school and demands to know why Tomomi's been ignoring her and being so mean. The answer she got was worse than she could have ever expected, when her 'once' amigo commanded her in a manner that could only be described as annoyed and irritated to stop calling her, and stop following her around like they were bosom buddies, because they are not. She tells Mana without the slightest hesitation that she had only pretended to like her to get close to her brother and now that her brother is incapacitated she is of no use to her and is simply an annoyance, telling Mana that she is pathetic and leaving her by herself in the rain to cry. She stops one last time at the hospital, to tell him what happened and he holds her as they cry together, and promises he'll always be with her for the last time as he falls in to a permanent sleep. Mana tries to go back to school, but discovers that thanks to Tomomi, everyone now hates her. After she drops out and finishes the year being homeschooled by one of the Sisters from the school, Mana confesses she wants to start fresh at a new school, where she can experience what her brother did. The sister tells mana of a high school called St. Spica, were she could continue her education on a scholarship program and pay minimal tuition if she worked as a school librarian hand. She accepts, looking forward to the future and being the best that she can. Deep down inside, she still longs for someone to take the place of her brother, and look after her, but perhaps, there is another purpose for her coming here. Perhaps, after having growing up a lot, there is another role she is destined to play...
