Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Shun Sando can be a difficult person to figure out. She seems to have picked up traits from both of her parents that often seem to be at odds with one another. She is equal parts interested in the world of science and technology as she is of the occult and paranormal phenomena. Shun loves gadgets and gizmos of various kinds and is an unabashed geek when it comes to these things. And yet, she can be most often found reading books on the Bermuda Triangle, alien abductions and haunted houses.
And this is to say nothing of her interest in magic. Not actual magic, mind you. She has yet to successfully cast a proper spell (much to her own chagrin). But, she is rather talented when it comes to sleight of hand trickery. Actually, she finds the construction of an illusion to be as equally intriguing as the real McCoy. Even if real magic is just out of her reach, Shun takes pride in her ability to pull the wool over people’s eyes.
Most people tend to find her a bit cool and aloof. Her penchant for trickery has done little to help her reputation. She’s actually quite fond of her puzzling reputation. Confusing people with impromptu magic shows is one of her greatest joys. But, she can be oddly sweet, at times. Producing a bouquet of flowers out of thin air, whenever she spots a girl looking a little down in the dumps. As much as she likes to pull of some odd tricks, she does like making people happy. At her heart, Shun is a lot more caring than she might appear.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? A romantic concept that does strike her fancy.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Possibly. She would need a proper assistant to pull that trick off, though.
What does your character think of Sado Kagami and Kitsuki Sha, the current etoiles? She is enamored with Kitsuki’s headphones and badly wants a chance to crack them open and find out what’s inside. As for Kitsuki, herself, she finds the girl especially cute.
Sado, though, is a bit of an enigma. From what she’s been able to gather from the gossip letters, it seems almost insane that the Seme Etoile hasn’t made a move on her partner. Beyond that, she seems a bit too serious to Shun.
What does your character think of the other schools? They both strike her as terribly boring places to attend. All of those strict rules and guidelines. She prefers the loose and carefree attitude of Le Rim. She doesn’t see the need to hold that against any of the students from either campus, however. She’s perfectly willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
Shun comes from relatively humble origins. Her father is an engineer who owns several small electronics shops, including one in the famed Akihabara. He was always had a passionate love for tinkering with computers and other devices, often trying to build odd contraptions that intended to make everyday life just a little easier (that more often tended to overcomplicate things). Her mother, meanwhile, was an author. She’s sold most of her short stories to magazines and even has a novel published. Currently, she’s working on a fantasy novel, trying to establish a name for herself in the genre. She’s always had a far more eclectic taste than Shun’s father and can grow quite obsessive with her subject matter.
Shun’s life may not have been one of wealth and fame, but it was never dull. Bouncing between her parents, she took interest in each of their hobbies/professions and seemed to blend them together. Soon, she was using a little bit of both to put on magic shows, oftentimes outside of her father’s shop. The fact that it drew in a few customers only made her father encourage that sort of behavior.
The only thing her mother wished of her daughter was that she would be a bit more sociable. Shun could be rather difficult when it came to interacting with her peers. Not to mention that most schools didn’t really approve her antics…especially when they involved smoke machines in the hallways. So, she sought a school that might be more accepting of Shun and the choice became readily apparent. With her knack for computers and the eclectic set of skills she had acquired so far, it was only a matter of pooling together enough money to send her to Le Rim.
(Below are the sections for your character's history during her time on Astraea Hill. If you are joining as a first year, you do not have to fill out the sections below until the end of the year. If you are joining as any other year please make up a history for any years before her current year, even if she was attending another campus. If you have already played your character here on SPRP for a year or more (in rp time), please add any events you role played to the appropriate history section. Any years you have not yet played, you may leave blank, but you will fill them out when your character reaches that year in school.
First Year: She arrived on campus, but found making friends to be a little hard. Her peculiar nature was a bit off-putting, so most of her fellow students weren’t quite sure what to make of the weird girl who always carried that deck of cards around. Still, she managed to enjoy herself during her club activities and during her other after school activities.
Second Year: The second year was a bit easier in the friend making department. After befriending most of the candidates for Etoile, Shun had a rather successful show at the cultural festival and is in plans for making an even better one! Still, she is on the lookout for any like minded individuals who might want to join in her in her never ending quest to find true evidence of the paranormal.
Third Year: In her third year, Shun found things to be very interesting. She kept herself quite busy with her magic shows, but also met a few interesting people as well. She met Kakura Taiyo in the ruins of Miator and while the girl seemed to be rather flirty with her, she appeared more interested in the teal haired "pirate" at the Winter Ball. Not that Shun wasn't something of a flirt in her own right. And as the year progressed, she became interested in aspirations beyond her magic and paranormal interests. Becoming Student Council President of LeRim. In her successful run, Shun met a girl she would soon be working with for quite some time. A rather shy girl named Sachiko Aizawa. Intrigued by the red-haired girl, she is making a special effort to get to know her better.
Fourth Year: Over the course of her tenure as President of Le Rim's Student Council, Shun became a little more acquainted with that shy council member. The pair worked closely on many projects and Shun has become rather fond of her. Her time as president, also brought her into contact with her counterparts from the other two schools of Astraea Hill. The peculiar St. Spica President and the enigmatic Miator president. And, of course, the last Etoile. A rather colorful pair, they were. Over all, Shun couldn't have been more proud of the job she and the Le Rim Student Council had done. She is running for the position again, in the hopes of continuing her work.

Sample Post:
Shun Sando gave a bow to the brief smattering of applause. Maybe if the other Le Rim girls knew they were about to see a magic act out in the hallway, they would be a bit more enthusiastic, but most wanted to get to their next class. Her own fault for the timing of it. But, it was still fun. The cute fifth year had made a rather nice blush when she had plucked the Queen of Hearts from her blouse. That might have been a little much, but Shun just couldn’t help herself. It had to be done.
She shuffled the deck as she strolled back to her classroom. She would have to try some other tricks out later…but which ones? Card tricks were fun, but she wanted to try something a bit more challenging. If only she could find someone to cut in half. Now that would be something!
And not literally, of course…that would be messy. Not to mention frowned upon. Maybe some sword swallowing, then? Something that might lead to more audience participation. If she pulled off a few stunts, then maybe that might put a few more people at ease. Then she could woo some cute girl with an amazing performance! Shun’s cheeks blushed a little at the thought of having a pretty assistant to share the stage with her. She could even try throwing daggers! Maybe rest an apple on her head, too. Her fantasies were interrupted by the stern voice of the teacher. Apparently, she was supposed to actually take her seat and learn something, now. School was incredibly inconvenient like that.
