What does your character usually wear to class? What does she wear outside of class? To class, Arceia likes to keep it simple- She has a business uniform for just the occasion. Outside of class, she still doesn't stray too far from business attire, except at home. On the streets, one might see her in a button-down T-shirt and a yellow ribbon accenting that, in place of the collar she used to wear. At her apartment, she basically throws all of that formal stuff out the window and dresses as she used to- vests, jeans, hoodies, or whatever else she has from her school days that still fits.
Please describe your character's personality in at least 200 words or more:
She's not an introvert, but she doesn't like to start the conversation either. She does get involved when she can, but she's never one to start the events. Her mind is always wandering, giving her a spacey look and causing her to bump into things and people often.
So then the fifth year came...
Her ability to socialize has greatly improved over the course of the past year, thanks to her room mate and girlfriend. Although she has gained significant confidence in herself and in the world around her, she still gets discouraged sometimes. The difference being, at this stage in her life, rather than balling up and crying or giving up, she bounces back rather quickly, never letting things get to her too long, because of the shoulder she now has to cry on when she needs to.
And then starting year six...
Arceia, after being mentally and physically violated, has allowed some of her perverse side to slip out in short bursts before. As of now she is a time bomb of sin, just waiting for Chiyo to make even the slightest hint towards temptation.
Very close to graduation, Arceia regained control of herself, and has since become cold, calculative, and very professional. She retains some of her previous personalities, being that she can still show a silly flirtatious side, and that if she is in a high stress situation, she is still liable to snap. However, the quirky, energetic Arceia that the campus knew as Etoile only comes out around friends and family, and DEFINITELY not while at work.
Was your character a student at Astraea Hill before becoming a staff member? Yes
Please explain your character's history in 150 words or more:
History Before Astraea Hill:
Arceia was adopted by the Aeducan family at age 6 after being abandoned by her parents and twin brother. The Aeducans, while dominantly English, actually had Japanese relatives such as the wealthy Amaterasu family, famous for computer software and other electronic related business, and the Kohma family which flew relatively under the radar. Because of this, Arceia grew up getting a lot of things handed to her, and despite knowing that she was abandoned, found her new family quite entertaining.
Her adopted sisters were a constant support line, almost babying her to the point that she started to only follow what they wanted. This lead to an introverted teenager down the road, but we'll come back to that later. Her closest friend was her cousin June Kohma. They took part in many grade school activities together and, until Arceia turned 12, they were near inseparable. However, it was at that age that things went awry. The two started developing feelings for each other, which lead to a night that would ruin them. They shared a tent while camping one night, and things happened that caused a long, awkward night. June came to her senses and realized they were family, and that this was wrong. She abandoned Arceia in the tent and headed home alone.
Already abandoned once, this made Arceia fairly depressed and even more clingy. More than that though, she wanted to get back at June for making her feel safe only to take it away. One afternoon, the two got in a "play" stick fight, and Arceia gave her a scar to remember. Her smile was a little too wide for that to have been normal. It did feel good getting revenge, after all.
It was shortly after this that the Aeducans and Amaterasus began talking of her High School needs. Drey Mirroheart, a close family friend to all three families and a very wealthy man, offered to pay her entire tuition, and the family decided to ship her off to Lulim in Japan, to be closer to her cousins. It was a way for her to get in touch with the side of the family she really never got to see.
Life as a student at Astraea:
During her first three years, she generally flew under the radar. She kept to herself, joined a few theater activities as stage crew, and kept her grades fairly solid. Her first three years were so typical that they were not even documented- She did her job and nothing more. Never even tried making friends. Her first room mate barely spoke to her, and the name of that girl completely eludes her.
Then she got a room transfer in her fourth year.
One Chiyo sakura, as it may be. They met by chance, and as it turned out, they were bound to the same room by coincidence. She would joke that it was fate, but that's just her. The room arrangements were simple as well- Chiyo had her things, and Arceia had hers, and that was fine. In truth, there wasn't a whole lot going on until she was randomly elected onto Student Council. And random it was- Supposedly, nobody ran at all that year, so the nuns simply drew a name from the highest GPAs among all the students of Lulim. She was just lucky.
