Kiyoko's always had a weak body, and even gets exhausted trying to play a wind instrument. But she doesn't mind it most of the time, and she learned to play the violin!
Because of her extended family's veiw of her and her weak body, she doesn't think that she'll ever be good for anything and has low self-esteem. What does your character think of the other schools?
She thinks the girls from Spica are a little scary because of how competitive and athletic they are, but she's sure they're still very nice. Lulim to her just seems cute~ Although she thinks the nuns at Miator are scary, she still loves the school.
History before coming to Astraea Hill:
Kiyoko was born into a wealthy household, and was an only child until the time she was eleven, when her parents had another baby. Since she didn't have any siblings to play with as a child, she befriended her neighbor, even though he was much older than her. Despite this, the two became very close. The boy eventually saw her as nothing less than his precious only younger sister, as he was a brother to her. Unfortunately, one day he went off to college, and Kiyoko never heard from him again.
She had other friends, of course. She was actually pretty popular in school because of how small and cute she was. One time, she even had a boy confess to her.
Her mom worked as a police officer and her dad was a doctor. Her mother was always teaching her to forgive people, and to be honest and kind. Since she always came home talking about protecting people, that became an important part of Kiyoko's personality. Her dad was always taking care of and looking after her. She wanted to be able to make people feel better, just like him. He's her inspiration for wanting to be a vet.
Despite the small size of her family, her extended family was nothing but huge. Both her mother and her father had many siblings, and as a result, she was one of many cousins.
Because of her weak body, none of the adults in her family thought she would amount to anything, which eventually led to Kiyoko thinking the same thing. Despite their negative attitude towards her, they still expected her to do well in school. And she does, for them.