Then, to celebrate, Chiyo took the girl to a cherry tree. The air and the scene reminded her so much of that night with June that she forced a hug onto the blonde, and confessed a love to her. Obviously with such short notice, she was rejected. But things would not end there. They got to know each other, and through everything including Arceia catering to Chiyo after surgery to Arceia's aunt passing away, they supported each other. What was at first a spur of emotion became legitimate affection, so much so that Arceia risked her position as President to sneak a specific song into the Winter Ball playlist, just for Chiyo. She also stitched a stuffed cat together despite being a terrible seamstress, and left a confession letter hidden underneath Chiyo's desk.
That Winter Ball was the beginning of a dark time for Arceia. It began with her halfway confessing her feelings again, but then tragedy struck. All of the pent up stress and frustration exploded-literally- as she slipped on the ice and a blood vessel in her head popped. Bleeding from the nose and surely catching hypothermia, Chiyo finally spotted her, and the rest is a blacked out mess ending with both of them catching the mentioned Hypothermia. However, Arceia required some pretty serious surgery, and when she came to after a few days, she had amnesia.
Being under this amnesiac state, she became much ruder and cared little for anything. It took her cousin Ryoko having a rather stern talk with her to straighten that out, and even though it didn't fix her memory, it did keep her from snapping at everyone.
What finally snapped her memory back was Chiyo's love confession. It seemed that the blonde had found her confession letter, and the feelings welled up into one kiss which jogged everything.
The two then agreed to run for Etoile, and were fairly honored when the title was indeed given to them. This achievement actually sparked some media attention, as the Etoile position often did. However, it caught the attention of one Jill Allistair- Arceia's biological sister. She did some investigating, found that it was indeed her sister, and sent Arceia a letter asking to meet her. It wasn't easy to face a family you had long since disowned, but Arceia managed to reconcile with at the very least her twin brother, and is starting to get to know her sister, since the girl was born after Arceia was abandoned.
The time came when she would lose herself again though, as despite how well she managed to keep her libido in check, a Spican named Shoka would set it off. An unwanted grope here and there, some sly insults, and that was all it took to completely wreck her for a short time. She wanted revenge, the same as when she got it on June. Shoka had to pay for these damages. However, as she never saw Shoka again and had no way of finding her considering she was graduating that same year, she misplaced her aggression on Chiyo- Nearly taking her innocence. She did manage to stop herself, but the trauma was there and done. She could no longer face the girl and, much as June did to her, Arceia ran off. That cycle had come full circle.
During her last year at school, Arceia moved in with her distant cousin Samus off campus. The apartment was small but doable, especially because Samus hired her as an assistant- And Samus was a defense attorney. The money was, to say the least, VERY good. For a time, she could keep herself in check. It took all of her willpower to finally regain total control of her own libido though. When she did, she managed to confront Chiyo-Albeit by accident- and attempt to reconcile. To her surprise, the blonde didn't hate her, and the two began their relationship anew.
Arceia proposed on Valentine's Day, at the Amaterasu estate. They are to be married before she begins her second job as Lulim's Chancellor in just a few short years after graduating.
Years since she became a member of the school staff: (This section is for you to add information next year. At the end of each year you will be asked to add a summary to this section about what your role played the previous year. Sample post:
"Sorry for the abrupt call. But they offered me the yard for a while and I just couldn't say no."
This earned a confused expression, to which Arceia simply giggled and shook her head.
"I don't expect you to know what's going on. That's why I'm here to explain."
And then, there were Ike and Ayano, hanging out on a bench outside. Just barely within earshot. Chiyo seemed to stiffen up, as if thinking something bad was going to happen. Admittedly, with the past they had, it was a pretty good assumption. And this might be the only time it was wrong.
"From the moment we met, you've been my life- I became ambitious, trying to prove myself to you. I took on so much responsibility in order to prove to myself that I could protect you as well as show you how I really felt. Those years ago, at the cherry tree... My entire life changed that day."
She took in a deep breath and approached the girl, slowly at first, before all but stopping right in front of her. Without warning, she grabbed the girl's hand, and kissed her. There was no delay between that and the shifting of both their hands, as Arceia moved about exactly as she planned. All of this took so much courage, and so much planning... It was impressive that she hadn't fainted yet, especially looking back on their history.
Finally, when she pulled away, she released Chiyo's hand, and on it was an almost perfectly made for her diamond ring. In the short time it took to process what was going on, Arceia had turned a beaming red. The other item she wanted to buy today was a total memory by now. By the way, that wasn't anything important at all- just a misdirection to leave you in suspense of this. She was going out for a new band for her collar after this is all.
"Today, it'll all change again. I don't know how you'll take this, but... This is a pretty Western way of doing things."
"Will you marry me, Chiyo?"
